Previous research which found that adolescent tend to involve in radicalism make interesting to find out the relationship between identity status and religious tolerance in adolescence. This research involved 157 participants whose ages ranged from 11 to 24 years. The variable of identity status was conceptualized based on Erikson’s exploration and commitment aspects, and was measured using Ego Identity Process Questionnaire (EIPQ). Meanwhile, religious tolerance was measured using a rating scale adapted from van der Walt’s religious tolerance scale. This study found negative relationship between commitment and religious tolerance, and there is no a relationship between exploration and religious tolerance. From four identity status tested, it is found that most participants are in the category of identity diffusion which means that most participants have no specific commitment and interest in ideology. The result also shows that identity moratorium has the highest mean in religious tolerance, and it is found significantly different with identity achievement and identity foreclosure. Based on the commitment aspect, participants with achievement and foreclosure identity status tend to be religiously intolerance, while those with identity moratorium are found most open to the others’ worldviews.

The relationship between the evaluation of Turkish university students of their family problems and their age, gender and identity status was studied. The study group was composed of 291 students from Hacettepe University. The results of the study showed that there is a direct relation between gender and Identity Foreclosure and Moratorium, and between age and identity status. Depending on the evaluation of insensitivity and inconsistency within the family, the Identity Achievement scores of the students decrease, however, the scores of Moratorium and Identity Diffusion increase. An increase in the evaluation of health and economic problems within the family seems to be related to a decrease in Moratorium scores, and the evaluation of a disorganized family and incompatible parents seems to be related to a decrease in the scores of Identity Foreclosure.

The study reported here investigated the relationship between individuals' perceptions of their families' functioning and of their own emerging identity. Individuation from the parents is closely intertwined with identity formation; families supportive of young people's separation and individuation more often have identity-achieved young people. 83 college students responded to an assessment of their perceptions of their families in 10 areas related to goals, separateness of family members, and over-all functioning. They also responded to the Extended Version of the Objective Measure of Ego Identity Status of Bennion and Adams. Correlations among family dimensions and the identity status scales indicate family factors were related to identity status in the following ways: Little conflict predicted the foreclosure identity status for both sexes. Identity achievement is related to aspects of family functioning differently for the two sexes. Indeed, gender-related aspects of family functioning best predict identity status. Valuing independence and achievements predicts men's identity achievement and emotional expression predicts women's identity achievement. Lack of family integration is related to the diffusion status in both sexes.

This study aims to find out: (1) self-efficacy as predictor of career decision making in terms of identity achievement status, (2) self-efficacy as predictor of career decision making in terms of identity moratorium status, (3) self-efficacy as predictor of career decision making in terms of identity foreclosure status (4 selfefficacy as predictor of career decision making in terms of identity diffusion status. The design of the research used in this study was quantitative correlational. Subjects of this study were 76 students according to the characteristics of the research by using purposive sampling technique. The results of this study showed a significant relationship between the lack of self-efficacy with career decision-making on the third identity status (achievement, moratorium and foreclosure). Based on the value of the correlation, a variable is said to have no effect because the value significance greater than 0.05 (sig. < 0.05). Whereas, on the status of identity diffusion, there is a significant relationship between self-efficacy and career decision making. Keywords: identity status, career decision making, self efficacy

The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between social isolation, illness anxiety and quality of life in corona survivors. This paper focuses on moderating role of illness anxiety on the relationship between social isolation and quality of life of COVID-19 survivors who faced this disease in past 6 months. The sample comprised of 110 survivors of COVID-19. Purposive sampling was used to assess the participants with the help of Google forms. Social isolation was measured by using Lubben Social Network Scale (Lubben et al., 2006), quality of life was measured by WHOQOL-BREF (World Health Organization, 1996), and to measure illness anxiety Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (Hamilton, 1959) was used. Correlational analysis revealed that social isolation had positive relationship with illness anxiety. Illness anxiety had negative relationship with physical health, psychological health environment and overall quality of life. Moreover, moderation analysis revealed that illness anxiety significantly moderated the relationship between social isolation and quality of life. This research attempted to explore the social isolation during lock down and illness anxiety corporate in low quality of life in COVID-19 pandemic. This study has variety of clinical implications as this research gave us insight into the role of social isolation and illness anxiety on quality of life especially in this pandemic so it will help psychologists to take measurements accordingly.

This study aims to analyze the identity of high school students based on four levels of status (identity diffusion, identity foreclosure, identity moratorium, and identity achievement). Self-identity is very important because the task of development at that time is to adapt to changes that exist in oneself. Teens who experience an identity crisis show that they are trying to find their identity. Therefore, adolescents need help to improve their identity. This study aims to describe the identity of students. The sample in this study consisted of 240 high school students who were selected by proportional random sampling. The instrument used was a self-identity scale. The instrument used has been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis in this study used a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. The results showed that identity diffusion was in the high category 33.85 (81 students), identity foreclosure was in the high category 10.8% (26 students), identity moratorium was in the high category 46.2% (111 students), and identity achievement was at high category 9.3% (22 students). The implication of this research is the counselor's basis for improving the self-identity of students in schools

A total of 96 mothers of preschool children participated in a study examining the relationships among identity status and the variables of family attachment style and understanding of children’s development. Results indicated that women in the committed identity statuses of identity achievement and, contrary to expectation, foreclosure, were highest in secure attachment. Fearful attachment predominated among the uncommitted identity statuses of moratorium and identity diffusion. Achievement women were the highest and diffusion women lowest in their understanding of children’s development. Examination of attachment styles as categorical variables, for achievements and foreclosures, revealed two different patterns within each status: secure and insecure. When achievements and foreclosures were grouped according to their attachment classifications and their perspectivistic scores analysed, achieved-insecure women had relatively high perspectivistic scores (in fact, the highest among the statuses) and foreclosed-insecure women had relatively low ones (almost as low as diffuse women). These results suggest that there may be two distinct patterns of both foreclosure and achievement for adult women.

One hundred and thirteen women participated in a study of the relationship between acquaintance rape, ego-identity achievement, and locus of control. Results showed that, compared to women who had not been assaulted, survivors of acquaintance rape reported lower ego-identity achievement and greater beliefs that the outcomes of their lives were controlled by luck, chance, or powerful others. It was further found that the relationships between acquaintance rape and the respective forms of external locus of control (Chance and Powerful Others) were mediated by level of ego-identity achievement.

Objective: To investigate the relationship between Expressed Emotion (EE) and working memory (WM) capacity in the caregivers of patients with psychosis, controlling for the potential confounds, namely, personality traits, subsyndromal psychotic symptoms, burden of care and the patient’s illness severity. Materials and Methods: The study covered 152 related caregivers of psychotic patients diagnosed with schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, or bipolar disorder with a psychotic component. The study continued with 120 participants who met the recruitment criteria. Patients were assessed with a Structured Clinical Interview for Axis I Disorders (SCID-I), the Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale (BPRS), and the Clinical Global Impression Scale (CGI). For related caregivers; SCID-I, Expressed Emotion Scale (EES), Temperament and Character Inventory (TCI); Magical Ideation Scale; Physical Anhedonia Scale; Social Anhedonia Scale; Zarit Caregiver Burden Scale (ZCBS), and Auditory Consonant Trigram Test (ACT) were used. A stepwise regression analysis was employed to analyze the relevant variables that had an independent impact on EES scores. Results: There was a significant negative relationship between the ACT and EES scores (r=-.25, p<0.01). The ZCBS score (beta: 0.355, p<0.01), Harm Avoidance subscale of the TCI (beta: 0.231, p<0.01), and CGI overall improvement subscale (beta: 0.237, p<0.01) were independently associated with the EES score. Conclusions: There have been few studies investigating the biological basis of this clinical characteristic. The present study found no significant relationship between WM and EE in terms of the effect of WM in the caregivers of patients with psychosis.
