Based on individual interviews with young people in Finnmark who have quit or taken a break from upper secondary education, this article addresses the relationship between attachment to place and perception of time. Finnmark is the largest and least populated county in Norway, located in the far North, with only 10 upper secondary schools. The article’s theoretical basis is a criticism of two different forms of universalisms: i) the metrocentrism in youth research and ii) normative deadlines for completion of education. As globalisation creates inequalities and changes in access to work, the article argues that it is important to examine how such changes affect young people’s perspectives and opportunities in different places. Access to localized capital, i.e. networks, embodied knowledge and reputation, can be a differentiating factor for young people’s job opportunities and lack thereof. When norms for rapid completion of education that apply to university-oriented career paths are generalized, the existence of alternative learning arenas and qualification trajectories are overlooked. Sensitivity to the young people’s material and embodied experiences, enables a richer analysis of how young people need to handle conflicting logics between attachment to place and completion of formal education elsewhere.

Methodology: Research population was all female teachers who teach to the student of 2nd year in high schools of Isfahan 6 educational areas (1475 individuals). From among this population, 260 individuals were selected based on Cochran sample mass in a multi-step cluster sampling. Research instruments were organizational justice questionnaire by Colquitt (2010) and job involvement questionnaire proposed by Kanugo (1983). Based on Cronbach's Alpha, the stability of these questionnaires was 80% and 90% for psychological assets and teachers work involvement, respectively. The data were then analyzed using descriptive and deductive statistic including Pierson correlation test, step to step regression. Main Findings: Results of this study show that there exists a positive, meaningful relation between organizational justice and 4 of its dimensions (procedural, distributional, personal and informational) and job involvement. (p<0.01) results of the multi-regression analysis indicate that organizational justice and 2 dimensions of that (procedural and interpersonal ones) have got the most power to predict teachers' job involvement. Implications: Results of this study can enrich the knowledge about the relationship between perceived organizational justice and job involvement in female teachers of the high school. This cross-validated study focuses on the stability and replicability of the relationship between self-concept as measured by the Tennessee Self-concept Scale and job-related attitudes as measured by the Purdue Teacher Opinionnaire. A significant canonical correlation was obtained for the two sets of scales using two groups of 195 classroom teachers and accounted for 25% of the common variance. Canonical variate weights show that teachers derive greater emotional support from job satisfaction than from teachers' salary, school facilities, or rapport of teachers and principal. Given the clear sample-to-sample congruence, the conclusion is that the two instruments have a moderate relationship and that the opinionnaire shows some promise as a valid indicator of teachers' self-concept.
