The purpose of this research is to prove the benefits of isotonic drinks promised by the manufacturers. This is a quasi-experimental research design involving 20 non-athlete male students. The data were analyzed using t-test.From the data analysis, it was found that there was a significant difference between aerobic endurance before and after drinking isotonic drinks, tobserve (5.398604) > ttable (1.729) at level significant α = 0.05. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that isotonic drinks has a significant effect towards students’ aerobic endurance.

ABSTRACT Objectives: to report the user experience of the webQDA software in the support of qualitative data analysis about health literacy of older adults. Methods: quasi-experimental research developed from January 2014 to January 2015, with 118 older adults, all of whom were interviewed to assess the level of health literacy. Interviews were carried out before and after four educational interventions, according to Freire's method named Culture Circle. The interviews were transcribed and entered in the software, which highlighted the analytical categories. Results: the systems of sources, interpretative encoding and questioning of the data available in the software allowed the construction of three categories for the literacy levels and four categories for their dimensions. Final considerations: We concluded that the webQDA software enables the structured encoding of qualitative materials, ensuring faster and effective management of data with systematization and analytical transparency.

The purpose of this study is to investigate students’ ability in speaking before and after using Direct Method in learning English. The method in this research was experimental quantitative method by using quasi experimental design with one group pretest-posttest model. The design only saw students’ achievement in speaking before and after using Direct Method. The object of the research was English Department students. They were randomly selected. The technique of collecting the data was done through observation and the data were gotten from the students when they did oral communication. The instrument in this research was oral test. The result of this study shown that the use of Direct Method could improve students’ ability in speaking. It was proved from the students’ average was higher after using Direct Method. The data in this research had normal distribution. Based on data analysis by using T-test was gotten that tcount = 7,14 at the significant level = 5% and dk (n-1) = (40-1) =39 was gotten ttable = 1,82. So, tcount > ttable. It proved that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. It’s meant that there was a significant difference between students’ ability before and after implementing Direct Method.

This study aimed to determine the effect of training using the circuit training method on archery skill of the extracurricular students of the Auladi Islamic Primary School Palembang. This type of research was involved in  the category of quasi-experimental research. The population of this study was 35 people, while the sample was determined by purposive sampling so that a sample of 24 male students was obtained. The data was obtained through basic technique test. While data analysis used independent sample t- test. The result of data analysis showed that training using the circuit training method significantly affected the improvement of archery skill, where tvalue ﹥ t table = 4.49> 1.714. Conclusion, the method of circuit training effectively had  a positive influence on archery skill. Keywords:Circuit Training, Metho, Archery

Iraqi grade five pupils often lack proficiency in fractions and lack motivation in learning fractions through the conventional method of teaching. Research has shown that the concrete-representational-abstract (CRA) module helps primary pupils to learn fractions and give them better motivation to learn fractions. The study employed a quasi-experimental research design and two intact grade five classes from an Iraqi school in KL, Malaysia were randomly assigned to the experimental group and control group respectively. The results showed that there was a significant difference in proficiency in fractions and motivation in learning fractions between the groups and favoring the CRA module.

Abstract: Many elements that affect the mastery of dribbling skills, such as agility andspeed. Agility and dribbling speed can be improved by skipping plyometrics workout andside hop. The aimed of this study was to determine the effect of skipping exercise andhop side of the soccer player dribbling skills U16-17 in SSB PSDM Blitar. This researchmethod using quasi-experimental research design. This quasi-experimental design usedin two groups of subjects namely the skipping and side hop with the conventional group.The dribbling test were used as a research instrument. The data analysis technique usedis the analysis of variants (one-way ANOVA). The subjects were soccer player U16-17SSB PSDM totaling 24 players. Results from this study have been analyzed by usinganalysis of variance (one-way ANOVA) with significance level of 0.05. Of the testobtained crieteria (F) 7,30 > 4,30 on results posstest skipping and side hop group, thenfor the conventional group obtained criteria (F) 0.16 < 4.30 for difference between groupsand skipping and side hop with a conventional group acquired criteria (F) amounted to23.32 > 4.30. The conclusion of the research is, skipping exercise and side hop gives abetter effect than conventional exercise to increase soccer player dribbling skills U16-17SSB PSDM Blitar.Key words: experiment, skipping and side hop, dribblingAbstrak: Menggiring bola merupakan salah satu teknik dasar sepakbola yang wajibdikuasai oleh semua pemain sepakbola. The research aimed to describe the effectiveness of the use of caricature media in learning writing of an argumentation paragraphin the tenth class of SMA Negeri 1 Bontoramba Jeneponto. The research design was an experimental research by using quasi-experimental research design. The research subjects were the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Bontoramba Jeneponto in 2015/2016 academic years which consisted of 131 students. They were divided into four classes. The data were analyzed by descriptive and t-test inferential statistics. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the learning writing of an argumentation paragraph by using the environment media and the writing ability of argumentation paragraph by using the caricature media, which was effective tobe used as a learning medium to write an argumentation paragraph at the tenth class of SMA Negeri 1 Bontoramba Jeneponto. Therefore, it can be concluded that the caricature media were effectively used in learning writing of argumentation paragraph.

Students usually feel bored in vocabulary lesson because they have less vocabulary and the teacher used same strategy in every meeting. In learning vocabulary, it is important used attractive strategy in order to the students interest to learn vocabulary. This research focuses on the using of talking stick strategy to the tenth grade students’ vocabulary mastery at SMA Negeri 1 Kasimbar. The researcher applied quasi experimental research design and need pre-test and post-test to both experimental and control class. The pre-test was to know the level of students’ vocabulary mastery ability before giving treatment while the post-test was used to know the result after giving treatment. There was a significant difference score of the post-test of the experimental class (696,64) and the control class (516,66). The level of significance was set up 0,05 with 18 degree of freedom ( (df) = Nx + Ny – 2 = 10 + 10 – 2). The result of data analysis indicates that  tcounted (2,573) which was higher than ttable (2,153),it means that the hypothesis of the research was accepted. Thus, there was significant score improvement of using talking stick strategy to the tenth grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Kasimbar.

The highest cumulative proportion of HIV / AIDS cases is at the age of 20-29 years (32.5%), 30-39 years (30.7%), 40-49 years (12.9%), 50-59 years (4.7 %), and finally 15-19 years of age (3.2%). This data indicates that adolescents 15-29 years are a vulnerable population and need to be targeted in the HIV AIDS prevention program in Indonesia and provide an illustration that adolescents need correct health information so as not to be infected by HIV. This study aims to improve adolescent knowledge through health education using video media. This research is a quasi-experimental research (quasi-experiment) that is providing health education about HIV / AIDS using video media. The videos used in this study are conventional HIV / AIDS videos and Jambi HIV / AIDS video dialogue. Data analysis uses bivariate analysis of T test for unpaired groups. The results showed that the average knowledge of students about HIV / AIDS after being given health education using Conventional Video media in SMA Negeri 8 Murao Jambi Regency in 2018 was 64.24. While the average knowledge of students about HIV / AIDS after being given health education using the Jambi Language Dialogic Video media in SMA Negeri 8 Muaro Jambi in 2018 was 76.44. There is a significant difference between respondents' knowledge given health education using conventional video media and using the Jambi Language Dialogic video media (p-values 0.00 and α 0.05). This means that the use of the Jambi Language Dialogic Video media is more effective than the Conventional Video media in providing information about HIV / AIDS to students of SMA Negeri 8 Muaro Jambi Regency in 2018.

This study aims to determine the effect of comic media on the scientific literacy skills of students in class IV and to determine the response of students to the use of comic media in classroom learning. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental method. The research design used was the Nonequivalent Groups Pretest-Posttest Design. The research design consisted of two groups (control class and experimental class), each of which was given a pretest and posttest. The population in this study were students at SD Negeri Cilaja and SD Negeri Ligarmanah, while the sample was taken from two groups, namely class IV SD Negeri Cilaja as the experimental group and class IV SD Negeri Ligarmanah as the control class. Data collection was obtained through description questions in the form of pretest and posttest, as well as statements in the form of a Likert scale questionnaire. The data analysis technique used was quantitative data using Minitab 18.0 software for Windows and Microsoft Excel. In the results of this study, there were changes in the pretest and posttest scores of the experimental class that had increased, at the pretest the mean score of students was 27.75, while in the posttest the average score of students was 40.15. Whereas in the control class the average score of the posttest students was only 34.45. This is reinforced by the results of the N-Gain calculation from the experimental class and the control class which show that the average increase in the experimental class and the control class has a different increase. The experimental class who received learning using comic media had an increase of 38.8% with a moderate increase category. Meanwhile, the control class who received regular learning had an increase of 20.6% with a low increase category. The questionnaire data analysis showed that students gave a positive response to science learning using comic media with an average score of 3.80. In the test results of the difference between the two mean posttest data using the Two Sample T 'test, there is a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class with a significant level of <0.05, it can be concluded that there is an effect of comic media on the scientific literacy abilities of class students. Experiments using comic media have a significantly higher increase compared to the control class with ordinary learning.

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine where there is as significant difference achievement between those who are tought using Sikakimi Media and without between those who are tought using Sikakimi Media who are the topic structure material and to determine the effect size of Sikakimi an students achievement. To achievement the aims, a quasy experimental design was conducted to classes from populations which consists of four classes where choosen as samples though ramdom sampling technique. The sample were X IPA 1 class as experimental group and X IPA 3 as control group. Acoording to research design, with classes were given a set of test before and after treatment. To achieve the first aim, data tested using U-Man Whitney test and to achieve the second data tested using glass test. Acoording to U-Man Whitney data analysis, probality velue was 0,001 which meant there was a significant difference in achievement between both classes. Acoording to glasses test, the effect size score was 0,76 which mean Sikakimi had 27,64% in the medium category. Keywords: Media, Sikakimi, Structure Material
