The digital in museums, in particular the use of social media, has intensified over the past few years, with special intensity during the year 2020. The pandemic of COVID-19 become an opportunity to reflect on the potential of social media, and the importance of this tool for the connection and collaboration between museums and their audiences. Faced with the pandemic scenario, most governments felt on the verge of decreeing the confinement of citizens, as well as the closure of all non-essential services for an indeterminate period. Museums were forced to close their doors and faced a moment in their History that had hitherto preceded it, of confinement, restrictions on circulation, closing of borders, breaking of tourism, the feeling of insecurity and generalized fear that drove visitors away from the rooms of museums. Social media have become an essential tool for museums in fulfilling their basic functions, as well as functioning as a vehicle for sharing content about the museum and museum collections that functioned in battling isolation and loneliness, as well as promoting well-being, disseminating education about the virus, sharing knowledge about artifacts, and so on.

Over the last twenty years, reenactment has been appropriated by both contemporary artistic production and art-theoretical discourse, becoming a distinctive strategy to engage with history and memory. As a critical act of repetition, which is never neutral in reactualizing the past, it has established unconventional modes of historicization and narration. Collecting work by artists, scholars, curators, and museum administrators, the volume investigates reenactment's potential for a (re)activation of layered temporal experiences, and its value as an ongoing interpretative and political gesture performed in the present with an eye to the future. Its contributions discuss the mobilization of archives in the struggle for inclusiveness and cultural revisionism; the role of the body in the presentification and rehabilitation of past events and (impermanent) objects; the question of authenticity and originality in artistic practice, art history, as well as in museum collections and conservation practices.

History has been adapted as a compulsory subject since 1931 alongside math and science. However, learning history in Indonesia could be a challenge since Indonesia placed in the second lowest of literature behaviour. For the past decades, educators have been implementing the term of in class edutainment and gamification. One of the forms of edutainment could be accomplished by Augmented Reality. This project is conducted to provide an alternative learning tool in history learning, especially for elementary school students who tend to have a negative paradigm that learning history means reading textbooks. In addition, the function of Augmented Reality will be beneficial to students and teachers in order to support multiple learning styles without losing its substance as it is based on the K13 curriculum
