This research aims to produce prototype of computer-based business mathematics teaching materials to improve student achievement of Accounting Department, Politeknik Negeri Bali (PNB). In this research, to reach the target of teaching materials of computer-based business mathematics, the development using Borg and Gall method with some modifications into five steps: needs analysis and curriculum majoring in accounting, initial product development, education expert validation, small group trial , and large group trials. Trial of small group and large group by involving first semester student of Diploma IV Managerial Accounting Study Program, Accounting Department, PNB. Based on curriculum analysis and needs analysis, teaching materials are developed in the form of modules with Microsoft Excel application and the result of the initial product are five modules with topics of Formula, Linear and Non Linear Functions, Interest Calculation, Annuity, and Linear Programming. Education expert validation using five aspects resulted in an average score of 4.13 (good). Trial of the teaching materials by measuring student perceptions using three aspects for small groups resulted in an average score of 3.81 (good) and for large groups resulted in an average score of 4.23 (good). Furthermore, results of evaluation in large groups indicate a significant increase in mean of student scores from before and after using computer-based Business Mathematics teaching materials

Abstract: One of the efforts to solve learning problems is by developing instructional resources. One of them is instructional tutorial. Based on the field observation, subject of photo media for Instruction (photography) in graduate program PBA of STAIN Kediri still employes instructional media (utilization). Thus, there is a need to develop media of instructional tutorial (by desaign) in order to overcome errors in delivering instructional messages. The aim of this study is to produce instructional media of subject of photo media for Instruction (photography) in the form of tutorial, lecturer guidance and students’ guidance which is expected to be able to help students gain knowledge of facts, concepts, and proper shooting procedures. The tutorial media is developed in terms of the study of the instructional technology which is based on the ADDIE model. The ADDIE model is a systematic instructional design model consisting of five phases: (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, and (5) evaluation. Furthermore, the product of the development of the instructional interactive multimedia will be evaluated. There are six steps in the evaluation phase: (1) judgement of the matter expert/ the material expert, (2) judgement of the design expert, (3) judgement of the media expert, (4) individual trials, (5) small group trials, (6) large group trials/ field trials. The result of expert validation for this instructional media tutorial indicates that it is properly designed, 73%. The result of media expert validation shows that it is very properly designed, 83%. The result of design expert validation shows that it is very properly designed, 82%. Personal validation is on the proper category, 70%. Result of small group validation is on proper category, 70%. Moreover, the result for big group test or field test is on the very proper category, 95%. Suggestion proposed related with the use and developing of media tutorial is (1) lecturers should be more creative and innovative in delivering instructional messages contained in this tutorial in order to make learning to be more attractive, fun, and creative, (2) there is a need to develop instructional media for subject of photo media instruction (photography) or other subjects, (3) the use of designed in media tutorial should be more interesting to make learning more interactive and interesting

The lack of Biology teaching materials in senior high school in the Kerinci District has promoted this research. The purpose of this development research is to produce e-modules as teaching materials used by students in Biology subjects. The model used in developing this e-module is the 4-D model, which consists of 4 stages, namely defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. Biology e-modules on plantae and animalia material based on the potential of the Kerinci region were validated by media and material experts. The results of the media expert validation obtained the final percentage of 90% (very valid category) and the material expert validation obtained a percentage of 75% (valid category). From the results of the field test, the teacher responded that the e-modules produced were suitable for use in biology class X high school learning with a percentage of 92.5% (very good category). Furthermore, e-module trials on students obtained responses that the products produced were also proper to be used in biology learning in class X of senior high school. The small group test obtained a score of 85% (excellent category) and the large group test obtained score 78.3% (good category). The use of the developed e-modules in learning resulted in a score of 76.3% (successful category).

The purpose of the development of this mathematics module is to produce products in the form of mathematical modules based on Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) material that is valid and practical. The type of research that is used is research and development (R&D). The model that is used is the R&D model developed by Sugiyono who has been modified. The stages which are used in this development research only stage 1 through 7. The instruments which are used were expert validation questionnaire and questionnaire response of students. Based on the results of expert validation obtained the results of the validation of material expert 78,84% (decent categories), linguists expert 85% (category of very feasible) and design expert 83,6% (a very feasible category), so that the overall percentage of the validator obtained a total percentage of 82,48% (very feasible category). The results of the small group trial were obtained from the response of students of the mathematics module was 84% (a very practical category). Based on the results, it can be concluded that the SSCS-based mathematics module material for students’ questions in SMA Negeri 1 Metro is very feasible and very practical to be used as a source of learning mathematics, especially circle material.

An inspection process using a Spring Contact Probe (SCP) is an essential step in the semiconductor-manufacturing process. Many plungers, which are the main body of the SCP, are manufactured by a stamping process. After the stamping process, mechanical cutting is applied and the plunger body may be damaged. Thus, to improve cut quality and productivity while minimizing body damage, laser spot cutting can be used. To fully utilize this technology, it is necessary to investigate interaction characteristics of beryllium copper (BeCu) during laser spot cutting. Effects of a total irradiated laser-pulse energy (1 mJ ~1000 mJ ) and pulse duration (100 ns ~8 ns ) on the material-removal zone, thermal depth, and crater size are examined. The crater size can be affected by the localization of heating dominantly. An incubation model is applied to investigate the correlation between crater size and laser-pulse energy. Surface morphology characteristics such as edge separation, small particles, spatter motion, and soaring-up motion are observed.

Indonesia is a country that has a diverse culture, ethnicity, language, and rich tourism potentials. However, many people abroad who do not know about the diversity of Indonesian culture. The younger generations were much less aware of even less have sufficient of the richness of the culture of Indonesia. The knowledge about Indonesian culture of Japanese Language Education students Semarang State University, is still inadequate, so they can not be explained to the Japanese society apropiately, not good enough. Therefore students need to be given education by developing blog that contains Indonesian culture which is written in Japanese. The purpose of this study was developing a blog that can be a means of learning the culture. The method used is the Research and Development (R & D), with a step preliminary studies, product development, and product validation testing. Data was collected by questionnaire. Japanese expert validation results towards this blog are considered quite good as a means of studying Indonesian culture with an average score of 2.7 on the aspects of the format, quality, clarity, and clarity of language.
