Entrepreneurship is a key concept to understand the rapid development of China’s economy since the reform and opening-up. It is related to the revitalization of the Chinese nation. Formulating effective entrepreneurial policies and measures, carrying out entrepreneurship education, and promoting entrepreneurial actions are important issues that government agencies, educational institutions, and the society at all levels are paying attention to. The key lies in the insight into the psychological cognitive mechanism and motivation source of entrepreneurs in starting a business. Upon reviewing previous studies, this article believes that entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intentions are the key concepts and entry points connecting entrepreneurial characteristics, entrepreneurial behavior, and cognitive research. This study explores the relationship between entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intention from five dimensions: entrepreneurial planning efficacy, entrepreneurial resource acquisition, relationship coordination efficacy, risk-taking efficacy, as well as innovation and reform efficacy. Suggestions and strategies have been proposed in this article to integrate the entrepreneurial ecology of universities, society and the government, reform the entrepreneurial education model, as well as improve the entrepreneurial willingness of college students.

The study aimed to explore the role of creativity and proactive personality on management student’s entrepreneurial intention. The study also proposed entrepreneurial self-efficacy to mediate the effect of proactivity and creativity on entrepreneurial intention. The data were collected from 484 management students using a structured questionnaire which were further analysed using structural equation modelling in Amos 20.0. The results showed that entrepreneurial self-efficacy was the strongest predictor of entrepreneurial intention. Proactive personality was also found to influence entrepreneurial intention significantly, though the effect of creativity on intention was very marginal. Finally, the results of the mediation analysis (bootstrapping method) showed that the relationship between creativity and entrepreneurial intention was fully mediated by self-efficacy while the effect of proactivity on entrepreneurial intention was partially mediated. The findings of the study produced interesting and significant implications which are discussed in the article.

Entrepreneurs play a vital role in the economic development and sustainability of any country. Entrepreneurship also helps in creating employment in the country and alleviating poverty. Developing an entrepreneurial ecosystem can ease the entrepreneurial culture in a country. This objective of the study highlighted the relationship of self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intentions of the entrepreneurs before launching any new business. These factors explained the hurdles faced by the entrepreneurs before starting any new business. For this purpose, a semi-structured questionnaire was utilized by the researcher as the research instrument. Primary data was collected from the students at different universities from different geographical locations and different academic backgrounds of Faisalabad. The purposive sampling technique used with sample size of 200 and different statistical tools would be applied to make an analysis. This study would be helpful to the practitioners, academia and entrepreneurs who are willing to enter the field of entrepreneurship. This study would highlight the entrepreneurial intentions of the students from entering the field of entrepreneurship.

The growing number of café businesses makes undergraduate students attracting to the enterprise. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between Entrepreneurial Self-Efficacy (ESE) on entrepreneurial intention with the mediating role of attitude toward entrepreneurship. This study is providing questionnaires on the respondent. Total respondents are from 92 undergraduate students as the owner of a cafe business in Surabaya, Indonesia. This study examines two hypotheses by smart PLS. Entrepreneurial self-efficacy has a significant and positive influence on entrepreneurial intention. Attitude toward entrepreneurial is partially mediating the relationship between entrepreneurial self-efficacy with entrepreneurial intention. Entrepreneurial self-efficacy includes beliefs about the capabilities of achieving desired outcomes as well as beliefs about one's abilities to complete tasks. ESE is crucial to building entrepreneurial intention because the survival of a business does not merely depend on success but also seeks opportunities in business development. Entrepreneurial self-efficacy is a crucial factor that should be had by the undergraduate student as an owner of a business. By having a higher entrepreneurial self-efficacy, the better impact on an entrepreneur has perceived competence for successfully starting a new enterprise.

E-entrepreneurship has received significant attention in the 21st century as entrepreneurial activities anchor on creativity and innovation. Seeking to change from a petroleum-based to a service-based economy, the government of Saudi Arabia considers entrepreneurship as a critical option. This study investigates the influence of the TPB components (attitude towards entrepreneurship, subjective norms, and entrepreneurial self-efficacy) on the e-entrepreneurial intention of Saudi women. Five hundred thirty-four female undergraduate students from different universities in Saudi Arabia completed survey questionnaires to understand the moderating role of resource accessibility in influencing entrepreneurial intentions. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used to test the model. The study reveals that attitude towards entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial self-efficacy are significantly related to e-entrepreneurial intention, while the subjective norm was insignificant. The moderation role of resource accessibility (RA) positively impacted the relationship between the TPB components and e-entrepreneurial intention. The findings of this study develop a base for supporting women's entrepreneurial intention through resource accessibility. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-efficacy in entrepreneurship with entrepreneurial intentions among university students, specifically for those who are in their final semester. As for its research method, this study uses a quantitative method to explain the relationship between variables by collecting data that has been distributed to 104 respondents. The research instrument for this study is a scale of entrepreneurial self-efficacy and an entrepreneurial intention scale, both of which meet reliability requirements. The result of the study states that there is a positive and significant relationship between self-efficacy entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial intentions.

During the economic crisis occurring in Indonesian, entrepreneurial sector has been the solution for Indonesian economic downturn. Until the current time, entrepreneurship keeps becoming the cornerstone for the government in improving Indonesia economic growth. However, entrepreneur women face more specific obstacles which complicate their steps, then it causes the fact that there are more entrepreneur women have contributions in Indonesian economic growth (60%) is less exposed (Tjahjadi et al., 2019). The study is aimed to identify the relationship between adversity quotients with entrepreneurial intentions of entrepreneur women. The hypothesis proposed in this study is that there is a positive relationship between adversity quotients with entrepreneurial intentions of entrepreneur women. The research subjects were 100 batik entrepreneur women. The scale used in this study was made based on the aspects of the Theory Planned Behavior (TPB) by Ajzen for the entrepreneurial intention variable and aspects of the Adversity Response Profile (ARP) by Stotlz for the adversity quotient variable. The hypothesis test result using Pearson's product-moment showed a correlation number r of .497 and p = .000 (p < .01). It indicates that there is a significant relationship between Adversity Quotient and Entrepreneurial Intensity so that the proposed hypothesis is accepted. The implication of the research is for encouraging the entrepreneur women to create solution to overcome adversities in developing the business.

Objective - The purpose of this paper is to describe entrepreneurial intentions (EI) among university students in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. Methodology/Technique - Adapting the theory of planned behavior, this study measures entrepreneurial self-efficacy, risk tolerance, and desirability of self-employment as antecedents of entrepreneurial intention. Using cross-sectional data from 190 students in Bandung, the analysis uses multiple regression analysis to investigate the relationship among the variables. Findings - The findings show that entrepreneurial self-efficacy and desirability of self-employment have a significant impact on entrepreneurial intentions. Desirability of working for others and risk-averse personalities were found to be suppressor variables, while risk-taker personalities were found to be insignificant. Novelty - The study contributes to the field of entrepreneurial intention research as it investigates the antecedents of entrepreneurial intentions among university students in Bandung based on samples taken from 8 different universities. Understanding the various factors that influence entrepreneurial intentions is very important in efforts to develop entrepreneurship in higher education. Entrepreneurship is currently the center of attention of various parties because it has a contribution to economic development that can be used to overcome the problem of the gap between job opportunities and the available workforce for young people. This study investigates the role of social capital on entrepreneurial intentions and other variables that may mediate the relationship between the two. For this purpose, using a sample of 269 students majoring in education last year at the Sebelas Maret University. Using structured questionnaire in data collection, and tested with SPSS. the results obtained from the collected data indicate that social capital has a direct and indirect influence on entrepreneurial intentions through self-efficacy.

This study attempts to investigate the influence of the Big Five personality traits and self-efficacy (SE) on entrepreneurial intentions. It also aims to find out whether the influence of a set of personality traits and SE on entrepreneurial intention differs across gender. The target population of this study was students enrolled in Bachelor of Technology (BTech). The results offer support for the relation of openness, neuroticism, conscientiousness and agreeableness, and SE with entrepreneurial intention—except on the relation of extraversion and entrepreneurial intention. Based on the findings, the study argues that the relationship between entrepreneurial intention and Big Five personality traits is moderated, at least partially, by gender.

From the intentionality-based view, individuals' actual behaviors to initiate a new venture is driven by their entrepreneurial intentions. Company employees have accumulated professionalism and practical experience, which both enable them to discover some unmet market demand and industrial gaps. However, in establishing a new business, not everyone with certain knowledge or expertise has the desire to become an entrepreneur. Prior research has shown that entrepreneurial intentions are under the profound influences of intrinsic factors and extrinsic factors. On the one hand, entrepreneurial self-efficacy is one of the key psychological states that makes someone dare to initiate entrepreneurial activities. Institutional environment, on the other hand, can either enhance and hinder an individuals' entrepreneurial motivation by offering incentives or causing barriers. Little work has been done to understand how the institutional environment and entrepreneurial self-efficacy jointly affect company employees' intention to quit their job and start an enterprising career. By using hierarchical regression on a sample of 325 Indonesian company employees, this paper shows that the entrepreneurial cognition and entrepreneurial self-efficacy are positively related to employees' entrepreneurial intentions. Also, entrepreneurial self-efficacy strengthens the effect of normative Approval on entrepreneurial intention, whereas the regulatory Support from Government is detrimental to company employees' intention to start a new venture regardless the entrepreneurial self-efficacy is high or low.
