The problems raised in this study are related to the analysis of educational values ​​in the novel Cahaya di Atas Cahaya by Oki Setiana Dewi. The educational aspects studied include aesthetic (beauty), moral, religious and social aspects. The purpose of this research is to describe the value of education in the novel Cahaya di Atas Cahaya by Oki Setiana Dewi and to find out the dominant value and its relevance in the reader's life. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The results of data analysis that have been carried out on the novel Cahaya di Atas Cahaya by Oki Setiana Dewi which is studied from its educational values, both aesthetics (beauty), moral, religious and social, strongly indicate the existence of educational values ​​that are beneficial to readers and connoisseurs of literature in particular. novelist. The value of education in the aesthetic education aspect tells about the beauties of real work as reality based on God's truth. The value of education, especially moral education, such as being devoted to parents, positive thinking in all things faced, not being arrogant and selfish, and always being able to care for others and not being arrogant towards something you have and being able to control yourself in any situation. Educational values ​​in the aspect of social education include always thinking positively towards others, needing each other, knowing hostility, having courtesy, always forgiving others mistakes, and being able to understand differences in beliefs. The value of religious education is such as the attitude of always being patient in dealing with endless problems, having good morals and ethics.

This study aims to gain an in-depth understanding of educational values in the novel Madogiwa No Totto-chan by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi with a qualitative approach that includes educational values in terms of the structure of the novel. Research methods. This research is a library research or library research that uses a qualitative approach with content analysis techniques. Conclusion of research findings: The main theme of this novel is EDUCATION, education that frees students to be creative, while the sub-theme is education must be adjusted to the development of the child's personality. The credentials found are: A mother must be wise in educating and caring for her children with special needs. A school principal or a teacher should be a leader who is brave to act in accordance with their respective beliefs and life principles. The educational values in this novel can be used as examples of learning in schools to help children with problems (special needs). An educator should be fun and not scold his students because educating children is not with anger but with advice, praise, and trust. Make kids confident, responsible, love each other, and help each other, introduce them to nature because nature stores various sources of knowledge. Educational values found are educational values related to religious education values, moral education values, social education values, and beauty education values. Recommendation: Madogiwa No Totto-chan's autobiographical novel (Totto-chan Little Girl in the Window) can be used as a learning tool for character education in schools in Indonesia because this Japanese novel has raised educational values that contain a number of noble values. One of the noble values is the value of education in the novel that abstracts the reality of Japanese society's life. <p><em>Educational values are closely related to literary works. Literary works (including novel) always reveal good values that are beneficial to its readers. Educational values can also be referred to a message. The element of message becomes the idea underlying the creation of the literary works. It is expected to be interpreted by the readers to be used as educational values as well as social control that can be used as a guide to interact in real life. Therefore, the aim of the study was to describe the educational values contained in the novel </em><em>Uhibbuka Fillah (Aku Mencintaimu Karena Allah) </em><em>by Ririn Rahayu Astuti Ningrum with the approach of literary sociology. Data collection techniques were documentation techniques. </em><em>The data were analyzed using the</em><em> content analysis. </em><em>The results showed that</em><em> the educational values found in the novel </em><em>Uhibbuka Fillah (Aku Mencintaimu Karena Allah)</em><em> by Ririn Rahayu Astuti Ningrum consisted of religious, moral, social, and cultural. (1) The values of religious education, encompassing about loving all things must be due to Allah, having resignation, increasing the knowledge of religion, accustoming to fasting and sunnah prayer, covering aurat, and ghadhdhul bashar (holding sight). (2) The values of moral education, including about obedience to parents, good morals, sincerity and honesty. (3) The values of social education, including about love to orphans, help, and keep promises to others. (4) The value of cultural education is about the palace building that has implied meaning. The findings are very well used as the example in shaping positive values in real life.</em></p><p> </p><p>Nilai-nilai pendidikan sangat erat kaitannya dengan karya sastra. Setiap karya sastra yang baik (termasuk novel) selalu mengungkapkan nilai-nilai luhur yang bermanfaat bagi pembacanya. Nilai-nilai pendidikan dalam karya sastra dapat disebut juga sebagai amanat atau pesan. Unsur amanat atau pesan menjadi gagasan yang mendasari diciptakannya karya sastra tersebut. Hal tersebut diharapkan dapat ditafsirkan oleh pembaca agar bisa dijadikan sebagai ilmu atau nilai pendidikan sekaligus kontrol sosial yang bisa dijadikan pedoman berinteraksi dalam kehidupan yang nyata. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai pendidikan yang terkandung dalam novel Uhibbuka Fillah (Aku Mencintaimu Karena Allah) karya Ririn Rahayu Astuti Ningrum dengan pendekatan sosiologi sastra. Data dalam penelitian kualitatif deskriptif ini berupa kata, kalimat, atau wacana yang bersumber dari novel Uhibbuka Fillah (Aku Mencintaimu Karena Allah) karya Ririn Rahayu Astuti Ningrum. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik dokumentasi, simak, dan catat. Analisis data dilakukan dengan content analysis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa nilai-nilai pendidikan yang ditemukan dalam novel Uhibbuka Fillah (Aku Mencintaimu Karena Allah) karya Ririn Rahayu Astuti Ningrum terdiri dari nilai pendidikan agama, moral, sosial, dan budaya. (1) Nilai-nilai pendidikan agama, mencakup ajaran untuk mencintai segala sesuatu harus karena Allah, tawakkal hanya kepada Allah, mendalami ilmu agama, membiasakan puasa dan sholat sunnah, menutup aurat, dan ghadhdhul bashar (menundukkan atau menahan pandangan). (2) Nilai-nilai pendidikan moral, mencakup ajaran untuk taat dan patuh kepada orang tua, berakhlak baik, berbuat tulus dan jujur. (3) Nilai-nilai pendidikan sosial, mencakup ajaran untuk mencintai anak yatim, tolong menolong, dan menepati janji kepada orang lain. (4) Nilai pendidikan budaya antaranya mengenai bangunan keraton yang memiliki makna tersirat. Dari keseluruhan nilai-nilai pendidikan yang terdapat dalam novel ini, sangatlah baik digunakan sebagai contoh dalam membentuk dan menanamkan nilai-nilai positif dalam kehidupan nyata</p>

<p>ABSTRAK<br /> <br /> Penelitian ini menganalisis nilai pendidikan dalam novel Ranah 3 Warna karya Ahmad Fuadi yang meliputinilai pendidikan agama, moral, adat/budaya, dan sosial. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan nilaipendidikan novel Ranah 3 Warna karya Ahmad Fuadi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Datayang digunakan berupa kutipan langsung maupun tidak langsung dari teks novel Ranah 3 Warna karya Ahmad Fuadi.Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah studi pustaka dan observasi. Instrumen penelitian ini adalahpeneliti sendiri. Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode analisis isi. Penyajian hasil analisis menggunakan teknikpenyajian informal. Hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa tema novel Ranah 3 Warna karya Ahmad Fuadi adalahperjuangan Alif demi meraih impian dan cita-cita dengan segala keterbatasan. Nilai pendidikan dalam novel Ranah 3Warna ada empat, yaitu nilai pendidikan agama meliputi beribadah, berdoa, bersyukur, tawakal, ikhlas, dan sabar,nilai pendidikan moral meliputi tekad kuat, pantang menyerah, sungguh-sungguh, kerja keras, rajin belajar, mampumengendalikan diri, disiplin, jujur, tanggung jawab, kreatif, nasionalisme, percaya diri, dan prasangka baik, nilai<br />pendidikan adat/budaya meliputi melestarikan kesenian tradisional dan melestarikan budaya berpantun, nilaipendidikan sosial meliputi tolong-menolong, berbakti kepada orang tua, setia kawan, persahabatan, kasih sayang,memberi semangat, dermawan, musyawarah, dan rela berkorban.</p><p>Kata Kunci: nilai pendidikan, karya sastra, novel</p><p>ABSTRACT <br />This study analyze the value of education in the novel Ranah 3 Warna Ahmad Fuadi's work which includes the value<br />of religious, moral, custom/cultural, and social education. Data collection<br />techniques in this research are literature study and observation. The research instrument is the researcher himself.<br />Data analysis was performed using the content analysis method. Presentation of analysis results using informal<br />presentation techniques. The results of this study concluded that the theme of the Ranah 3 Color novel by Ahmad<br />Fuadi was Alif's struggle to achieve dreams and ideals with all limitations. There are four educational values in the </p><p>Ranah 3 Color novel, namely the value of religious education including worship, prayer, gratitude, trust, sincerity,<br />and patience, the value of moral education includes determination, unyielding, earnestly, hard work, diligent learning,<br />being able to control self, discipline, honest, responsibility, creative, nationalism, self-confidence, and good prejudice,<br />the value of traditional / cultural education includes preserving traditional arts and preserving the culture of rhyming,<br />the value of social education includes help, helping, serving parents, loyal friends, friendship, compassion,<br />encouragement, generosity, deliberation, and willing to sacrifice.</p><p>Keywords: educational values, novel</p>

This study aims to analyze self-actualization and educational values contained in Sintha Rosse's Dendam si Yatim Piatu novel based on Abraham Maslow's humanistic psychology. The research method used was descriptive qualitative method and content analysis technique. The results showed: 1) Self-actualization was found to be more dominant in this novel as much as 65.08% while the value of education was 34.91%. The 14 characters who show self-actualization are found all in this novel. The most dominant self-actualization is focusing on achievement targets (13.52%), the second most is social awareness (13.09%), independence (9.23%), spontaneity, simplicity, and fairness (9.01%). rewards that are always new (8.80%), interpersonal relationships (8.80%), creativity (6.87%), democratic (6.01%), self-acceptance (5.79%), independence (5.58 %), peak experience (4.29%), observing reality efficiently (3.43%), a meaningful sense of humor (3.00%), and the need for privacy (2.58%). 2) The dominant educational value is the value of moral education (37.20%), followed by the value of social education (29.60%), the value of divine education (24.40%), the value of cultural education (5.60%), and the value of aesthetic education (3.20%). Through this novel, the author provides an example through self-actualization of the main character, maximizing all efforts, developing talents, potential, never giving up in achieving goals and achieving the desired success so that life becomes more meaningful. In addition, the author also conveys good values so that readers can wisely take lessons from them which are expected to be applied in everyday life.

This research aims to describe the structure of the text and the meaning of the poetry on the book Ta'līmu Al-Muta'allīm by Burhānuddīn Az-Zarnūji. This research will be analyzed through structural and Roman Ingarden's strata of norm approach which reveals about educational values. This descriptive qualitative research employs observation and note technique as a method of data collection, in which the researcher records data in the form of verses in the Ta'līmu Al-Muta'allīm book, especially those in chapter 5. The poetry data found, is analyzed by using data triangulation. The results of the research show that the text structure of the poetry of the book Ta'līmu Al-Muta'allīm by Burhānuddīn Az-Zarnūji consists of five layers, including 1) sound layer, 2) meaning layer, 3) layers of things that are stated, 4) the world layer, and 5) the metaphysical layer. Meanwhile, the educational values contain in the meaning of the poetry include the values of religious education, the values of moral education, the values of social education, the values of cultural education, and the values of aesthetic education.

This article is the result of research that aims to explain the representation of Islamic educational values ​​in the Katoba tradition of the Munanese community. The object of observation is Katoba ritual. In-depth interviews were conducted with informants from the Katoba tradition practitioner which called imamu, academics, researchers, traditional and cultural leaders, educational practitioners, community leaders, and youth leaders. Provision of research data sourced from the results of recording, field notes and documents. This study found that the representation of the values ​​of Islamic education in the katoba tradition of Munanese community consists of the value of aqidah education, the value of religious education, and the value of moral education.   Abstrak: Artikel ini merupakan hasil penelitian yang bertujuan untuk menjelaskan representasi nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam dalam tradisi Katoba pada masyarakat etnis Muna. Objek pengamatan adalah pelaksanaan ritual Katoba. Wawancara mendalam dilakukan dengan informan pengamal tradisi katoba yang disebut imamu, akademisi, peneliti, tokoh adat dan budaya, praktisi pendidikan, tokoh masyarakat, dan tokoh pemuda. Penyediaan data penelitian bersumber dari hasil pencatatan, catatan lapangan dan dokumen. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa representasi nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam dalam tradisi katoba masyarakat etnis Muna terdiri dari nilai pendidikan aqidah / tauhid; nilai pendidikan agama; dan nilai pendidikan pendidikan moral.

AbstractThis study aims at explaining the symbols used in the novel and describing the values of optimistic of life reflected in the symbols used in Coelho’s The Alchemist. This research is classified as a descriptive qualitative method. The primary data source of this study is the novel The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. The collecting data process is a note-taking technique. This study is also categorized as library research. Based on the findings and discussion, the researcher draws the conclusion such follows. First, there are six elements or values which characterize someone as the one who has an optimistic view of life and these ones are reflected as the symbols used in this novel. They are the values of hope, faith, power, struggle, positive-thinking, and respect. Second, that there are twelve symbols used in The Alchemist, those symbols are divided into three groups which consist of four symbols of characters, two symbols of events or concepts and six symbols of things. The result of the study shows that the twelve symbols in The Alchemist are how the author addresses Optimistic through a story of self-quest of the author. According to the whole finding, the symbols lead the readers to understand the message of Paulo Coelho that everybody can find their happiness in themselves.  Keywords: Concept of optimistic of life, Symbol, Self-quest. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan simbol-simbol yang digunakan dalam novel dan menggambarkan nilai-nilai optimistis kehidupan yang tercermin dalam simbol-simbol yang digunakan dalam Coelho's The Alchemist. Penelitian ini diklasifikasikan sebagai metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data primer dari penelitian ini adalah novel The Alchemist karya Paulo Coelho. Proses pengumpulan data adalah teknik mencatat. Penelitian ini juga termasuk penelitian kepustakaan. Berdasarkan temuan dan diskusi, peneliti menarik kesimpulan sebagai berikut. Pertama, ada enam elemen atau nilai-nilai yang mencirikan seseorang sebagai orang yang memiliki pandangan hidup yang optimis dan yang tercermin sebagai simbol yang digunakan dalam novel ini. Mereka adalah nilai-nilai harapan, iman, kekuatan, perjuangan, pemikiran positif, dan rasa hormat. Kedua, bahwa ada dua belas simbol yang digunakan dalam The Alchemist, simbol-simbol itu dibagi menjadi tiga kelompok yang terdiri dari empat simbol karakter, dua simbol peristiwa atau konsep dan enam simbol benda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua belas simbol dalam The Alchemist adalah bagaimana penulis membahas Optimistic melalui kisah pencarian diri penulis. Menurut seluruh temuan itu, simbol-simbol itu mengarahkan para pembaca untuk memahami pesan Paulo Coelho bahwa setiap orang dapat menemukan kebahagiaan mereka dalam diri mereka sendiri. Kata kunci: Konsep optimistis kehidupan, Simbol, Self-quest.

Abstract: This study aims to describe and explain: (1) the struggle forgender equality of female characters in Ratih Kumala's novel KretekGirl, and (2) educational values in Ratih Kumala's novel Kretek Girl.This type of research is qualitative research. This study used descriptivequalitative method. Qualitative descriptive method is a researchprocedure that produces description data in the form of words. Theresearch data is a novel by Kretek Girl by Ratih Kumala.This study usesa feminism approach to describe the profile of female characters, thestruggle for gender equality, and the sociological approach of literatureto find out about the social conditions of the community in RatihKumala's novel Kretek Girl. The data collection technique used in thisstudy was to read the entire contents of the novel and document analysis.The results of this study are as follows: (1) The struggle for genderequality of female leaders in Ratih Kumala's novel Kretek Gadis isagainst forms of gender injustice in the form of (a) stereotypes, (b)marginalization of women, (c) subordination of work, and (d) internalviolence household. (2) Ratih Kumala's novel Kretek Girls educationalvalues include: (a) the value of religious education that emphasizesbetween humans and God, (b) the value of social education refers to therelationship of individuals to other individuals in a society (c) the valueof education morals that relate to the good or bad of human behavior,and (d) the value of cultural / customary education that is related totradition, people's habits.

This study aims at explaining the symbols used in the novel and describing the values of optimistic reflected in the symbols used in Hemingway’s The Old man and The Sea. This research is classified as a descriptive qualitative method. The primary data source of this study is the novel The Old Man and the sea by Ernest Hemingway. The collecting data process is note-taking technique. This study is also categorized as library research. Based on the findings and discussion, the researcher draws the conclusion such follow. First, it is found that there are eight symbols used in this novel. They are classified into Individual symbol and Universal symbol. In the novel the Old Man and the Sea the symbols which the researcher considers as individual symbols. Individual symbols are the old man as a symbol of someone who has optimistic, Manolin as a symbol of hope, Marlin as a symbol Struggle of life, Shark as a symbol of Destruction and problem, joe Di Maggio as a symbol Strong desire, bird as a symbol of help. The second category is Universal symbol. universal symbol are Sea as symbol of universe, Lion as symbol of strength. there are two elements or values which characterize someone as the one who has optimistic life which is reflected in the symbols used in this novel.
