Abstract:This article shows a recent study made to explore the use of learning strategies and the development of professional skills in a group of students of the Bachelor of Education (Primary). We used a qualitative method with mixed methods techniques for collecting the data which involved a group of freshman students who were taking the "curriculum and educational system" class at that time. For data collection, we used two questionnaires to get a general idea of the use of their learning strategies and the development of their professional skills. Furthermore, 7 students were interviewed to gather more information about their particular use of learning strategies and the development of their professional skills. Results show a high level of motivation among students and a use of learning strategies mainly to pass exams, in which they seem to show high anxiety levels. Students seem to undervalue theoretical concepts and expect to learn everything needed to be a good teacher in practical assignments. Regarding their professional skills, results show a good development of ethical values and poor knowledge of abilities to gather information and make judgments. Using obtained results, we elaborated a proposal for students, to improve the use of learning strategies and focus on developing all the general professional skills needed in the next years of study.

The article considers an approach related to determining the level of motivation of the violator to commit a particular illegal act with respect to the resources of the organization. The proposed approach can be applied by the security services of the enterprise in relation to employees both when hiring and in the process of work in order to identify a high level of motivation to commit an illegal act and to implement various measures to neutralize or minimize this level. The level of motivation directly affects the potential of the violator and the probability of the threat implementation, since not only the presence of protective equipment on the object or the presence of modern means of attack on the violator leads to the implementation of the threat. First of all, it leads to the interest in the commission of this act, the motivation and goals that the violator pursues.

Abstract This study explores the use of Vocabulary Learning Strategies (VLSs) by Jordanian undergraduate students majoring French as a Foreign Language (FFL) at Jordanian universities. The vocabulary learning strategies (Memory, Determination, Social, Cognitive, and Metacognitive) were used in this study following Schmitt’s taxonomy. A five-point Likert-scale questionnaire containing 37 items adapted from Schmitt’s (1997) Vocabulary Learning Strategies Questionnaire (VLSQ) administered to 840 FFL undergraduates randomly selected from seven Jordanian universities. The descriptive analysis showed that the participants of the study regardless of their year of study were medium strategy users overall. The results revealed that Memory strategies were the most frequently employed strategies, whereas the Social strategies were the least frequently used ones. Although the participants were medium strategy users, the results of the VLSQ disclosed that some individual strategies were employed at a high level. Accordingly, detecting these strategies will be beneficial to language instructors to improve effective vocabulary teaching techniques and to motivate language learners to use them more frequently.

A comprehensive examination of 213 interns of both sexes was carried out. A system of psychotherapeutic correction of maladaptive states and psycho-preventive support of interns during the period of professional training has been developed. Levels of adaptation of internship doctors for professional activity were emphasized: high (14,1 %), average (20,2 %) and low level (65,7 %). It was described the asthenical (25,8 % of men and 22,5 % of women), hypersthenic (20,6 % of men and 23,2 % of women), anxiodepressive (11,3 % and 20,6 % respectively), psychosomatic (14,5 % of men and 18,1 % of women), asthenic-apathetical (12,3 % and 11,2 % respectively) and addictive (15,5 % of men and 4,4 % of women) variants of maladaptive reactions among the internship doctors. The developed model of the formation of disorders of adaptation of internship doctors is presented by a complex of pathogenic factors. It was established that the basis for the formation of maladaptive reactions among the internship doctors is the presence of somatic pathology, craniocerebral injury and neuroinfection in the anamnesis and the tendency to addictive behavior. Prognostically important factors in the formation of adaptation disorders are conflicts of family and professional relations, disturbing suspiciousness, low communicativeness, difficult working conditions, lack of positive emotions, awareness of inadequate level of competence, low level of motivation, and imperfectiveness of mechanisms of psychological protection. Triggers for the development of maladaptive states are the high level of professional stress, depletion of adaptation, prolonged mental stress, frustration of significant basic needs, and high rates of clinical scale of anxiety and depression HDRS. An individualized three-stage system of medical and psychological support during the professional training period, which involves the application of complex psychodiagnostic, psychotherapeutic, psychoeducational and psychoprophylactic influences, has been developed and tested.

This study aims to find the representation of feminist discourse in the Najwa Notes program entitled “Women in the Shihab Family”. The Shihab family is known as a family that has a high level of religious knowledge with the figure of M. Quraish Shihab in it. The negative stigma against women, which is always associated with religious narratives, is an important point to see how women from the Shihab family view freedom. The aspect of freedom in this event is illustrated by the motive for this event, namely as a reflection of Kartini Day, which is known as the inspiration for the rise of women in a patriarchal culture. This study uses a qualitative method with a feminist discourse approach to Sara Mills. This research found that women in the Shihab family uphold the principle of independence without sacrificing their duties in the domestic sphere. For them, women need to have self-confidence, be able to make their own decisions, be empowered to be able to overcome obstacles in themselves to progress, and be of benefit to those around them. This narrative then deliberately provided stimulation for women in Indonesia who became the object of the story of the women of the Shihab family. Readers who are in the wider community are given the doctrine of freedom through joint production efforts between the writer and the reader so that they are indoctrinated to believe in and apply the messages contained in the program.

AbstractIn this work, we investigate different machine learning-based strategies for denoising raw simulation data from the ProtoDUNE experiment. The ProtoDUNE detector is hosted by CERN and it aims to test and calibrate the technologies for DUNE, a forthcoming experiment in neutrino physics. The reconstruction workchain consists of converting digital detector signals into physical high-level quantities. We address the first step in reconstruction, namely raw data denoising, leveraging deep learning algorithms. We design two architectures based on graph neural networks, aiming to enhance the receptive field of basic convolutional neural networks. We benchmark this approach against traditional algorithms implemented by the DUNE collaboration. We test the capabilities of graph neural network hardware accelerator setups to speed up training and inference processes.
