Introduction. Additional education has a high potential to influence the musical and creative development of children. One of the integrative forms of educational activity is the school theater, in which the versatile creative abilities of students are updated: musical (vocal, instrumental), dance, plastic, acting, verbal and dramatic, etc. The purpose of the article is to consider the theoretical and methodological grounds for the development of musical and creative abilities of children of primary school age in the process of theatrical activities carried out in the conditions of additional education. Material and methods. To identify the status of the problem of musical-creative development of children in terms of further education and its solution used the method of analysis of psycho-pedagogical and methodological literature and empirical methods, allowing to develop and test creative task for the participants of the musical-theatre group. Results and discussion. The study clarifies the content and structural components of the concept of “musical and creative abilities”, including General musical, special musical (cognitive, performing, creative) and individual creative abilities of children (empathy, artistry, emotionality, imaginative nature of thinking, etc.). Methodical recommendations for teachers describe the phased organization of classes in the school theater (motivational, content and procedural components), the most effective methods of musical and creative development of students, based on the age and individual characteristics of younger students, as well as consistent with the synthetic nature of the musical theater genre and the collective form of co-creation of the teacher and students. Conclusion. The development of musical and creative abilities of primary school students by means of school theater depends on the organization of the educational process, based on the complex application of creative tasks aimed at the formation of each structural component of these abilities separately, as well as their synthesis. An effective form of instruction in school theater from the point of view of additional education of children is rehearsal of musical and theatrical performances, in which not only the musical, creative and cultural development of the personality of students takes place, the formation of a group of like-minded people.

The project presented in this work is the development of the teaching staff of Minsk State Palace of Children and Youth (Republic of Belarus). The peculiarity of the pedagogical approach when developing a project is that it is designed as a modern pedagogical technology of a modular type. The project is addressed to two target groups of participants: the first group is students of institutions of general secondary education, gymnasiums, lyceums, students at the III stage (high school), for whom the situation of professional choice is relevant; the second target group is primary school students of vocational and secondary specialized education institutions. The pedagogical influence on the participants of this target group is aimed at increasing the stability of professional choice, expanding the ideas of student youth about the possibilities of the chosen profession for creative self-realization and the manifestation of business initiative. Ultimately, the expected social effect from the implementation of the project is associated, firstly, with a reasoned motivated choice of an educational and professional strategy and, secondly, with the formation of motivation for professional development and consolidation of promising personnel in the chosen professional field. Cultural, educational and methodological means, which provide the content and activity component of the educational and vocational guidance project, reflect the innovative process of practical solution of strategic and tactical tasks stipulated by the Concept for the development of vocational guidance of youth in the Republic of Belarus. Additional education for children and youth is an integrating factor in the development of career guidance potential of the unified educational system of the capital region of the Republic of Belarus.

The current situation in the education system requires a revision of the content of work with such a non-standard category as gifted children. Many scientists are aware of the importance of gifted and talented children as the future scientific elite and the engine of the country's progress. Most studies identify a number of difficulties in the social development of the gifted, including the difficulties of communicating with peers and adults, the complexity of personal self-determination, and often the difficulty of professional self-determination. In this regard, the study of issues of professional selfdetermination is seen as an urgent problem that requires psychological and pedagogical consideration. As practice shows, most organizations of additional education have successful and interesting experience in working with gifted children, who later turn out to be prize-winners and winners of the olympic and competitive movement. In 2019– 2020 we conducted a study in which 156 students of senior school age took part. With the help of a questionnaire, we studied and identified the features of professional selfdetermination of gifted high school students in the conditions of additional education organizations in the city of Kostroma (Multi-subject school for the gifted) and St. Petersburg (Academy of talents). In addition, we have revealed some influence of the chosen programs of additional education on the professional choice of young people. The results of the study have shown that additional education plays an important role in the professional self-determination of gifted students, and there is a certain relationship between the profile of future professional activity and the choice of a particular association in organizing additional education.

The article argues that the Russian school system is limited in respect of the mastered activity types: children are mostly retelling texts or solving text tasks. At the same time, in China and the EU the polytypic activity is "built in" even in the architectural space of the school. In the school building, there are special areas for different learning activities: one for a usual lesson, another one for performances, and a third one for experiments. The author challenges the idea of the traditional division between school disciplines and project-based learning, the latter being isolated and institutionalized in the form of additional education with no goals to master generalized ways of acting. Project-based learning carries out the function of motivation: by implementing their projects school students begin to understand how to use knowledge in a practical context. Transition from a project plot to implementation is the move from design thinking to action in a situation. Integrating academic curriculum and project-based education is possible on the basis of metasubject approach: such constituents as knowledge, sign (schemes), problem, task, situation, meaning, and goals are used as tools for mastering academic disciplines and developing projects. At the same time, students acquire a special type of reflection of the cognitive and metacognitive processes in solving research and design problems.
