Introduction. Industrial injuries are one of the most pressing problems in the field of occupational safety at enterprises of the main industries in the Russian Federation. Most cases of such injuries are noted when moving goods and people by means of various types of interfactory transport. A set of regulatory documents developed in recent years by the Government of the country is dedicated to solving this problem. In accordance with the current trends in the development of new technical solutions, the use of a complex of devices based on IT-technologies is effective. This article is devoted to improving the safety of interfactory and company motor and electric vehicles by introducing modern digital devices. Problem Statement. Almost all large industrial enterprises have a need to move goods and personnel both to the place of production activities and within the enterprises. Motor and electric vehicles used for these purposes do not always undergo a maintenance check, they often undergo technical inspection and repairs with whatever funds remains, and always the personnel operating these vehicles do not have permission to drive. Possible accidents with interfactory and company vehicles occurring as a result of insufficient control over the technical condition of vehicles and inadequate or absent medical and administrative checks of the operating personnel can lead to injuries at the enterprise. Theoretical Part. This article proposes methods for reducing traffic accidents of interfactory and company motor and electric vehicles of industrial enterprises and warehouse enterprises through the introduction of remote monitoring of operation based on IT-technologies, operating with the use of mobile applications that use Internet of Things technologies. The options for introducing security elements designed to reduce the number of transport accidents in internal transport of industrial enterprises and warehouse complexes are considered. An experiment was carried out to introduce system components to vehicles of an industrial enterprise. Conclusion. The use of the proposed monitoring and control system for motor and electric vehicles at machine-building enterprises and warehouse complexes will make it possible to quickly resolve issues related to labor protection, the economy of the enterprise and compliance with the labor discipline. In particular, it is planned to reduce vehicle failures due to mechanical failures, as well as to make timely decisions on the removal from driving the drivers who are not feeling well.

Abstract The article shows that effective organization of occupational health and safety (OHS) at industrial enterprises have not only social, but also technical and economic consequences. Analysis of the dependences of the frequency and the severity coefficients of occupational injuries on the cost of OHS measures allowed to draw an important conclusion, that with insufficient funding for injuries protection, the level of injuries remains high enough, and with increasing OHS funds the level of injuries decreases significantly. However, there comes a situation, when further economic stimulation of injuries protection measures does not yield significant results. Definition of technical and economic criteria for assessing the production system from occupational safety indicators is proposed using the apparatus of the probability and queuing theories. An example of calculating the downtime of process equipment due to occupational injuries in the shop of mechanical engineering plant is considered.

According to official statistics, the food industry is characterized by high rates of injury. An important role in preventing occupational injuries is played by the analysis of the causes and circumstances of accidents and, first of all, the bringing of its results to all structural units and employees. The purpose of the article is research and evaluation of industrial hazards during the operation of food industry equipment, scientific substantiation of priority directions of the prevention of traumatism at food enterprises. On the basis of the data of the special investigation of accidents at the Ukrainian industry, an injury analysis was conducted at food industry enterprises. Identified hazardous factors in the operation of food industry equipment. It has been determined that more than a third of injured people were injured when using cars. The second position is accidents related to technological equipment for the food, meat, dairy and fish industry. The main types of events that resulted in injuries include traffic accidents, including traffic accidents on public roads (roads) and on the territory of the enterprise, the effect of moving objects, flying, turning and falling of the victim. The state of professional training in the field of occupational safety of the victims was investigated. Distribution of accidents on causes of occurrence taking into account types of productions has been carried out. It was found that the most traumatic are the production of dairy products and the production of bread, bakery and flour products. The areas of injury in both types of production are: violations of traffic safety rules, violations of labor and production discipline, including non-fulfillment of official duties, requirements of instructions for occupational safety, unsatisfactory technical condition of industrial objects, buildings, structures of engineering communications, territories, means production, vehicles. In order to prevent injuries among food industry workers it is expedient: to provide the proper technical condition of production equipment; to strengthen control over the observance of the requirements of the technological process, the rules of labor protection in the performance of work of increased danger; to ensure the availability of modern means of individual and collective protection and to strengthen control over their use; to implement effective methods of teaching safe working methods.

Introduction. One of the leading causes of occupational health loss, especially in mining and machine-building enterprises, is the combined impact of industrial noise and vibration. The wide prevalence of cardiovascular diseases is one of the most important medical and social problems, due to persistent disability and high mortality, bringing prevention of health disorders to the first place as the basis for preserving labor longevity. The aim of study is to identify the main approaches aimed at preventing health problems in workers who come into contact with vibration and noise at mining and machine-building enterprises. Materials and methods. A survey and survey of 296 industrial workers was conducted. Group 1 (160 people) included men who were exposed to noise and vibration factors above the maximum permissible levels, group 2 consisted of 136 men who did not have direct contact with noise and vibration generating equipment. When conducting an in-depth laboratory and instrumental examination in a hospital setting, all workers additionally calculated the level of cardiovascular risk on the SCORE scale. Statistical analysis was performed using the software package "Statistica 6.0". Results. It is determined that the priority adverse factors of the working environment in production are noise and vibration. It has been shown that individuals who come into contact with these factors are more likely to detect violations of lipid metabolism and endothelial function, have a higher average heart rate and systolic blood pressure, and have an increased risk of developing cardiovascular diseases. Conclusions. Taking into account the obtained results of the proposed diagnostic approaches aimed at the prevention of health disorders among workers of industrial enterprises. If employees are found to have an increased cardiovascular risk, it is necessary to conduct a more in-depth examination and timely medical and preventive measures.

This chapter discusses the roles of government in promoting occupational and environmental health, with a focus on the U.S. federal government. Governmental interventions, as described here, can range from non-regulatory interventions, such as dissemination of information or generation and communication of information, to establishing regulatory requirements through the promulgation and enforcement of standards and regulations. The chapter describes the U.S. laws and roles of the administrative agencies responsible for occupational and environmental health, including the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the Mine Safety and Health Administration, and the Environmental Protection Agency. Noting the budgetary and political constraints on these federal agencies, the chapter goes on to discuss briefly the role of the public and the states. The government also plays a role when preventive efforts fail, and the chapter provides a brief summary of programs designed to provide compensation to injured workers.

The forest products industry is an important socioeconomic sector to many developing countries, both in terms of foreign exchange earnings and employment. In the case of Malaysia, the industry has been one of the fastest growing manufacturing sectors in the country, driven primarily by comparative advantages derived from factor inputs. However, with increasing competition from other cheaper producing nations particularly China and Vietnam, the Malaysian forest products industry is forced to transform and move along the value-chain through innovation and value-addition. Although the government has played a pivotal role in providing a broad policy framework to support value-adding and innovative activities, success on the ground has been limited. The creativity environment, which is plagued with by low-wage economy, coupled with limited network between research, market and industrial enterprises have stifled innovation within the industry. The lack of information and the poor quality human capital has also contributed to the limited innovation within the forest products industry in the country. Against this background, most innovation within the industry is confined to the realms of alternative raw materials, with minimal technological and design variations. Although extensive research and development activities are undertaken, the commercialization potential of the research outputs is limited due to being not market-driven. Inevitably, innovation in the forest products sector must be based on market-needs and must be driven through technological and design change in order to ensure long-term competitiveness.
