The Relationship between Early Mal Adaptive Schema s and Speech Anxiety in High School Female Students

Objective. Today, obesity and depression are two major illnesses that are on the rise all over the world and threaten human health. This research was done to determine the relationship between Body Mass Index (BMI) and depression among Ahvaz high school female students.Method. In a descriptive-analytical study using stratified random sampling, 400 female high school students in academic year of 2013-2014 were picked and their height and weight were measured. BMI was classified based on World Health Organization classification. To assess the severity of depression, Beck depression questionnaire was used. In order to analyze the data, descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation test were used.Results. In terms of BMI 9% of students were slim, 77% were at an acceptable level, and 14% were overweight. Also, the prevalence of depression was 86.20% major depression and 13.79% moderate depression for obese persons, 10.41% major depression and 70.83% moderate depression for overweight persons, 8.78% major depression and 12.97% moderate depression for normal weight persons, and 9% moderate depression for slim persons. The relationship between BMI and depression among high school students is positive and significant (P<0.001;  r=0.555).Conclusion. There is a positive and significant relationship between BMI and the severity of depression among Ahvaz high school female students.

This study aimed at investigating the relationship between hours of homework, stress, and mood disturbance in senior high school students, 141 boys and 228 girls, recruited from high schools across Victoria, Australia. Participants' ages ranged from 16 to 18 years ( M = 16.6, SD = .6). A 1-wk. homework diary, a Self-reported Stress scale, and the Profile of Mood States were administered to students. Analysis showed that the number of hours spent completing homework ranged from 10 to 65 hours per week ( M = 37.0, SD = 12.2). Independent samples t-test analyses showed significant sex differences, with female students scoring higher on hours of homework, stress, and mood disturbance compared to male students. Pearson product-moment correlations were significant and positive for hours of homework with stress and for hours of homework with mood disturbance.

Background: Intelligence is one of the categories that has long been considered by human beings and is one of the most important factors that lead to individual differences. One of the differences between individuals that leads to the emergence of unique characteristics in them. The research was to find relationship between intelligence (logic-mathematics) and media literacy among high school females. Materials and Methods: In terms of objective, this research is an applied one and, in terms of method, it is a correlation research. So 357 female students at seventh grade at high schools in Tehran's district 4 education organization were selected by Morgan table among 4959 by cluster randomly sampling method. The research tools involved Gardner's Multiple Intelligences with a reliability value of 0.92, media literacy questionnaire (Hasankhani, 2018) with a reliability value of 0.86. Results: The relationship between intelligence (logic-mathematics) and media literacy was analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient by SPSS21. It was revealed that the positive and significant relationship between intelligence (logic-mathematics) and media literacy among high school females. Conclusion: Possessing media literacy and mastering various softwares, especially in the field of methodology and statistics, will play an important role in shaping the structure of knowledge in individuals. The study aimed to determine the relationship between the oral and written discourse competence of the male and female students of Kalamansig National High School. Specifically, it sought to determine the level of oral and written discourse competence of male and female students in terms of informative, persuasive, and argumentative speeches; to find out if there is significant difference between male and female students’ written and oral discourse competence level in the three parameters; and to find out if there is a significant difference between the oral and written discourse competence in general when classified according to gender. This study used the descriptive-correlation method. The researcher utilized the purposive sampling in determining the seventy (70) Grade 10 performing students of Kalamansig National High School as respondents of the study. The teacher-made communicative written and speaking tests were used as instruments to gauge the male and female student’s written and oral discourse competence. Based on the findings, it was concluded that both male and female students oral and written discourse competence are good. Both group of students need equal attention from the teachers to enhance their speaking and writing skills.

The present study aims to identify the relationship between, Psychological resilience .and self- efficacy. among the female students of the high school in Alqurayyat province in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabi. It also seeks to point out the level of Psychological resilience and self- efficacy among female students and indicate the extent to which Psychological resilience can be predicted through self- efficacy. Descriptive method was adopted by the researcher to achieve the objectives of the present research. Stratified random sampling technique was applied to select a sample of (164) female students. Data was collected by the following scales: Psychological resilience Scale prepared by (Shagora2012) and Self- efficacy Scale by the researcher. The results indicated that Psychological resilience and self- efficacy. levels are average among the High school female. students. The study also showed a statistically significant correlation between Psychological resilience and self- efficacy at the level of (0.01). The Psychological resilience of the study sample could be predicted through the degrees of self- efficacy. Based upon these results The study recommends., preparing counseling programs that help in developing psychological resilience and self- efficacy among high school students.

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-esteem and peer social support with consumptive behavior using quantitative methods. The research was conducted in senior high school 1 Sunggal. The number of respondents in this study were 169 female students of Senior high school 1 Sunggal with purposive sampling sampling technique. The measuring instrument used in this study is the scale of consumptive behavior, self-esteem scale and peer-scale social support. Based on Spearman rank data analysis obtained a significant level between self-esteem and consumptive behavior with a significant value of 0,000 <0, 05, meaning that there is a partial relationship between self-esteem and consumptive behavior. While the relationship of peer social support with consumptive behavior with a significant value of 0,000 <0, 05. This proves that there is a partial relationship between self-esteem and consumptive behavior. While the significance level of peer social support and self-esteem with consumptive behavior with a significant value of 0,000 <0, 05 are related simultaneously, then the hypothesis in this study is accepted. The correlation between self-esteem and peer-to-peer support with consumptive behavior on female students of senior high school 1 Sunggal is 0.500%. Keywords: Consumptive behavior, self-esteem, peer social support.   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan harga diri dan dukungan sosial teman sebaya dengan perilaku konsumtif dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Sunggal. Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 169 siswi SMA Negeri 1 Sunggal. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skala perilaku konsumtif, skala harga diri dan skala dukungan sosial teman sebaya. Berdasarkan analisis data rank spearman diperoleh taraf signifikan antara harga diri dengan perilaku konsumtif dengan nilai signifikan 0,000 < 0, 05, artinya membuktikan bahwa terdapat hubungan secara parsial harga diri dengan perilaku konsumtif. Sedangkan hubungan dukungan sosial teman sebaya dengan perilaku konsumtif dengan nilai signifikan 0,000 < 0, 05. Hal tersebut membuktikan bahwa terdapat hubungan secara parsial harga diri dengan perilaku konsumtif. Sedangkan taraf signifikasi dukungan sosial teman sebaya dan harga diri  dengan perilaku konsumtif dengan nilai signifikan 0,000 < 0, 05 berhubungan secara simultan, maka hipotesis dalam penelitian ini diterima. Besar korelasi hubungan harga diri dan dukungan sosila teman sebaya dengan perilaku konsumtif pada siswi SMA Negeri 1 Sunggal sebesar 0.500%. Kata Kunci: Perilaku konsumtif, harga diri, dukungan sosial teman sebaya.

This study aimed to analyze the relationship tendency democraticparenting and emotional intelligence and academic achievement Bilingual juniorstudents. Subject reaserch are 124 male and female students grade 7 juniorBilingual tepadu Junwangi-Krian. The implementation of data collection is done injunior high school student and Bilingual Integrated. Distributed measurement scaleconsists of two questionnaires: 1) Democracy parenting scale, 2) emotionalintelligence scale. The result show F regression = 2.898 de-ngan p = 0.059 (p>0.05) , this means that there is no significant relationship between democraticparenting and emotional maturity with Academic Achievement.Keywords : learning achievement, parenting Democracy, emotional intelligence
