The article considers the pedagogical culture of future masters as a component of professional competence, considers the fundamentalization of education by various scholars as a necessary condition for the pedagogical culture of future masters. The integrative core of a professional teacher is a highly formed pedagogical culture that allows individuals to self-actualize and self-realize in life, to find personal meanings in education. And the more the teacher has a pedagogical culture, the more complete will be his self-realization. Professional culture involves the ability to be a mediator, a «mediator» between students and educational material. Assimilation of this material occurs directly in the learning process, so the teacher must be ready to perform the role of advisor, assistant, consultant, communicator, partner. Successful performance of these tasks is facilitated by the presence of the qualities revealed in the article. Different points of view and approaches to the definition of the concept of fundamentalization of education are revealed. The concepts of fundamentalization of professional training of the future specialist are based on the purposes and functions of fundamentalization and on ways and means of its achievement, etc. Most authors agree only that: the fundamentalization of education is aimed at improving the quality of education and education of the individual and is necessary for the formation of pedagogical culture of future masters as part of their professional competence. Others imply the formation of culture and worldview, increasing creative and intellectual potential, the formation of professional competence of the specialist and the potential for further education, and so on. It was found that professional training includes not only the activities of teachers and students who form the learning process, but also the independent activities of the subject, self-development, assimilation of experience by the subject through analysis, understanding and transformation of the field of activity in which he included. It is revealed through the implementation of which approaches to the fundamentalization of higher professional education it becomes possible to form the pedagogical culture of future masters as a component of their professional competence, which contributes to improving the quality of training of future professionals in free economic education.

The author is interested in studying the portrait of a competent (ideal) teacher. Does the intensification of the pace of education and the growing demands on the quality of education affect the shift of emphasis in the personality of a specialist to greater pragmatism and rigidity? Or is it still, as in the days of Pestalozzi, humanity and morality determine the personality of the teacher? What personality traits of a teacher of Humanities are valuable to students? In this paper the author explores whether the points of view on personal competence of students and teachers coincide. The teacher must have knowledge of the subject, have communication skills, and be a charismatic personality in order to instill students with interest in learning the language, to encourage them to perform a large amount of work. First-year students, when adapting to studying at a university, evaluate university teachers effectiveness in teaching and communicating through the prism of school experience. Students opinions about the objectivity of teachers assessments depend on how interpersonal communication develops in the student-teacher paradigm. The adaptation of students to new forms of training largely depends on whether the teachers personality corresponds to the image of the competent (ideal teacher) that was formed at the previous stage of training (school years).

<p>Most first-year students of the natural-geographical department demonstrate a low level of school chemistry training and experience difficulties in passing the exam in this discipline. An effectively organized independent work of students and its timely control make it possible to overcome these difficulties The author has developed a score-rating system for knowledge assessment that can facilitate the procedure. The educational content of the subject is divided into subject modules. For each subject, several types of training activities are indicated and fixed in the technological map of the discipline. The system involves some criteria for evaluating the results of educational activities, of which students are aware. The test score is summarized with that of the term academic performance and the final grade is calculated. This system allows students a clearer and more timely understanding of the assessment system; it allows them to realize the need for systematic independent work, which is especially important in the study of such a time-consuming subject as chemistry.<strong></strong></p>

Purpose: To compare the quality of life of senior first-year students with normal vision and myopia, and to explore the risk factors related to quality of life in students with myopia. Methods: In this study, 1103 senior first-year students were enrolled in ten high schools. These students were divided according to the diopter degree, with 916 myopia students and 187 normal vision students. Visual function indexes, such as naked eye vision, were measured and recorded, and social demographic indexes and the National Eye Institute 25-Item Visual Function Questionnaire (NEI VFQ-25) was used. The differences in quality of life between the two groups were compared. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to explore the possible risk factors for quality of life in myopia students. Results: In the NEI VFQ-25, the total quality of life scores of myopia students (77.06 ± 15.66) were lower than those of normal vision students (85.49 ± 12.37). The difference was statistically significant ( p = 0.007). In the correlation analysis, the total scores of quality of life in myopia students were positively correlated with wearing glasses ( p = 0.049), and were negatively correlated with study time ( p = 0.029). Multiple linear regression analysis showed that study time, wearing glasses and age were risk factors affecting quality of life in myopia students. Conclusion: Our results show that senior first-year myopia students have lower quality of life scores than students with normal vision. Study time, wearing glasses and age are risk factors for quality of life in senior first-year myopia students.
