<p><strong>Abstract</strong>: The purpose of the research is to find out: 1) the moral values contained in the true story of Greg Mortenson. 2) Educational values provided by Greg Mortenson. The research method used in this study is qualitative with a structural approach. The study results are: 1) The moral values in the novel Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin are caring 26.9%, friendly 15.4%, helpful 11.5%, brave 11.5%, hardworking 19.2%, and optimistic 15.4%. The most moral value in the data is caring with 7 data or 26.9%. 2) The educational values contained in the novel Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin are attitudes toward the world of education amounting to 28.6% and the struggle to establish schools 71.4%. The most data found in the struggle to establish schools amounted to 71.4%.<br /><strong>Keywords</strong>: moral values, educational values, content analysis</p>

Great value and culture of Indonesian people that very popular around the world. The highly complex conflict in Indonesia is generally extremely concerning, particularly the normative downturn. This same real dilemma is also taking place in the world of schooling. So this study aimed to reveal the moral value and instrinsic elements form the novel Black Notice by Patricia Cornwell relate to people from different environment by interview. The data of the research were gained through triangulation technique taken from novel, book review and interview which are analysed with desrcriptive qualitatively afterwards,and describe the condition and relation which are held and process still going. The results of the study found that certain moral values and intrinsic features include the novel Black Notice by Patricia Cornwell using the Social And cultural Historical Technique and the Biographical Framework.

This study aims to describe the comparison of moral values ​​in the novel Ivanna Van Dijk by RisaSaraswati with the moral values ​​of the novel AnantaPrahadi by RisaSaraswati. The research method uses descriptive qualitative method. The data in this study were obtained by reading, recording and concluding techniques. After the data is collected, data reduction is then performed. The selected data are then classified for further analysis of similarities and differences to be compared until the conclusion of the research results. The results of this study indicate that there are differences and similarities in the moral values ​​of human relations with oneself, human relations with humans, and human relations with God. Comparison of the moral values ​​of the two novels from the aspect of moral values ​​there are differences. In the novel AnantaPrahadi by RisaSaraswati the moral values ​​of human relations with oneself are 19 quotations, human relationships with humans there are 50 quotations, human relationships with God are 8, and the total of these quotations is 149 quotations. Whereas in Ivanna Van Dijk's novel the moral value of human relations with oneself is 26 quotations, human relationships with humans there are 49 quotations, human relationships with God there are 3 quotations, and the total of these quotations is 105 quotations. Conclusion, the comparison of moral values ​​in the two novels is on the number of citations, while the equation lies in the form of quotations of moral values, which dominates the moral values ​​of relationships with others. In addition, the form of expressing the moral values ​​of the two novels is slightly different, namely the implied and explicit meaning. Keywords: Comparison, Novel, Moral Value

This study aims to 1) determine the values ​​of Aqidah Education in "Novel MARS How Meaningful a Mother in My Life" by Aishworo Ang. 2) find out the relevance of Aqidah Education Values ​​in the novel "MARS How Meaningful a Mother is in My Life" by Aishworo Ang with current Islamic education. The research method used by the author is content analysis. This analysis is used by the writer to reveal, understand and capture literary works. Meanwhile, data collection techniques are literature study techniques or documentation by examining various writings related to the object of research. The collected data were then analyzed using the stages of data processing, categorization, and data interpretation. After analyzing the data, the authors obtained the following conclusions: 1) The values ​​of aqidah education in the novel "MARS How Meaningful a Mother's Figure in My Life" by Aishworo Ang includes: a) Illahiyat, (a matter of divinity such as about His Essence) b ) Nubuwat, (prophetic issues, scriptures, etc.) c) Ruhaniyat (unseen problems such as spirits, angels, jinn, etc.) d) Sam'iyyat, (problems that can be known through revelation, such as barzhakh , heaven, hell and others) 2) The Relevance of Aqidah Educational Values ​​in Aishworo Ang's Novel "MARS How Meaningful a Mother's Figure is in My Life" with current Islamic education, which is in accordance with the aims of education aimed at improving the quality of Indonesian people, namely humans having faith and fearing God Almighty, this is in line with the contents of the story in the novel "MARS How Meaningful a Mother's Figure in My Life" which generally contains the values ​​of faith, including faith in Alla. h, faith in the book of Allah, faith in the Angel of God, faith in the Prophet, faith in the Last Day, and faith in the destiny of Allah.

Moral Values in Guru Aini Written by Andrea Hirata ABSTRAKPenelitian ini berisi tentang nilai-nilai Akhlak Al-Islam dan Kemuhammadiyahan dalam novel Guru Aini karya Andrea Hirata. Nilai akhlak menjadi fokus utama pada penelitian ini karena akhlak merupakan salah satu pondasi dasar dari sifat manusia yang sangat erat kaitannya dengan perilaku manusia dengan Tuhannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang mendalam mengenai nilai-nilai akhlak berupa nilai takwa, tawakal, kejujuran, keikhlasan, sabar  dan syukur dari novel Guru Aini karya Andrea Hirata. Novel tersebut memiliki nilai akhlak yang perlu diterapkan dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat serta menjadi khazanah keilmuan berkaitan antara agama dan sastra. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan pendekatan analisis isi. Metode kualitatif ini dapat menghasilkan data deskriptif berupa kata-kata tertulis atau atau isi komunikasi berupa percakapan, teks tertulis, dan fotografi. Simpulan dari hasil penelitian ini terdapat 6 kutipan dari nilai takwal, 14 kutipan nilai tawakal, 18 kutipan dari nilai kejujuran, 4 kutipan dari nilai keikhlasan, 1 kutipan dari nilai sabar, dan 14 kutipan dari nilai syukur. Kata kunci: Nilai-nilai akhlak, karya sastra, novelABSTRACTThis study contains moral values based on Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah in the novel Guru Aini by Andrea Hirata. This research uses qualitative method and content analysis approach, this qualitative method can produce descriptive data in the form of written words or communication content in the form of conversation, written text, and photography. This research aims at investigating the main character's disobedience toward Sati tradition in Around the World in 80 Days: a Sociological Approach. The research method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method so the researcher analyzes the data in this research through description. There are two main results of this research. First, the main character’s disobedience toward Sati tradition are (1) the main character’s disobedience in India Forest (being displeased with government authority, hope of reform); (2) the main character’s disobedience in Calcutta (law enforcement); (3) the main character’s disobedience in United States of America (injustice occur). Second, the moral values can be taken from the novel are divided into positive and negative values.

<p><em>Abstrak</em> - <strong>Penelitian ini mengenai pesan-pesan kemanusiaan pada novel Jenghis Khan sebuah kisah yang diangkat dari negeri Mongolia karya seorang penulis barat yang bernama John Man. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan struktural genetik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui sisi baik dari seorang panglima besar yang terkenal dan ditakuti di penjuru dunia dalam masanya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis isi model induktif. Dalam analisis isi kualitatif, seharusnya ditentukan apa bagian penarikan kesimpulan dari informasi yang dibuat, kepada aspek-aspek komunikator (pengalaman, pendapat dan perasaannya). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dalam novel Jenghis Khan Karya John Man terdapat 16 informasi yang menunjukkan nilai-nilai kemanusiaan sang tokoh terhadap pesan-pesan kemanusiaan, kepedulian dan toleransi berjumlah 5 dengan presentasi 31%, kegotongroyongan dan harapan berjumlah 3 dengan presentasi 19%.</strong><strong></strong></p><p> </p><p><strong><em>Kata Kunci</em></strong><em> –</em> <em>Novel, Pesan Kemanusiaan, Struktural Genetik</em></p><p> </p><p><em>Abstract </em>– <strong>This research is about the messages and humanity in the novel Genghis Khan, a story lifted from Mongolia by a writer named John Man. This study is a qualitative research with a genetic structural approach. The purpose of this study was conducted to determine the good side of a great commander known and feared throughout the world in his time. The method used in this study used a qualitative approach with the method of inductive content analysis models. In a qualitative content analysis, it should be determined what part inference of created information to the aspects of the communicator (thoughts, opinions and feelings). The results showed on Genghis Khan novel by John Man, there are 16 information that shows the values of humanity of the hero to the messages of humanity, caring and tolerance amounts 5 with 31% presentation, mutual cooperation and hope totaling 3 with 19% presentation.</strong></p><p> </p><strong><em>Keywords </em></strong><em>– Novel, Messages of Humanity, Structural Genetic</em>

The research method used is content analysis and literary psychoanalysis. The subject of the study was Dangerous Movie Minds by John N. Smith. The results of this study include the intrinsic elements in Dangerous Movie Minds by John N. Smith are theme, plot, characterization and background. The kinds of moral values found in this research are honesty, authentic value, self-confidence, moral independence, humility, responsibility, tenacity, reality and crisis, moral faith and courage. These findings suggest that this technique is effective for analyzing the moral values in Dangerous Minds Movie by John N. Smith.

Pan Balang Tamak text is one of Balinese narrative texts developing in Balinese communities. This text contains very deep moral value that is very useful for communities to achieve happiness in the world. The moral values embed in the clauses constructing the text in metaphorical meaning. Many clauses constructing the text contain verbal group complexes in which describe kinds of actions done by the participants. This paper analyzes the application of verbal group complexes in Pan Balang Tamak text written by Suptra (2014). The theory used to analyze the verbal group complexes is the theory of group complex from Systemic Functional Linguistics from Halliday (2014). The paper used qualitative research, namely by the theory approach, the technique used is based on syntagmatic and paradigmatic based on field, tenor, mode. The result of the research suggested that both verbal group complexes in paratactic and in hypotactic were found in the text. Paratactic can be found in the way of the communities respect their bad behavior and the real condition happening to all animal living in the forest. The hypotactic were found the clauses which contain the effort to trap Pan Balang Tamak and the advantages obtained by Pan Balang Tamak from the efforts which be trap Pan Balang Tamak. Projection verb can be found in verbal process in which mean proposal, namely, the willing to trap Pan Balang Tamak

ABSTRACT   Panitibaya fiber is one of the piwulang Javanese texts that needs to be preserved because the teachings contained in it are still very beneficial for the community. For that Panitibaya Fiber will be examined on (1) how the sound layer in Panitibaya Fiber, (2) how the meaning layer in  Panitibaya Fiber, (3) how the object layer in Panitbaya Fiber, (4) Moral Value in Panitibaya Fiber. This study uses a literary sociology approach according to Ian Watt. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The data used in this study is the text of the Fiber Panitibaya written by Bathara Katong. Data collection techniques in this study were heuristic and hermeneutic reading methods. The analysis technique uses an analysis of the building blocks of poetry Roman Ingarden which includes sound layers, meaning layers, object layers. From the data, it was analyzed using Ian Watt's sociology theory of literature to find out the teachings contained in Panitibaya Fiber. The results of this study indicate that the existence of sound layers, layers of meaning and layers of objects, as well as moral values ​​contained in the Panitibaya Fiber for pursuing are summarized as eleven teachings as follows, (1) obligations to the Creator, (2) disgraceful qualities that must be shunned, (3) commendable traits, (4) actions that are not justified for men, (5) attitudes that must be considered in speech, (6) ancestral messages, (7) people who are not approachable, (8) actions related to children, (9) actions related to firearms, (10) there are visits and neighbors, and (11) attitude in handling a job. The teachings of the Panitibaya Fiber need to be disseminated in the Javanese community, either through print media or online media. This study aimed at finding out the main characters’ personality in the novel of Negeri Para Bedebah by Tere Liye based on Carl Gustav Jung’s psychoanalysis. The research method used qualitative with content analysis. Data were collected by inventorying Thomas's conversation based on Carl Gustav Jung's psychoanalytic personality characteristic. It consists of think extrovert, feels extrovert, sense extrovert, intuition extrovert, think introvert, feel introvert, sensitive introvert, and intuition introvert. The results revealed that the discovery of eight main characters’ personality. First, think extrovert is demonstrated by the ability of intellectual analysis of objective experience. Second, feel extrovert is found by responding emotionally to objective reality. Third, sense extrovert is the tendency of figures to analyze the situation. Fourth, intuition extrovert is seen by its character does not care about logic. Fifth, think introvert figure depiction looks inflexible, cold, judge, and cruel. Sixth, feel introvert showed by figures are selfish and unsympathetic. Seventh, sense introvert found the ability of the senses to give them subjective meaning. Eighth, intuition introvert is demonstrated by the figure closing in and keeping the distance from the others. In conclusion, the eight personality types can be found on the whole structure of an irregular novel story.
