The purpose of this research was to examine the potention of using resveratrol of grape seed meal to increase average daily gain. The material used in this research are 60 layer poultry of 0-60 days. Resveratrol of grape seed meal devided in several level were p0 = commercial feed withouth Resveratrol of grape seed meal, P1 = commercial feed +  0.012 % Resveratrol of grape seed meal, P2 = commercial +  0.018 % Resveratrol of grape seed meal, P3 = commercial feed + 0.024 % Resveratrol of grape seed meal. Layer poultry were allotted to four level treatments randomly into P0, P1, P2, P3. Three replications each. The variables observed was of increase average daily gain. Data were analyzed by using Completely Randomized Design, when there was significant effect it was followed by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test. The result of this research showed that the use of resveratrol of grape seed meal doesn’t differ reality (P>0,05). But in the numeric showed P2 (12.85 ± 0.30) was better than all treatments p0 (12.27± 0.30), P1 (12.49 ± 0.08), p3 (12.71 ± 0.12).

<p>The objective of research were to evaluate grading up program of Boer buck and Ettawa grade goat (EGG) doe at Village Breeding Centre (VBC) Dadapan village, Sumberejo subdistrict, Tanggamus regency by studying growth performance EGG, Boerawa grade 1 (BG1), and Boerawa grade 2 (BG2). Survey method was used in this research. Recording for growth performance of 525 heads EGG, 450 heads BG1, and 175 heads BG2 possessed by Karya Makmur III farmer group that was member of the VBC. Variables observed were body weight and body measurements at birth, weaning, and yearling. Data was analysed by analysis for variance of Completely Randomized Design for one way lay out. Difference of mean were analysed by Duncant’s Multiple Range Test. The average of birth weight of EGG (2,79±0,66 kg) were lower than that of BG1 (3,22±0,64 kg), however that of BG1 were not different with BG2 (3,02±0,89 kg). The average of weaning weight of EGG (18,28±0,053 kg) were lower than that of BG1 (19,89±5,72 kg) however that of BG1 were not different with that of BG 2 (19,67±1,54 kg). The average of yearling weight of EGG (39,89±7,26 kg) were lower than that of BG1 however that of BG1(43,49±6,15 kg) were not different with BG2 (42,27±2,12 kg). The absolute preweaning and postweaning average daily gain (ADG) of EGG, BG1, and BG2 were not different. Relative preweaning ADG of EGG (7,95±0,69%) were higher (P&lt;0.05) than that of BG1 (3,57±0,14%) and BG2 (4,77±0,64%) however that of BG1 were not different with BG2. Relative postweaning ADG of EGG (0,60±1,31%) were higher than that of BG1 (0,37±0,01%) and BG2 (0,43±0,07%). Average of postweaning ADG of BG1 and BG2 were different (P&lt;0.05). Its conclusion that growth performance of BG2 have not optimum.</p>

The aims of this study was to determine the Supplementation Moringa Leaves Powder (Moringa oleifera) in Ration on Performace of Super Village Chicken. Used 96 DOC super village chicken. The experiment was designed into completely randomized design with 6 treatments and 4 replicates. Treatments consisted of (P0) Moringa leaves powder 0% in Ration , (P1) Moringa leaves powder 2% in Ration, (P2) Moringa leaves powder 4% in Ration, (P3) Moringa leaves powder 6% in Ration, (P4) Moringa leaves powder 8% in Ration, (P5) Moringa leaves powder 10% in Ration. The parameters were feed consumption, average daily gain, feed conversion and mortality.. The data were analyzed by statistical product and service solution (SPSS 16.0) and significant effect among treatments were tested by Duncan’s multiple range test. the result showed that the Supplementation Moringa Leaves Powder were significant (P<0.05) in feed consumption and average daily gain. the conclusion of this experiment was that Supplementation Moringa Leaves Powder (Moringa oleifera) in Ration to 10% not influenced performance and mortality of Super Village Chicken.Keywords: Moringa Leaves Powder (Moringa oleifera). This work aimed to determine the nutrient intake and quantitative aspects of sheep carcass from three different genetic groups. Eighteen animals with initial average body weight of 20.1kg were used in a completely randomized design, in a factorial 3x2 scheme (three different crossbreeds - 6 F1Dorper x non defined breed, 6 F1Somalis x non defined breed and 6 F1Santa Inês x non defined breed versus two diets). The diets fed to the animals were formulated with or without cashew nuts. The inclusion of cashew nut meal in the diet influenced nutrient intake. Differences of intake among the animal groups were observed as higher intake for F1Dorper x non defined breed (NDB), followed by F1Somalis x NDB and for F1Santa Inês x NDB. However, the control diet produced no difference among these genotypes. The average daily gain was lower for both crossbreeds when cashew nut meal was added in the diets. The evaluated crossbreeds and diets did not affect the feed:gain ratio. The carcasses analyses showed that the inclusion of cashew nut meal in the diets reduced the cold carcass weight and the rib weight. The addition of cashew nut meal in the diets for lambs reduces food intake and carcass yield. The crossbreed F1Dorper x NDB presented the higher rate of average daily gain.

Abstract: Fish growth descriptions constitute the parameters which are influenced by internal and external condition. The external factors include water quality, feed quality and feed quantity. Feed quality including the simpicia papaya particle size which contains protease enzyme and saponin as additional ingredients for grouper feed. Currently, grouper’s growth is relatively low, when in fact the protein content of its feed is high. This research aims at obtaining data on charachter particle of papaya simplicia powder and the grouper’s absolute weight and grouper’s protein efficiency ratio which is fed with simplicia papaya powder. The research is conducted using Completely Randomized Design with 5 treatments and 3 repetitions (A: 60 μm simplicia papaya 3.5% application, B: 100 nm simplicia papaya 3.5% application, C: 60 μm simplicia papaya 2% application, D: 100 nm simplicia papaya 2% application, and E: 0% without simplicia papaya). Simplicia papaya powder was made from dried papaya, then mashed using disc mill and filtered with sieves measuring 60 μm and 100nm and the grouper cultivation is done in a Floating Net Cage in Pangandaran Regency. The addition of papaya simplicia at A and B to the grouper’s feed has some highest average daily gain by 3.70 % and 3.73 %. The characteristics of simplisia papaya powder size 60 μm and 100 nm do not have a different effect on the growth performance of grouper seeds.

<p>The experiment was conducted to determine the effect of CPO protected with formaldehyde on digestibility and performance of thin tail sheeps. Fifteen local male lambs aged 9-12 months, were divided into 3 groups of ration treatment. The first group received only the basal ration (R0), the second group received the basal ration and 3% CPO (R1), while the third group received the basal ration and 3% CPO protected with 2% formaldehyde (R2). The data were analyzed by Completely Randomized Design with oneway pattern. The different of treatments were tested by Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test. The results showed that addition CPO protected with formaldehid (R2) in the sheeps diet did not affect dry matter and organic matter intake, dry matter and organic matter digestibility, average daily gain (ADG), but significantly (P&lt;0.01) increase feed conversion rate. It can be concluded that CPO protected with formaldehyde gives more advantage on feed conversion aspect.</p><p>(Key words: Thin tail sheeps, Crude palm oil (CPO) protected with formaldehyde, Digestibility, Performance)</p>

S. alba leaves and A. lanata leaves are forages that grow in mangrove ecosystems which are considered potential to support the performance of goat jawarandu. This study aims to determine the effect of the leaves of S. alba and A. lanata on the performance of jawarandu goats. This research was conducted in Environment XII of Seberang Fishermen Village, Belawan I Village, Medan Belawan District, Medan City. The study lasted for 3 months, starting in July to October 2019. The research method was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 4 replications so that there were 12 male goats that were kept with an average initial body weight of 14.65 ± 1.65. The treatments given were leaves of S. alba and A. lanata with a ratio of P1 (100: 0); P2 (50:50); and P3 (0: 100). The research parameters are Feed Consumption, Average Daily Gain , and Feed Conversion. The results showed that the utilization of the S. alba and A. lanata leaves had a significant effect on feed consumption and average daily gain, but did not significantly effect on  feed conversion. It can be concluded that the utilization of S. alba leaves gives a greater effect on the performance of goat jawarandu compared to A. lanata leaves or combination feed.

Abstract Freshwater culture commodity such as sangkuriang catfish (Clarias sp.) has high sufficient demand. One way to fullfil necessity of sangkuriang catfis demand is accelerate the growth. The aim of this research is to determine the present effect of different probiotics on commercial feed towards growth and feed efficiency of sangkuriang catfish. The research using experimental method, using Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Sangkuriang catfish kept in 30 days with four treatments and five replications, that is P1 (control), P2 (5% probiotics A), P3 (5% probiotics B), and P4 (5% probiotics C). The obtained data were processed by Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and followed by Duncan Multiple Range Test if there was significant data. The result showed that different probiotics giving significant effect to growth rate and feed efficiency (p<0,05). The best sangkuriang catfish (Clarias sp.) growth rate is P2 treatment 2,88% ± 0,38, and the lowest is P1 treatment at 1,73% ± 0,7. The best feed efficiency is P2 treatment at 54,69% ± 9,67 and the lowest is P1 treatment at 30,27% ± 12,65

The objective in this study was to evaluate the effects of supplementation levels on productive and nutritional performance and metabolic profile in suckling female calves under grazing. Forty female calves (averaging 3.5±0.06 months and 127.3±2.68 kg), and their respective dams were distributed in a completely randomized design with two treatments and twenty replicates. The treatments were 1) 4 g kg-1 body weight (BW) of supplement or 2) 6 g kg-1 BW of supplement. Forage and organic matter (OM) intake did not affect (P > 0.05) by levels of supplement, though crude protein and non-fibrous carbohydrates intake were greater (P < 0.05) by increasing supplementation level. There was no effect (P > 0.05) the supplementation levels on OM and CP digestibility. The metabolic profile of the animals was not affected (P > 0.05) by supplementation level. Average daily gain, longissimus dorsi area, fat thickness over rump of the animals did not affect (P > 0.05) by levels of supplement. However, there was trend of increasing (P=0.074) in fat thickness over loin by increase the supplementation level. Although the body growth of animals was similar (P > 0.05) between treatments, there was observed a trend of increase (P=0.064) in ratio BW:Height at the withers by increasing supplementation levels. In conclusion, increasing the supplementation level of 4 to 6 g kg-1 of BW, not improve the productive and nutritional performance and metabolic status in female calves under grazing on creep-feeding system.
