PENINGKATAN MOTIVASI IBU RUMAH TANGGA UNTUK MEMANFAATKAN TANAMAN OBAT KELUARGA (TOGA)

The tendency of society to return to nature have increased interest in herbal remedies. This conditionprovides business opportunities for variety of medicinal plants including the cultivation of family medicinalplants (TOGA). The purpose of this community service activity was to increase people's motivation toexploit the business opportunity of herbal plants collectively. The program was conducted in three steps: (1)approaching the problems faced by mothers in managing medicinal plants through interviews withcommunity leaders; (2) conducting training on the utilization of variety of crops into simple remedies and (3)evaluation of the training outcomes and motivation of training participants to develop the cultivation andprocessing of medicinal plants. The results showed that participants were motivated to develop medicinalplant business. Tips shared on how to manage medicinal plant gardens in groups were helpful to reduceindividual workload. In general, the implementation of training activities on the utilization of FamilyMedicinal Plants (TOGA) was quite successful. This can be seen from the participants’ request that thisactivity can continue to support them. Cultivation of medicinal plants is suitable as an alternative forhousewife empowerment because it can be done without leaving the important role as a mother.

ABSTRACT The Ngampon people in Mojosongo Village, Jebres, Surakarta City face diverse livelihood problems, most of which are factory workers with low income levels and the role of mothers as housewives. Therefore, it is necessary to have training activities to make agar agar fruit products as an alternative home-based home industry to increase family income. This community service activity was designed by conducting training on making fruit jelly candy products. The target of the above activities is that the community will get additional skills in making agar-agar candy fruit that can be done easily and small capital so that it can be an alternative family home industry. Posyandu is the center of community activities in the effort to provide health services and family planning. These trained Posyandu cadres are not only seen from the way they handle maternal and child health but also have to be supported by their ability to use computers in administrative management and data processing. The method used in this community service activity is a combination of tutorials, practice, and discussion or question and answer, as well as evaluation to determine the level of absorption of the training material. The office application materials provided are Microsoft word, Microsoft excel, and Microsoft powerpoint. Office application program training activities for cadres of Posyandu Anyelir 8 Block 8 Perumnas Antang were carried out well and improved the skills of Posyandu Anyelir 8 Block 8 Perumnas cadres in the use of information technology.

This community service activity is continuously carried out to develop the creativity of mothers in producing innovative and attractive products. This activity involves training and assistance in preparing financial and marketing reports. This activity was carried out in collaboration with the Sukolilo District and STIESIA Surabaya. MSMEs in Sukolilo District experienced several obstacles related to preparing financial reports, marketing that utilized social media, and other technical obstacles. After this mentoring activity, MSME managers gained several benefits, including having started compiling financial reports. Marketing training activities are carried out using Instagram social media as a means of producing products. In this activity, assistance was carried out to create an Instagram account, taking photos of products to be uploaded on Instagram, assisting in uploading product photos on Instagram accompanied by product descriptions so that they could attract consumers. This activity is carried out to improve the business carried out from the management aspect. The target to be achieved is that MSME players have financial reports that can be used to submit funds or capital to banks for business development, expand marketing networks, and increase sales.

Ilomata Village is one of the villages in Gorontalo District which has the potential of banana farming commodities, but it has not been utilized optimally. The aim of this community service activity are empowering the Ilomata Village PKK group through training activities for making various flavors of banana chips, simple bookkeeping training and product marketing training. The method applied is training and mentoring, whose activities include 1) Training in making various flavored banana chips; 2) Simple bookkeeping training; 3) Product marketing training; and 4) Mentoring in determining the name of the product, making packaging labels, and handling PIRT distribution permit. The results of the activity showed that the PKK group members understood and had skills in making banana chips with various flavors, doing simple bookkeeping and marketing the product. The availability of a banana chip product named banana chips I-Bas (Ilomata-Banana chips) with No. distribution license for PIRT 214750201001324 and has been marketed both offline and online. Thus, the empowerment of the PKK groups through banana chips entrepreneurship can increase the utilization of the potential of the banana commodity in line with the increased understanding and skill of PKK group members in making and marketing various flavored banana chips products.

Abstract The purpose of this Community Service activity is to provide physical condition training to novice athletes, training programs for physical trainers at Padepokan Judo Ksatria Bhayangkara (PJKB). This training needs to be done because the training process is still minimal. Trainers have the obligation to provide training and make athletes excel, but there are still limitations in doing so. Training for novice athletes is still very much needed because of the lack of planning and maturity in carrying out training activities both in terms of training material and from the intensity given. Higher education as an institution that produces trainers and educators, as well as an organization that organizes community service activities, has a moral obligation to carry out coaching and training. For this reason, community service programs providing athlete training are the way to be taken to overcome this problem. Activities include physical condition training. The material discussed is the judo training program. The training is planned to be held on October to December 2020. Keywords: Judo, Physical Condition, Training Abstrak Tujuan kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini adalah memberikan pelatihan kondisi fisik kepada para atlet pemula, program latihan kepada para pelatih fisik di Padepokan Judo Ksatria Bhayangkara (PJKB). Pelatihan ini perlu dilakukan karena adanya proses latihan yang masih minim. Pelatih memiliki kewajiban untuk memberikan latihan dan menjadikan atlit berprestasi, namun masih ada keterbatasan dalam melaksanakannya. Pelatihan bagi atlet pemula masih sangat diperlukan karena kurangnya perencanaan dan kematangan dalam melakukan kegiatan latihan baik dari segi materi latihan maupun dari intensitas yang diberikan. Perguruan Tinggi sebagai lembaga penghasil pelatih maupun pendidik, sekaligus lembaga yang secara terorganisisir melaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat memiliki kewajiban moril untuk melakukan pembinaan dan pelatihan. Untuk itu program pengabdian kepada masyarakat menghadirkan untuk memberikan pelatihan atlet adalah cara yang ditempuh untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. Kegiatan meliputi pelatihan kondisi fisik. Nowadays, solid and transparent soap is often used as a display of wedding souvenirs, air freshener, and handicrafts. With the presence of a solid and transparent soap in very unique display and interesting this can make the soap is sold at a relatively more expensive price in the market. Regarding with the development of solid soap products that can produce several good benefits, this activity needs to be trained, developed and empowered to the parties who have the potential to produce these products. One of the parties that has the potential to be trained is the housewives in the PKK group (Family Welfare Empowerment) at Rawamangun, East Jakarta. This community service activity is done by using lecture and simulation/demonstration method through innovative product development of souvenir soap by using palm cooking oil. The results of the training show the enthusiasm and willingness of the participants to be able to perform individually in the manufacture of solid soap souvenir products and they can produce in large quantities. With this training, the housewives can practice themselves at home and be motivated to open business opportunities through these product so it can be feasible for sale in the market

The website can be a center of information and communication for them. It is accelerating the flow of information and communication on oil palm growers. The purpose of this service activity is to create an android-based KUD website which contains information about cooperatives and information about oil palm plantations. Community service activities are carried out in Bukit Lingkar Village, one of potential villages in oil palm. In this village, an oil palm village cooperative with the name KUD Milik Bersama has also been established which is a partner in this activity. Activities are integrated with the Student project. Implementation of training activities is socialization and discussion activities. then practice making websites, assistance and coaching. The technical implementation of the activity is a combination of offline and online meetings. It is because Covid 19 pandemic. The implementers in the field are students. The results of this activity include the formation of a cooperative website with the name http: //www.koperasi kudmilikbersama.com, increasing farmers' knowledge and skills regarding media use, including a website with information related to oil palm farming. The establishment of a website manager, which is equipped with a website module.

This community service activity was held in SMA Hang Tuah 3 Mataram, NTB Province. This school is located approximately 6 km from the location of the team. Located in the center of Mataram city. The purpose of this activity is to make the teachers in SMA Hang Tuah 3 Mataram know the ways of writing and the forms of a paper and ultimately be able to automatically express their ideas, ideas and experiences during the teaching and learning process into a scientific writing eligible to be published in an ISSN journal. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengalaman pribadi bagi santri, ustadz dan ustadzah Pondok Pesantren Aliyah Nurul Islam Sekarbela dalam menerapkan pola hidup sehat dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Adapun tahap-tahap pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini meliputi tahap pendahuluan berupa kegiatan pembukaan dan tahapan inti berupa pemberian materi tentang tananam-tanaman herbal dan pola hidup sehat, dan pembuatan minuman sehat. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 45 santri. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa santri sangat aktif dalam diskusi selama penyampaian materi, dan antusiasn dalam pembuatan minuman dan penanaman tanaman obat. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan yang dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan santri akan pola hidup sehat dan tanaman obat kesehatan keluarga yang dapat berperan sebagai imunomodulator dalam upaya meningkatkan system imunitas ditemukan meningkat.Independent Health Empowerment of Santri through Toga Cultivation Technology Based on Increasing Immunity at the Aliyah Nurul Islam Islamic Boarding School SekarbelaAbstractThis service activity aims to provide personal experiences for santri, ustadz and ustadzah of the Aliyah Nurul Islam Sekarbela Islamic Boarding School in implementing a healthy lifestyle in everyday life. The stages of the implementation of this service activity include the preliminary stage in the form of opening activities and the core stage in the form of providing material on herbal plants and healthy lifestyles, and making healthy drinks. This activity was attended by 45 students. The results of the activity showed that the students were very active in discussions during the delivery of the material, and were enthusiastic in making drinks and planting medicinal plants. Based on the results of the activities carried out, it can be concluded that the knowledge of students about healthy lifestyles and family health medicinal plants that can act as immunomodulators in an effort to increase the immune system was found to be increasing.

Background: Indigenous knowledge is progressively fading out because of a lack of proper record-keeping, as the knowledge is transmitted verbally. There is, therefore, a dire need for preserving this valuable knowledge by ensuring proper documentation and sharing of traditional knowledge.Aim: This research study sought to explore the indigenous knowledge used by herbal medicine practitioners for treating various human ailments in Jos Metropolis of Plateau State, Nigeria.Setting: The study was conducted using a structured questionnaire administered to 100 registered traditional healers in Jos North LGA of Plateau State.Methods: Selected medicinal plants were collected, pressed and transported to the Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria (FRIN), Ibadan for identification, authentication and deposition of voucher specimens for voucher number at FRIN herbarium, Ibadan. Descriptive statistics were used to analyse the ethnomedicinal data.Results: Thirty-nine plant species, distributed in 33 families and 39 genera, were cited by the respondents. The Fabaceae was the most represented family, followed by the Euphorbiaceae and Myrtaceae. Leaves were the most used plant part (29%), whilstthe most cited plant habit forms include trees (48%) and herbs (31%). The herbal remedies were mostly administered orally (53%) and topically (26%), whilst the most common method of preparation was decoction (42%). The highest consensus factor (1.00) was detected for chickenpox or measles or leprosy, haemorrhoids and sickle cell ailments.Conclusion: There is an existence of a wide gap in traditional healing knowledge between the elderly and the younger generations in the study area. The high fidelity level observed in this study implied a general acceptance and preferred usage of such herbal plants for the treatment of particular ailments.
