This study aims at observing the undergraduate students’ divergent approach experience toward their language teaching seminar’ presentation and discussion. Ninety-one students (n = 91) of English education department participated as the respondents. Data collection used a random sampling, whereas data analysis was examined through the descriptive statistics, simple correlation and two-tailed regression analysis with the significance level of .05. The divergent approach was found as a moderate category. The findings showed that M = 17.44; SD = 2.829 for learning control and objectives, M = 19.70; SD = 3.638 for language awareness, and M = 11.97; SD = 2.095 for students’ interaction with the significance level of F = 62.564; R² = .683; and p<.00. The partial linearity analysis of learning control and objectives showed that t = 3.645; p = .000, language awareness was t=2.648; p=.010, and students interaction was t = 4.341; p = .000. These three predictors contributed a positive and significant influence toward the divergent approach. In further, a step-wise equivalence was applied to accommodate the two-tailed regression analysis, where its equivalence was Y = 1.014 + .381X1 + .253X2 + .660X3.

This study aims at assessing four determinants of lecturers’ classroom management practices, in which 215 or 18.69% respondents participated in this study. Data analyses used descriptive statistics, Pearson correlations and regression analysis with the significance level of .05. The results showed that the conduciveness (t = 2.992; p = .003), diversity acceptance (t = 3.243; p = .001), disciplines engagement (t = 3.968; p = .000), and corrective decision (t = 3.045; p = .003) partially contributed positive and significant influence towards lecturers’ 28.8% teaching performance, where F = 21.209; R² = .288; p < .000. The analysis discloses two-tailed regression with Y = 12.660 + .225X1 + .175X2 + .237X3 + .142X4.

Abstract - Reinforcement has been used in many areas of educational institution. In the learning activity, reinforcements are given by the teacher as feedback for what students have done. By using reinforcement in the learning activity, the students are expected to feel comfortable to show themselves by responding questions, giving feedback, and expressing their opinions in the class. This study aims to investigate the effect of giving reinforcement by the teacher towards student's learning motivation. This research used the photovoice method and SHOWeD Analysis. The participants are 27 students in 5th semester of English Education Department in online class, consists of 7 males and 20 females with the average age of around 19-21 years old. The finding shows that giving reinforcement encourage student's motivation in the learning activity. Introduction. Currently, the sphere of tourism and the hospitality industry in Russia face a certain problem: the quality of students’ schooling, including in a foreign language, does not adequately meet the present-day requirements of the market. The actualisation of foreign language teaching content for future bachelors in the training profile 43.03.02 Tourism, to be implemented in accordance with the requirements of the educational and professional standards, is one of the main factors in the formation of universal competencies of future bachelors, securing their competitiveness in the labour market. Materials and methods. The methodological basis of the research is represented by the competence-based and professionally oriented approaches to teaching a foreign language. The key research methods included the analysis of scientific essays of Russian and foreign scientists on the stated problem and the experimental research carried out on the basis of Bunin Yelets State University (Russian Federation) with the participation of 30 undergraduate students of the 1st and 2nd years of study. Results. In the course of the research, the original foreign-language curriculum for the students of the above-cited training profile was developed and tested. A number of supplements to the traditional content of foreign-language teaching programme are presented, proceeding from the basic requirements of the modern educational and professional standards. The comparative analysis of the data obtained before and after the training revealed a significant dynamics in the formation of universal competencies of the future bachelor in the experimental group (44.7% and 83.3%, respectively), and moderate dynamics in the control group (43% and 69.3%, respectively), since temp= 3.05 is greater than the critical tcrit= 2.14 at the significance level of 0.05. Conclusions. The obtained research results confirm the hypothesis on the practicality of forming universal competencies of future bachelors in the sphere of tourism, in the course of foreign language teaching under the advanced programme including the content modules in accordance with the areas (spheres) of professional activity and the requirements of the educational and professional standards.
