The Effect of Treatment Using Stingless Bee Propolis Extract on Burn Wound Healing in Rattus norvegicus Burn would occurs as a result of direct or indirect fire burns, exposure to sunlight and chemicals. This study aims to analyze the effect of stingless bee propolis extract (Tetragonula fuscobalteata) on the burn wound healing of the back skin of Rattus norvegicus. An experimental research was carried out using the control and experimental groups. Twenty five R. norvegicus were divided into 5 groups: the negative control group was given 70% ethanol, the positive control group was given Bioplacenton® and 3 groups were treated with propolis extract with a concentration of 50%, 70% and 100%. Measurement of burn diameter was carried out every 2 days for 21 days. Data were analyzed statistically using the one way Anova method. The results of phytochemical screening showed that the stingless bee propolis extract contained flavonoids, phenolics, tannins and saponins. The test of the effectiveness of propolis extract against burn wound obtained a sig value of 0.00 (< 0.05). stingless bee propolis extract could heal burn wound in R. norvegicus. Luka bakar dapat terjadi akibat terbakar api secara langsung atau tidak langsung, paparan sinar matahari dan bahan kimia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh ekstrak propolis lebah tanpa sengat (Tetragonula fuscobalteata) terhadap penyembuhan luka bakar pada kulit punggung Rattus norvegicus. Metode yang digunakan merupakan penelitian true experimental menggunakan kelompok kontrol dan eksperimen. Dua puluh lima ekor R. norvegicus dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok: kelompok kontrol negatif diberi etanol 70%, kontrol positif diberi Bioplacenton®, dan 3 kelompok perlakuan ekstrak propolis dengan konsentrasi 50%, 70%, dan 100%. Pengukuran diameter luka bakar dilakukan setiap 2 hari selama 21 hari. Data dianalisa secara statistik menggunakan metode Anova satu arah. Hasil skrining fitokimia ekstrak propolis lebah tanpa sengat positif mengandung senyawa flavonoid, fenolik, tanin, dan saponin. Uji efektivitas ekstrak propolis terhadap luka bakar didapatkan nilai sig 0,00 (< 0,05). Ekstrak propolis lebah tanpa sengat dapat menyembuhkan luka bakar pada R. norvegicus.

Wound refers to partly damage or loss of body tissue. One way that has been used by the people in helping the process of wound healing is the use of medicinal plants, such as gotu kola (Centella asiatica). Gotu kola (Centella asiatica)  is kind of plant that found almost in all territories of Indonesia which functions as a cell revitalizing substance which quickens wound healing those are burnt, skin ulcer and to prevent keloid. This study is aimed to know the effect of giving gotu kola leaf extract (Centella Asiatica) against to the healing of the wound incision on male white rats (Rattus Norvegicus) wistar strain. This study is a pure experimental research using the randomized post test only control group design with the subjects are 30 male white rats (Rattus norvegicus) wistar strain that were divided into 3 groups, namely K1, K2, and K3. The incision wound were made on the back of all white rat in each group with a length of ± 2 cm and a depth of ± 2 mm. The wound in the negative control group (K1) was not given any substance; in the positive control group (K2) was given povidone iodine 10%; and in the treatment group (K3) was given gotu kola leaf extract at a dose of 37,5 mg/150 grBB. The study was done for 10 days. Furthermore, wound observation and monitoring is held. Then the results were processed by using One Way ANOVA. The result study of wound incision healing on male white rats (Rattus norvegicus) wistar strain shows that there is significant difference among the negative control group (K1), the positive control group (K2), and the treatment group (K3) on One Way ANOVA test which significant p-value are 0,027 (p < 0.05). The result of Post-Hoc LSD test also shows a significant differences among the K1 and K3 groups, and K2 and K3 groups which significant p-values are 0,011 and 0,038 (p < 0,05). From these results, it can be concluded that gotu kola leaf extract (Centella asiatica) effective on quickens wound healing of the wound incision on male white rats (Rattus norvegicus) wistar strain.

Background: Peperomia pellucida L'HBK or known as messengers in the Indonesian plant is a herbaceous plant that belongs to the family Piperaceae. This study aimed to determine the effect of the stem and leaf extract cream messengers to the healing process of burns in rats (Rattus norvegicus. Methods: This was an experimental study using a completely randomized design. Test animals were divided into three groups, each - each group consisted of 3 rats. The first group is the negative control group (distilled water), the second group is a positive control group (Bioplacenton®), the third group is the group treated stem and leaf extract cream errand. The diameter of the wound and fibroblasts observed histopathology and is used as an indicator of the healing process of burns. The burns were treated and observed the healing effect for 20 days. Data were analyzed statistically wound diameter using ANOVA followed by LSD test. Results: The results showed the cream extracts of stems and leaves telling effect on the healing process of burns on rats. Conclusion: The results also showed that the treatment group and the leaf stem extract cream messengers and control groups positively influence the healing process of burns significantly when compared to the negative control group. Meanwhile, the treatment group stem and leaf extract cream messengers have no preformance difference influence the healing process of burns a significant positive control group

Tooth extraction is a process of removing teeth from the alveolar bone. In wound healing, fibroblast are very important cells. The main purpose of this study was to determine the effect of mobe leaf 1% and 3% extract gel (Artocarpus lakoocha) on fibroblast proliferation in post extraction tooth socket wound healing. This research used 16 samples of wistar rats, divided into 4 groups, a positive control group, a negative control group and a 1% and 3% mobe leaf extract gel group. The left mandibular incisors were extracted, then 1% and 3% gels of mobe leaf extract were applied on day 1 to day 7. Data analysis was calculated using the Kruskal-Wallis test on clinical data and one way ANOVA test for microscopic. The result of the socket wound healing activity test for a good concentration of mobe leaf extract gel was 3%. This research shows significant resultith p-value of 0.018 (< 0.05) on the closure of the socket wound clinically which means the closure of the wound accelerates because of the mobe leaf 3% extract gel treatment. The distance of fibroblast on microscopically shows significant resultith a p-value of 0.002 (< 0.05), which means that there was an enlargement of the distance fibroblast at the socket wound closure with application of mobe leaf 3% extract gel. From the results of the study it can be concluded that mobe leaf 3% extract gel has the best ability to show acceleration the closure of the socket wound either clinically or microscopically.

Burn wound healing process consists of three phases of inflammation, proliferation and remodelling. The number of fibroblasts has increased during the proliferation phase. Oxidative stress in burn may disrupt proliferation through TGF-β inhibition, result in decreased number of fibroblasts and poor burn wound healing. Genistein in edamame seeds has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antioxidant properties. Edamame contains vitamins A, C, and E which is also have antioxidant properties. Edamame has been suggested to protect burn wound healing from oxidative stress. This study aimed to understand the effectiveness of edamame seed (Glycine max L. Merril) ethanolic extract (ED) to fibroblast count in second degree burn wound healing. This is true experimental research with post test only control group design. The sample of this research was 24 rat models of second degree burn which was made by attaching hot metal (60 ° C) for 5 seconds on the shaved back of the rats. The sample was divided into 6 groups with topical treatment, among others: positive control group (silver sulfadiazine), negative control group (Na CMC 0.5%), group with ED 20%, ED 40%, ED 60%, and ED 80%. Treatment was given for 15 days and skin sample was taken on the 16th day. Observation of the number of fibroblasts was done by taking pictures of histhologic preparations in Hematoxylin and Eosin staining under 400x magnification of light microscope. In one way ANOVA test, significance value of 0.011 (p≤0,05) indicated that there was at least a significant difference between 2 groups. LSD’s post hoc analysis showed that there was a significant difference in the group ED 20, 40, and 60% compared with negative control. Wound is considered as a serious health problem, because it can interfere with quality of life due to pain, weakness, and decreased mobility and quality of life. This study aims to determine the effect ofj jathropha multifida, linn to the number of PMN and selt mast in the process of wound healing in rats with acute injury models. This study is an experimental research laboratory using the design of post test control group design Wistar rats were used as research subjects. Based on Tukey HSD test results, the average number of PMN leukocytes third day the negative control group had no significant difference in the positive control group (0.037) and treatment group (0004). On the seventh day the number of PMN leukocytes negative control group had no significant difference in the positive control group (0.069) and had a significant difference to the treatment group (0.00). Meanwhile, on the fourteenth day the number of PMN leukocytes negative control group had no significant difference in the positive control group (0.000) and had a significant difference to the treatment group (0.00). Based on the results of data analysis Annova one direction on the third day obtained a significant level of 0:50 means there is no significant difference in the number of mast cells in each group on the seventh day. While on day three significant values ​​of 0:08 was also no significant difference, as well as on the fourteenth day found no significant difference between the group with a value of 0.68. Conclusions there was a decrease in the number of Leukocyte PMN in rat wounds given a 10% stem extract ointment, and there was a decrease in the number of mast cells in the wounds of rodents given a 10% stem extract ointment. Suggestions need to be investigated regarding the use of distance stem extract in various concentrations to obtain effective results for wound healing and the need to examine other factors related to wound healing.

 AbstractClover flower honey is a herbal therapy used as an alternative wound treatment. The objective of this study was to determine the effect of Clover flower honey in accelerating incision wound healing, enhancing reepithelization degree, increasing fibroblast density, and collagen. This was a true experimental research, using 25 mice divided into 5 groups (n=5); positive control group (feracrylum 1%), negative control group (aquadest), 100% honey group, 50% honey group, and 25% honey group. Wound healing activity was measured macroscopically with calipers, dan microscopically through pathological anatomy preparations to observe reepithelization degree and collagen density. This study showed wound incision lengths were different significantly between Clover flower honey 100%, 50%, and 25% compared to aquadest (p ≤ 0.05), and feracrylum 1% (p ≤ 0.05). Reepithelization degree, fibroblast and collagen density measurements between Clover flower honey 100%, 50%, and 25% were different significantly compared with aquadest (p ≤ 0.05), and only the 100% honey group was different significantly with feracrylum 1% (p ≤ 0.05). We concluded topical Clover flower honey administration accelerated wound healing, increased reepithelization degree, fibroblast density, and collagen degree.Keywords : wound healing, reepithelization degree, fibroblast density, collagen density, Clover flower honey

<p><strong><em>Introductions : </em></strong><em>Control</em><em>l</em><em>ing of blood glucose would be important </em><em>to prevent </em><em>many complications</em><em> of </em><em>DM.</em><em> Consuming fiber is one</em><em> way to maintain blood glucose </em><em>level</em><em>. These amount of fiber could be obtained in tofu fermented by <span style="text-decoration: underline;">Rhizopus sp</span>. This research aimed to know the effect of tofu fermented by <span style="text-decoration: underline;">Rhizopus sp.</span></em><em> in controlling </em><em> blood glucose level of diabetic induced white rats (<span style="text-decoration: underline;">Rattus norvegicus</span>).</em></p><p><strong><em>Methods : </em></strong><em>This research was a laboratoric-experimental study. The subjects were <span style="text-decoration: underline;">Rattus norvegicus</span>grouped randomly. The total 30 <span style="text-decoration: underline;">Rattus norvegicus</span> were injected by Alloxan 15mg/100gramBW, then</em><em> randomly allocated</em><em> into 5 group, positive control group (glibenclamide 0</em><em>.</em><em>05mg/100gramBW/day), negative control group (aquadest), and treatment groups with different doses of fermented tofu (</em><em>0.025gram/100 gramB</em><em>W</em><em>/</em><em>day; </em><em>0.050gram/100 gramBW/</em><em>day; </em><em>0.100gram/100gramBW/</em><em>day). The</em><em> research</em><em> design was </em><em>Pretest and Posttest Control Group Design</em><em>. Objective: Wound healing is a dynamic process that includes biochemical and physiological phenomena. Studies confirm that plants are used in wound healing to a great extent.  Antique oil (HBX 2371) has been produced as a traditional herbal mixed. This herbal mixture contains sesame oil, thyme oil, olive leaf, fig seed, grape seed, turmeric, and cinnamon. We evaluated traditional plant mixed oil ( Antique oil) for its wound-healing activity using an excision wound model in rats. Methods: The study used a preclinical, in vivo experimental, and analytical design. In the study, a total of 21 Sprague-Dawley rats, including 7 as experimental group, 7 as negative-control group, and 7 as positive-control group, were used. After the ischemic wound was created in experimental animals, the research data relating to the histochemical changes and biochemical parameters of the wound healing parameters were collected Results: A to research in experimental group fibroblast count, collagen density, fat cells, epithelization scores higher than the other groups and inflammatory cell density lower than the others. According to the results of the study, the highest TAC value (3.94 ± 0.21) was determined in the experimental group and results showed that antique oil administration decreased the TOC value. Conclusion: In conclusion, it was observed that antique oil prevented the wound changes induced by the incision, increased the repair of the epidermal and dermal structure in a short time, increased the antioxidant level, and decreased the oxidation level. Clinical studies are recommended.

Channa micropeltes is a local peatland water species which has been utilized as an alternative of Channa striata among South Kalimantan population to anticipate the scarcity of Haruan species. Channa micropeltes originate from the same family of Channa striata in which both fishes contain albumin. Albumin is proven to accelerate wound healing, thus can be produced as capsules. The capsulate form of Channa micropeltes extract will later be deployed as an alternative herbal medicine for the acceleration of mucosal wound healing. Nevertheless, a study of a hepatological profile is pivotal to assess the safety of its consumption. The present study aimed to analyze the effect of Channa micropeltes extracts capsulate oral administration at 0.7 g dosage on SGOT and SGPT level of Wistar rat liver. This was a real experimental study with post-test only and control group design. The samples comprised of 12 rats which were distributed into three groups namely a treatment group of 0.7 g Channa extract capsulate, a positive control group of 0.7 g Channa striata extract and a negative control group without any treatment for 28 days. The level of SGOT and SGPT were 19.41 IU/L and 29.52 IU/L in Channa micropeltes treatment group, 31.95 IU/L and 28.71 IU/L in the positive control group of 0.7 g Channa striata extract, 25.07 IU/L and 18.90 IU/L in the negative control group. Hence, there is no effect of Channa micropeltes extract capsulate oral administration at 0.7 g dosage on SGOT and SGPT level of Wistar rat liver.
