The purpose of this study was to identify the educational value of the novel Partikel by Dewi Lestari. This type of research is descriptive qualitative with a dynamic structuralism approach. The method used in this research is the observation method with the note-taking technique. The data was collected by classifying and describing the elements of literary works that were the subject of the study which emphasized the values that exist in the novel Partikel. The data source is the novel Partikel by Dewi Lestari, while the research data is sentences, phrases, and words that contain an educational value. The results showed that the educational value contained in the novel Partikel by Dewi Lestari is 1) the value of religious education; 2) the value of moral education; 3) social education value is a value that teaches people to be better towards themselves, other people, animals, and nature. The educational value contained in the novel Partikel by Dewi Lestari includes attitudes and ways of life of a person such as being loyal to friends, tolerance, determination, helping and preserving animals and nature; 4) the value of cultural education.

<p><strong>            </strong><em>This research is motivated by the analysis extrinsic elements novel </em><em>Sang Pemimpi</em><em>. This study aimed to describe the social values, cultural values, moral values, and religious values in the novel </em><em>Sang Pemimpi</em><em>. The research is a qualitative study using descriptive methods. The data in this study is a form of social values, cultural values, </em><em>religius </em><em>values and moral </em><em>on Sang Pemimpi</em><em> novel by Andrea Hirata. Data source is </em><em>Sang Pemimpi</em><em> novel by Andrea Hirata. Data collection techniques in this study are: (1) to read and understand the Novel </em><em>Sang Pemimpi</em><em> by Andrea Hirata, and (2) give coding by underlining sentences containing social values, cultural values and political values in the note of the novel </em><em>Sang Pemimpi</em><em> by Andrea Hirata all data regarding speech acts in a novel study. While the steps in analyzing data are: (1) read data that has been </em><em>record</em><em>ed, (2) classify or record data for the purpose for researchers based on the novel </em><em>Sang Pemimpi</em><em> by Andrea Hirata, (3) interpreting or interpretation of data for the purpose of research is to analyze the novel Sang </em><em>Pemimpi</em><em> by Andrea Hirata, and (4) make the conclusion of the study. The results of this study stated that extrinsic elements contained in </em><em>Sang Pemimpi</em><em> novel by Andrea Hirata is the value of cultural education, where cultural rights set forth in the novel The Dreamer ie when they are a teenager then it started to work for money. Social educational value, namely the attitude of helping each other like Arai and Mak Cik, and as pastor and Jimbron. the value of religious education that is visible on the pastor and Jimbron, although Jimbron raised by a pastor, but the pastor did not impose his religion on Jimbron. moral and political education value seen in a leader who has no morals and honesty.</em></p><p> </p><p><em>            Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh analisis unsur ekstrinsik novel Sang Pemimpi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai sosial, nilai budaya, nilai politik, nilai moral, dan nilai religius dalam novel Sang Pemimpi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. </em><em>Data dalampenelitian iniadalah bentuk nilai sosial,  nilai budaya, nilai realigi dan moral dalam novel Sang Pemimpi karya Andrea Hirata. Sumber datanya adalah novelSang Pemimpi karya Andrea Hirata.Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah: (1) membaca dan memahami Novel Sang Pemimpi karya Andrea Hirata</em><em>, dan (2) </em><em>memberi pengkodean dengan menggarisbawahi kalimat-kalimat yang mengandung nilai sosial, nilai budaya, dan nilai politik dalam Mencatat Novel Sang Pemimpi karya Andrea Hirata  semua data mengenai tindak tutur dalam novel yang diteliti. Sedangkan langkah-langkah dalam menganalisis datanya adalah: (1) membaca data yang sudah dicatat, (2) mengklasifikasikan atau mencatat data sesuai tujuan peneliti berdasarkan novel Sang Pemimpi karya Andrea Hirata, (3) menginterprestasikan atau penafsiran data dengan tujuan penelitian yaitu menganalisis novel Sang Pemimpi karya Andrea Hirata, dan (4) membuat simpulan penelitian.</em><em>Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa unsur ekstrinsik yang dapat dalam novel Sang Pemimpi karya Andrea Hirata adalah nilai pendidikan budaya, di mana budaya yang tercantum dalam novel Sang Pemimpi yaitu apabila sudah beranjak remaja maka sudah mulai bekerja untuk mencari uang. nilai pendidikan sosial, yaitu adanya sikap saling tolong menolong seperti Arai dan Mak Cik, dan seperti pendeta dan Jimbron. nilai pendidikan religius yaitu terlihat pada pendeta dan Jimbron, walaupun Jimbron diasuh oleh seorang Pendeta, tetapi pendeta tersebut tidak memaksakan agamanya pada Jimbron. nilai pendidikan moral dan politik terlihat pada seorang pemimpin yang tidak mempunyai moral dan kejujuran.</em></p>

<p><em>Educational values are closely related to literary works. Literary works (including novel) always reveal good values that are beneficial to its readers. Educational values can also be referred to a message. The element of message becomes the idea underlying the creation of the literary works. It is expected to be interpreted by the readers to be used as educational values as well as social control that can be used as a guide to interact in real life. Therefore, the aim of the study was to describe the educational values contained in the novel </em><em>Uhibbuka Fillah (Aku Mencintaimu Karena Allah) </em><em>by Ririn Rahayu Astuti Ningrum with the approach of literary sociology. Data collection techniques were documentation techniques. </em><em>The data were analyzed using the</em><em> content analysis. </em><em>The results showed that</em><em> the educational values found in the novel </em><em>Uhibbuka Fillah (Aku Mencintaimu Karena Allah)</em><em> by Ririn Rahayu Astuti Ningrum consisted of religious, moral, social, and cultural. (1) The values of religious education, encompassing about loving all things must be due to Allah, having resignation, increasing the knowledge of religion, accustoming to fasting and sunnah prayer, covering aurat, and ghadhdhul bashar (holding sight). (2) The values of moral education, including about obedience to parents, good morals, sincerity and honesty. (3) The values of social education, including about love to orphans, help, and keep promises to others. (4) The value of cultural education is about the palace building that has implied meaning. The findings are very well used as the example in shaping positive values in real life.</em></p><p> </p><p>Nilai-nilai pendidikan sangat erat kaitannya dengan karya sastra. Setiap karya sastra yang baik (termasuk novel) selalu mengungkapkan nilai-nilai luhur yang bermanfaat bagi pembacanya. Nilai-nilai pendidikan dalam karya sastra dapat disebut juga sebagai amanat atau pesan. Unsur amanat atau pesan menjadi gagasan yang mendasari diciptakannya karya sastra tersebut. Hal tersebut diharapkan dapat ditafsirkan oleh pembaca agar bisa dijadikan sebagai ilmu atau nilai pendidikan sekaligus kontrol sosial yang bisa dijadikan pedoman berinteraksi dalam kehidupan yang nyata. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai pendidikan yang terkandung dalam novel Uhibbuka Fillah (Aku Mencintaimu Karena Allah) karya Ririn Rahayu Astuti Ningrum dengan pendekatan sosiologi sastra. Data dalam penelitian kualitatif deskriptif ini berupa kata, kalimat, atau wacana yang bersumber dari novel Uhibbuka Fillah (Aku Mencintaimu Karena Allah) karya Ririn Rahayu Astuti Ningrum. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik dokumentasi, simak, dan catat. Analisis data dilakukan dengan content analysis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa nilai-nilai pendidikan yang ditemukan dalam novel Uhibbuka Fillah (Aku Mencintaimu Karena Allah) karya Ririn Rahayu Astuti Ningrum terdiri dari nilai pendidikan agama, moral, sosial, dan budaya. (1) Nilai-nilai pendidikan agama, mencakup ajaran untuk mencintai segala sesuatu harus karena Allah, tawakkal hanya kepada Allah, mendalami ilmu agama, membiasakan puasa dan sholat sunnah, menutup aurat, dan ghadhdhul bashar (menundukkan atau menahan pandangan). (2) Nilai-nilai pendidikan moral, mencakup ajaran untuk taat dan patuh kepada orang tua, berakhlak baik, berbuat tulus dan jujur. (3) Nilai-nilai pendidikan sosial, mencakup ajaran untuk mencintai anak yatim, tolong menolong, dan menepati janji kepada orang lain. (4) Nilai pendidikan budaya antaranya mengenai bangunan keraton yang memiliki makna tersirat. Dari keseluruhan nilai-nilai pendidikan yang terdapat dalam novel ini, sangatlah baik digunakan sebagai contoh dalam membentuk dan menanamkan nilai-nilai positif dalam kehidupan nyata</p>

One community that has a complex marriage system is Toraja, it is one of the tribes in Indonesia who still maintains their ancestral cultural traditions in their social life. The institutions in the Toraja communities are always associated with aluk (teachings or rules of life). This study aims to describe the educational values and functions in the text ma’parapa (silence) in the procession of rampanan kapa’ (wedding ceremony) in Tana Toraja. This type of research is qualitative research, and the research data is in the form of text quotations that describe the educational value contained in the ma’parapa text in the procession of the rampanan kapa’ in Tana Toraja. The results of this study indicate that the educational value contained in the text ma’parapa in the procession of rampanan kapa’ consists of 1) the value of religious education, namely to educate all people always to be grateful, to trust, and to exalt God’s power, 2) moral education, namely to express respect or in the sense of asking for permission before doing something in front of others by saying the word tabe, 3) social education, which is useful for the community to foster life with its environment, 4) cultural education, namely inviting all people to always maintain and develop marriage customs in it there are procedures for getting married which contain many moral messages that need to be applied in everyday life. The educational function of the ma’parapa text in the procession of rampanan kapa’ in Tana Toraja includes 1) the function of education for family and cultural groups, which is to encourage the younger generation to dare to speak in public, to be able to implement good behavior in daily life -day, and so that the younger generation can interpret advice, and relationships with God Almighty, and 2) to understand aluk rampanan kapa’ as a very sacred level of the ceremony where if there is a violation it will be sanctioned by fellow humans and also from the Creator.

Sastra merupakan respresentatif pengarang terhadap realita sosial yang terjadi dan didalamnya terdapat pesan yang disampaikan oleh pengarang kepada pembacanya dan dapat dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai edukatif yang ada dalam novel Sebait Cinta di Bawah Langit Kairo karya Mahmud Jauhari Ali. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pustaka atau penelitian yang bersifat kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai pendidikan yang terdapat dalam novel Sebait Cinta Di Bawah Langit Kairo terdapat empat nilai yaitu: Nilai pendidikan religius, nilai pendidikan moral, nilai pendidikan sosial, dan nilai pendidikan budaya Sedangkan nilai pendidikan yang paling dominan dalam novel Sebait Cinta di Bawah Langit Kairo adalah nilai pendidikan religiusLiterature is the representation of the social reality that occurs and there are messages conveyed by the author to the reader and can be used as learning media. This study aims to decribes educative values in Sebait Cinta di Bawah Langit Kairo novel by Mamud Jauhari Ali. This type of research is library research or qualitative research. The results of the research show that there are four educative values contained in the novel Kreation Mamud Jauhari Ali which are the value of religious education, the value of moral education, the value of social education, and the value of cultural education. The most dominant value of education in this novel is the value of religious education.

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan macam-macam gaya bahasa perbandingan geguritan karya Muhammad Yamin MS dalam Pisungsung antologi geguritan lan cerkak, (2) mengetahui nilai pendidikan pada geguritan karya Muhammad Yamin MS dalam Pisungsung antologi geguritan lan cerkak. Jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian berupa geguritan karya Muhammad Yamin MS dalam pisungsung antologi geguritan lan cerkak tahun 1997. Objek penelitian berupa gaya bahasa perbandingan dan nilai-nilai pendidikan dalam geguritan karya Muhammad Yamin MS. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik simak dan catat. Analisis data menggunakan analisis isi. Instrumen penelitian adalah peneliti sendiri dibantu buku-buku yang sesuai dengan fokus penelitian serta kartu pencatat data. Teknik keabsahan data menggunakan ketekunan. Penyajian hasil analisis menggunakan metode informal. Hasil penelitian: (1) gaya bahasa perbandingan geguritan karya Muhammad Yamin MS dalam Pisungsung antologi geguritan lan cerkak meliputi: metafora, personifikasi, perumpamaan epos, sinekdoke, dan allegori. Metafora terdapat 17 indikator, personifikasi terdapat 11 indikator, perumpamaan epos terdapat 13 indikator, sinekdoke terdapat 24 indikator, dan allegori terdapat 8 indikator. (2) Nilai-nilai pendidikan dalam geguritan karya Muhammad Yamin MS meliputi: nilai pendidikan religius, nilai pendidikan moral, nilai pendidikan sosial, nilai pendidikan budaya. Nilai pendidikan religius terdapat 3 indikator, nilai pendidikan moral terdapat 10 indikator, nilai pendidikan sosial terdapat 8 indikator, dan nilai pendidikan budaya terdapat 1 indikator Kata-kata kunci: gaya bahasa, nilai pendidikan. ABSTRACT This study aims to: (1) describe the kinds of comparative language styles of Muhammad Yamin MS in Pisungsung geguritan and cerkak anthology, (2) determine the value of education in geguritan by Muhammad Yamin MS in Pisungsung geguritan and lan cerkak anthology. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The subject of research is in the form of geguritan by Muhammad Yamin MS in the 1997 anthology of geguritan and cerkak. The object of research is in the form of comparative language style and educational values in geguritan by Muhammad Yamin MS. The data collection technique used the observation and note technique. Data analysis using content analysis. The research instrument was the researcher himself assisted by books that were in accordance with the research focus and data recording cards. The data validity technique uses persistence. Presentation of analysis results using informal methods. The results of the study: (1) the comparative language style of Geguritan by Muhammad Yamin MS in Pisungsung geguritan and cerkak anthology includes: metaphor, personification, parable of epics, synekdoke, and allegories Metaphors have 17 indicators, personification there are 11 indicators, epic parables have 13 indicators, sinekdoke has 24 indicators, and allegories have 8 indicators. (2) The values of education in Geguritan by Muhammad Yamin MS include: the value of religious education, the value of moral education, the value of social education, the value of cultural education. There are 3 indicators of religious education value, 10 indicators of moral education, 8 indicators of social education, and 1 indicator of cultural education.

This study aims to gain an in-depth understanding of educational values in the novel Madogiwa No Totto-chan by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi with a qualitative approach that includes educational values in terms of the structure of the novel. Research methods. This research is a library research or library research that uses a qualitative approach with content analysis techniques. Conclusion of research findings: The main theme of this novel is EDUCATION, education that frees students to be creative, while the sub-theme is education must be adjusted to the development of the child's personality. The credentials found are: A mother must be wise in educating and caring for her children with special needs. A school principal or a teacher should be a leader who is brave to act in accordance with their respective beliefs and life principles. The educational values in this novel can be used as examples of learning in schools to help children with problems (special needs). An educator should be fun and not scold his students because educating children is not with anger but with advice, praise, and trust. Make kids confident, responsible, love each other, and help each other, introduce them to nature because nature stores various sources of knowledge. Educational values found are educational values related to religious education values, moral education values, social education values, and beauty education values. Recommendation: Madogiwa No Totto-chan's autobiographical novel (Totto-chan Little Girl in the Window) can be used as a learning tool for character education in schools in Indonesia because this Japanese novel has raised educational values that contain a number of noble values. One of the noble values is the value of education in the novel that abstracts the reality of Japanese society's life. This research aims to describe the structure of the text and the meaning of the poetry on the book Ta'līmu Al-Muta'allīm by Burhānuddīn Az-Zarnūji. This research will be analyzed through structural and Roman Ingarden's strata of norm approach which reveals about educational values. This descriptive qualitative research employs observation and note technique as a method of data collection, in which the researcher records data in the form of verses in the Ta'līmu Al-Muta'allīm book, especially those in chapter 5. The poetry data found, is analyzed by using data triangulation. The results of the research show that the text structure of the poetry of the book Ta'līmu Al-Muta'allīm by Burhānuddīn Az-Zarnūji consists of five layers, including 1) sound layer, 2) meaning layer, 3) layers of things that are stated, 4) the world layer, and 5) the metaphysical layer. Meanwhile, the educational values contain in the meaning of the poetry include the values of religious education, the values of moral education, the values of social education, the values of cultural education, and the values of aesthetic education.

The problems raised in this study are related to the analysis of educational values ​​in the novel Cahaya di Atas Cahaya by Oki Setiana Dewi. The educational aspects studied include aesthetic (beauty), moral, religious and social aspects. The purpose of this research is to describe the value of education in the novel Cahaya di Atas Cahaya by Oki Setiana Dewi and to find out the dominant value and its relevance in the reader's life. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The results of data analysis that have been carried out on the novel Cahaya di Atas Cahaya by Oki Setiana Dewi which is studied from its educational values, both aesthetics (beauty), moral, religious and social, strongly indicate the existence of educational values ​​that are beneficial to readers and connoisseurs of literature in particular. novelist. The value of education in the aesthetic education aspect tells about the beauties of real work as reality based on God's truth. The value of education, especially moral education, such as being devoted to parents, positive thinking in all things faced, not being arrogant and selfish, and always being able to care for others and not being arrogant towards something you have and being able to control yourself in any situation. Educational values ​​in the aspect of social education include always thinking positively towards others, needing each other, knowing hostility, having courtesy, always forgiving others mistakes, and being able to understand differences in beliefs. The value of religious education is such as the attitude of always being patient in dealing with endless problems, having good morals and ethics.

The study is conducted based on qualitative research design with descriptive analysis. The data are 67 passive construction in Indonesian and English as used in the novel “9 Summers 10 Autumns (Dari Kota Apel ke The Big Apple)” and translated into “9 Summers 10 Autumns (From the City of Apples to the Big Apple). The research problems are the first what are the corresponding equivalents of Indonesian passive in English as used in the Novel 9 Summers 10 Autumns and its translation, the second what is the translation method or procedure that used in the process of passive voice translation. The steps and procedures of discovering the answer to the both of research problems are shown under the discussion of research method which includes: (1) the data source, (2) method and technique of collecting the data consisting of observation method and note-taking technique; (3) method and technique of analyzing the data. The results of the study show that among the passive in Indonesian which can be identified in SL, most are marked by prefix di- (prefix di- + verb base) and (prefix di-+ verb base + suffix –kan, -i) which are also translated into passive in English (be+past participle ) with four types namely to infinitive translation, by agent translation (stated and implied) and the rest translated into active. This clearly reveals that some passives in SL are retained, namely translated into passive in English and some others are translated into actives. Second, from the whole data analysis the researcher found 4 types of translation methods or procedures used in the passive translation, namely literal translation, transposition, modulation, and adaptation.Keywords: Passive voice, translation procedures, novel

This focus issue of CEPS Journal raises two topics usually treated separately, Religious Education and the use of religious symbols in public schools. Both involve the challenge of applying liberal democratic principles of secularism and pluralism in a school setting and refract policies on religion under conditions of globalisation, modernisation and migration. I take this situation as a teachable moment and argue that it illustrates the potential of a particular kind of Religious Education, based on the scientific Study of Religion, for making sense of current debates in Europe, including the debate on religious education itself. However, this requires maintaining a spirit of free, unbiased comparative enquiry that may clash with political attempts to instrumentalise the subject as a means of integrating minority students into a value system.
