Butterflies are animals that are attractive to humans because they have the beauty of their bodies. In addition, beautiful and unique butterflies are also sought after by collectors for trade. Butterflies that are used as collections, must be preserved first. Preserving butterflies as part of environment-based learning can be supported by good preservation techniques that will improve teachers' understanding of butterflies and make insect recognition to kindergarten children more enjoyable. Therefore, learning about butterfly preservation accompanied by identification of butterflies needs to be conveyed in kindergarten. This research was carried out in TK Khalifah 7 Poligon, Palembang City. The purpose of the research is to describe the abality of kindergarten teachers to preserve butterflies. The method used in this research is a case study with a participation research approach. The results of the research showed; (1) The practice of butterfly preservation practice was responded well by the participants, and felt as valuable knowledge and skills in supporting learning activities on insect recognition material in the school environment; (2) The high interest and motivation of the training participants greatly supports the transfer of knowledge, can be absorbed by all and the resulting learning products meet scientific criteria; (3) The results of training in the form of dry butterflies in a storage box that have been identified in the home or school environment can be used as a learning device that supports the learning objectives of insect recognition in the school environment.

This chapter investigates how mobile games can be used for an efficient transfer of knowledge in learning processes that connect between the real world and the virtual world. In this chapter, the pervasive game concept is implemented on mobile phones as a means of enabling interaction and communication to support learning activities. The chapter presents the design of a new pervasive learning game, which was compared with a conventional pedagogical approach in terms of long-term learning results and learning efficiency. The empirical results revealed that the pervasive game led to higher energetic activation, more positive emotions and attitudes towards learning activities, and more efficient knowledge transfer than the conventional case-study approach.

Abstract: Practicum activities in learning Natural Sciences in the school environment is one of the effective methods to achieve learning objectives. Because in learning activities there are many concepts that can be explained if students carry out scientific activities or with laboratory tests. Singosari 1 High School is one of the high schools located on Jl. Ki Hajar Dewantara Singosari, Malang Regency. This community service activity aims to provide practical guidance to students in SMA Negeri 1 Singosari for Chemistry subjects. This is based on the results of interviews with chemistry teachers who showed that many students had difficulty in acid-base material. The method used needs analysis and is measured with quantitative data in the form of a tabulated questionnaire. The results of this service can be measured qualitatively and quantitatively, namely a questionnaire given to students that shows that there is a positive response and most feel very satisfied with the practicum activities undertaken. Students feel they can construct their understanding independently.   Keywords: Practicum, acid-base, IPA

Utilization of the learning environment in biology canprovidedirect learning experiences to the students by observing natural phenomena in accordance with the material being studied, which is expected to create the conditions that can develop students' interest and motivation to be active in the learning process. This study aims to fine out the students improvement and students learning activities by using plants in the school environment as a natural medium to the concept of plant diversity in SMA and MA at districts Montasik. The research was conducted at several SMA and MA at districts Montasik. The population and samples in this study was SMA and MA at districts Montasik. The data were collected by using test and observation. The hypothesis was tested by using t-test. The data obtained tcount was 16.94. ttable was 2.086, thus tcount ttable or 16.94  2.086. So Ho is rejected, while Ha is accepted. Showed that means the use of plants in the environment of the school as a natural medium on the material plant diversity can improve student learning outcomes. From the results of observation of students learning activity, it can be seen that the use of the school environment as a natural media can enhance students' learning activities.

The impact of the last global economic crisis (2008) on the European economy put a strain on higher education (HE), yet it also pushed the sector towards intensive reforms and improvements. This paper focuses on the “Strategy for the Development of Higher Education in the Republic of Bulgaria 2014-2020”. With a case study methodology, we explore the strategic endeavours of the Bulgarian government to comply with the European directions and to secure sustainable growth for the HE sector. Our research question is ‘How capable is the Bulgarian HE Strategy to overcome the economic and systemic restraints of Bulgarian higher education?’. Because the development of strategies for HE within the EU is highly contextual, a single qualitative case study was chosen as the research approach. HE institutions are not ivory towers, but subjects to a variety of external and internal forces. Within the EU, this is obviated by the fact that Universities obtain their funds from institutions such as governments, students and their families, donors, as well as EU-level programmes. Therefore, to explore how these pressures interact to affect strategic action on national level, the case method is well suited as it enabled us to study the phenomena thoroughly and deeply. The paper suggests the actions proposed within the Strategy have the potential to overcome the delay, the regional isolation and the negative impact of the economic crisis on the country. Nevertheless, the key elements on which the success or failure of this Strategy hinges are the control mechanisms and the approach to implementation. Shortcomings in these two aspects of strategic actions in HE seem to mark the difference between gaining long-term benefits and merely saving face in front of international institutions.
