Striving to completely explain the concept of entrepreneurship we have to look into the workof three fields of science: economics, sociology and psychology. Among the skills and qualitiesnecessary for an entrepreneur they name the following: readiness and ability to make decisions,creative approach to problem solving, courage, creativity, resourcefulness, persistence and wil-lingness to work. Therefore the teachers of entrepreneurship have to pass on to their studentsspecific knowledge and skills useful for their participation in social and economic life, as wellas encourage certain qualities and attitudes concerned with taking advantage of opportunitiesand openness to novelty under all circumstances, not necessarily as an entrepreneur. Choosingthe teaching methods, it is worth to get to know the opinions and expectations of your studentsconcerning the skills they consider important and necessary on the Polish job market. I havebeen looking into this issue with final year students for several years. It turns out that the pre-ferences of young people who are getting ready to enter the job market are changing and te-achers should react to this fact. One of the latest tendencies is to put more emphasis on gettingskills and later knowledge. Furthermore, students realize that even when they possess knowledge,they should also have the ability to make use of it.

One of the most important task of contemporary school, in addition to education, knowledge transfer and skills development, is to prepare young people to participate in economic life and particularly to enter the job market. Their success depends on a number of factors like the level and type of education, their entrepreneurial attitude, but above all on their knowledge and understanding of the market requirements. And it is the main task of the school entrepreneurship. In this article the author confronts expectations, plans and beliefs of young people (students from four secondary schools in Cracow) against their future employment in the real job market situation depicted in a report of Central Statistical Office in Poland: "Entry of young people into the job market in Poland in 2009". The conducted survey research shows several features such as: high expectations of young people towards their future work, varied and not always accurate plans for a job search, a large diversity in their initial work experience, problems with identifying their career plans and making the correct choice of further education and finally a low inclination to start their own business. Opinions of students about their own entrepreneurial attitude, usefulness of school subjects in their adult lives, and an indication of the key economic issues that, according to them, should be taught at school also supplement the studies. The results obtained by the author, showing the attitude and awareness of young people about their future career start, are the basis for discussion on further improving the process of entrepreneurship education in schools.

Nowadays, when schools are closing and teachers are made redundant, a question arises whether the current educational system and the teaching methods or the knowledge and skills which people leave school with are adequate. Now, as never before, students and em-ployers realize how important practical skills are in the labor market. Where are schools and universities in meeting this need? Do schools answer the natural needs people have for self--development? Does the educational system stimulate development of individuals interests? Unfortunately, I think the answer to a lot of these questions would be negative. Yet, if so, it is time we fi nd a way to offer something more, not only to young people, but also to adults who want to explore the area of their interests by taking the trouble to obtain further degrees. One of the solutions to the urgent needs for the educational system is a pragmatic approach towards learning and teaching.

The author considers the questions relating to the formation of lawyers’ professional traits from the point of view of the significance which human capital and investment in this capital hold in contemporary times. It follows from the analyses, which were carried out, that the dire need for taking up actions with the aim to shape lawyers appears one of the most vital tasks. This requires taking into account visible trends in the changing job market. Another aspect results from the need for multilevel qualifications and conditions behind lawyers’ actions and their decisions. Thus, colleges of higher education which educate prospective lawyers, as well as lawyers’ corporations, are confronted by challenges of forming, in young people, features that are indispensable for them to be valuable lawyers and not only executors of simple activities. The author points to the fact that lawyers need shaping because, among others, during their whole social lives and realization of professional tasks their personality traits and potential related to communication will constantly manifest through accepting and following or rejecting and opposing values, principles, reflexions, empathy, sensitivity, the farthest-fetched imagination, objectivism, cooperation, dialogue, distancing themselves from political disputes, etc. Students of the art of law should be characterized by a changed mentality, new vision of law – service to man, and realization of standards of law, as well as perception of the importance of knowledge, skills, attitudes and competences.

A sociological analysis of the factors of integration of young generations into active economic life is based on a study of the values of young people in relation to employment and professional growth. The information society has two key parameters that influence the construction of the trajectory of educational, professional, labor or entrepreneurial activity — the significant role of knowledge in creating value and the digital space as a source of information and the place for individuals to fulfill themselves in society and the social and professional community. A theoretical analysis of labor socialization allows researchers to move on to the results of empirical studies carried out with the participation of authors in 2017 and 2019-2020. The data obtained are evaluative in nature and allow authors to draw conclusions about the influence of the media space on young people entering working age taking decisions on choosing a profession and a form of economic activity, planning employment and career growth.

The options for conventional graduate careers have become more limited in the last 20 years. This has stimulated an increase in university programmes and modules designed to encourage students to start their own businesses. The recent global Covid-19 pandemic is likely to make the job market even more difficult for those graduating from universities in the next few years. A career as an entrepreneur is a realistic alternative to employment in the ‘gig’ economy for many young graduates. University-based incubators can provide a sheltered learning environment for those wishing to develop business ideas without incurring a large financial burden. In this paper, the authors draw on a range of literature (business incubation, entrepreneurial learning, human capital and communities of practice) to develop a model of a university-based incubator that will support young people in their transition to becoming real entrepreneurs.

The article discusses the problem of assessing interdisciplinary knowledge and skills of students, provides a comparative analysis of methods and forms of their assessment. The authors note the relevance of the problem in connection with the updating of the content and teaching methods based on a synergetic approach, the need for adequate comprehensive monitoring of interdisciplinary knowledge, taking into account their multidimensional nature. The article analyzes the methods and criteria for assessing knowledge, provides an overview of traditional and innovative forms of assessing knowledge.

Mastering the Job Market: Career Issues for Master’s Level Industrial-Organizational Psychologists is the definitive source for practical advice and data-based recommendations addressing key issues leading to successful careers as industrial-organizational (I-O) master’s practitioners. Both the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and the American Psychological Association have reported a bright outlook for I-O master’s graduates. The increased interest in and growth of I-O master’s programs and graduates are attributed to higher visibility in the workplace, readily obtained jobs, interesting work, and great pay. A large nationwide survey of I-O master’s practitioners and their employers lays the foundation for the data-based recommendations throughout the book. Authors from top-ranked I-O master’s programs address topics such as the job search, applying for jobs, on-boarding, organizational roles, salaries, career transitions, and maintaining professionalism throughout one’s career. Critical insights into the nuts and bolts of conducting a job search and other specific strategies are provided to enable job seekers to land one or multiple job offers within six months of graduation. Competencies identified as essential for success as an I-O practitioner include core I-O knowledge and skills, as well as enabling competencies such as oral communication, business acumen, consulting skills, project management, ethics, and technical writing.  Balanced gender representation allows stereotype threat effect to be avoided so it is important in any type of educational materials, but it is even more so in national assessments as in some cases their outcome determines opportunities for young people. This study is centered on gender representation in the country-wide [Lithuanian] assessments of students' mathematical knowledge and skills, particularly, on the national assessments and exams level. The research data was analyzed using the authors' evaluation matrix. There were seven categories of topics found in contextual problems: free time and socialization, housework, movement, sagacity, shopping, skillfulness and sports. Study shows that some types of assessments represent genders in a more balanced way than others. When compared to other educational or entertainment sources of written information, national assessments of mathematical achievements seems to represent gender in a more balanced way.

The article considers the process of adaptation of young people in the labour market. It has been determined that the main adaptation barriers for young people in the modern Ukrainian labour market are: low competitiveness; lack of the majority of young people with the necessary knowledge and skills for self-determination in the labour market, career development, negotiating with employers on employment issues; inconsistency of the professional qualification structure of youth with the needs of the economy and the available vacancies; lack of a mechanism to ensure the relationship between the labour market and the market of educational services; backwardness of personnel policy of most organizations, focused mainly on achieving current results, rather than on long-term development. It is analyzed that the successful adaptation ends, as a rule, with stable employment, adoption of laws of the labour market functioning. Violations of young people's adaptation in the labour market can have serious consequences, the main of which are chronic unemployment of large groups of young people, negative impact on socio-psychological development of young people, frustration at work as a means of personal self-realization.

The development of the character education still becomes the controversy among the educators, either from the theoretical or philosophical points of view. Actually, the core of the character education is not only viewed from philosophical difference, pedagogical ideology, or politics, but focused on the child development. Curriculum 2013 seeks to provide a problem-solving on the cultural matters and the national characters by integrating the characters / values /attitudes into the lessons, self-development, and the culture of the school. It is expected that a new generation of nation is developed in attitudes, knowledge, and skills. It has been clear that teachers thought, beliefs, and choices will influence their teaching practice. Therefore, it is necessary to build the views, beliefs, and positive selection within the teachers mind for the successful implementation of Curriculum 2013.   Perkembangan pendidikan karakter sampai sejauh ini masih penuh dengan kontroversi yang terutama berakar dalam berbagai perbedaan teoretis dan filosofis, meski sebenarnya inti dari pendidikan karakter tidak pada perbedaan filosofis, ideologi pedagogis, politik, dan sebagainya, melainkan tentang perkembangan anak. Kurikulum 2013 berupaya memberikan pemecahan persoalan budaya dan karakter bangsa dengan cara mengintegrasikan karakter/nilai/sikap ke dalam mata pelajaran, pengembangan diri, dan budaya sekolah, dengan harapan terbentuknya generasi baru bangsa yang utuh dalam sikap, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan. Dengan menyadari bahwa pandangan, keyakinan, dan pilihan para guru akan berpengaruh pada praktek pembelajaran, maka perlu dibangun pandangan, keyakinan, dan pilihan yang positif dalam diri para guru demi keberhasilan implementasi Kurikulum 2013.
