This paper discusses on how the Directorate General of State Assets Management (DGSAM), as the state-owned asset manager, under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, analyses the best suited strategy to map public assets. The tremendous amount of assets to be managed are scattered all over Indonesian archipelago. As one of the revenue centres for the nation, DGSAM needs to have more information about the feasibility of those assets. This study addresses the mapping of potential state-owned assets and measures the potential revenue to find out how much that can be generated from them. Asset mapping was done using geographical information system analysis, while the potential value of the appraised assets is calculated using artificial neural network. The study takes place in Palangkaraya, the largest city in this country, which might be the promising capital city of Indonesia in the near future. Based on the findings, it is clear that the government assets which can be exploited in Palangkaraya alone are about 14,302 m2 of land with the potential revenue of USD 86,040/year, and 141 rooms which are predicted to generate around USD 106,342/year, with appropriate occupancy rate in the market.

This paper focuses on the similarity of functions between Trademarks and Limited Liability Company Name, namely quality assurance function, which enables both to provide a guarantee on the reputation of goods and/or services offered to the consumer. Such similarity of functions between those two different legal terminology opens a loophole for any party, based on bad faith, to conduct passing off towards a registered trademarks owned by another party through the use of a limited liability company name. This paper shows the urgency of a harmonization and integration between the mechanism of applying for Trademark registration and the submission of the name of a limited liability company in Indonesia. Therefore, this paper will examine and criticize the laws and regulations relating to the two terminology above, inter alia the Law Number 20 of 2016 regarding Trademarks and Geographical Indications and the Government Regulation Number 43 of 2011 regarding Procedures for Filing and Use of Limited Liability Company Name. This paper concludes that the government of the Republic of Indonesia must immediately amend the regulation on the requirements for submitting the name of a limited liability company, by requiring the Directorate General of General Legal Administration to reject the name of a limited liability company that uses a name that has been registered as a brand by another party.

The objective of this study was to determine the transmission dynamics of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and to evaluate the vigilance of the health system during the early phase of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak in Indonesia. The early epidemiology and transmission chains of COVID-19 were analyzed based on data from the Directorate General of Disease Prevention and Control of the Indonesian Ministry of Health. The results of this study shown although Indonesia is a country with a high relative importation risk of SARS-CoV-2, the first two cases of COVID-19 were identified on March 2, 2020. This relatively late date by regional standards raises the possibility of undetected cases beforehand. The first case was a foreigner citizen who visited the capital city of Jakarta and later was diagnosed COVID-19 after returning from Indonesia. One week later after the first case, 27 confirmed COVID-19 cases had been reported in Indonesia, and the majority of the cases were clustered together. Apart from the possibility of underdetection of COVID-19 cases in the country, the government has strengthened the disease surveillance system and established an outbreak preparedness system to diagnose and control COVID-19.

The Civil War in GeorgiaOn 9 April 1991, the Republic of Georgia proclaimed its independence from the Soviet Union. Sviat Gamsakhurdia, an anti-communist leader of the Georgian Nationalist movement, was elected President by an overwhelming majority. Soon after the election, however, Gamsakhurdia's popularity began to plummet. He was accused of suppressing any opposition, and he and his supporters accused the opposition of being in league with Moscow and seeking to sabotage Georgian independence. Demonstrators in Tbilisi, the capital city, demanded the resignation of the new government, and the government relied increasingly upon armed forces to maintain power.

Generation of black money and its stashing abroad in tax havens and offshore financial centres have dominated discussions and debate in public fora during the recent past. Members of Parliament, the Supreme Court of India and the public at large have unequivocally expressed concern on the issue, particularly after some reports suggested estimates of such unaccounted wealth being held abroad. After uproar in Parliament, Government of India came out with a White Paper on Black Money in May 2012. The White Paper presented the different facets of black money and its complex relationship with policy and administrative regime in the country. It also reflected upon the policy options and strategies that the Government had been pursuing in the context of recent initiatives, or need to take up in the near future, to address the issue of black money and corruption in public life. Amid growing debate between scientists and policymakers on the trade-off between public safety and reviving economy during the COVID-19 pandemic, the government of Bangladesh decided to relax the countrywide lockdown restrictions from the beginning of June 2020. Instead, the Ministry of Public Affairs officials have declared some parts of the capital city and a few other districts as red zones or high-risk areas based on the number of people infected in the late June 2020. Nonetheless, the COVID-19 infection rate had been increasing in almost every other part of the country. Ironically, rather than ensuring rapid tests and isolation of COVID-19 patients, from the beginning of July 2020, the Directorate General of Health Services restrained the maximum number of tests per laboratory. Thus, the health experts have raised the question of whether the government is heading toward achieving herd immunity instead of containing the COVID-19 pandemic. In this paper, the dynamics of the pandemic due to SARS-CoV-2 in Bangladesh is analyzed with integrated the Unscented Kalman Filter (UKF) in the SIRD model. We demonstrate that the herd immunity threshold can be reduced to 31% than that of 60% by considering age group cluster analysis resulting in a total of 53.0 million susceptible populations. With the data of COVID-19 cases till January, 2021, the time-varying reproduction numbers are used to explain the nature of the pandemic. Based on the estimations of active, severe and critical cases, we discuss a set of policy recommendations to improve the current pandemic control methods in Bangladesh.
