Sidodadi Village is one of the villages located in southern Malang area located in Gedangan sub-district. The village is one of the villages that has the most extraordinary natural potentials such as Ungapan Beach, Bajulmati Beach, Parangdowo Beach, Jolangkung Beach, Bengkung Beach, Ngudel Beach, and Ngantep Beach, which is a beach located in the southern cross of Malang Regency. Rows of mountains are sturdy and beautiful to make the tourists interested to travel there.Sidodadi village area bounded with Sumbermanjing wetan district in the east, village elephant rejo in the west. On the other hand, not only the potential of nature is extraordinary, but the results of the abundant earth. Rice, corn, coconut, banana, rice, cassava, mangosteen, durian, and palm are natural products that can be processed there. The potential possessed and remarkable until now has not been published or promoted through websites and social media, to hog the visitors who more aplagi most visitors see the first reference before coming directly.The abundant natural resources with the stammered human resources of technology will make the potential of nature unknown to the wider community. Coral cadets and devices in the village of Sidodadi maximal educated High School (SMA) and only two people who can take the bench lecture. This is where the turmoil experienced by villagers Sidodadi where they can not publish the area. Abstract: Information technology era requires speed and processing to obtain information. Users are required to quickly obtain and process information as needed. The use of the internet covers many fields of education but the use of the internet also covers the scope of business and transactions. Development of internet technology is widely used in business and sales transactions. Because the internet can create new entrepreneurs. Internet-based social media is an application service that is widely used as a means for the purpose of publishing a service or product. In the implementation of the service, the pre-test method was used which was given to the mothers of the village of RT 03 RW 01 by giving a questionnaire to measure their understanding of social media. Furthermore, given the delivery of material on understanding social media and the internet. The next method is carried out in practice to implement it. This will provide benefits in understanding social media and the internet for business ventures, both businesses that are established individually or in groups. Because social media can be used as a promotional media, see market developments, provide experiences for consumers and serve as social media for competitors. The results obtained from this service, the community / village mothers have business facilities, namely using the social media Facebook. With this media, the native mothers of the village can promote or sell their products there.. Keywords: internet; social media; transactions  Abstrak: Era teknologi informasi memerlukan kecepatan dan pemrosesan untuk mendapatkan informasi. Pengguna dituntut untuk lebih cepat memperoleh dan mengolah informasi sesuai kebutuhan. Penggunaan internet mencangkup banyak bidang pendidikan tetapi penggunaan internet juga mencangkup lingkup bidang usaha dan transaksi.Perkembagan teknologi internet banyak digunakan dalam bidang usaha dan transaksi penjualan. Kerena internet bisa menciptakan para enterpreneur yang baru. Internet berbasis media sosial merupakan suatu layanan aplikasi yang banyak dimanfaatkan sebagai sarana untuk tujuan mempublikasikan suatu jasa atau produk. Dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian digunakan metode pra test yang diberikan kepada ibu-ibu tiban kampung RT 03 RW 01 dengan memberikan koesioner untuk mengukur pemahaman tentang media social. Selanjutnya diberikan penyampaian materi tentang pemahaman media social dan internet. Metode selanjutnya di lakukan pelaksaan prakterk untuk mengimplemantasikannya.  Hal ini akan memberikan pemanfaatand dalam pemahaman media social dan internet  untuk usaha bisnis, baik usaha yang didirikan secara individual maupun kelompok. Karena media sosial dapat dijadikan suatu media promosi, melihat perkembangan pasar, memberikan pengalaman bagi konsumen dan sebagai media sosial kompetitor. Hasil yang didapat dari pengabdian ini, masyarakat/ibu-ibu tiban kampung mempunyai sarana usaha yaitu menggunakan media sosial facebook. Dengan media tersebut ibu-ibu tiban kampung dapat mempromosikan atau menjual produknya di sana. Kata kunci : media sosia; internet; transaksi

The world has entered the era of digital democracy. Netizens (citizens of the internet) can deliver the facts or truths of an event through online media. On the other hand, the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has changed world order in different terms. The netizens can use parrhesia to deliver views to the world through internet. This paper studies the parrhesia democracy by netizens about COVID-19. The used questions were answered by the discourse semiotics approach. Data collection was done through distributing questionnaires online. The results revealed that the netizens’ freedom to use parrhesia concerning COVID-19 on the internet media raises ambiguous facts or information. Various myths or hoaxes that spread on social media have confused people in dealing with COVID-19. Social media with e-democracy provides free and uncontrolled opportunities in distributing opinions. However, the freedom to provide information without based on facts also results in myths or hoaxes which, later, have a universal meaning in society.

This study aims to portray the role of teachers in fostering the framework of Islam rahmatan lil alamin. It is worth noticing to declare that education is one of very pivotal themes in Islam. Millennial era is a digital and online era that illustrates the vast advancement of technology, including the use of social media. There is lot of information provided in the internet. On the other side, students have no ability yet to filter any information that they got. This condition encourages teachers to guide their students in filtering the internet content. This study reveals that teacher responsibilities in the millennial era are very complex. A teacher plays an important role as not only an instructor, but also an educator. It indicates that the role of teachers is not only teaching or transferring knowledge, but the most important thing is creating good behavior of the students. They are encouraged to have not only good academic qualification, but also good moral values such as rahmatan lil alamin values including humanity, cooperation, prophetic social ethic, tolerance and pluralism, balance, good modeling, dialogic pedagogy, and the enhancement of human resources.

This study examines the link between cyberdependency and school performance among students in the 3rd grade of the Mamie Houphouët Fêtai High School in Bingerville. It covers a sample of one hundred and ninety (190) female students between the ages of 14 and 17. Students’ addiction to the Internet and social networks is measured using a questionnaire based on Vavassori et al. (2002) and Young’s Internet Addiction Test in its French version validated by Khazaal (2008). As for academic performance, they are verified using the end-of-term scoring matrices. The results, obtained using student T and Anova, show that students in the third grade using the Internet as teaching tools have higher academic performance than their peers who use it as entertaining instruments. All these different results are explained by the models of Zuckerman (1969) and Viau (1994). Ultimately, this study will inform and raise awareness among students, educational system actors and parents about the risks of excessive use of the Internet and social networks on school learning.

Indonesian’s Millennials are estimated to reach 70% of the productive population in 2020-2030 (BPS 2018), who cannot be separated from the internet and social media (Harahap 2017). Due to this fact, (Hsu 2018) and (Benini 2018) claim that millennials are afraid of being left behind by ephemeral content which will disappear within 24 hours so that many social media platforms are equipped with these temporary content features and companies are using temporary content strategies to reach more consumers. SMEs on the other hand have low knowledge of ephemeral content, even though 84% of millennials buy products due to the influence of social media, where ephemeral content lies within (Boen 2016). In the other hand, word-of-mouth has a significant impact on customer purchasing decisions until now. Along with the change to the digital era, word-of-mouth is being accelerated with the help of the internet, it called e-WOM, where many businesses use social media or other online platforms to promote business. The results showed that the two variables of ephemeral content and word-of-mouth with the help of the internet had a significant effect on customer purchase intentions, especially the millennial customer for SMEs in Surabaya City. In the future, by implementing ephemeral content in SMEs media social will increases their customer’s e-WOM.

Despite the widespread embrace of the Internet and the second nature way we each turn to Google for information, to social media to see our friends, to netporn and Netflix for recreation, film and television tells a very different story. On screen, a character dating online, gaming online or shopping online, invariably serves as a clue that they’re somewhat troubled: they may be a socially excluded nerd at one end of the spectrum, through to being a paedophile or homicidal maniac seeking prey at the other. On screen, the Internet is frequently presented as a clue, a risk factor and a rationale for a character’s deviance or danger. While the Internet has come to play a significant role in screen narratives, an undercurrent of many depictions – in varying degrees of fervour – is that the Web is complicated, elusive and potentially even hazardous. This paper draws from research conducted for my book Cyberbullies, Cyberactivists, Cyberpredators: Film, TV, and Internet Stereotypes (Rosewarne, 2016). While that volume provided an analysis of the denizens of the Internet through the examination of over 500 film and television examples – profiling screen stereotypes such as netgeeks, neckbeards, and netaddicts – this paper focuses on some of the recurring themes in portrayals of the Internet, shedding light on the how, and perhaps most importantly why, the fear of the technology is so common. This paper presents a series of themes used to frame the Internet as negative on screen including dehumanisation, the Internet as a badlands, the Web as possessing inherent vulnerabilities and the cyberbogeyman.

Understanding political communication using a networked model is not simply a case of opposing linear with nonlinear communication, of mainstream media with social media, or television with the internet. Rather it is about seeing the whole of the communication system as complex, unstable and indeterminate. Networked communication includes within it both broadcast and dialogue but does not separate them out. Each part of the system has the capacity to determine the potential of the other, with meaning a product of the change they effect on the system as a whole. Understanding broadcast as existing within a networked model reopens the potential for invention that the statistical model of information must foreclose in order to function.

This chapter aims to better understand what citizens think regarding the currently available e-government public services in Egypt. This is done through an analysis of a public opinion survey of Egyptian citizens, examining citizens’ use and associated issues with usage of e-government portals. This chapter is different from existing research in that most of the studies that examine e-government and citizens focus on developed countries. This study focuses on a developing country, Egypt, as an emerging democracy, which has very unique and important challenges in the delivery of public services to its citizens. The results revealed that only gender, daily use of the internet, and the desire to convert all of the services to electronic ones were important factors that affected the use of the Egyptian e-government portal. On the other hand, age, education, trust in information confidentiality on the internet, and believing in e-government did not play any role in using e-government.
