Factors Influencing Employee Motivation in Indian University: A Case Study of Banaras Hindu University

This paper is an attempt to identify the role played by rewards (Payment, Promotion, etc.) in motivating employees. The study explores factors determining rewards and their level of contribution towards employee motivation along with the relationship between rewards and motivation and differences in the motivation of employees based on the demographic variables. Descriptive statistics is used in the study to provide information on demographic variables. The results are analyzed in terms of descriptive statistics followed by inferential statistics on the variables. The study revealed multiple factors affecting employee work motivation and performance which have got their own unique approach, significance and contribution towards motivation and performance that elevate and maximize organizational progress. A quantitative methodology was used for the study and questionnaire method was used as the measuring instrument. A total of 250 questionnaires were distributed to respondents and a total of 202 employees completed the questionnaire. The four independent variables of reward included, payment, promotion, recognition, benefits and the dependent variable was employee work motivation. The results indicate that there is a statistical significant relationship between all of the independent variables with dependent variable employee work motivation, all the independent variables have a positive influence on employee work motivation and results also showed that among four independent variables, promotions was most important and more influential variable.

The purpose of this research is to gain an overview of karakeristik of work, organizational commitment, motivation and performance of employees at the Department ofmarine and Fisheries province of Jambi and to know the influence of characteristicsof work and commitment the Organization's response to the employee motivation and performance, as well as to know the influence of motivation on performance. To address the research objectives then requires the author studies the theory related to the variable of research i.e. the theory of characteristics of work, organizational commitment, motivation and performance. In addition the author also searched for relevant earlier research in the form of articles/journals and previous thesis to supportthis research. The population in this research is the Department of Marine and fisheries officer province of Jambi that add up to 57 employees. Due to the number of population in this study less than 100 people then in this research sampling method using the method of census. Analysis techniques using path analysis to see the direct and indirect influence, and was succeeded by testing RSquare and hypothesis testing partially and simultaneous with t-test and F-test of the test path analysis is done, the results Research shows that the characteristics of the work and the commitment of the Organization to have an impact on the motivation and performance of employees. Where on the basis of the results of the test t (partial) and F (Simultaneous) tests showed that the characteristics of the work and the commitment of the Organization had a significant and positive influence towards motivation and performance, so did motivasijuga have influence significant and positive on performance. This explains that the characteristics of the work and commitment of organizations that either have a positive influence in providing and enhancing motivation to work-have implications for improved performance against employees at the Department of marine and Fisheries The Province Of Jambi. This research makes some conclusions based on the results of research of characteristics of work, organizational commitment, motivation and performance of employees at the Department of marine and Fisheries province of Jambi in good enough conditions, characteristics the work and the commitment of the Organization a positive and significant effect against the motivation of working either partially or simultaneously, the characteristics of the job and the Organization's commitment to a positive and significant effect on performance of goodemployees partially or simultaneously, work motivation affects employee performance, and the characteristics of the work and commitment of organizations collectivelythrough motivation can direct and indirect effect against against performance employees at the Department of marine and Fisheries province of Jambi.Keywords: organizational commitment, Job Characteristics, Motivasidan performance.

The purpose of this research is to obtain an overview of the assessment of work performance, compensation, work motivation and employee performance at PT. BCA Tbk KCU Jambi; and to know the effect of work performance assessment and compensation directly and indirectly on employee motivation and performance; and to know the influence of motivation on performance. The population in this study was employees at PT. Bca. Tbk KCU Jambi with a total of 125 employees. The size or number of samples in this study was determined based on the theory developed by Slovin with a value of e = 10%, so that 56 samples were obtained. Analysis techniques use path analysis to see direct and indirect influence, and continued by testing R Square and hypothesis testing partially and simultaneously with t test and F test. Where based on the results of t test (partial) and test F (Simultaneous) shows that the assessment of work performance and compensation has a significant and positive influence on motivation and performance, as well as motivation also has a significant and positive influence on performance. This explains that if the assessment of work performance and compensation can be carried out properly, it will have a positive influence in improving the motivation of work that has implications for improving employee performance at PT. BCA Tbk KCU Jambi. Based on some of the conclusions obtained, the suggestions that can be given in this study include the future expected leadership of PT. Bank Central Asia. Tbk Jambi Main Branch Office can carry out performance assessments carried out objectively. In addition, this research needs to be followed up again to see what factors can affect employee performance comprehensively, in order to answer other factors (epsilon) that affect employee performance.

The research aims to analyze how WFH influences corporate culture through the availability of work facilities, motivation, work behavior, and employee performance. It is quantitative research using structural equation modeling. Data were obtained from 32 respondents that spread across Jakarta, Bekasi, and West Java. The results of this research show that WFH significantly affects the employee’s motivation. On the other hand, WFH has a significant direct effect on work motivation. Work motivation significantly affects work behavior. Work behavior affects employee performance significantly, and performance has a significant effect on innovative corporate culture. The analysis on the specific indirect effect resulted in significantly influencing innovation corporate culture from home through employee motivation, work behavior, and employee performance. Further research could explore the WFH-implementing mechanism as part of a culture of innovation for sustainable human resource development in the new-normal era of Indonesian companies

  Abstrak   Penelitian pengaruh kepemimpinan dan motivasi kerja bertujuan untuk  untuk menguji pengaruh kepemimpinan dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai baik secara parsial maupun simultan pada PT Cladtek Bi-Metal Manufacturing Batam. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan metode kuesioner dan analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda menggunakan uji F dan uji T. Pengambilan data dengan menggunakan sensus, sehingga data diambil dari seluruh populasi. Variabel independen terdiri dari kepemimpinan dan motivasi kerja, dan variabel dependennya adalah kinerja pegawai. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menguji validitas dan reliabilitas instrument, selanjutnya data dianalisis dan diuji menggunakan Uji F dan Uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial variabel kepemimpinan berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, dan variabel motivasi kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan.  Sedangkan secara simultan variabel kepemimpinan dan variabel motivasi kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Kata kunci : Kepemimpinan, Motivasi Kerja, Kinerja Pegawai   Abstract   Research influence of leadership and work motivation aims to to test the influence of leadership and work motivation on employee performance either partially or simultaneously at PT Cladtek Bi-Metal Manufacturing Batam. Research data collected by using questionnaire method and data analysis used is multiple linear regression analysis using F test and T test. Intake of data by using census, so that data is taken from entire population. Independent variables consist of leadership and work motivation, and the dependent variable is employee performance. This study was conducted by testing the validity and reliability of the instrument, then the data were analyzed and tested using F Test and T Test. The results showed that the leadership of the influential variables are partially negative and insignificant against the performance of employees, and work motivation variables positive and significant effect on performance of employees.  While simultaneously variable leadership and motivational variables work a positive and significant effect on performance of employees. <p><em>This study focuses on the factors that affect the employee performance in terms of institutions where they work. </em><em>There are three objects or locations that become the research focus, namely educational institutions represented by the state university in East Kalimantan, government institutions represented by the State AdministrationInstitution (LAN) and state-owned institutions represented by PT. Pupuk Kaltim Tbk. The research results show that employee performance is influenced by three factors, namely competence, work motivation, and organizational culture.The performance of government employees is influenced by three factors, namely religiosity, organizational culture, and organizational citizenship behaviors (OCB).</em><em> </em><em>And performance of state-owned employees is influenced only by work motivation.</em><em></em></p>

Theoretically outlined, Employee Performance can be influenced by several variables including Leadership Style, Placement, and Work Motivation. Therefore, the performance of employees at the General Bureau of Setda Jambi Province can also be attributed to these three variables, this is what inspired the authors to conduct the research. Research objectives: 1. To find out the description of leadership style, placement,, motivation, and performance of Employees in the General Bureau of Setda Jambi Province, 2. To know the direct and indirect influence of leadership style and placement on the work motivation of employees in the General Bureau of Setda Jambi Province, 3. To know the direct and indirect influence of leadership style and placement on the performance of Employees in the General Bureau of Setda Jambi Province, 4. To know the influence of leadership style and placement through work motivation on Kinerja Employees in The General Bureau of Setda Jambi Province. This research that became the object of the research was employees of the General Bureau of Setda Jambi Province with a population of 130 people who were used as a research sample. Analysis techniques using Path Analysis tool using SPSS 22 software. The results showed that: 1. Leadership style, placement, motivation and employee performance are in good condition, 2. Leadership and placement styles directly and indirectly affect employee motivation, 3. Leadership and placement styles directly and indirectly affect employee performance, 4. Leadership and placement styles through motivation directly and indirectly affect performance.

This research mainly focuses on analysing the factors affecting customer satisfaction in retail banking in Nepal. The study adopts descriptive and explorative research design to deal with the fundamental issues associated with various factors of customers’ satisfaction and retail banking. The study is based on questionnaire survey of 200 customers of 10 different “A” class financial institutions, i.e. commercial banks. Descriptive statistics, correlation coefficient and regression analysis have been applied to estimate the relationship between customer satisfaction as dependent variable and service quality variables as independent variables. The empirical evidences indicate that reliability, responsiveness, assurance and tangibles factors have positive and significant impact on customer satisfaction. It reveals that higher the level of responsiveness, reliability, assurance and tangibility higher would be the customer satisfaction.

<p><strong>Abstract:</strong> The purpose of this study is to examine the factors affecting the motivation of civil servants at the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province. Based on data collected from 181 officers at the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province,  researchers processed all data by SPSS with some techniques such as: descriptive statistics, Cronbach's Alpha, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Multivariate Regression Analysis... The research results show that there are 6 factors affecting the motivation of officers at the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province, including: (i) Working conditions; (ii) Nature of work; (iii) Career development opportunities; (iv) Income and benefits; (v) Relationship with leaders and (vi) Relationships with colleagues. Based on the research results, a number of solutions have been proposed to improve the work motivation in the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue.</p><p><strong>Keywords: </strong>work motivation, civil servants, Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Committee</p>

The study aims to identify the main factors affecting the motivation of officials and employees at the Vietnam National University of Forestry, Southern Campus. The research team collected primary data through the survey of 215 officials working at Vietnam National University of Forestry, Southern Campus. The research methods used are descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), scale test (Cronbach’s Alpha), regression correlation analysis, and testing of the research hypotheses. As a result, 5 factors have been found to be affecting employees' working motivation, including: promotion opportunities and career development; wages, bonuses and benefits, stable jobs; leader; friendship colleague. On this basis, the study proposes a number of recommendations to improve the motivation of school officials.
