The study assessed the classroom management needs of the faculty of the College of Nursing in University of Cebu Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue, Mandaue City, Cebu, Philippines for school year 2011-2012 based on Acero’s facets of classroom management (time and physical environment, classroom discipline, and routines). Further, the study described the: profile in terms of age, educational attainment, and length of teaching experience; classroom management needs; and relationship between the respondents’ profile and classroom management needs. The key findings were the basis for a proposed action plan. The descriptive-correlational design was utilized with a researcher-made tool based on Acero’s facets of classroom management. Follow-up interviews were also conducted with the 22 respondents. Treatment of data include frequency, simple percentage, weighted mean, and chi-square Test of Independence. The findings showed that most of the faculty were 30-50 years old, master’s degree holders, and has been serving the college for 2-4 years. The three facets of classroom management, namely, time and physical environment, classroom discipline, and routines were identified by respondents as needed. Furthermore, there was no significant relationship between the profile and classroom management needs. In the light of the findings of the study, classroom management needs of the College of Nursing can be addressed through a positive climate of humanism, where a teacher motivates effective learning in students, not through rewards and punishments but through better communication skills, to develop self-regulating behavior.

The findings served as basis for a proposed enhanced faculty research program. The study utilized the descriptive-correlational design and a researcher-made questionnaire to gather the data. Treatment of data include simple percentage, weighted mean, and chi-square Test of Independence. The respondents have a very high level of difficulty in the conceptual and analytical phases of the research process. The phases of design and planning, empirical, and dissemination phase revealed a high level of difficulty. Furthermore, the profile did not influence the research process difficulties encountered. For an extensive knowledge in conducting faculty research, there is a need to focus on the conceptual and analytical phases, in the research program. Recommended citation: It-it, E. R. & Amparado, M. Introduction: Musculoskeletal Disorders (MDs) largely contribute to occupational diseases in the workplace. Prevention from these disorders requires their evaluation in different occupations. This study aimed to compare the MDs of the neck between the teachers of Physical Education (PE) and those of the other majors in the high schools of Tehran City, Iran. Methods: The study sample included 180 teachers of mathematics, PE, and the religion and lifestyle in the high schools of Tehran (with the Mean±SD age of 42.11±6.65 years, and the Mean±SD weight of 72.28±12.98 kg). The participants were selected from 19 districts of the Tehran Departments of Education using multistage cluster sampling. The standard Nordic questionnaire was administered to investigate MDs among the teachers. The obtained data were analyzed with the Chi-square test to compare the MDs of the neck between the three groups of teachers. Results: A significant relationship was observed between the neck problems of the female (P=0.016) and male (P=0.017) PE teachers and the other teachers. Moreover, the neck problems were associated with the teaching experience (P=0.024) and teaching major (P=0.004). Conclusion: Based on the results, it seems that regular exercise can reduce the developing risk of MDs in the neck. Thus, this study recommends the performance of regular exercise and the correction of job-related postures to all teachers.

Premenstrual syndrome is a group of symptoms that occur in the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle that cause disruption to a person's work and lifestyle. Premenstrual syndrome makes women unable to function normally and requires treatment. This situation causes a decrease in the quality of life of women, for example students who experience premenstrual syndrome cannot concentrate on learning and their motivation to learn decreases because of the pain they feel. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge of young women and anxiety when facing premenstrual syndrome. This type of research is analytic by using a cross-sectional design. The population in this study were all female students in grades VII and VIII at SMP Negeri 1 Merbau in the 2020-2021 school year with a total population of 147 students and the sample in this study was 67 students who were taken by simple random sampling technique. Data analysis with chi-square test. The results of the analysis show that there is a relationship between knowledge about reproductive health and anxiety in dealing with premenstrual syndrome with a p value of 0.000. It is recommended for health services to be able to hold counseling about premenstrual syndrome to increase the knowledge of young women about premenstrual syndrome.
