With reference to educational documents and articles of scholars and teachers-practitioners, this arti-cle analyzes the tendencies and problems of the alternation of the assessment of pupils’ achievements and progress in primary school in the plane of education reform; the aim is also to reveal the input of Lithuanian scholars and teachers-practitioners on purpose of creating a new system of assessment. The analysis of the stages of education reform demonstrated that all stages emphasize the necessity to democratize pupils’ as-sessment system with a gradual transition towards idiographic assessment and a refusal to assess primary school children with marks. In response to the requirements of the education reform, in 1998–2004 the scholars gave most attention to a theoretical grounding of the assessment of pupils’ progress. In the third stage of Lithuanian education reform (2003–2008) methodical articles prevail which offer various versions of assessment, achievement books, whereas the attention of the scholars towards the system of assessment is decreasing. With reference to this, we make an assumption that the removal of scholars in the third stage of the reform was the main reason for teachers and students to be unsatisfied with the modern system of as-sessment. Key words: primary education, pupils’ learning achievements, progress, assessment, alternation of the as-sessment.

Our school faced a particular problem. As in many other schools, teachers and students are increasingly mobile savvy and internet connected while at school. This affects how teaching is done and how libraries are used. In response proposed to bring the Library to the classrooms. We would move the existing library, from its own building, to share the center of the action, into learning spaces once occupied only by classrooms. While the digital integration had already begun, the physical integration would serve both the traditional and new ways in which libraries can be used. We propose that both library and classroom practices will be “flipped” so that putting ideas and information into action and thinking about what you have learnt will become the focus, using the new library to extend and enrich that practice. This paper will report on the practical implications and experiences of such an undertaking. In addition, the paper will outline some of the research concerning how the elements of the learning process are distributed across the day.

This article presents some of the results obtained from a larger empirical study conducted during the period 2008-2011 in five universities that have the traditional, tehnical and economic profiles in Romania. Our basic approach was the qualitative-quantitative analysis of the possibility of the Romanian higher education to assimilate the entrepreneurial perspective in the current practices from two different perspectives, i.e. teachers and students. The theoretical model of our study belongs to the acclaimed author Burton R. Clark (1998) who identified five ways to develop an entrepreneurial-oriented university (a well-established decision-making center, an extended dynamic periphery, a diversified funding base, a well-stimulated academic core, an integrated entrepreneurial culture), without being literally considered.
