The current research aims at identifying and measuring the political knowledge of the students of the two universities of Al- Balqaa in Jordan and Omar Al- Mokhtar in Libya. The two communities are almost similar in terms of the social formation, Arab customs and traditions, the Bedouin values, the difference in the institutional age and the political stability. The study attempts to measure and compare the political knowledge in the communities of the two universities using the descriptive and comparative analytical method. The study uses a 400 random questionnaire of 30 paragraphs to measure eight indicators divided into internal and external political knowledge, and other aspects of knowledge: general political knowledge, knowledge of the political institutions and leaders, the political interest, the geographical and historical knowledge, and knowledge of the methods of exercising the political process. The study also attempts to identifying the most important sources and the role of the university in university students’ political knowledge. The results show that the level of the political knowledge is medium while its level in the sample of the Jordanian students is high. According to the samples, the internal political knowledge is more than the external knowledge with a lack of interest in the political matters. The samples do not consider the political matters as their priorities. The political knowledge as a whole needs to much effort to be exerted to confront the current circumstances. The variables of the place of resident, age and the educational level make big difference in the political knowledge. In contrast, the level of the parental education does not create big differences.

The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling and obtained a sample of 33 districts/cities in Central Java. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The  results showed that the Regional Revenue and the Difference in Budget Financing have a positive and significant effect on capital expenditure, then the General Allocation Fund and the Special  Allocation Fund have a positive but not significant effect on capital  expenditure. The results of the determination test show that capital  expenditure is influenced by variables Independent of 79.5% and  the remaining 20.5% explained by variables outside this study. So the highest contribution is PAD in contributing to Capital Expenditures, because the contribution of the Balancing Fund, namely the General Allocation Fund and the Special Allocation Fund, is relatively small, meaning that the dependence on the Central Government is small,so the conclusion is that the higher the Regional Original Revenue, the greater the authority of the regional government in implement policies so that the region can be independent.

Background: The role of hormones in the female body is well known in reproductive age. Several studies have been conducted regarding hormonal fluctuations and their association with obsessive-compulsive disorder, but the role of psychological issues relevant to it has been ignored and only hormonal fluctuation and its impact were the target. Thus, the main purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between Self-Concept Clarity (SCC) and obsessive-compulsive tendencies (Obsessive-Compulsive Concerns about Cleanliness (OCC) and Obsessive-Compulsive concerns about Harm and Injury (OCHI)). Another objective was to identify the difference between SCC, OCC, and OCHI in healthy and unhealthy females. Methods: A sample of (N=210) females, an equal number of healthy and unhealthy females, from different hospitals and the general population, with a mean age of 21 years, was selected by using convenience sampling technique as a type of non-probability sampling. Study participants were selected from the same city. Results: Comparison of healthy and unhealthy females revealed high levels of SCC and obsessive-compulsive tendencies among unhealthy females and also a significant positive correlation was found between these constructs. Conclusion: The females with irregular hormonal fluctuations develop obsessive-compulsive tendencies and these people are most sensitive to unimportant affairs, even sensitive to themselves that might create clarity in their self-concept.

This study aimed to create an image of how research integrates in university teaching particularly in STEM education in a state university in Philippines. The participants were 104 teachers from five campuses of the university that offers STEM undergraduate programs. A quantitative research design was employed to address the central theme: The identification of the gap between the beliefs and perceptions of STEM Educators regarding the role of research in university teaching. T-test was used to test the difference between the actual and ideal beliefs of teachers. Cohen’s d values were computed to determine the effect sizes. The present study revealed that the STEM teachers highly valued the role of research in teaching. They especially considered the development of creative and critical dispositions as the most important goals of integrating research into teaching. However, the teachers reported low actual integration of research into their current teaching, revealing a major gap between their beliefs and the perceived actual integration research into their own teaching practices as evident in the result of the statistical tests. It further showed that institutional background appeared to be critical in the integration of research in teaching. Ultimately, STEM education in the university is emphatic on research content in the delivery of instruction while creating opportunities for learners to participate along the learning process. However, a research-based approach remains to be unpopular, much less for a research-oriented classroom. Strengthening research support and widening the scope of research culture are recommended.
