The article raises the problem of the need to take into account real dimensions when they are strengthened by wave deformation. The fact is that in carrying out initial calculations the overall dimensions of the models under study are quite often neglected. On the one hand, this makes it possible to significantly simplify the calculation of the flat model, and on the other - to exclude consideration of the influence of geometric dimensions of the sample on the process to be followed. This is especially relevant in the study of shock systems in which wave processes lie. The effect of the final samples on the hardening process should not be excluded. This is because the elastic-stic deformation pattern has its own features. Hardening is carried out due to transmission of energy in the form of deformation wave, which is transformed on all gras with variable acoustic rigidity, including on boundaries, which are final dimensions of the analysed sample. Preliminary studies have developed a significant effect on the process of wave deformation hardening of geometrical dimensions of the material to be treated, since at equal volumes of strengthened materials and processing modes different distribution of microassay in the surface layer is observed. The established algorithm of further research of the given direction will allow not only to reveal the regularities of through strengthening of samples of different shapes and sizes, but also to establish the possibility of contactless de-formation strengthening of the sides of the sample opposite to the impact of the HRD, which have a complex profile shape, as well as the possibility of contactless deformation strengthening of internal hard-to-reach surfaces.

Previously it was defined that geometrical dimensions of material worked have a significant impact upon the process of wave deformation strengthening, as at equal volumes of strengthened samples and processing modes there are observed different cards of micro-hardness in surface layers. In the paper there are shown investigations of the impact of dimensions of samples made of different material kinds (steel 45, titanium VT 1-0, bronze BRAZh 9-4, aluminum alloy B-95) upon wave deformation strengthening parameters). The investigations mentioned were carried out for the first time on a test desk specially developed. Strengthening effectiveness was estimated according to micro-hardness distribution in a surface layer. The analysis of the results obtained allowed defining that in chosen modes of WDS takes place strengthening not only a face surface but a back one of the sample at that in the core of the sample an initial hardness of material is kept. The investigations carried out allowed defining the fact that at the increase of material thickness from 10 to 20 mm resulted in the growth of degree (ΔHμ) and depth (hμ) of strengthening at WDS of samples of steel 45 - by 24 and 32%, samples of bronze BRAZh 9-4 – by 22 and 21%, samples of titanium VT 1-0 – by 24 and 32%, samples of aluminum alloy B-95 – by 40 and 62%. The samples length increase from 50 to 100 mm is accompanied by the decrease of ΔHμ and hμ at strengthening: steel 45 – by 36 and 70%, bronze BRAZh 9-4 – by 27 and 43%, titanium VT 1-0 – by 24 and 32%, aluminum alloy B-95 – by 40 and 62%.

The main aim of this paper is to model the go kart chassis in solid works and perform the impact analysis of the motor vehicle chassis in Ansys. The purpose of impact analysis is to study the behaviour of the chassis during impact on the go-kart chassis. The National Go Kart Racing is the one of the ways which provide the platform for doing innovations and showing creativity of students. The motor vehicle chassis is completely different from standard automobile chassis. The basic requirements of the chassis will be less weight and more strength. The material that we opted for this chassis is AISI 4130 which is a medium carbon steel having good tensile strength and better machinability and offers good balance to toughness and ductility. Such that by performing impact analysis at different impact speeds we are going to analyses the chassis behaviour for the given conditions. The chassis frame is backbone of vehicle it should be able to with stand different types of loads that are developed during vehicle at rest and in motion. The given chassis is tested under different impact conditions and the results such as deformations, stresses are determined using ANSYS 19.0 software.

Background: In the past six months, Croatia faced a short lockdown and a slow return to most hospitals’ everyday activities. During the lockdown, our center, as a part of the University Hospital Centre specialized for solid cancer, was enabled to maintain most of the routine practices with the one-month colonoscopy exception. Aim: To determine the oscillation in the number of endoscopies and colorectal surgery for 13 months (six months pre and post COVID-19 lockdown). Materials and methods: From August 1st, 2019, until August 31st 2020, the hospital analytics determine the number of colonoscopies, screening colonoscopies, and surgeries. Results: During the given period number of detected and operated colorectal cancers was stable, except for April, when we mostly did not perform colonoscopies. Conclusion: We maintained a pre-COVID-19 pace in colorectal cancer treatment, colonoscopies, and colorectal surgery after epidemiological guidelines for colonoscopies and colorectal surgery were applied, owing to the relatively stable overall epidemiological situation.

The article presents data on the study of Centaurea jacea L. (Asteraceae) seed productivity in the Ukrainian Carpathians and significant impact of insects-agents of biological control on it. The negative factor that affects the reduction of seeds number in the capitulum is anthropogenic one — mowing down, trampling down (recreation, grazing). The stronger factor is zoogenic one — the impact of insects-consorts so called agents of biological control. The agents of biological control are the living organisms which in the process of coevolution established such trophic ties as a result of which bring the considerable damage to the specimen-determinant affecting the number of its population. The researches indicate that the dynamics of SP in different years depends not only on the biological species characteristics, phytocoenotic conditions but also to a great extent on the biogenic factors which are both positive and negative. On the one hand the processes of pollination and blossom dust sprouting as well as fertilization and seminal primordial into the seeds depend on the number of insects-pollinators. On the other hand injurious insects, the agents of the biological control eat seed buds and tubular flowers in the capitulums of C. jacea reducing SP. The basic function of the biocontrol agents is that they are the natural regulators of the abundance of the given species.

The article reveals the methodology of calculating the impact of the personnel potential and the efficiency of its use on the profit of an enterprise. It is emphasized that the profit is an important generalizing indicator, which reflects the final financial result of the production and operational activities of an enterprise. Any changes of this indicator are influenced by various factors. It is highlighted that the most active and decisive of them is the personnel potential and the efficiency of its use. The organizational and technical level of the production, the image of the given enterprise, its financial stability and the amount of the profit depend namely on the provision of the enterprise with some qualified workforce and on its rational use. With this in mind, the article argues that the factor analysis of the profit amount, i.e. the determination of the most significant factors’ impact on its change is of an actual importance. In the process of the factor analysis of this indicator it is proposed to use a set of some deterministic factor multiplicative models, which reflect the personnel potential of the enterprise and the efficiency of its use. In order to determine the impact of these factors on the change of the profit amount, it is recommended to carry out a phased factor analysis, which is based on the method of chain substitutions. The article points out that the modeling of this indicator is an important means of solving many economic and statistical tasks, in particular, the analytical and synthetic study of the individual factors’ influence on enterprise’s change of the profit amount. The selection of the main factors, which have the greatest impact on the overall change of the effective profit rate, is of a particular interest. It is emphasized that the value of any generalizing indicator (including the one of the profit) can be displayed in the form of a mathematical model, which is represented by a synthetic indicator (function) and the factors (arguments) that influence on its overall change. Depending on the objectives of the analysis and the availability of the opening economic and statistical information, it is proposed to investigate the impact of a different number of factors (two, three, etc.) on the profit change, i.e. in the process of factor analysis of this indicator to use a variety of economic and statistical models, which make it possible to determine the impact of certain factors on its change at any time. The given method of factor analysis of the profit gives the opportunity to determine the impact of the personnel potential and the effectiveness of its use on the overall change of this indicator, to investigate the regularity of such an influence, to use the obtained analytical and synthetic information for making some optimal management decisions regarding the further development of the enterprise and to ensure its competitiveness. Keywords: methodology, working factors, factor analysis, chain substitutions, profit, personnel potential potential.

Sugar is one of the most important elements in human nutrition. The Common Market Organisation for sugar has been a subject of considerable debate since its establishment in 1968. The European agricultural market has been criticized for its heavy regulations and subsidization. The sugar market is one of the most regulated ones; however, this will change radically in 2017 when the current system of production quotas will end. The current EU sugar market changed is structure during the last several decades. The significant number of companies left the market and EU internal sugar market became more concentrated. The aim of this paper is presentation characteristics of sugar market with respect to the supposed market failure – reduction in competition. The analysis also identifies the main drivers and determinants of the EU especially quota sugar market. In relation to paper’s aim the following results are important. The present conditions of the European sugar market have led to market failure when nearly 75 % (10 million tonnes) of the quota is controlled by five multinational companies only. These multinational alliances (especially German and French one) are also taking control over the production capacities of their subsidiaries. In most countries, this causes serious problems as the given quota is controlled by one or two producers only. This is a significant indicator of market imperfection. The quota system cannot overcome the problem of production quotas on the one hand and the demand on the other; furthermore, it also leads to economic inefficiency. The current EU sugar market is under the control of only Sudzucker, Nordzucker, Pfeifer and Langen, Tereos and ABF.

Gasoline come primarily from petroleum cuts, it is the preferred liquid fuel in our lives. Two gasoline samples of octane numbers 91 and 95 from Saudi Arabia petrol stations were studied. This study was achieved at three different temperatures 20oC, 30oC and 50oC representing the change in temperatures of the different seasons of the year. Both the evaporated gases of light aromatic hydrocarbons (BTEX) of gasoline samples inside the tank were subjected to analyze qualitatively and quantitatively via capillary gas chromatography. The detailed hydrocarbon composition and the octane number of the studied gasoline samples were determined using detailed hydrocarbon analyzer. The idea of research is indicating the impact of light aromatic compounds in gasoline on the toxic effect of human and environment on the one hand, and on octane number of gasoline on the other hand. Although the value of octane number will be reduced but this will have a positive impact on the environment as a way to produce clean fuel.

The problem of the optimal driving technique during the fuel economy competition is reconsidered. The vehicle is regarded as a particle moving on a trace with a variable slope angle. The fuel consumption is minimized as the vehicle covers the given distance in a given time. It is assumed that the run consists of two recurrent phases: acceleration with a full available engine power and coasting down with the engine turned off. The most fuel-efficient technique for shifting gears during acceleration is found. The decision variables are: the vehicle velocities at which the gears should be shifted, on the one hand, and the vehicle velocities when the engine should be turned on and off, on the other hand. For the data of students’ vehicle representing the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering it has been found that such driving strategy is more effective in comparison with a constant speed strategy with the engine partly throttled, as well as a strategy resulting from optimal control theory when the engine is still active.

Podkarpackie Voivodeship is one of the regions of Poland in which the number of agritourism entities is very high. Therefore tourism plays a significant role in its development strategy. The aim of the paper is to identify the current state of agritourism and the changes that have occurred in the region in the years 2000–2016. Specific objectives are to determine the distribution of agritourism farms and their offer, together with a comprehensive analysis of the environmental and socio-economic factors, as well as the impact of the Slovak-Ukrainian border. The report was developed on the statistical materials from the Polish Central Statistical Office, Podkarpackie Agricultural Advisory Centre in Boguchwała and data collected from municipalities and district offices that is published on their websites, as well as through interviews with 100 owners of agritourism farms in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. The research has shown, on the one hand, the decline in the number of farms in the region and, on the other hand, the increase in the diversity of the tourist offer of these entities. Distribution of agritourism farms is closely linked to the attractiveness of natural environment and quality of secondary tourism resources. Traditional agritourism has not yet fully used its countryside, as well as cross-border advantages of its location.

This study discusses the penetration of Islam in the Philippines, particularly the third wave of its expansion, which was brought by Sufi missionaries. It reinstates the historical relevance of Sufi ideas and approaches due to its contemporary relevance to the concept of social co-existence. The rational, intellectual and philosophical dimension of Islam is manifested in the cultural and traditional life of Muslim communities. The study also analyzes the impact of Muslim struggle for the development of Islamic institutions in the context of the secular state. The ongoing, unsettled debate between Islamic and government approaches to peace and development in Mindanao and Sulu continues unabated. Over the years, reforms were introduced, but in their midst, evidence of government biases and prejudices with regards to Islamic institutions have surfaced. Muslim leaders and intellectuals responded in the context of historical rights and freedom, but those views were often questioned as they are presumed to be incompatible with the national agenda for national unity. It was very recently that this incompatibility was readdressed giving support to having lasting peace and justice in Mindanao. The study argues that there have been substantial state-sponsored reforms which may contribute to the gradual advancement of Muslim communities. Though the path for the passage of Muslim concerns within the given condition is fragile and open to challenges, the study recognizes the prominence of inter-civilizational dialogue, from which the universal values of humanity will be embraced by both Muslim and non-Muslim policy makers. In addition, Muslim and non-Muslim communities in the Philippines need to embrace the universal principle of humanity and coexistence due to its relevance to the political stability and economic growth in the country.  Keywords: Muslims in the Philippines, Islamic institutions, Islamization, Muslim intellectuals, Reform.
