This research and development aims to determine the feasibility level of module learning media of grinding theory and to determine the effectiveness of basic grinding theory to the academic achievement of class XI students in the machining study program. The research methods is quantitative descriptive method. The results   validates the use of grinding theory module in learning activities. The average percentage from the quality of content, instructional and technical, is 91,25%. The effectiveness of basic grinding theory module can be seen from the improvement of students’ marks of 97.28% in average. The increase in the active participation is 33.3%.Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan media pembelajaran modul teori pemesinan gerinda dan mengetahui tingkat efektivitas modul teori pemesinan gerinda terhadap hasil belajar siswa teknik pemesinan kelas XI SMK Muhammadiyah Prambanan. Penelitian ini menggunakan langkah Research and Development dan metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil pada penelitian ini adalah media pembelajaran modul teori pemesinan gerinda dinyatakan layak digunakan untuk kegiatan pembelajaran dengan rerata persentase kelayakan kualitas isi, instruksional, dan teknis sebesar 91,25%. Efektivitas media pembelajaran modul Teori Gerinda Dasar dapat dilihat dari peningkatan rerata hasil belajar sebesar 97,28% dan peningkatan partisipasi aktif sebesar 33,3%.

Evaluation of Principal's Leadership Role in Improving Teacher's motivation at Yayasan Al Hidayah Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta. Thesis. Educational Administration Study Program. School of Postgraduate Study University of Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. HAMKA. August 2016. The purpose of this research was to obtain information and evaluate the effectiveness of Principal's Leadership Role at Junior High School and Vocational High School Al Hidayah in increasing motivation and expected to contribute in running the leadership wheel of the principal. The method used is a qualitative method with a discrepancy evaluation model (DEM). The approach used is a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques by observation, interviews, and FGD (forum group discussion). The results of this evaluation concluded that the Principal's Leadership Role had not run in accordance with the principal's leadership standards in carrying out its role. Many aspects and focus of evaluation require improvement and improvement to achieve maximum results in terms of Principal’s Leadership Role in carrying out its roles and functions. This research recommends to all parties involved to optimize the leadership role of the head of the school in carrying out their duties and functions optimally for the progress of the school or foundation.

The success of the student learning process is characterized by academic achievement. One of the factors that can affect academic achievement is the learning environment. This study aims to determine the relationship of the students’ perception on the campus learning environment and their GPA in school of medicine of Mulawarman University. This research is an observational analytic study with cross sectional method. The research respondents were students of the Medicine Study Program of the School of Medicine in Mulawarman University by using total sample technique. The method of data analysis used descriptive data analysis and the analytic data analysis used chi square test. There were 316 respondents who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria, male respondents were 91 people (28.8%) and female respondents were 225 people (71.2%). As many as 268 students (84.8%) had more positive than negative perception on the campus learning environment, while as many as 232 students (73.4%) got good category for the grade point. The results of the study obtained p=0.000. In conclusion, there is a relationship between student perceptions of the learning environment on campus with an grade point.

This research is aimed at finding the language learning strategy used by successful students that is categorized into six kinds of strategies; memory, cognitive, metacognitive, affective, compensation, and social strategy suggested by Oxford (1990). The population of the research are students of English study program University Bengkulu year 2014 and 2015 that have GPA 3.51 to 4.00. Methodology of this research is descriptive quantitative. Data were collected by using questionnaires as the instruments. The questionnaires consist of 50 items based on Oxford’s Strategy Inventory for Language Learning (SILL) version 7.0 about language learning strategy. The data were processed by using Microsoft Excel 2013 to find the most dominant strategy used by the students. The results showed that the successful students use more than one language learning strategy or mixed strategy, including memory, cognitive, metacognitive, affective, compensation, and social strategy. The dominant strategy used by successful students was metacognitive with mean score 3.94 followed by compensation (3.81), cognitive (3.59), social (3.43), memory (3.31), and affective strategy (3.30). Metacognitive strategies have positive and significant influence toward academic achievement on successful students in learning a language. Metacognitive strategies can help the students to develop good thinking management ability. It also create good academic achievement. In the other hand, the choice of lowest strategy seems to be affected by technology advances, curriculum, feelings, mood, and attitude of the students which is unpredictable.

This research describes the context of learning or lectures at academic achievement colleges known as achievement indexes (IP) and cumulative grade index (GPA). This is confirmed in the process standard operation (SOP) of Lectures and Curriculum with the number Un-11.JSOPP-04-02.R0 published by the North Sumatra State Islamic University Medan that Academic achievement is the result achieved by student guidance in study activities at the University North Sumatra State Islamic Medan as proof of the success that has been achieved after conducting learning or lecture activities. The results achieved by these students can take the form of subject values, Grade Point Average (GPA), championship rank, graduation grade, and completing studies on time. In the perspective of the study of academic achievement theory known as learning outcomes. The discussion of learning outcomes cannot be separated from the study of the concept of learning itself, because learning outcomes are obtained after going through the learning process carried out by students. This research carried out using a mixed method approach, which is a combination of qualitative and quantitative research. Qualitative research used is naturalistic, because it is based on the consideration that what is sought in this research is data that will describe and paint complex social reality in such a way that it becomes a concrete social phenomenon. The research situation chosen in this study was the academic achievement of students from high school and aliyah madrasa in the English Education Study Program at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training at North Sumatra State Islamic University Medan, covering a broad context, involving many actors, time different places, different processes and processes

The aim of the present study was to investigate the relationship between classroom environment and academic achievement of English Education Study Program students of State Islamic University of Raden Fatah Palembang by conducting correlational research. 366 students of English majors of the second, fourth, and sixth semester took part in the study as the sample by using convenience sampling. The data of this study were collected by administering a questionnaire of College and University Classroom Environment Inventory (CUCEI) to assess classroom environment of the students and the students’ cumulative GPA was also used to get the students’ academic achievement score. Pearson Product Moment and regression analysis were used to analyze the data. From the analysis, it was found out that the r was 0.296 and it was higher than r-table (0.1059) and the level of probability (p) significance (sig.2-tailed) was 0.000. It means that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. This result showed that there was a significant correlation between classroom environment and the students’ academic achievement. Additionally, the regression analysis showed that classroom environment contributed only 8,8 % to the students’ academic achievement.

 The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of implementing the hybrid learning model on civic education course. This study was classroom action research using a model developed by Kemmis andTaggart consisting of 2 cycles. This study was conducted at the second semester students of EducationAdministration Study program in academic year 2016/2017. The results of this study were (1) there is anincrease in students learning motivation towards the application of the hybrid learning model in civic education course of the Educational Administration study program which is indicated by the level of attendance of students in class, frequency of learning and activeness of students in discussions, asking questions and responding. These results are obtained through classroom observations and activity reports recorded on the learning portal. 2) The application of the hybrid learning model in the civic education course provides significant benefits to students’ motivation which is indicated by the average score of the results of the students questionnaire 3.80 categorized into "good category". 3) There is an increase in students learning outcomes in the civic education course which is originally 60.13 to 70.26.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dampak penerapan model pembelajaran hybrid pada kursus pendidikan kewarganegaraan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan model yang dikembangkan oleh Kemmis dan Taggart yang terdiri dari 2 siklus. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada mahasiswa semester dua program Studi Administrasi Pendidikan pada tahun akademik 2016/2017. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) ada peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran hybrid dalam kursus pendidikan kewarganegaraan dari program studi Administrasi Pendidikan yang ditunjukkan oleh tingkat kehadiran siswa di kelas, frekuensi belajar dan keaktifan siswa dalam diskusi, mengajukan pertanyaan dan menanggapi . Hasil ini diperoleh melalui observasi kelas dan laporan kegiatan yang dicatat pada portal pembelajaran. 2) Penerapan model pembelajaran hybrid dalam kursus pendidikan kewarganegaraan memberikan manfaat yang signifikan terhadap motivasi siswa yang ditunjukkan oleh skor rata-rata hasil angket siswa 3,80 yang dikategorikan ke dalam "kategori baik". 3) Ada peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dalam kursus pendidikan kewarganegaraan yang awalnya 60,13 menjadi 70,26.

This study was aimed at investigating the link between personal resilience and academic achievement. This study used correlational research method. 613 students of English Education Program Study in one state Islamic university in Palembang, South Sumatera were chosen as the population. Purposive sampling was used as a sampling technique which took 157 students as the sample. Furthermore, this study had two variables: students’ personal resilience and students’ academic achievement. The students’ personal resilience score was taken from questionnaire, while the students’ academic achievement in English was taken from their GPA documentation. The data was checked by using One Sample Kolmogrorov Smirnov Test by using SPSS to check whether the data were normal or not and for linearity, the data was checked by using One Way ANOVA Statistic analysis. From the data analysis, the correlation coefficient or the r-obtained (.211) was higher than r-table (0.1557). It means that p (0.0168) was higher than 0.05. In other words, there was significant link between students’ personal resilience and academic achievement. It implied that academic achievement was not affected by personal resilience dominantly.

<p>The use of mobile phone has been increasing nowadays in most part of the world and it has become the  phenomenon where people cannot live without. This study aims to reveal whether mobile phone use affects student’s academic achievement compared to other factors such as study program, student’s focus and gender. The frequent of mobile phone use and how excellence student’s academic performance will be analysed. A survey has been conducted to a large number of college students. A questionnaire was developed and delivered by online questionnaire to 513 students of Universitas Pertamina, Jakarta, Indonesia. Using Ordinary Least Square’s result statistical analysis, it can be concluded that gender and study program have significant effects to GPA, while the use of mobile phone and its effect of distracting student’s focus are not significant to GPA. Furthermore , female students significantly scored higher GPA result by 0.23 point than male students, cateris paribus. Then, students from social sciences have higher GPA results by 0.2 point than students from engineering sciences, cateris paribus. Generally, the results should be interesting for decision maker in academic field on how important to embrace mobile phone for learning style. </p>
