Student worksheet contains various activities that are used to facilitate and practice students' skills in learning activities. This research aims to determine the development of student worksheet based on critical thinking skills that are valid, practical, and effective on the excretory system. This is a research and development of ADDIE model. The validity of student worksheet was measured using a validation sheet. The validity of student worksheet is 78% categorized as valid. Material validity of 82% is categorized as very valid, media validity of 81% is categorized as very valid, and language validity of 71% is categorized as valid. The practicality of the student worksheet was measured using a practitioner validation sheet and student response questionnaires. The practicality of worksheet is 87% categorized as very practical. Based on practitioner validation, the result of worksheet practicality of 89% is categorized as very practical and student response questionnaire of 85% is categorized as very practical. worksheet effectiveness was measured by normalized gain test. The control class N-Gain score of 0.2 is categorized as low and the experimental class N-Gain score of 0.5 is categorized as moderate. This research aims to produce student worksheets scientific based on the demands of the 2013 curriculum to improve the critical thinking skills of elementary school V students on thematic learning worthy of use in the learning process. This type of research is research and development of research and development (R & D) By using Borg and gall procedures which produce a certain product and test the feasibility of the developed product. The subject of this research is a grade V student elementary School. The data collection techniques conducted by researchers is a poll and a test. This research findings in the form of learning media is a scientific-based student worksheet to improve the skills of critical thinking on thematic learning. Based on the validation results of the media expert, the percentage of eligibility gained as much as 94% with the category very worthy. Results obtained from validation by the material members as much as 95% with the category very worthy. The results of the student response poll as much as 97% with the category very worthy. Based on the results of the pretests the average critical thinking skill of 35, in the postest result of an average score of 96.66. While the N-gain score increased critical thinking skills of 0.95 with the category high. Thus, it can be concluded that the students ' critical thinking skills have increased based on five critical thinking skill indicators of 0.95 with the "high" category.

Student's critical thinking has not been maximally train in learning, learning activities are only memorizing demands of passing the assessment. Students are less understand, build, and criticize arguments about a problem, especially in science learning. This is the introduction for the development of teaching materials based on Science, Environment, Technology, and Society (SETS). This study aims to determine how the feasibility of science teaching materials based on SETS in ecosystem materials to improve the critical thinking skills of grade 5 students. This type of research is research and development (Research and Development) with a 4D model. This research was conducted online using Microsoft Teams which was carried out synchronously and asynchronously due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The data collection technique is the expert validation stage, the implementation of learning observation sheets, critical thinking tests (pretest and posttest), and student response questionnaires and then analyzed using quantitative and descriptive techniques. The results show that: (1) teaching materials were in the feasible category with an average of 3.4, (2) practical based on observations of the implementation of learning with an average of 93% and the categories are good, and 95% of the student activity was active, ( 3) effective based on the acquisition of N-gain on the critical thinking test is 0.77 (high category), and the student response questionnaire that is 97% very good category. This teaching material based on SETS is expected to improve students' critical thinking skills, in this study students can be categorized as having high critical thinking skills.

ABSTRAKBerpikir kritis menjadi hal yang diperlukan pada suatu pembelajaran, namun pada keadaan sebenarnya tidak semua sekolah menerapkan kebiasaan berpikir kritis. Seperti pembelajaran daring yang terjadi di masa pandemi Covid 19. Untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa diperlukan adanya pengembangan pada perangkat pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran model PBL berbantuan simulasi PhET pada materi Termodinamika untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan yaitu RPP, LKS, dan Soal dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Penelitian pengembangan yang memakai model ADDIE ini terdiri dari lima tahapan yaitu Analyze, Design, Development, Implement, dan Evaluate. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan perangkat pembelajran model PBL berbantuan simulasi PhET pada materi Termodinamika efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan N-gain score sebesar 55,69% dengan kriteria sedang. Kata kunci: Efektivitas; Perangkat Pembelajaran; Problem Based Learning; PhET; Berpikir Kritis. ABSTRACTCritical thinking is a necessary thing in learning, but in reality not all schools apply the habit of critical thinking. The learning tools developed are lesson plans, worksheets, and questions with critical thinking skills. The development research using the ADDIE model consists of five stages, namely Analyze, Design, Development, Implement, and Evaluate. The results showed that the development of PBL model learning tools assisted by PhET simulation on Thermodynamics material was effective in improving students' critical thinking skills. This study aimed to determine the feasibility of comic media material about human interaction with the environment to improve the critical thinking skills of fifth grade students. This type of research was research and development (Research and Development) with a 4D model. This research was conducted online using Zoom platform, Google forms, and Ms. Teams that was carried out synchronously and asynchronously due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Data were collected through the expert validation stage and observation sheets, student response questionnaires and critical thinking tests (pretest and posttest) for the teacher and student activity. Furthermore, the data were analyzed by quantitative and descriptive techniques. The results showed that: (1) comic media was in the very feasible category with a percentage of 82%, (2) it was practical based on teacher activity observations with a percentage of 94% with very active category, 95% for student activity with very active category and student response questionnaires was 93% with very good category, (3) it was effective based on the result of N-gain on the critical thinking test, which was 0.53 (medium category). Thus, comic media in social studies learning was declared valid, practical and effective in improving students’ critical thinking skills at fifth grade of elementary school.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan karakteristik lembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD) inkuiri terbimbing; (2) mengetahui kriteria kelayakan LKPD inkuiri terbimbing; (3) mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis dengan menggunakan LKPD yang dikembangkan, dan (4) mengetahui hasil belajar peserta didik dengan menggunakan LKPD yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode research and development (R&D). Desain uji coba produk utama menggunakan LKPD inkuiri terbimbing pada kelas VIIA sebagai kelas eksperimen dan LKPD dari pendidik pada kelas VIIB sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi, angket, dan tes tertulis. Hasil penelitian ini berupa LKPD inkuiri terbimbing yang memiliki kategori sangat baik. Hasil pengembangan dan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) karakteristik LKPD berbasis inkuiri terbimbing meliputi tahapan membuat prediksi, melakukan penyelidikan, mengumpulkan data, menginterpretasi data, dan mengembangkan kesimpulan; (2) kriteria kelayakan LKPD inkuiri terbimbing layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPA; (3) terjadi peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik dengan total rerata gain score 0,43; dan (4) terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik dengan total rerata gain score 0,34. Developing  students worksheet on guided inquiry to improve critical thinking skills and learning outcomes of students AbstractThis study aims to: (1) explain the characteristics of student worksheet on guided inquiry; (2) determine the feasibility criteria of student worksheet developed; (3) determine the increase critical thinking skills using a student worksheet developed; and (4) determine learning outcomes of students using the student worksheet developed. This study was research and development (R & D) which adapted the model by Borg & Gall. The design of the main field testing used a student worksheet on guided inquiry in class VIIA as an experimental class and student of class VIIB as the control class. The  data were collected using observation sheets, questionnaires, and written tests. The results of this study is in the form of a student worksheet on guided inquiry whicht has very good category. Results of the development and research show that (1) the characteristics of student worksheet based on the guided inquiry covering the steps to make predictions, conduct experiments, collecting data, interpretation data, and develop conclusions; (2) The feasibility criteria of the student worksheet on guided inquiry deserves used in science teaching; (3) There is an increase in critical thinking skills of students with a total mean gain score of 0.43; and (4) There is an increase in learning outcomes of students with a total mean gain score of 0.34.

In 21st century learning, critical thinking skills are the main choice that must be mastered by students. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of local wisdom-based science teaching materials in improving junior high school students’ critical thinking skills. Most science teachers still apply teacher-centered learning, so students tend to be passive. This type of research is quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest control group design. The study was conducted in the even semester of the 2019/2020 school year. The subjects of the research were grade VII students. Data collection techniques and instruments in the form of tests that include indicators of critical thinking skills. Data analysis used homogeneity test, Kolmogorov Smirnov normality test, independent sample t-test, and n-gain score. The results of the independent sample t-test are sig. (2-tailed) = 0,000<sig. α = 0.05. Students’ critical thinking skills in the experimental class were higher (N-gain score = 39.09%) than in the control class (N-gain score = 12.03%). Based on the study results, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence on the application of local wisdom-based teaching materials in improving the critical thinking skills of middle school students in the moderate category.

The aimed of this research to describe the student learning outcomes and critical thinking skills through guided inquiry model using student worksheet oriented of critical thinking skills. This Research was conducted on two stages, are development of teaching materials using Dick and Carey model, and the implementation stage into the classroom using one group pretest-posttest design with subjects were 30 students on X class of SMAN 1 Pasir Belengkong Kabupaten Paser Kalimantan Timur. The parameter is feasibility of lesson plan, student activity, learning outcomes, critical thinking skills and constraints for teaching and learning activities. Data collecting were using observation method, test, and questionnaire. After the data were analiyzed with this result: The feasibility of lesson plan could be categorized as good, student activity with instrument reliability classified as good, learning outcomes test to know mastery of student learning on Ecosystems with the average score as good and gain score high gain, critical thinking test with the average score as good and gain score high gain. Based on this research, it can be concluded that guided inquiry model using student worksheet of critical thinking skills can improve student learning outcomes and critical thinking skills. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil belajar siswa dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa melalui model inkuiri terbimbing menggunakan LKS berorientasi keterampilan berpikir kritis. Parameter yang diukur meliputi keterlaksanaan RPP, aktivitas siswa, hasil belajar siswa, keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa, respon siswa dan hambatan selama kegiatan belajar. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, tes, dan angket. Selanjutnya data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Keterlaksanaan RPP dengan kategori baik, aktivitas siswa, dengan reliabilitas instrumen berkategori baik, ketuntasan belajar siswa pada materi ekosistem dengan nilai rata-rata baik dan gain score rata-rata  gain tinggi, ketuntasan keterampilan berpikir kritis dengan rata-rata nilai baik dan gain score rata-rata gain tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa model inkuiri terbimbing menggunakan LKS berorientasi keterampilan berpikir kritis dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa.

ABSTRACT[Capacity of student critical thinking through learning base on ecosystem study of water river]. South Bengkulu one of regencies in Bengkulu Province, located west in of the Bukit Barisan Mountains range which has a height of 600-1200 meters above sea level. South Bengkulu has a lot natural wealth that can be utilized as a medium of learning. This research aims to measure the ability of critical thinking and process skill student of class VII MTN 2 south Bengkulu by utilizing environment-based teaching materials. This research uses observation data collection techniques and test (pre test and post test ) Assessment of process skill conducted on two learning activities that is indoor and out door learning activities. The demand of KKNI curriculum in the 21st century is about the equality of learning achievement covering attitudes and values, work ability, scientific mastery, authority and responsibility. For that, PGSD graduates of Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University (UST) Yogyakarta are expected to be able to design the learning activities, which is in line with the development of science, and technology, which is on the same time, are able to bring Indonesian cultural value into it. The graduates’ competence are presented in their abilities to develop elementary school learning activities based on the Science Environment Technology and Society (SETS) and integrate local wisdom into it. The purpose of this research is to describe the skills of critical thinking of PGSD students in developing SETS-based learning integrated with local wisdom and also along with the indicators that appear in each skill aspect. This is a type of quantitative descriptive research with non-test data collection techniques, observation, and documentation. While the main instruments are in the form of Student Worksheet (LKM), the observation sheet towards the indicators of critical thinking skills. Data analysis techniques is done by using descriptive statistics interpretation through several answering criteria: very good, good, fair, poor, and very poor which is then the results are presented in the form of tables. The results showed that the average critical thinking ability of PGSD UST students was 69.24% with can be categorized in good criteria. Indicator of every critical thinking skills aspect has appeared, even though some targets of achievements have not been optimally gained yet.

This study aims to analyze the improvement of students’ critical thinking skills in the features of focus, supporting reasons, reasoning, organization, conventions and integration through the implementation of argument mapping-based guided inquiry learning models. Type of this research is classroom action research, a systematic inquiry with the goal of informing practice in particular situation which adopted Kemmis and McTaggart’s models which follows the cycle of planning, action, observation and reflection. It was conducted in class XI-Avenzoar of SMA Unggulan CT Foundation Deli Serdang in the academic year 2019/2020. The sampling technique was done by total sampling consisting of 24 students with a composition of 6 boys and 18 girls. The instrument used the essay tests adapted from Finken based on Illinois Critical Thinking Essay Test and argument mapping based on van Gelder on the concept of human excretory system. The data collection methods were included the interview, observation and documentation. The whole data was employed by descriptive analysis developed by Miles and Huberman which includes three concurrent activities, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the features of focus and reasoning from critical thinking skills tests in Cycle I obtained the highest score of all, while the features of supporting reasons and conventions obtained the lowest score and showed no improvement at all. Meanwhile in Cycle II, the features of focus and reasoning increased significantly and obtained the highest score as well. However, the feature of supporting reasons increased simultaneously but conventions still remained. It definitely showed that there was a significant improvement between groups in Cycle I (65.42) and Cycle II (80.21) from the average score of students’ critical thinking skills through their argument mapping grading. The aspects of argument mapping, such as claims, reasons, objections, rebuttals and debates improved well between these cycles. It was strongly suggested that argument mapping could enhance students’ critical thinking skills in Biology. From the results and discussion, it could be concluded that the implementation of the argument mapping-based guided inquiry learning models on the concept of human excretory system had a very positive and significant improvement on students’ critical thinking skills. The students’ critical thinking skills were in the high category.
