The Study aims to examine residents’ perception of positive festival impacts, social cohesion and cultural benefits on the relationship between community attachment and well-being. An integration of the Social Exchange and Affect Theories are employed to develop and test a conceptual model that test the interrelationships. The quantitative research approach is used to conduct the study on resident attendees of the Jameson Festival in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Via the convenience sampling technique data are collected. Results of the study indicate that festivals foster community cohesiveness and community attachment. They also show that the perceived positive festival impact: community cohesiveness is strongly related to community attachment and well-being; community attachment mediates the relationships. Contrarily, though the relationship between festival cultural preservation and community attachment was partially supported, there was no significant association to well-being. The theoretical implications of the study lay mainly on the introduction of a new theory to the festival body of studies and the study’ findings shed light and direction on practical implications and future directions for festival organizers and scholars

There are three syntaxes of 3-stage levels of high order thinking skills recommended by Bloom's taxonomy. It consists of analyzing, evaluating, and creating. The type of this research is a descriptive qualitative study analysis based on a literature review of e-LKPD and equipped with the PQ4R strategy as an effort to increase the HOTS of students. The research subjects were educators and fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 1 Purwosari, Padangratu Sub-District, Central Lampung. The research objects are HOTS, PQ4R, and e-LKPD. The data collection instrument used interview guidelines, questionnaires, and tests. The cause of the low HOTS of students is the inadequacy of teaching materials and learning strategies used in training HOTS abilities. The results of the study found that educators had not fully used e-LKPD teaching materials. Educational units also require learning strategies that can increase HOTS. PQ4R is one of the learning strategies that can be applied as a solution to increase students' HOTS. Educators need e-LKPD that contains PQ4R learning strategies that are following the characteristics of students. Thus, it can be concluded that the PQ4R-based e-LKPD to improve the HOTS of students in primary schools needs to be developed.

The unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic has caused a traffic tie-up across the world. In addition to home quarantine orders and travel bans, the social distance guideline of about six feet was enacted to reduce the risk of contagion. However, with recent life gradually returning to normal, the crisis is not over. In this research, a moving train test and a Gaussian puff model were employed to investigate the impact of wind raised by a train running on the transmission and dispersion of SARS-CoV-2 from infected individuals. Our findings suggest that the 2 m social distance guideline may not be enough; under train-induced wind action, human respiratory disease-carrier droplets may travel to unexpected places. However, there are deficiencies in passenger safety guidelines and it is necessary to improve the quantitative research in the relationship between train-induced wind and virus transmission. All these findings could provide a fresh insight to contain the spread of COVID-19 and provide a basis for preventing and controlling the pandemic virus, and probe into strategies for control of the disease in the future.

The knowledge, skills, and attitudes manifested in health and physical education school curricula are an arbitrary selection of that which is known and valued at a particular place and time. Bernstein’s (2000) theories of the social construction of knowledge offer a way to better understand the relationship between the production, selection, and reproduction of curricular knowledge. This article overviews contemporary knowledge in the primary field (production) upon which curriculum writers in the recontextualizing field may draw. It highlights tensions in the knowledge generated within the primary field and, using a case of the USA’s National Standards for Physical Education (NASPE), demonstrates how particular discourses become privileged when translated into curriculum documents in the recontextualizing field.
