Based on these problems the authors are interested in conducting this research. This research will discuss about what is meant by a tourist village, how tourism activities occur in the two study objects and how architecture as a physical element plays a role in the activities in it. The purpose of this study is to describe how far a village called a tourist village is feasible as a tourist place by introducing the tourism criteria, what are the criteria for a village to be called a tourist village. This research is a descriptive qualitative research, using Kampung Lawas Maspati and Kampung Pelangi Kenjeran as objects of study to be compared based on the tourism criteria itself, to further examine how the physical (architectural) element settings play a role in accommodating tourism activities in the village itself. So that how far the two objects of study meet the existing tourist criteria so that they are feasible as tourist attractions. With this research, it is hoped that it can provide an understanding of what is meant by a tourist village and the importance of the role of architecture in realizing the tourism village it deserves. The results of the research show that the physical elements in Kampung Lawas Maspati meet the three criteria that a tourism village needs to have and there are tourism activities organized by local village managers, while Kampung Pelangi Kenjeran has not fulfilled existing tourism criteria, the availability of physical elements in Kampung Pelangi Kenjeran is very minimal. This proves that the term "tourism" in Pelangi Kenjeran village is still not appropriate as it should be.   Key Words: setting, physical elements, activity, urban tourim village

The tourism sector has become a truly global force for promoting economic growth and development. Therefore, the study of tourism has become an interesting topic for researchers lately. On the other hand, local tourism, generally in developing countries, is often neglected by academics and policymakers. For this reason, this study aims to examine and analyze the role of tourist motivation in mediating accessibility, amenities, and attractions on visiting decisions. This study is a survey research with an explanatory method. The population is tourists who visit the tourism village of Bumiaji, Indonesia, in the low and busy seasons. The population is infinite and the number of respondents who were interviewed is 100 respondents; data were collected by distributing questionnaires to domestic tourists who came from outside the tourist village of Bumiaji, then the data were processed and analyzed using Warp Partial Least Squares. The findings indicate that the effect of accessibility on visiting decisions is not mediated by tourist motivation. This shows that the decision of tourists to visit can be directly influenced by the time and means of transportation available. Meanwhile, the influence of amenities and attractions on the decision to visit is mediated by the motivation of tourists. This means that amenities and attractions can influence a tourist’s decision to visit if there is an urge from tourist to relax or make friends or enjoy the culture at tourist attractions, etc.

The research method using observation in Setigi tourism, interviews with village leaders, managers of Tourism Awareness Group/Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis), local traders, and visitors. The indication of community has built Setigi tourist destinations by utilizing the potential of nature. Meanwhile, CBT is implemented in environmental conservation, tourism training, accessibility of transformation, and the development of communication systems. Setigi tourism is built based on social participation, which results in nature-based tourism destinations, the development of the Mbok Inggih kitchen, and the home industry.
