English is one of the most common languages in the world, and it has become one of the most important subjects in various countries. The native languages of China and Thailand are not English, and both countries are located in Asia and have many similarities in geographical location and cultural background. The Ministries of Education of the two countries have successively put forward relevant policies to promote the development of English education in the country. The implementation of these policies has promoted the development of college English course teaching in the country. These factors determine that the two countries have similarities in college English course teaching for Non-English majors. However, there are differences in teaching mode and teaching staff in the two countries because of their different national conditions, which make many differences, exist in college English course teaching for non-English majors in the two countries.During the author’s career as an exchange student in Chiang Mai University, she experienced the difference of college English course teaching for non-English majors in Thai universities, so the author did some researches on the basis of the understanding of English course teaching in Thai universities. Therefore, this thesis takes Sino-Thai college English course teaching for non-English majors as the research object—takes Jiujiang University and Chiang Mai University as example, and analyses their present situation from the aspects of the development and evolution, the teaching mode, and teaching staff of college English course teaching for non-English majors. On this basis, the author make a comparative analysis of the English course teaching for non-English majors in two selected universities, then find their respective advantages and disadvantages, and put forward some suggestions on the development of Sino-Thai college English course teaching.

In order to explore the effect of PBL teaching mode on the cultivation of critical thinking ability for non-English majors, this paper uses case analysis method to explain the process of applying PBL teaching mode to non-English Majors’ College English course teaching, namely, preparation questions stage before class, classroom activity stage and classroom reflection section. Result: before teaching, there was no statistical difference between the two groups of students’ CTDI-CV score and the scores of each item (P > 0.05). After teaching, the total scores of CTDI-CV items in the test group were higher than those in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The experiment shows that the PBL teaching mode is superior to the LBL teaching mode, which is conducive to improving students’ critical thinking ability.

Introduction/purpose: The main purpose of this paper is to present a novel Java GUI - based software application for a comparative analysis of fingerprint and iris biometrics. Methods: The first part of this work is realized in Java Programming language. in the GUI framework named swing while the rest of the paper shows in detail the advantages and disadvantages of both systems and gives scientific data on when fingerprint and iris recognition can be used to enable top level security. The main method here is a well known comparative analysis. Results: The results were obtained for both fingerprint and iris biometrics, showing the difference between the two. Conclusion: Different types of biometrics, based on body parts formed at different age, are given as well as the comparison of their security levels.

Our society needs talents that excel in English-Chinese translation and English education. However, there is not yet a unified and scientific evaluation index system (EIS) for the employment quality of graduates from English department of colleges. Very few scholars have analyzed the difference between English majors in employment ability. Therefore, this paper decides to analyze the difference between English majors in employment ability, and evaluate their employment quality. Firstly, an EIS was constructed to evaluate and predict the employment quality of English majors in colleges. Secondly, the relevant indices were selected and analyzed in turn. Thirdly, an employment quality prediction model was constructed for English majors in colleges. The proposed EIS and model were proved effective through experiments.

On the basis of convolution neural network, deep learning algorithm can make the convolution layer convolute the input image to complete the hierarchical expression of feature information, which makes pattern recognition more simple and accurate. Now, in the theory of multimodal discourse analysis, the nonverbal features in communication are studied as a symbol system similar to language. In this paper, the author analyzes the deep learning complexity and multimodal target recognition application in English education system. Multimodal teaching gradually has its practical significance in the process of rich teaching resources. The large-scale application of multimedia technology in college English classroom is conducive to the construction of a real language environment. The simulation results show that the multi-layer and one-dimensional convolution structure of the product neural network can effectively complete many natural language problems, including the tagging of lexical and semantic roles, and thus effectively improve the accuracy of natural language processing. Multimodal teaching mode helps to memorize vocabulary images more deeply. 84% of students think that multi-modal teaching mode is closer to life. Meanwhile, multimedia teaching display is more acceptable. College English teachers should renew their teaching concepts and adapt themselves to the new teaching mode.
