This research is underpinned by the lack of blame for students ' science process skills that can result in no achievement of learning objectives. The proper application of learning models is one of the alternatives to addressing the problem. One of the learning models that can be applied is the learning model predict observe explain (POE). This research aims to determine the implementation of the learning model predict observe explain and its influence on the skills of the students ' science process on electrolyte and nonelectrolytic solution material in grade X MIA SMAN 9 Jambi City. The approach used in this research is a mix method by using both qualitative data and quantitative data. Sampling techniques are performed with purposive sampling. The instrument used is an observation sheet for the implementation of the model by both teachers and students and the observation sheet of Students ' science process skills. Qualitative data analysis techniques using Miles and Huberman and quantitative data analysis techniques using the correlation test of product moment and test-T. The management of the POE model by the teacher has increased each meeting, the percentage of the implementation of POE models by students is 74.56% with good categorize, and the percentage of students ' science process skills is 73.33% categorized. The implementation relationship of POE model by students with the skills of students ' science process categorized very strongly with the value of Rxy 0.849. The signification test was obtained Thitung > this (9,013 > 2,036) with DK 32 and α = 0.05 so that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. Based on the results of the research can be concluded that the implementation of POE learning model on electrolyte and nonelectrolytic solution material affects the students ' science process skills in X MIA class SMAN 9 Jambi City.

Model pembelajaran transformasi tekscerita efektif dan layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca apresiatifsiswa kelas XII SMK.Kata kunci: transformasi teks, model pembelajaran, membaca apresiatifTHE TRANSFORMATION OF FOLKLORE TEXTSINTO ILLUSTRATED STORIES AS A LEARNING MODELOF APPRECIATIVE READINGAbstractThis study aims to describe the transformation of folklore texts into illustrated storiesas a learning model of appreciative reading. This was a research and development studyusing a qualitative-quantitative mixed strategy with a sequential exploratory design. Thedata were qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed using a validation test by matchingthe pretest and the posttest. The results of the analysis of the t-test for the pretest and theposttest in the small-scale tryout, large-scale tryout, and validation test showed significantdifferences. The results of the analysis of the difference between two means in the first orsmall-scale tryout showed t =11.992 with a difference of 16.785 between the pretest scoreand the posttest score and a significance value of 0.000. Therefore, it can be concludedthat the developed learning model using the transformation of story texts can improveappreciative reading skills. The model is effective and appropriate to be used to improvethe appreciative reading skills of Grade XII students of the vocational high school. Keywords: transformation of texts, learning model, appreciative reading

The significant influence of the 21st century brought a change in Physics learning. Students are required to have the skills to think, work, and live in the surrounding environment. To achieve 21st-century skills needed teaching materials that can support the learning process. With the presence of teaching materials, students are more active in building their knowledge and easy to understand the material provided. Teaching materials that can guide students with a productive task to practice is the student worksheet. A student worksheet is a teaching material that contains a set of activities to maximize students understanding in achievement of competence. To improve the competence of students, one of the efforts that teachers to develop quality student worksheet. A student worksheet is considered qualified if has validity criteria. The validity assessment of the student worksheet is carried out by expert reviews. This research aims to determine the validity of the student worksheet using an inquiry-based learning model with a science process skills approach. The research conducted is design research using the Plomp model with the type of development studies, where validity is at the stage of development. The research instrument used a validity questionnaire to be filled by expert reviews, then analyzed using Aiken's V formula. The result of the validity showed that the student worksheet using an inquiry-based learning model with a science process skills approach having valid criteria with a value of 0.88. It means that the student worksheet is decent for use in Physics learning.

This classroom action research was motivated by the students’ lowscience process skills and cognitive learning outcome in naturalscience. One of the reasons is the lack of teachers’ ability in choosingappropriate learning models and using of science props in natural sciencelearning. Thus, the implementation of the Problem Based Learning modelwith science props to students of class IV SD Negeri 15 Surau GadangSiteba Padang is one of the ways to solve this problem. The objective ofthis research is to describe the improvement of the students’ scienceprocess skills and cognitive learning outcome in natural science in classIV at SD Negeri 15 Surau Gadang Siteba Padang by using ProblemBased Learning model with science props. The instruments of thisresearch were the observation sheets of students’ science process skillsand teachers’ activities and the test sheets of students’ cognitive learningoutcome. The results showed that there was a significant improvementof students’ science process skills and cognitive learning outcome innatural science class IV by using Problem Based Learning model withscience props from the first cycle to the second cycle.
