The technique of supernatant removal in urine sediment examination using the Shih-Yung method can be done by aspirating and decanting. The aspirated technique is the recommended technique. The Central Laboratory Installation of Dr. M. Djamil Hospital, Padang used decanted supernatant removal technique. The variety of preanalytical procedures affect the results of urine sediment examination. This study aimed to analyze the agreement of erythrocyte, leukocyte, and non-hyaline cast sediment examination results using the Shih-Yung method in aspirated and decanted supernatant removal technique. This study was an analytical observational study with a cross-sectional design of 37 urine specimens that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria at the Central Laboratory Installation of Dr. M. Djamil Hospital, Padang from July to September 2020. Examination of erythrocyte, leukocyte, and non-hyaline cast sediment using Shih-Yung method with aspirated and decanted supernatant removal technique. Numeric data were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U test and Cohen's Kappa test for the degree of agreement, p-value < 0.05 was considered significant. The agreement test results for erythrocyte, leukocyte, and non-hyaline cast sediment in aspirated and decanted supernatant removal technique were (Kappa=0.88, p < 0.05), (Kappa=0.83, p < 0.05), and (Kappa=0.86, p < 0.05), respectively. The degree of agreement test results for erythrocyte, leukocyte, and non-hyaline cast sediment using the Shih-Yung method in aspirated and decanted supernatant removal technique were almost perfect and statistically significant. The technique for supernatant removal in urine sediment examination using the Shih-Yung method can be done by decanting.

The results of observations at RSUD H. Andi Sultan Daeng Radja carried out observations on all types of wounds that entered the emergency room with each wound characteristic observed, namely the location of the wound, the shape of the wound, the size of the wound, the depth of the wound, and the wound edge. Research Objectives To determine the relationship between wound characteristics and infection incidence in RSUD H. Andi Sulthan Daeng Radja, Bulukumba Regency. The research design is quantitative research. This study used a cross-sectional design. The sample size is 14 people. Results Based on the Fisher exact test, the value of p = 0.005 (<α = 0.05) was obtained, which means that there is a significant relationship between the location of the wound and the incidence of infection. Kolmogorov Smirnov test results obtained p-value = 0.016 (<α = 0.05), which means that there is a significant relationship between the shape of the wound and the incidence of infection. Kolmogorov Smirnov test results obtained p-value = 0.010 (<α = 0.05), which means that there is a significant relationship between wound size and the incidence of infection. Kolmogorov Smirnov test results obtained p-value = 0.002 (<α = 0.05), which means that there is a significant relationship between wound depth and the incidence of infection. The Kolmogorov Smirnov test results obtained p-value = 0.267 (> α = 0.05), which means that there is no significant relationship between the wound edges and the incidence of infection. Conclusion and suggestion that there is a significant relationship between the location, shape, size, and depth of the wound and the incidence of infection. It is hoped that there will be further research with a larger number of samples with in-depth studies.

Objective: To evaluate hypoechoic lesion in transrectal ultrasonography of prostate (TRUS-P) predictive value on prostate cancer based on PSA Interval and Gleason Group. Material & Methods: An observational analytic study with a cross-sectional design take place from January 2015 to December 2018 analyzing patients who had undergone TRUS-P Biopsy at Hasan Sadikin Hospital. Patients are divided into several subgroups according to different PSA levels. A p-value < 0.05 was considered statistically significant. PPV, NPV, and Youden’s index were all indexes reflecting the performance of a diagnostic test. Results: There were 35 cases (49.3%) with a visible hypoechoic lesion in TRUS and 36 cases (41.7%) without a visible hypoechoic lesion. In our study, 23.9% of the patients with hypoechoic lesions were diagnosed with prostate cancer on TRUSP-Biopsy. The results of the analysis with Youden’s index show that PSA at intervals of 10-20 is the best predictor of diagnostic values. Then we analyzed the overall detection rate based on PSA interval. Patients with PSA > 20 ng/ml, hypoechoic lesions were significantly associated with Gleason Group. Conclusion: We concluded in our study that the hypoechoic lesion in transurethral ultrasonography of prostate could improve the predictive efficacy for diagnosing prostate cancer.
