In the context of a very turbulent environment where various challenges are more and more present, companies often apply different strategies in order to harmonize their business with new and often unfavorable conditions. One of the possible strategies of companies is the downsizing strategy. Downsizing, as an organizational strategy, usually involves a reorganization that can be implemented in different ways, but in which the resulting outcome often causes a reduced number of employees. Research around the world has highlighted the various effects of this strategy on the performance of organizations. On the one hand, cost are reduced as it strives to increase profitability and productivity. On the other hand, various problems often arise in the form of attitudes and behavior of employees, reflected in the changed quality of service that is provided, employee satisfaction, their loyalty and willingness to leave the company. The aim of this paper is to explore the relation between the application of different approaches to the downsizing strategy in organizations and the perceived service quality. The survey was carried out on a sample of 160 companies in Serbia, based on the data collected during the Cranet project, from 2015 to 2016. The methodology used during the research included research of the available literature and results of previous studies, as well as the application of statistical techniques for data analysis, factor analysis, Spearman’s correlation and hierarchical linear regression. The results of the research indicate that there is a negative link between the observed variables, that is, the implementation of the downsizing in certain forms is associated with a lower level of the perceived quality of service.

Dhyana Pura University (Undhira) is one of the higher education institutions that utilize the advancement of information technology to achieve optimal results. The observation shows that bandwidth utilization is not well managed. On this basis, this study aims to analyze Quality of Service (QoS) with parameters throughput, delay, packet loss, jitter and bandwidth by Class Based Queuing (CBQ) methods as a queue method that regulates usage network bandwidth allocated to each user. This study also measured the level of employee satisfaction using the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) method. The results of this study indicate that the CBQ method is a method of bandwidth management in reducing bandwidth in crisis clients, so as to increase employee satisfaction in using internet services in the process of service for students.

AbstractAlready successfully used products or designs, past projects or our own experiences can be the basis for the development of new products. As reference products or existing knowledge, it is reused in the development process and across generations of products. Since further, products are developed in cooperation, the development of new product generations is characterized by knowledge-intensive processes in which information and knowledge are exchanged between different kinds of knowledge carriers. The particular knowledge transfer here describes the identification of knowledge, its transmission from the knowledge carrier to the knowledge receiver, and its application by the knowledge receiver, which includes embodied knowledge of physical products. Initial empirical findings of the quantitative effects regarding the speed of knowledge transfers already have been examined. However, the factors influencing the quality of knowledge transfer to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of knowledge transfer in product development have not yet been examined empirically. Therefore, this paper prepares an experimental setting for the empirical investigation of the quality of knowledge transfers.

Purpose of the research. Human capital in the modern world is the primary factor in ensuring the progressive development of society. The most important component of human capital is the component of health, which affects the quality of labor resources and labor productivity in the region. The purpose of this research is to study the development trends of the health component of human capital, using the example of the socio-economic system of one of the regions of the Russian Federation – the Udmurt Republic, to study the structure and dynamics of the specified object of research.Materials and methods. Statistical methods and techniques for studying the development of regional socio-economic processes as an information-supported element in making managerial decisions in strategic planning were used instrumental in this research. The information resource is based on official statistical data of institutions and departments of the Russian Federation and the data from periodicals, as well as using expert assessments in their information and analytical materials. The research base is the socio-economic processes of the last two decades in the Udmurt Republic. A numerical analysis of the structure and dynamics of the state of health of the population is carried out on the example of the Udmurt Republic, using primary modern data reflected in the system of state statistical accounting for the period 2000-2018.Results. Calculations have shown that the quality of the health component of human capital in the Udmurt Republic has been declining in recent decades. The share of healthy people in the region in the working age group of the population 15-72 years old decreased from 59.8% in 2000 to 42.1% in 2018. At the same time, the proportion of people with chronic diseases increased: 33.2% in 2000 and 48.5% in 2018. In general, the share of people with disabilities in the total population of the age group 15-72 years old increased from 7.0% to 9.4%. The general level of health of the population is declining at an average annual rate of 0.4 percentage points. This situation is due to both the aging factor of the population and the general trend of deteriorating health of the population in middle ages.Conclusion. The revealed and analyzed trends in the work of the structure and dynamics of the human capital health component of the population in socio-economic system indicate a decrease in the rate of positive influence of human capital on economic dynamics and the labor market. The analysis showed the emergence of the need to create additional conditions to reduce the level of general morbidity and disability. The results obtained indicate the need to increase the volume of funding for the health care system in order to expand the scale of involvement of the population in a healthy lifestyle, develop a preventive health care system, improve the availability and quality of medical care.

The magic town of Todos Santos is a strategic site for local development and is dependent on the tourist economy driven by national and foreign visitors. Restaurants in Todos Santos obtain raw materials locally to provide quality products for different food specialties. The quality of service (SQ) and customer satisfaction (CS) are two constructs that when evaluated are critical for any market. In this study, the perception and relationship between SQ and SC in the different restaurant specialties is evaluated, contrasting the perception between national and foreign tourists segments. Using 162 surveys, the constructs were evaluated using five dimensions: installations, accessibility, human capital, atmosphere, and food, where hypothetically food and human capital should be the main determinant. The results suggest that SQ and CS are perceived similarly between both segments, except in the Italian specialty in all its dimensions, and partially in Japanese. The food dimension was the highest value on average however, it was not significantly different from the rest of the dimensions. The SQ had a moderate positive impact on CS given the perception of diners by segment based on correlation analysis, the causal effect of which must be determined with detail.
