In contemporary information society, finding, evaluating and using information is a key survival skill. Conventional and new media such as libraries, archives, mass media and the Internet serve an important function in society as the sources of information. This chapter will focus on findings from research that was carried out in Egypt, India, Finland, Argentina and Kenya. Based on empirical research, it gives an overview of how young people today use a variety of sources for information seeking and describes the implications of these findings for media literacy programs. The chapter specifically explores young people’s use of new digital and conventional media for information seeking and disseminating. Media diaries were collected from 175 children in Argentina, 100 in Egypt, 160 in India and 144 in Finland by the project researchers. With the help of the Nokia Research Centre we also managed to obtain 48 completed diaries from Kenya. All diaries were collected in the first half of 2010. Some light will also be shed on efforts led by international organizations, especially UNESCO, to foster teacher training in media and information literacy and create worldwide awareness of this competence.

The aim of the article is to describe the impact and significance of not only self-education of teachers, but also continuous training on teacher’s comprehensive development in the entire digital space (including multimedia) which he deals with not only in his professional work. Participation in continuous training in the era of infor-mation society is the only way to successfully adapt man to the changes resulting from the progress of civilization. The wealth of organizational forms of teacher education makes education a good accessible to all, regardless of age, level of education or material status. Adults strive to improve their skills and knowledge. Motivation is one of the most important factors determining the effectiveness of adult learning. It should be remembered that the teach-er's role is crucial in the process of teaching and up bringing children and youth. The profession of a teacher is characterized above all by the fact that his area of activity is contact with people, especially children and youth, and the primary purpose of his actions is to educate. Working as a teacher sets requirements, which are not lim-ited only to the transfer of knowledge. These tasks are also the transfer of experiences, stimulation to being crea-tive, active and motivated, which contributes to the shaping of the value system of a young person. Implementation of these tasks may result with the teacher's feeling overloaded with work. It is important whether the beliefs about the teaching profession are reasonable and the skills are adapted to the position. The profession of teacher and educator is combined with the fulfilment of a social role, which includes, among other things: contact with another person, emotional involvement, and possession of appropriate competences, continuous improvement, functioning in difficult situations, strong social exposure and effective working under the stress. We must remember that not all teachers are equally susceptible to stress and not everyone is equally affected by its effects, so the degree of risk of burnout syndrome differs between individual teachers.

The article proposes a systematization of the main media effects cultivated in the modern neo-information society, draws conclusions about their relationship and interdependence. Information overload, which produces information noise, becomes the cause of media effects. All sources of information noise are currently predominantly embedded in the field of the Internet, which, on the one hand, determines information liberalism, and on the other hand, as a result of the provision of illusory freedom, the overall effect of media manipulation increases. In turn, information noises give rise to such a process as information anomie. Pseudo-news precedents, differentiated into fake and post-truth, based on the motives of media controllers, are considered as manifestations of information noise. Media fraud is a radical form of post-truthization of the information agenda. The classical media effects are the spiral of silence, moral panics, information fatigue, narcotic dysfunction and compassion fatigue, which must be considered from an interdisciplinary perspective – both in the context of social sciences and natural sciences (in particular, medicine), since the influence of media on society and inspired media effects become more and more systemic, targeted, spreading to all spheres of social everyday life, unrecognized by consumers, as a result of which they often turn out to be beyond regulation and control.

The purpose of writing this article is to determine the involvement and activeness of Christian Religious Education Teachers at Public Middle Schools in Kupang City in the ministry of clerical affairs as presbyters and as categorical servants, especially in the category of children and adolescents or what is often called Sunday school. The method used in this study is a qualitative method by interviewing 41 Christian Religious Education Teachers spread across 12 State Public Middle Schools in the city of Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara. From the results of the study, it was found that although this Christian Religious Education teacher had a correct understanding of the background of his attendance at school, namely Christian Religious Education teachers were church servants sent to serve congregations in schools, but most Christian Religious Education teachers did not have a relationship with the church. or not yet involved in the church ministry where he is a member, either as a presbyter or as a minister of children and youth (Sunday school). This conclusion was stated based on the informant's admission during the interview that 1) They did not have free time to be involved in church services, 2) Church services had many people taking care of it so they did not need to be involved, 3) Christian religious education teachers were paid by the state, not church so that they focus more on taking care of teaching in schools than in church.
