Long beans (Vigna sinensis L.) are a vegetable plant as a source of vitamins and minerals. Long beans (Vigna sinensis L.) are also a type of legume that is widely cultivated in Indonesia. Gunung Selamat Village is one of the villages with a variety of agricultural crops, one of which is long beans (Vigna sinensis L.). However, this community service was carried out because of the many problems faced by farmers, which caused the growth of long beans (Vigna sinensis L.) to decline. The decline in production was caused, among others, by climate, soil, fertilizers, pests and diseases. Therefore, this community service is carried out to increase plant growth and reduce the use of synthetic fertilizers that can damage the soil ecosystem, therefore it is given the treatment of sprinkling liquid organic fertilizers on the soil and spraying vegetable pesticides from pepaya leaves to prevent pests and diseases that attack long bean plants (Vigna sinensis L.). This treatment was designed to see the results of the growth rate response in long bean plants (Vigna sinensis L.).

Time series of mean monthly temperature and total monthly precipitation are two of the climatic variables most easily obtained from weather station records. There are many studies analyzing historical series of these variables, particularly in the Spanish territory. In this study, the series of these two variables in 47 stations of the provincial capitals of mainland Spain were analyzed. The series cover time periods from the 1940s to 2013; the studies reviewed in mainland Spain go up to 2008. ARIMA models were used to represent their variation. In the preliminary phase of description and identification of the model, a study to detect possible trends in the series was carried out in an isolated manner. Significant trends were found in 15 of the temperature series, and there were trends in precipitation in only five of them. The results obtained for the trends are discussed with reference to those of other, more detailed studies in the different regions, confirming whether the same trend was maintained over time. With the ARIMA models obtained, 12-month predictions were made by measuring errors with the observed data. More than 50% of the series of both were modeled. Predictions with these models could be useful in different aspects of seasonal job planning, such as wildfires, pests and diseases, and agricultural crops.

Over a 5 year period, we examined the influence of substrate and fertilization on nursery growth and outplanting performance of Norway spruce (Picea abies (L.) Karst.). We focused on the relative growth and development of roots and shoots and the colonization intensity and diversity of ectomycorrhizal (ECM) fungi. In the nursery, a conventional substrate (low-humified Sphagnum peat) supplemented with woody material (wood fibre and pine bark) and either mineral or organic fertilizers yielded shorter seedlings than those grown on the unmodified substrate. However, after outplanting, the growth rate of seedlings cultivated on modified substrates was higher than that of seedlings grown on the unmodified substrate. Seedlings cultivated in modified substrates had significantly higher root/shoot ratios and ECM diversity; the latter remained significant after ≥3 years of outplanting. Seedlings grown on a substrate containing 50% woody material and supplemented with organic fertilizer had the highest growth rate among all seedlings during the 3 year period of outplanting. Colonization intensity of ECM fungi was high in all seedlings except for those grown in heavily fertilized substrate. This study suggests that nursery techniques that produce seedlings with higher root/shoot ratios and ECM diversities could improve plantation success and growth rate for at least the first 3 years of outplanting.

Fertilization is an action in plant care. Fertilization provides additional nutrients for the soil. Fertilization has a large influence on plant growth and production. Fertilization consists of organic and inorganic fertilizers. Both of these fertilizers must be balanced so that the nutrient content can be maintained properly. The use of fertilizers an organic fertilizer that is widely used, but the use of chemical fertilizers on an ongoing basis will reduce the level of soil fertility. This must be balanced with organic fertilizer. One of the organic fertilizer is guano fertilizer. This fertilizer is fertilizer made from animal waste, namely bats. This fertilizer has a very good content including nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. Knowledgethis fertilizer will still be low, so that an introduction and practice about guano fertilizer is needed. Therefore a community service activity was carried out on the development of the manufacture of guano fertilizer. Guano fertilizer development is carried out in the form of granules (granules). The targets of this service are vocational students who are related to agriculture. Vocational students are selected as the young generation to know about organic fertilizers and are able to contribute to the implementation of the agricultural industry. Community service activities were carried out with a presentation of the theory and practice of making guano fertilizer. As a result of this activity, students learned about organic fertilizer, namely guano fertilizer and its contents, nutrient content in the soil, balance in maintaining nutrient content in the soil, the practice of making guano fertilizer, and the creation of granule form from guano fertilizer.

Community service (PKM) is an integral part of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education which in its implementation is inseparable from the other two dharmas, and involves all members of the academic community: lecturers, students, education staff and alumni. Through PKM the academic community can be present in the midst of the community. The location of Nurul Ihsan Foundation is sufficient to enter the village, so that not many people know of its existence. Even though the Foundation has been established since 1994. Besides educational activities (pesantren), Nurul Ihsan Orphanage also organizes skills training for foster children and the surrounding community to cultivate talents and provide them with certain skills for the future. The number of activities above, the need to continue to develop skills is a matter that has always been championed by the management of the Nurul Ihsan Orphanage Foundation and other institutions. To meet these needs, strategic marketing management counseling is carried out so that the name Nurul Ihsan Foundation is increasingly known to the wider community. It is hoped that more donors will continue to help fulfill the education of the students and orphans at the Nurul Iksan Foundation. One solution that resulted from this outreach was about marketing media and marketing personnel that must be owned by the Nurul Iksan Foundation. PKM with the title: "Counseling Strategic Marketing Management in the Development of the Nurul Iksan Foundation" in general went smoothly and impressively. The students and the foundation's management were very enthusiastic in listening to the explanation of the material provided. This is illustrated by the many questions raised and two-way discussions that occur. The enthusiasm continued when the session reviewed cases related to marketing media. Keywords: Marketting Management, Promotion Media ,Development.

It was established on the basis of longstanding field surveys that the usage of mineral and organic fertilizers containing the increased pus portion during crop rotation in the arid submontane – steppe zone leads to the rising of the labile phosphorus contents in the soil. Method of tillage, turnover and mixing factor influence in part the phosphate rate because the allocation of plant rests and fertilizers in the soil depends on them. When using longstanding nonmoldboard tillage the growth rate of phosphorus contents in the soil in the upper layer is less than the rate of drawdown of this element in the lower layer.

In the development of vegetable farming by the community, there are fundamental problems which are generally carried out conventionally with the use of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides to determine the success of their farming. With the farming system, the community suffers a lot of losses because the inputs used are relatively expensive and on the other hand the products become cheap because the quality is not guaranteed. The solution to this problem is to develop bio-culture organic fertilizers and bio-urine whose raw materials are available in the region. The partner village development program aims to conduct training on the making and development of liquid organic fertilizer bio-culture and biourine to support the cultivation of organic vegetables. The method of approach applied is technology transfer (TT) and entrepreneurship capacity building (ECB) which is carried out with the Participatory Rural Approach (PRA) approach ) which in its implementation uses the method of lecture/discussion, training, making demo plotting, and assistance. The results achieved in the implementation of this program were that participants were able to make and develop liquid organic bioculture fertilizers and biourin and apply it to their farms as an alternative to chemical fertilizers

The large number of rice fields in Borikamase Village, resulting in high production of hay, requires an appropriate effort to use straw into organic fertilizer or bokashi which is environmentally friendly as well as safe for plants. The use of straw into bokashi or organic fertilizer needs to be taught to the farming community, so the community service team focuses on providing assistance and training to the community in utilizing straw as a raw material in making bokashi by using microorganisms as the source of fermentation. In addition, the high price of synthetic fertilizers on the market makes farmers in Borikamase Village feel heavy in providing nutritional supplies to their agricultural areas, so that this training is expected to help farmers by obtaining fertilizers that are cheap, safe, and of good quality to fertilize. The existence of biotechnology applications, provides the right solution in overcoming the damage to bald mountains and the scarcity and high price of synthetic fertilizers, namely by processing straw into bokashi or organic fertilizers with high nutrient content and are safe for the environment. In addition, providing knowledge and skills for farming communities as agents of reform in restoring ecosystem balance through the application of bokashi made of straw on rice fields. The study was conducted for exploration of physico-chemical parameters and ionic constituents of groundwater used in irrigation of four upazilas namely Tangail Sadar, Kalihati, Delduar and Nagarpur upazila of Tangail district during the months of March, April and May of 2015. The physico-chemical parameters (pH, EC and TDS), ionic constituents (Ca2+, Mg2+, Na+, K+, Cl-, CO32-, HCO3-, PO43- and SO42-) and trace metal (Fe and Mn) were analyzed to assess the quality of irrigation in relation to soil properties and crop growth. The pH of groundwater indicates slightly alkaline in nature. As regards to EC the groundwater was in ‘good’ class and medium salinity hazards in quality for irrigation and the concentration of TDS indicates water as fresh water. The concentration of Ca2+, Mg2+, Na+, K+, Cl-, CO32-, HCO3-, PO43- and SO42- of groundwater were recorded within the permissible limit for irrigation and these ions might not create hazardous impact on soil ecosystem for growing crops. The trace amount of Fe and Mn was detected in irrigation water. In the study area, the groundwater was within the recommended limit and would not create problem for irrigation and that have not long term effects on irrigating agricultural crops which could be safely used for irrigation purposes.Res. Abstract Crop protection procedures have existed since the first attempts at early agriculture. While cultivation of a vast range of crops is vital our existence, these same plants are highly attractive to a diverse range of invertebrate and vertebrate pests, and disease pathogens. Competition from weed species also occurs on a worldwide scale. Even with the many forms of crop protection practised today, losses due to pests and diseases range from 10 to 90%, with an average of 35-40% for all potential food and fibre crops (Peshin, 2002).
