Sarcocystosis (sarkosporidiosis) is a widespread, but insufficiently studied, protozoal disease of farm animals and humans, wild animals and birds. Sarcocystosis was not registered in wild animals in the territory of the Kirov region.Samples from 218 carcasses of wild boars caught in various parts of the Kirov region from 2011 to 2019 were examined for spontaneous defeat by sarcocystosis. Samples were taken from various muscle groups and the heart. They were examined by visual inspection methods and using a compressor. In the selection of muscle samples, we took into account the area, age, sex, fatness of the animal. In a study of 191 boar carcasses in 2012–2017, we did not identify sarcocysts in the muscles and heart. Sarcocistosis in wild boars in the north of the Non-Black Earth Region was registered in the last hunting season of 2018–2019 in the study of 27 carcas boars. The extensiveness of invasion was 25,9%, the intensity of invasion is low – 4,3±1,3 (1–14) cysts in the compressor. The length of the sarcocysts is 0,5–1,36 (0,88±0,1) mm, the width is 0,12–0,18 (0,15±0,01) mm. The infection rate of young boars was 57,1%.Sarcocystosis in wild duck mallards was registered by us in May 2011. Cysts were 4x1 mm, white colored. The intensity of invasion in wild ducks was high. We found Sarcocystis rileyi in wild ducks from the Nizhny Novgorod and Vologda regions.

This paper presents the results of a geoinformation analysis of the spread of rabies in Vinnytsia region during 2018. The material for the study was the official data from the report of the region laboratory of veterinary medicine of the State Food and Consumer Service of Ukraine. GIS analysis was performed using Quantum GIS software version 3.4.10. The highest incidence of rabies among foxes was observed in the autumn-winter period, especially in November and December. Among cats and dogs, elevated rates were observed from October to May (with a predominance in January-March). Among farm animals, the disease progressed in summer and to a greater extent in early autumn (SeptemberOctober). Outbreaks of rabies in other wild animals were not synchronously associated with fox disease and were reported in winter only in January, during spring (mainly in May) and in early summer. Calculated using standard deviations ellipses, the spatial trends of rabies distribution among different animal species show that the vast majority of rabies cases among foxes were localized in the centre of the region along the western border; among cats more compact, closer to the northern border; among dogs, cases of rabies were scattered throughout the territory and distributed along the northeastern border; among farm animals were localized only in the northern part of the region; among other wild animals were registered almost throughout the region. The identification of "hot spots" allowed to establish zones of maximum rabies density with a rate of 27.8 casesof rabies per km2 for all species of animals. For foxes, the zones of the highest density (17.9 cases per km2) were mainly localized in the areas near Khmelnytsky, Zhytomyr and Cherkasy regions. For cats (9.12 cases per km2) they covered the territories of the central and north-eastern districts. For dogs (9.12 cases per km2) only in the north-eastern regions. For farm animals (9 cases per km2) the location of the hotspots coincided with the areas for cats. Among other wild animals, the highest density (3.71 cases per km2) was recorded in the southern part of the regions. The prospect of further research is based on modeling the dynamics of rabies in the Vinnytsia regions. Key words: GIS analysis, rabies of wild animals, rabies of domestic animals, epizootic situation, rabies in Ukraine.

Toxoplasma gondii and Salmonella are zoonotic foodborne pathogens that may be transmitted to humans through the consumption of raw or undercooked meat, including game. The aim of this study was to determine the seroprevalence of T. gondii and Salmonella antibodies in wild boars in two different regions in Switzerland. During the hunting season of 2020, a total of 126 diaphragm muscle samples of hunted wild boars were collected and the meat juice of these samples was analysed for pathogen-specific IgG antibodies using commercial enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kits. The overall seroprevalences were 35% for T. gondii and 17% for Salmonella, respectively. In general, seropositivity increased with the age of the animals. Seroprevalences of T. gondii were similar for animals from the northern region (29%) to those from the southern region (36.8%), indicating that T. gondii is widespread in the sylvestrian environment. By contrast, Salmonella seropositivity was remarkably higher in wild boars from the north (52%) compared with those from the south (5.3%). The high occurrence of Salmonella may represent a risk of transmission to compatriot domestic animals such free-range farmed pigs as well as to humans. Further, meat of hunted wild boars may present a source of human toxoplasmosis or salmonellosis.

SUMUT Bank is one of the Banks in Indonesia with the name of the company PT. Regional Development Bank of North Sumatra. The North Sumatra Bank has branches in each region in North Sumatra both in the district and in the sub-district, and each of these branches is led by a branch leader or branch head. The head of this branch is responsible for the reversal of the Bank being led. The best and most accomplished branch heads deserve more and more awards. The selection of the best branch heads is selected transparently and structured in the hope that it can be a motivation for all branch heads to be able to further improve the quality and service of the Bank they lead. Making the best branch head selection done manually will take a long time and tends to be less transparent and structured. One solution so that the implementation of the selection can be carried out easily and quickly, it requires a Decision Support System that can provide consistency of assessment. In this study the method used is the VIKOR method (Visekriterijumsko Kompromisno Rangiranje). This method makes cracking on alternatives based on criteria that have been determined with an ideal compromise solution or the best solution, so that this system can later be beneficial for the SUMUT Bank to get the title in determining the best branch head. Keywords: Decision Support System, North Sumatra Bank, Branch Head, Vikor

AbstractA survey of ice growth and decay processes on a selection of shallow and deep sub-Arctic and Arctic lakes was conducted using radiometrically calibrated ERS-1 SAR images. Time series of radar backscatter data were compiled for selected sites on the lakes during the period of ice cover (September to June) for the years 1991–92 and 1992–93. A variety of lake-ice processes could be observed, and significant changes in backscatter occurred from the time of initial ice formation in autumn until the onset of the spring thaw. Backscatter also varied according to the location and depth of the lakes. The spatial and temporal changes in backscatter were most constant and predictable at the shallow lakes on the North Slope of Alaska. As a consequence, they represent the most promising sites for long-term monitoring and the detection of changes related to global warming and its effects on the polar regions.

For humans and domestic animals, parasites of wild animals can pose a threat to health, and even life. In this regard, it is important to establish the pathways of circulation of pathogens of dangerous helminthiasis, to identify the nature of the focus and the role of wild animals in this process, since these data serve as the basis for the development of anti-parasite measures. The study of parasitic organisms of wild animals is of great importance for science and practice. In natural biocenosis, one of their joints is parasitic species, which, on the one hand, are involved in the regulation of the host population; on the other hand, they prevent the introduction and spread of new species related to the host, i.e. participate in ensuring homeostasis of biocenosis. Parasitizing in various hosts, both definitive and intermediate, helminthes can determine the number and distribution over the territory not only of these hosts, but also of other animal species associated with these hosts by trophic and other connections. The foregoing determines the relevance of the problem of studying the fauna of helminthes of wild animals in the West Kazakhstan region, which is currently under-researched. The species composition of helminthes of the fox (Vulpes vulpes) and the korsak (Vulpes corsac) in the territory of the West-Kazakhstan region region was explored. In most cases, the invasion was recorded in an associative form. Some helminthes cause serious diseases in humans and farm animals. As a result of our research, we identified 6 species of intestinal helminthes in the common fox, two of which (Alveococcus multilocularis, Toxocara canis) have epidemiological significance. In korsak, 3 types of helminthes were identified at the autopsy before the species.

ABSTRACT Ryegrass is a weed of annual cycle that is present in winter crops, in orchards and vineyards of the South region of Brazil. The species is normally controlled by the glyphosate herbicide, but the continuous use of this product caused the selection of resistant biotypes. The use of ACCase inhibitor herbicides is the main alternative for the control of this species, but it has not been satisfactory in some places, thus causing suspicion of resistance to this action mechanism. Thus, the objective of this paper was to evaluate the occurrence and geographic distribution of ryegrass biotypes that are resistant to the clethodim herbicide in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. For that, seeds of ryegrass plants that survived the application of clethodim were collected in crops from the north region of RS, summing up to a total of 152 samples from 72 cities. The biotypes were submitted to the application of 120 g i.a. ha-1 (maximum registered dose) and 60 g i.a. ha-1 de clethodim (half the maximum registered dose). According to the results, among the samples of ryegrass seeds collected, there were no biotypes resistant to the clethodim herbicide when the maximum registered dose was applied and in the stage of three to four leaves. However, there were biotypes with lower susceptibility that survived half the maximum registered dose.

The authors of the article presents the results of the development of a polyvalent toxoid from C.perfringens strains against anaerobic enterotoxaemia of young cattle and small ruminants and an assessment of its effectiveness. It is presented the data on the selection of the recipe composition of the nutrient medium, the cultivation of industrial strains, the process of drug preparation, the selection of the optimal ratio of components and the method of controlling the effectiveness. Sequential cultivation of industrial strains of C.perfringens was carried out by cultivating them in flasks, bottles and bioreactors in the nutrient medium developed by the authors, consisting of: 12.0 g/l - liver extract; 25.0 g/l - casein-peptone; 3.2g/l –K2HPO4; 1.8 g/l – KH2PO4; 0.5 g/l – MgSO4. The development of the drug included the selection of optimal and balanced ratios of C. perfringens type A toxoids - 15 IU/ml, C.perfringens type B - 20 IU/ml, C.perfringens type C - 30 IU/ml, C. perfringens type D - 30 IU/ml, which ensured 100% protection of the immunized animals. Studies on laboratory and farm animals revealed the harmlessness, areactogenicity of the drug, which stimulated the development of immunity and resistance to the toxic effects of all strains of C.perfringens.
