Pembahasan ini dilatar belakangi oleh pemikiran bahwa pendidikan bukan sekedar proses transformasi ilmu, akan tetapi pendidikan merupakan proses pembentukan karakter dan penanaman akhlak mulia. Pendidikan tidak mesti diperoleh di sekolah maupun di lingkungan masyarakat tetapi pendidikan juga bisa berasal dari sumber informasi antara lain novel. Novel tidak mesti berisi fiksi tetapi ada yang berisi pembelajaran tentang nilai-nilai pendidikan akhlak. Novel Negeri 5 Menara karya A. Fuadi diasumsikan mempunyai pesan pembelajaran tentang nilai-nilai pendidikan akhlak. Karena itu, fokus pembahasan ini adalah ingin mengungkapkan nilai-nilai pendidikan akhlak apa saja yang terdapat dalam Novel Negeri 5 Menara karya A. Fuadi. Diharapkan hasil pembahasan ini dapat menambah apresiasi dalam menangkap nilai pendidikan akhlak dalam karya sastra, novel. The background of this research is that education is not only process of knowledge transformation but also aims for the character building and inculcation of noble morals. Education not only be found in schools and in the community but also can be found in literatures such as novels which may serve as learning media. The purpose of this research is to study �The Values of Moral Education� in a literary The Novel of Negeri 5 Menara (The Novel of Land of 5 Towers) by A. Fuadi. �The Novel of Negeri 5 Menara is chosen because it is assumed to contain moral education. This research focuses to reveal the values of moral education in the Novel of Negeri 5 Menara by A. Fuadi. It is to be expected that this research can increase appreciation in apprehend moral education in literary novels.

This study aims to describe the thoughts of K.H. Bisri Mustofa’s moral education in the books of Mitro Sejati and Ngudi Susilo and its relevance with the development of character building in Indonesia. To describe the concept of moral education in the aforementiod books, content analysis was used to grasp the main messages of the books. The finding showed that the thoughts of K.H. Bisri Mustofa’s moral education were relevant with the development of character building proclaimed by the government. The relevancyecould be found in the foundational thinking about moral education contended by K.H. Bisri Mustofa and character education in Indonesia, encompassing the importance of humanism in social interaction, moral degradation among adolescents, and the erosion of Eastern culture by Western culture.  Relevance was also found in the five main character values ​​that were prioritized in the implementation of the development of character building in which each value is relevant to KH. Bisri Mustofa. These values ​​include religious, integrity, nationalist, independent, and mutual cooperation.

This study aims to gain an in-depth understanding of educational values in the novel Madogiwa No Totto-chan by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi with a qualitative approach that includes educational values in terms of the structure of the novel. Research methods. This research is a library research or library research that uses a qualitative approach with content analysis techniques. Conclusion of research findings: The main theme of this novel is EDUCATION, education that frees students to be creative, while the sub-theme is education must be adjusted to the development of the child's personality. The credentials found are: A mother must be wise in educating and caring for her children with special needs. A school principal or a teacher should be a leader who is brave to act in accordance with their respective beliefs and life principles. The educational values in this novel can be used as examples of learning in schools to help children with problems (special needs). An educator should be fun and not scold his students because educating children is not with anger but with advice, praise, and trust. Make kids confident, responsible, love each other, and help each other, introduce them to nature because nature stores various sources of knowledge. Educational values found are educational values related to religious education values, moral education values, social education values, and beauty education values. Recommendation: Madogiwa No Totto-chan's autobiographical novel (Totto-chan Little Girl in the Window) can be used as a learning tool for character education in schools in Indonesia because this Japanese novel has raised educational values that contain a number of noble values. One of the noble values is the value of education in the novel that abstracts the reality of Japanese society's life. This paper begins the discussion by examining the genealogy of al-Ghazali's thinking, then discussing ideas about his education, to attract its relevance to the current practice of moral education. There are several important points that are the result of this discussion; First, that al-Ghazali's intellectual journey in the search of truth is a very dynamic intellectual dialectic, although in the end, he overrides the ability of reason in seeking the ultimate truth, he has really optimized the role of reason by placing it in a very special position. Second, for al-Ghazali that the estuary of all educational activities is to get closer to Allah. Thus, among the reasons that made al-Ghazali identified as a conservative goalkeeper. Third, however many criticisms of al-Ghazali's concept of education, many of his ideas are still relevant today, especially in matters of character building and moral education.

The problems raised in this study are related to the analysis of educational values ​​in the novel Cahaya di Atas Cahaya by Oki Setiana Dewi. The educational aspects studied include aesthetic (beauty), moral, religious and social aspects. The purpose of this research is to describe the value of education in the novel Cahaya di Atas Cahaya by Oki Setiana Dewi and to find out the dominant value and its relevance in the reader's life. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The results of data analysis that have been carried out on the novel Cahaya di Atas Cahaya by Oki Setiana Dewi which is studied from its educational values, both aesthetics (beauty), moral, religious and social, strongly indicate the existence of educational values ​​that are beneficial to readers and connoisseurs of literature in particular. novelist. The value of education in the aesthetic education aspect tells about the beauties of real work as reality based on God's truth. The value of education, especially moral education, such as being devoted to parents, positive thinking in all things faced, not being arrogant and selfish, and always being able to care for others and not being arrogant towards something you have and being able to control yourself in any situation. Educational values ​​in the aspect of social education include always thinking positively towards others, needing each other, knowing hostility, having courtesy, always forgiving others mistakes, and being able to understand differences in beliefs. The value of religious education is such as the attitude of always being patient in dealing with endless problems, having good morals and ethics.

This research focuses on the role of Al Muhajirin Orphanage in Palu City in building religious character of children reviewed from Islamic law. This research used qualitative research method through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation study. The data obtained were analyzed using data reduction technique, data presentation, data verification, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that: (1). The caregivers' efforts in building the religious character of children were strongly supported by the situation and condition of Al Muhajirin Orphanage marked by the stay of foster children in the dormitory, so that religious-based character building could be performed optimally. The religious-based character values that were developed including being religious, disciplined, like to read, caring for the environment, responsible, and honest. The implementation of religious-based character formation aims to make a person as a good human being. The forms of implementation of character education are manifested by cultivating the faith, providing guidance, providing good role models, enforcing rules, providing advice, motivation, and conducting supervision (2). Islamic law review of the role of caregiver included educating, teaching, and training. Educating means transmitting and developing the values of life/personality. Teaching means transmitting and developing science and technology. While, training means developing skills in foster children based on QS. Al-Kahfi [18] 66-70. Meanwhile, character building in Islam is the same as moral education and it is also a purification of the soul and character of humans to become righteous humans based on the Quran and hadith.

ملخص البحث: تتناول هذه الدراسة البنية الفنية في رواية "Mandala Dunia Kedua" بمعنى (في إطار العالم الثاني) للكاتب الماليزي عزيزي الحاج عبد الله وتهدف إلى إظهار إبداعية الكاتب في صياغتها في روايته. تعتمد الباحثة في هذه الدراسة على الوصف والتحليل؛ إذ تقوم بتحليل العناصر الفنية الموجودة في الرواية المختارة مع التنويه بمظاهر الإبداع الفني فيها، أمثال: العنونة، والاستهلال، وبناء المكان والزمن، ورسم الشخصيات، والصراعات، وبناء الأحداث، والحبكة الفنية، والأساليب السردية، واللغة والحوار، والصور البيانية، والنهاية التي تختم الرواية. تحاول هذه الدراسة الإسهام في إثراء الدراسات النقدية في الأدب الماليزي، جنباً إلى جنب أنها تسهم في تعريف هذا النوع من الآداب لمجتمع العرب. ومما توصّلت إليه الباحثة من خلال هذه الدراسة أن الكاتب استخدم عنواناً مجازياً كما أنه وفّق في رسم الشخصيات وبناء الأحداث، على الرغم من أن الحبكة الفنية للرواية مفككة. ومن التقنيات السردية التي لجأ إليها الكاتب ضمير الغائب، والوصف، والاسترجاع، والتداعي، والحذف، والرسالة. وجدت الدراسة أيضاً أن الكاتب وظّف الصور البيانية كالتشبيه والمجاز والاستعارة في روايته بشكل واسع، كما أنه قارن الحياة الاجتماعية التي تعيش فيها كل من الأشجار والحيوانات بالحياة الاجتماعية التي يعيش فيها الناس المدنيون. وهذا يومئ إلى أن الكاتب دعا القراء إلى التأمل في حياة الأشجار والحيوانات وطبائعها بشكل غير مباشر.   الكلمات المفتاحية: الرواية –عزيزي الحاج عبد الله–البنية–المجتمع الملايوي.     Abstract   This study undertakes the aesthetical structure in the novel “Mandala Dunia Kedua” by a Malaysian writer Azizi Haji Abdullah that aims to identify his creativity in constructing his novel. The study is descriptive and analytical; it analyses selected aesthetical elements in the novel while explaining the creative features contained in them namely: the titling, the introduction, spatio-temporal construction, character building, conflicts, events formulation, plot development, narrative style, language and dialogue, imageries and the ending. This study intends to enrich critical studies in Malay literature while introducing this indigenous work to the Arabic reader. Among the conclusions of this study: the writer uses a figurative title and has successfully building the characters and developing the events, although that the plot seems to be scattered. Among the narrative techniques used by the writer are: third person pronoun, description, flashback, deconstruction, omission and message. He also use analogy and metaphor extensively. He also compares the ‘social’ life of trees and animal with that of civilized human, an implicit invitation to human to look into the life of these creations. Keywords: Novel – Azizi Haji Abdullah – Aesthetical Structure – The Titiwangsa Montain Range – Malay Society     Abstrak Kajian ini menumpukan kepada struktur estetika dalam novel “Mandala Dunia Kedua” oleh penulis Azizi Haji Abdullah dan bertujuan untuk mengenalpasti kreativiti beliau dalam membangunkan novel beliau. Kajian ini adalah deskriptif dan analitikal; ia menganalisa beberapa unsur estetika terpilih dalam novel tersebut sambil menerangkan beberapa unsur kreatif yang terdapat padanya seperti; penjudulan, pengenalan, pembinaan aspek masa dan tempat, pembinaan watak, konflik, formulasi kejadian, perkembangan plot, stail naratif, bahasa dan perbualan, gambaran dan pengakhiran. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menambahkan lagi kajian kritikal dalam sastera Melayu di samping memperkenalkan karya tempatan kepada pembaca Arab. Di antara dapatan kajian ini ialah: penulis menggunakan judul yang figurative dan telah dengan jayanya membina watak dan mengembangkan kejadian, walaupun plotnya kelihatan berterabur. Di antara teknik naratif yang digunakan oleh penulis ialah: gantinama ketiga, perincian, imbasan kembali, dekonstruksi, pemadaman dan mesej. Beliau juga menggunakan perbandingan dan perlambangan secara meluas. Beliau juga membandingkan aspek sosial hidupnya pokok-pokok dan haiwan dengan kehidupan manusia; satu pelawaan yang tersirat kepada bangsa manusia agar melihat kehidupan kejadian-kejadian ini. Kata kunci: Novel – Azizi Haji Abdullah – Struktur Estetika – Banjaran Titiwangsa – Masyarakat Melayu.

Character education is closely related to moral education, which is to shape and train individual abilities continuously for self-improvement towards a better life. Novel is a literary work that can convey the values of character education. The research aims to analyzing the values of character education in the novel 5 cm by Donny dhirgantoro. This research is a qualitative study using a descriptive design method. the data analysis technique by reading the entire data, analyzing the data in more detail and restating the data by described and interpreting the data. The result of this study are the value of character education  contained in the novel “ 5 cm” by Donny Dhirgantoro, namely, religious, hard work, love to read, friendly and communicative, social care,  and love  the homeland.

Abstract : Character education plays an important part because it is not only about moral and value education. It has a higher significance of moral education, because it not only teaches what is right and what is wrong. More than that character education inculcate the habit (habituation) about good things and wrong, can feel (affective domain) good value and used to do (behavioral domain). So the character education linked closely associated with persistent habits practiced or implemented. It is commonly believed that the practices of English language teaching always accompanied by the insertion of foreign cultural values which are not always in line with Indonesia cultural values. The aim of this study is to improve students’ writing skill through integrating local culture material. Therefore this study focuses on designing and evaluating teaching writing material for English department students of University Muhammadiyah Metro. The result of this study shows that students have big interest and motivation in writing a text based on their local culture. The students also get moral value and character building through the material. It influences the students’ character in their daily life. Students become more polite, honest, diligent and religious.                                                                                                        Keywords: local culture, character education, writing.

This article aims at relating Ibn Miskawaih’s concept of character building to modern concept of character building. In Islamic history, Ibn Miskawai>h has succeeded in formulating the concept of moral guidance. His concept is a blend of historical and practical study. Ibn Miskawai>h and modern scientists have at least two things in common. Therefore, Ibn Miskawai>h’s moral education concept is relevant to the modern character education. Abstract: This study aimed to understand how tawhid education in Al-Islam Islamic boarding school Tenggulun, and how tawhid implement in moral education to build santri character and how far tawhid and moral relevance in character building and its effect to santri. This study was qualitative, the primary data from this study obtain from literature study, utterances, action, and documentation from institution, directure, head master, teacher staff and santri in Islamic boarding school. The implementation of this study indicated that tawhid education through moral education give strong effect on character building of santri. The effects are tawhid become main basis of education in building character of santri to be moslem who knows their God’s purpose and apply it in every life aspect and ready to preach and fight for Islam; has storng character of tawhid; has understanding of aqidah ahlu sunnah wal jama’ah; has strong spirit to preach; has obvious aqidah wala’ and baro’; has akhlaqul karimah; and apply it to society. Keywords: Implementation, Tawhid, Moral, Character Building, Al-Islam Lamongan
