The sea transportation mode is a means or tool used by people to move from one place to another. Sea freight mode in DKI Jakara is expected to provide quality service to the users of the transportation services as well as the service users on board, other than that the passenger characteristics strongly affect passengers in choosing Mode of transportation. Based on the user data of traditional vessels majority of the female users differ from the Dishub ship of the majority of male users. The user's age for both ships is the majority of the age range of 21-30 years, including the majority work of students. The level of user earning both traditional and dishub vessels does not differ the majority have not been income according to the type of work. The purpose and frequency of user journeys of traditional vessels and dishub vessels are no different, with the purpose of the majority being a one-time recreation a year. The study aims to determine which variables will result in factors affecting the perpetrators and the probability of selecting the mode located in the Muara Angke port between the Dishub ship and the traditional vessel. Data processing uses the Serqual method to determine the number of samples from the population and SPSS program to find out the factors affecting the selection of the modes of traditional vessels of Dishub and vessels.

With the development of new shared transportation services, changes are occurring in the habitual consumption of these kinds of services, and it is expected that this trend will continue in the coming years. Given the rise of public bicycle-sharing systems (PBSS) and the increase in their use as a new mode of transportation in many cities, it is considered necessary to analyze and understand the main aspects that determine satisfaction with PBSS. This chapter proposes 10 aspects related to PBSS, grouped according to service infrastructure and other factors that are typical of this service. The results show that all the variables maintain a significant relationship with the established levels of satisfaction. In addition, it has been demonstrated that concessionaires and town halls must take special interest in the quality of the city's bicycles, bike lanes, and network of stations.

The mode of transportation that travels from Kupang City to Rote Ndao Regency is currently a mode of sea transportation and air transportation. This study aims to find out user information based on its mode choices and model it in the multinomial log function, besides that it's hoped that this result can be used as a reference in determining policies that improve functions and facilities for mobilizing people, goods and services carried out on the Kupang to Rote.Data analysis was carried out in two ways, namely with descriptive statistical analysis techniques to explain the characteristics of respondents and multinomial logistic regression analysis to create a model of mode transportation selection for Kupang-Rote service. The results of the study showed that users of transportation services from Kupang to Rote, generally men prefer to use ferry boats while women prefer to use fast boats. The characteristics of respondents is age 20-39 years. While the factors that influence the choice of transportation are the influence of luggage, weather and comfort. For the selection model, the probability of a speedboat is 34.65%,the probability of choosing a ferry is 42.96%, and the probability of choosing an aircraft is 22.3%.

Various legal issues that have surfaced to date cannot be separated from the development of information technology that has mastered the world map. People as consumers really need fast and cheap transportation services to transport people or goods to meet their daily needs. The presence of the Gojek and GrabCar application services is one of the solutions needed by the community at this time, but there is no legal umbrella that regulates people’s transportation services for motorbikes or motorbikes and the transportation of people or passengers to Gocar or Grabcar in private cars, causing various legal issues in its application. Legal issues that arise, are forms of legal protection for consumer users and dispute resolution due to default by one of the parties. The research method is empirical research by processing primary and secondary data, which are then analyzed qualitatively. Conclusions on the results of the discussion: a form of legal protection for consumers and drivers in the form of compensation or assistance in the amount of five to 10 million rupiahs for guaranteed protection for hospital fees and in the event of accidents and life insurance guarantees from AXA Group. The procedure for resolving a default by a Gojek-GrabCar application provider as a result of private law or civil relations is that the application service user as a party to the agreement can choose to take legal action (litigation) or peace/mediation/conciliation (non-litigation).

Transportation as a means of supporting economic development and community development and industrial growth needs to get the main attention when conditions enter the New Normal Era because Indonesia is still experiencing a high level of spread where the mode of transportation used by many people can be a medium of spreading the COVID-19 virus. The purpose of this research is to provide legal protection to passengers by the carrier as an effort to care about the safety, comfort, safety of passengers as users of transportation services that the carrier must protect by adjusting existing regulations and in its implementation required supervision from the Government and the public. This research is normative legal research that uses a legislative approach and is sourced from primary legal materials. The data was collected by studying libraries sourced from primary, secondary, and non-legal legal materials. The research results prove that the legal protection of passengers by the carrier can run well if the passengers consciously adhere to the Health Protocol and comply with government rules as a form of effort to maintain all transportation elements with all activities. So these efforts have an impact on preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus that is increasing in Indonesia.

Various factors must be considered when running a courier service in an urban area, because the infrastructure of a city differs from those in suburban or countryside areas. Of note, population density is higher, and vehicles encounter greater restrictions. Moreover, air pollution from fossil fuel combustion is more severe. As tailpipe emissions are becoming costly to both corporations and the environment, researchers are increasingly exploring more appealing transportation options. Electric bicycles have become an important mode of transportation in some countries in the past decade. Electric bicycles and automobiles have their respective merits and demerits when used to provide courier services. E-bikes in particular can ply their trade in densely packed areas that are off-limits to cars and trucks. This paper focuses on (1) developing a truck–bike mixture model to reduce operating costs for an existing truck-only service by replacing some of the trucks with bicycles, and (2) exploring the resulting effects in terms of reducing overall carbon emissions. Data from one of the major courier companies in South Korea were utilized. The problem was tackled as a heterogeneous fleet vehicle routing problem using simulated annealing because the actual size of the problem cannot be solved directly with a mathematical approach. The most effective fleet mix was found for the company’s case. Effects on operating costs and reduced emissions were analyzed for 15 different scenarios with varying demands and off-limits areas. Computational results revealed that the new model is viable from economic and sustainability standpoints. They indicated that costs decrease to varying degrees in all scenarios, and that carbon emissions also decrease by around 10% regardless of the selected scenario.

Traffic jam caused by a lots of vehicles which parked on the road has always been a problem on urban roads. The lack of parking facilities out of the road and a lot of generation due to public facilities such as bank, restaurants, pharmacies, shops, and health center, will have an impact on traffic jam on the Imam Bonjol road section. This research aim for determine the magnitude effect of parking on street to the road performance of the Imam Bonjol street. The data needed includes, highway geometric, collecting data obtained from the results of the surveys is data on traffic volume, side barriers, parking on the road data and speed data. The parking survey methods using plat number methods and the data was analysed using the MKJI 1997 calculation method. The results of this research indicate that parking on the road is affected the performance of the imam bonjol street. the amount of traffic volume on saturday at 20.00 - 21.00 WITA is 3034 vehicles/hour. Side barriers values obtained is 560.7 friction/hour with high conditions typical is commercial areas, high activities on the road side, so the value of capacity dropped from 4576 smp/hour before parking, to 2533 smp/hour after parking on the road. The value average speed of light vehicle on Saturdays for the west to east is 24,42 km/hour, while the east to west is 23,94 km/hour. In 2018 the DS value is 0.65 with the level of service C. Whereas in 2023 the performance increased to DS = 1,23 with the level of service F.

The function of the public urban and suburban passenger transport (PUPT) system as a transport activity is to provide transportation services in a certain urban area. By using new solutions in traffic demand management in small and medium-sized cities, which do not have an efficient PUPT system, in combination with paratransit systems, we can significantly increase the combined mobility of the population, reduce the use of passenger cars, reduce the need to build new roads, and take full advantage of the PUPT system. This paper presents the traffic demand management tools by which these effects can be achieved.
