Teaching materials utilization and learning models application appropriately determine the achievement of student’s knowledge competence. Chemistry knowledge competency in XI IPA class of SMAN 5 Padang has not been expected yet. One of the causes is the teaching materials have not been able to guide the students to run their own knowledge. One of the solutions is teaching material in the form of guided inquiry based LKS. This research aims to find out the effect guided inquiry based on worksheets on buffer solution toward student learning results in XI IPA class of SMAN 5 Padang. This research conducts is Quasi Experimental Research using research design Randomized Control Group Posttest Only Design. The population of the research is all students of class XI IPA SMAN5 Padang 2016/2017. Sampling is conducted by simple random technique. The sample of this research is XI IPA 3 class as experiment class and XI IPA 4 class as control class. The research instrumental that is used is the result of learning test which are objective options. There is get that the result of learning experimental class is 83,5 higher than the control class which is 77,4. T-test at the real level of 0.05 is got that the price of tcount (2.60)> ttable(2.00). This result shows that the learning result of student in experimental class is higher than the control class significantly. So it can be concluded that the utilization of guided inquiry based LKS on the material of buffer solution has effect towards the learning result of students of XI IPA class in SMAN 5 Padang

Learning innovation is an effort to improve the quality of learning. One form of innovation is the integration of brain gym learning techniques and various learning models, including the Children Learning in Science (CLIS) model.  However, so far, there has never been a study of learning innovations through the integration of brain gym techniques with the CLIS model. This study aims at finding out the optimizing of the Children Learning in Science (CLIS) models with brain gym to empower students' human circulatory conception. This study is quasi-experimental research of pretest-posttest Nonequivalent control group design. The population of this study was the students of class XI MIA SMA Negeri 7 Kupang, which consisted of 173 students. The sample of this study were students of class XI MIA1 and XI MIA 2, which consisted of 61 students. The instrument used was a test of human circulatory conception developed by Andriani (2017). The results showed that the increase in students' human circulatory conception in CLIS learning combined with a gym is 40.61% higher than the increase in students' human circulatory conception in CLIS learning. It can be concluded that the application of brain gym can optimize Children Learning In Science (CLIS) potential in empowering students' human circulatory conception.

The Aim of this research were to figure out the learning concept comprehension of students at class X at MAN Salidoin the academic year of 2016/2017 through Cooperative Studying Model Lottery Card Type (Arisan's Card). This was a quasi experimental research with Randomized Control Group OnlyDesign.The population of this research was of students at class X at MAN Salidoin the academic year of 2016/2017. Then, found that students as the experimental class and the control class. To get the class sample test done first then normality, its homogeneity and similarity in average for all classes of the population. After all the class known to normal, homogenous and have the same average then conducted the election of class sample randomly. Before testing the hypotheses, firstly applied the normality test and homogenety test to the sample. Then, tested the hypotheses by applying t-test formula. He got that test t (1,838) > tabel t (1,645) with 0,05 degree of freedom and with 95 % level of credence. Then he concluded that null hypothesis (H0) and the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted. So, the ability of the students in understanding Math Concept is higher through the Cooperative Studying Model Lottery Card Type (Arisan's Card) than the students taught through conventional learning.Keywords: Understanding on mathematic concept’s ability, learning model of cooperative (Lottery card).

Ethnicity is one of the critical factors in achieving learning outcomes. A specific learning model is needed to overcome the learning process with multi-ethnic students. Quasi-experimental research was carried out with four majoring ethnicities, i.e., Javanese, Banjar, Kutai and Buginese, in senior high school with class XI majoring in natural science in Samarinda. This study aimed to determine the effect of applying PBL supported by Think-Pair-Share learning models in empowering the understanding of concepts about cells and tissues of the four ethnicities’ students. The experimental design used a non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group. The instrument was a questionnaire for the survey and questions for the pretest-posttest. The data were analysed by Analysis of Co-Variance followed by the LSD test. The results showed that the application of PBL supported by Think-Pair-Share significantly affected (p < 0.05) the concepts understanding of multi-ethnic students about cells and tissues.   Keywords: Cells, Tissues, Concepts understanding, Ethnicity, Problem-Based Learning, Think-Pair-Share

This study aims to reveal the effect of the use of Student Worksheets based guided inquiry on salt hydrolysis material to the results of student learning class XI SMAN 13 Padang. This research is quasi experiment research, with research design Randomized Control Group Posttest Only Design. The population of this study is all students of class XI MIA SMAN 13 Padang 2016/2017. The sample was taken randomly by Purposive Sampling technique. The research instrument used is the result of learning test in the form of multiple choice questions. From the research result it can be disclosed that in the cognitive domain of experimental class using guided inquiry-based student worksheets obtain the average of learning result 80,5 and control class using student worksheets used by school (not based on guided inquiry) get the average result of learning result 73, 29. After the t-test at the real level of 0,05 it is found that the price is tcount&gt; ttable. This means that H1 is accepted, so it can be concluded that students learning outcomes using student worksheets based on inquiry are guided on salt hydrolysis material significantly higher than student worksheets used by school (not based on guided inquiry).

Abstract: Effect, Boiled Eggs, Pregnancy, Hemoglobin. The purpose of this study was to prove that Effect, Boiled Eggs, Pregnancy, Hemoglobin. To determine the effect of boiled eggs consumption to the increase of hemoglobin levels in the second trimester of pregnancy in Puskesmas Klaten Tengah. This study used a quasi-experimental research design with a non-randomized control group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study were pregnant women in Puskesmas Klaten Tengah with 30 samples. Sampling using purposive sampling with 15 samples as the treatment group and 15 samples as a control group. Analysis of the data by independent sample t-test. The hemoglobin levels change of the second trimester pregnant women between the pre and post boiled eggs consumption group and Fe tablet consumption group and non consumption showed 0.001 (<0.05) of p-value, it means that there have a differences in hemoglobin levels between the pre and post boiled eggs consumption group and Fe tablet consumption group and non consumption. Boiled eggs consumption are effective to increase hemoglobin levels in the second trimester of pregnancy in Puskesmas Klaten Tengah.

<p><em>This study aims at describing the effectiveness of local wisdom-based teaching materials on the creative writing skills of elementary school students. The sample of the study was 2<sup>nd</sup>-grade students at SDN 1 Campurdarat, which amounted to 45 students. The research design uses quasi-experimental research in the form of a nonrandomized control group pretest-posttest design. The data were collected using the instrument of creative writing skills. The analysis was performed by different tests using the Wilcoxon formula. The results showed that there were differences before and after the use of teaching materials based on local wisdom towards students' creative writing skills. The results of evaluating creative writing on each learning from learning 1 to 6 show the students' mastery in achieving creative writing criteria.</em></p>

This study aims to develop thematic teaching materials integrated with Riau Malay cultural values for grade IV elementary students in Pekanbaru by using the Educational Research and Development or Educational R&D method. The development research is carried out in 3 stages, namely: 1) the preliminary study conducted by applying a qualitative descriptive approach by distributing questionnaire and interviewing the teachers and the students in order to find out their actual needs of teaching materials 2) the development of teaching material designed and integrated with the Riau Malay cultural values, followed by expert judgment, revisions, and improvements, limited trials, as well as evaluation and improvement, 3) evaluation which includes the implementation of models created by the quasi- experimental method using the pretest-posttest control group design. The results showed that the research team designed the required teaching material in the second stage in the form of a book entitled ”The 2013 Curriculum Integrated Thematic Supplement,” which can be used by elementary schools in Pekanbaru.

Application of learning models POEW done to minimize the quantity of misconceptions experienced by students. The research was conducted by applying the POEW model of the experimental class and POE model of the control class. A method use quasi-experimental by design “Randomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design” implemented in X class one of high school at the city Cimahi in 2012/2013. Research results show that the description of misconception experienced by students in the experimental class lower than the control class. Responses of students to learn with the application of this POEW generally positive.

The background of this research is based on diversity of Indonesia in terms of social, cultural, religious, language and ethnic groups. The specific problem in this research lies on the diversity of students in one public elementary school in Cimahi City, situated in the area of the Indonesian Army. Therefore, this research seeks to investigate the difference in improvement of students’ cross cultural skills between learning using VBA (Visual Basic of Application)-based Monopoly game teaching materials in Microsoft Excel and conventional learning. This research aims at improving students’ cross cultural skills, and observing the differences or disconnection of the improvement of students’ cultural skills between learning using VBA-based teaching materials and conventional learning. This research employed a quasi-experimental method with a non-randomized pretest-posttest control group design. A quantitative observation instrument in the form of a checklist was used as the research instrument. The results revealed that both learning using a teaching material of VBA-based Monopoly in Microsoft Excel and conventional learning were able to improve the students’ cross cultural skills. However, based on the result of N-Gain test, learning using teaching material of VBA-based Monopoly game in Microsoft Excel was better than conventional learning.

The aim of this research is to know the effect of CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting and Extending) learning models to students concept understanding of atomic strukture. This research is quasi experimental research with a nonequivalent control group. The population in the research is class X SMA Negeri 1 Kampar Timur. The samples in the research was X MIPA 2 as an experimental class and class X MIPA 5 as a control class which was determined randomly. The experimental class was treated with the implementation of CORE learning model while the control class with a scientific approach. Data was collected using essay test instruments. The data obtained from test were analyzed descriptively and statistically by the test-t right side. The results of data analysis obtained tcount = 5,63 and ttable = 1,66 with α = 0,05, dk = 74. Tcount > ttable is 5,63 > 1,66 meaning that the implementation of CORE learning model can improve students concept understanding on the subject of atomic structure in the class X MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Kampar Timur. Criteria students concept understanding in the experimental class with an average N-gain of 0,80 while the average N-gain in the control class is 0,69.
