The Cooperative Framework between the National Civic School Teacher Training College and the Ferenc József University in the Service of Teacher Training (1928–1947). In my study I demonstrate the creative process of the cooperative framework between two institutions of high education in Szeged, the National Civic School Teacher Training College and the Ferenc József University from the very first school year in Szeged in 1928 until the last one in 1947, that is, until a dispute that ended their cooperation. The discussion was aimed at the rate of role of the two institutions in civic school teacher training. My goal is to review the historical background and the method of research and then give answers to the following questions: what stages did the coming about of the cooperation go through? What effect did this collaboration have on the everyday life of the students? How is the dispute about the creation of the framework presented in the most important organ of civic school teachers, Polgári Iskolai Tanáregyesületi Közlöny (Civic School Teachers Association Gazette)?

Purpose – The aim of this study is to present an approach for creating an educational process that can affect teacher trainees’ moral resilience, while investigating the manner in which they – as teachers – perceive the concept of moral resilience. Design/methodology/approach – A study questionnaire, designed especially for the current study, was distributed online among trainees in a teacher-training college in Israel and was completed by 123 participants. Findings – Two major themes emerged in trainees’ conceptualizations of the notion of moral resilience: the role of the organisation in which the teaching takes place, and mechanisms that contribute to the development of moral fibre, which creates resilience. Research limitations/implications – The following points should be addressed early on in the teacher-training process: The teaching and acquisition of tools that are fundamental to the development of moral resilience, through cognitive and experiential processes, not only through theoretical study. The construction of a supportive environment will enable students to use their internal resources for coping with events that require mental resilience and which thus serve to develop moral resilience. Originality/value – This paper helps to establish a discourse and develop terminology to implement this subject.

Internationally, a great number of researchers have pointed out the significance of school–family relationship in the process of children’s transition to primary schools. However, only recently has it been a subject of research in Greece. The purpose of this particular research, which has a sample of 1602 pre-primary and primary school teachers, is to investigate teachers’ viewpoints on the role of parents in the process of their children’s transition to primary school. Data has been collected through the use of questionnaires. Statistical analysis has shown that the overwhelming majority of teachers consider cooperation with parents as necessary. They indicate that the most important factors for successful transition are parents’ level of trust in teachers, their views on schools and learning, and their support for the new situation their child experiences. As far as the most appropriate practices are concerned, almost all teachers mention updating parents at the beginning of the school year, while many suggest that parents and children visit primary schools and that common meetings of both kindergarten and primary school teachers with parents take place before school begins. It therefore seems that teachers acknowledge the role of parents in the process of transition and suggest appropriate practices for their participation.

Over the past few years the processes of education informatization are tied with its digitalisation. The certain upgrades of electronic educational resources take place and the new era of learning tools – digital learning resources – is developing. The preference is given to the open educational resources that can work on any digital device, so they are digital educational resources. The article presents the experience of using the distance course “Digital Technologies for Teaching and Research” for primary school teacher training at State Higher Education Institution “Donbas State Pedagogical University”. The analysis of the practical use of the distance course and studying foreign scientific and methodological data sources proves the necessity of forming and developing the Next Generation of Digital Learning Environment (NGDLE). Five main functional domains of NGDLE are distinguished and analysed which ensure its full implementation: interoperability and integration; personalization; analytics, advising, and learning assessment; collaboration; accessibility and universal design. The model of digital learning environment for primary school teacher training is completely intuitive platform for integrating the virtual training of primary school teachers, conducting conferences and webinars, effective collaboration of scientists, university lecturers, university students and school teachers. The platform clusters are characterized (distance courses, digital teaching and learning resources, internet conferences, webinars, student and teacher e-portfolios, forum) which correlate with mentioned features of the Next Generation of Digital Learning Environment. It is proved that the Next Generation of Digital Learning Environment is developed due to evolving traditional learning management systems (LMS) and their similarity with the principles of open education and flexible personal learning environments.

At present, Pesantren has reformed its roles not only serving Islamic education for ordinary villagers, the sons of the middle-class Muslims, and aspiring religious scholars, but also functioning as center of trainings for Qur’anic schools teachers. Although Qur’anic schools and Pesantren are always popular, researches about them remain few. This study uncovered the role of Pesantren at semi-urban rural area of Banjarnegara Regency in Central Java in Qiro’ati and Iqro Qur’anic teacher training education as well as described the process of reconstruction of Islamic knowledge by Qur’anic school teachers. It was found out that there were three steps of reconstruction of knowledge, namely filtering, adaptation, and implementation. The article determines that elementary school is the first level in the process of obtaining general education for children and in their general intellectual, physical and social development. in practice, accordingly, it sets the task for professional education as well – to prepare future elementary school teacher as a social personality, capable of solving certain problems and tasks of professional activity under the conditions of mastering a system of skills and competences. The success of the pedagogical activity of an elementary school teacher implies a special preparedness in the institution of higher education – the formation of knowledge, skills and pedagogical competences aimed at the exercise of professional functions. Study of experience of foreign countries on the professional pedagogical training of elementary school teachers is an important condition for the formation of theoretical and methodological bases for optimization of the training of elementary school teachers in Ukrainian HEIs. An analysis of current approaches to the preparation of future primary school teachers in France, the United Kingdom and Japan makes it possible to highlight the trends that are characteristic of European and Japanese education, namely: training teachers in higher education, two-level education, student development taking into account socio-cultural features, forming in them the readiness for professional mobility, to study throughout their professional activity, creating conditions for internships abroad. Progressive ideas of foreign experience can be taken into account in the national practice of teacher training. Further scientific inquiries may be directed to the study of the content filling of the teacher training programs and the peculiarities of the organization of the educational process in the institutions of higher education of foreign countries. Learning and using the experience of other countries is one of the main methods of designing educational reforms in Ukraine. Using foreign experience will help to avoid many mistakes. In addition, the integration of Ukraine into the world and European educational spaces requires adaptation of national educational legislation to pan-European educational principles and practices. These include, in particular, the existence of certain standards of education and professional activity of teachers.

Abstract Currently, the Internet has become a part of the everyday life of human beings. The way of communication between people has changed and social networks are dominating in the lives of everyone. One of the most used social networks is Facebook, but besides that it is used for communication and entertainment, Facebook can also be used for learning. Therefore, the main issue of this paper is the use of Facebook for educational approaches by students and teachers. Case studies are the challenges of integration of Facebook in High Education in the municipality of Kumanovo in the Republic of North Macedonia in 2016. Special emphasis is devoted in usage of Facebook in schools as the main questions were whether students use Facebook to ask for help for assignments or any material, and do teachers use Facebook to post assignments and to communicate with students. To understand this, there are conducted two questionnaires, one to students and one to teachers and interviews with school principals, and finally responses of people who participated have been analyzed. The result is that by joining Facebook in education, students are more motivated to learn, Facebook helps students to learn by sharing knowledge with each other and by using Facebook at school, teachers will find it easier to inform students.
