Abstract: Community participation to reduce and avoid the risk of disasters is important by increasing public awareness and capacity. This study aims to describe the participation of communities and governments on the coast in reducing the risk of disaster in Lambu District, Bima Regency. The method used in this research is qualitative research method. The method of determining informants, the way of determining informants in this study is by purposive sampling. Data collection method is done through observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis used is data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The result of the research, namely (a) mangrove tree planting and greening around the beach is one of the efforts of the Local Government in NTB, especially in Nggelu Village (b) legal counseling to the people of Nggelu Village, providing knowledge to local fishermen about the legislation related to marine and fishery. The advice in the research is that the coastal communities of Nggelu Village to better maintain the coastal environment by not littering and maintaining the sustainability of mangrove forests and not cutting them down.Abstrak: Partisipasi masyarakat untuk mengurangi dan menghindari resiko bencana penting dilakukan dengan cara meningkatkan kesadaran dan kapasitas masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan partisipasi masyarakat dan pemerintah di pesisir dalam mengurangi resiko bencana di Kecamatan Lambu Kabupaten Bima. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian  kualitatif. Metode penentuan informan, cara penentuan informan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan purposive sampling. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian yaitu (a) penanaman pohon mangrove dan penghijauan di sekitar pantai merupakan salah satu upaya Pemerintah Daerah di NTB khususnya yang terjadi di Desa Nggelu (b) penyuluhan hukum terhadap masyarakat Desa Nggelu, memberikan pengetahuan terhadap para nelayan setempat tentang peraturan perundang-undagan yang berkaitan dengan kelautan dan perikanan. Adapun saran dalam penelitian yaitu masyarakat wilayah pesisir pantai Desa Nggelu agar lebih menjaga lingkungan pesisir dengan tidak membuang sampah sembarangan dan menjaga kelestarian hutan bakau (mangrove) degan tidak menebangnya.

This research studied about how the mythical meaning of Banyu (water) applyed in Banjar language based on the lexicon  and contextual source. The purpose of this research was describing the myth meaning of Banyu in Banjar language based on its lexicon source and the function based on its contextl. The research method was qualitative descriptive.The data collection techniques had used  observing-conversation  technique. The frame of work was data collection, data processing, and results of data analysis. The sampling technique that used in this paper was the purposive sampling, the sampling technique of data source collection with considering. The data collection that had been takenfrom January  to December 2017. The place where data were collectedwas at Padang Village, Banjar Regency. The data presentation was using ordinary words. The result showed thath  myth meaning of Banyu that applyed in Banjar language based on lexicon source consisted of  original source, material, and pars proto whilee based on contextual were ordinary and magical, or religious. Later, it was used  as regular drinking water,  therapy water, and  medication.Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang bagaimana aplikasi makna mitos Banyu pada bahasa banjar berdasarkan sumber leksikon dan  kontekstual. Tujuan penelitian meliputi deskripsi aplikasi makna mitos banyu pada bahasa banjar berdasarkan sumber leksikon dan fungsi Banyu dalam bahasa Banjar berdasarkan kontekstual.  Metode yang digunakan adalah deskrieptif kualitatif. Teknik pengambilan data adalah simak dan libat cakap. Langkah kerja adalah pengumpulan data, pengolahan data, dan hasil analisis data. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam tulisan ini adalah  purposive sampling, yaitu teknik pengambilan sampel sumber data yang mempertimbangan waktu pengambilan data pada bulan Januari sampai  bulan desember 2017. Tempat pengambilan data di Desa Padang, Kabupaten Banjar. Penyajian data  menggunakan kata-kata biasa. Hasil penelitian aplikasi makna mitos banyu pada bahasa banjar berdasarkan sumber leksikonnya terdiri atas sumber asal, bahan, dan pars proto, sedangkan berdasarkan konstektual  bersifat biasa dan magis, atau religi. Ada yang difungsikan sebagai air minum biasa, terapi, dan  pengobatan.

School autonomy with its local curriculum as a sign for an area will provide opportunities for the region to develop its regional potential, including North Maluku, where most of the people live in coastal areas. Regional autonomy opens up space for the region to improve its education, and the coastal communities of North Maluku must be of special concern because of the potential of fisheries, coral reefs, mangrove forests, marine tourism islands, and others not touched by skilled hands, because they are not taught in education . Not to mention the local potential and cultural values of the people who are very very diverse which tend to be ignored. Even though all of this is the foundation supporting the national strength and integrity of the NKRI. Over time, the ASEAN Ecconomy Community (AEC) or the ASEAN Economic Community (MEA) was present and became a challenge for the people of North Maluku. If the education of the people of North Maluku is not qualified and ignores local values, then the output of education will be spectators and slaves in their own country. Ki Hadjar Dewantara has reminded us that "our culture is pressured by European culture; this is good, but even the big language seems to be hanging up ... In carrying out its role as a family planning instructor, the duties and functions of family planning instructors are also influenced by the people around them who can support their performance and hinder their performance. Family planning extension workers often interact with the community as program targets, either directly or indirectly. This research is intended to see how much influence the social environment has on the performance of family planning instructors. The research method used is quantitative. The data was collected using a questionnaire that had been tested for its validity and reliability. The population in this study were the Palembang and Prabumulih family planning instructors with a sample of 30 people and were taken using a purposive sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that the social environment has a significant and positive influence on the performance of the extension workers by 75 percent. This means that the better the social environment, the better the performance of the family planning instructors.

The people of Pandu Raya Village, Parindu Subdistrict, Sanggau Regency, still use non-timber forest products which are used as raw materials for webbing. The research aims to analyze the use and describe the making of woven from non-timber forest products by the people of Pandu Raya Village, Parindu District, Sanggau Regency. The research method was carried out by interview. Retrieval of data using purposive sampling techniques. The results found 11 types of non-timber forest products used, namely 8 species of uwi such as uwi omak (Calamus javanensis Blume), uwi joronang (Daemonorops melanochaetes Blume), uwi siguh (Calamus caesius Blume), uwi golapak (Daemonorops geniculata (Giff) Mart) , uwi lowa (Korthalasia echinometra Blume), uwi danan (Calamus trachycoleus Becc), uwi marao (Korthalsia rigida Blume) and uwi joroyat (Calamus manan Miq). 1 type of korupok (Pandanus tectorius). 1 type of sago (Metroxylon sago) and 1 type of poring lantae (Gigantochloa hasskarliana). The highest utilization value (UV) was uwi omak (Calamus javanensis Blume) with a utilization value (0.8488) while the lowest utilization value was uwi danan (Calamus trachycoleus Becc) with a utilization value (0.3488). Of the 11 types of non-timber forest products used include stems with a percentage (50%), fronds with a percentage (9%) and leaves with a percentage (41%). The resulting webbing is in the form of raga, jarai, so`ok, tomik, korosah, punjuk, juah, jampot, koranyak, simpae and bakol, omaa` korupok, sorok, bomap, omaa` sago, roat sago, copat, limpak and oyok podi.Keywords: Non-Timber Forest Products, Utilization, Wicker. Masyarakat Desa Pandu Raya, Kecamatan Parindu, Kabupaten Sanggau, masih memanfaatkan hasil hutan bukan kayu yang dijadikan bahan baku anyaman. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemanfaatan dan mendeskripsikan pembuatan anyaman dari hasil hutan bukan kayu oleh masyarakat Desa Pandu Raya, Kecamatan Parindu, Kabupaten Sanggau. Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan wawancara. Pengambilan data menggunakan teknik Purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian ditemukan 11 jenis hasil hutan bukan kayu yang dimanfaatkan yaitu 8 jenis uwi seperti uwi omak (Calamus javanensis Blume), uwi joronang (Daemonorops melanochaetes Blume), uwi siguh (Calamus caesius Blume), uwi golapak (Daemonorops geniculata (Giff) Mart), uwi lowa (Korthalasia echinometra Blume), uwi danan (Calamus trachycoleus Becc), uwi marao (Korthalsia rigida Blume) dan uwi joroyat (Calamus manan Miq). Korupok 1 jenis (Pandanus tectorius). Sago 1 jenis (Metroxylon sagu) dan poring lantae 1 jenis (Gigantochloa hasskarliana). Nilai pemanfaatan (UV) tertinggi yaitu uwi omak (Calamus javanensis Blume) dengan nilai pemanfaatan (0,8488) sedangkan nilai pemanfaatan terendah yaitu uwi danan (Calamus trachycoleus Becc) dengan nilai pemanfaatan (0,3488). Dari 11 jenis hasil hutan bukan kayu yang dimanfaatkan meliputi batang dengan persentase (50%), pelepah dengan persentase (9%) dan daun dengan persentase (41%). Anyaman yang dihasilkan berupa raga, jarai, so`ok, tomik, korosah, pingat, juah, jampot, koranyak, simpae dan bakol, omaa` korupok, sorok, bomap, omaa` sago, roat sago, copat, limpak dan oyok podi.Kata Kunci: Anyaman, Hasil Hutan Bukan Kayu, Pemanfaatan

Aesthetic tastes of a person to an art form are determined by the knowledge and experience that comes from the culture of the community. In this regard, this study aims to determine the aesthetic tastes of coastal communities as reflected in the collaborative packaging of the traditional art of Barong Ngesti Wargo Budoyo. The method used was a qualitative research method with data collection techniques, observation, interviews and documentation, then the data were analyzed based on interactive data analysis which the flow were data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and verification. The results showed that the collaborative packaging of the traditional art of Barong Ngesti Wargo Budoyo received tremendous appreciation from coastal communities, it was shown that every performance of this art was always full of audiences of all ages. The audience in the show as if there is no distance, the audience can also interact with players. The phenomenon that occurs in collaborative performances of traditional arts, indicates that the collaborative packaging of traditional arts represents the packaging of shows that suits the aesthetic tastes of coastal communities.  Community tastes based on their characteristics can be categorized into popular taste.

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan prosesi dan esensi acara Mandi Bakumbo dalam pernikahan adat Melayu di Pekanbaru Provinsi Riau. Pendekatan yang digunakan untuk mengurai hasil penelitian adalah pendekatan seni, budaya dan esensi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskritif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan Observasi (dokumentasi) dan Wawancara (Interview). Teknik analisis data menggunakan model analisis data Miles dan Huberman yaitu Pengumpulan data, Reduksi data, Penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tradisi mandi bakumbo menjadi salah satu fokus kebudayaan yang keberadaannya diakui secara adat istiadat dan sebagai warisan budaya oleh masyarakat Kota Pekanbaru, selain itu tradisi ini memiliki makna dan nilai yang penting bagi masyarakat Kota Pekanbaru.  Kata Kunci: esensi, mandi bakumbo, tradisi Melayu.AbstractThis study aims to describe the procession and essence of the Mandi Bakumbo event in a Malay traditional wedding in Pekanbaru, Riau Province. The approach used to parse the results of research is the approach of art, culture and essence. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection is done by Observation (documentation) and Interview (Interview). Data analysis techniques using the Miles and Huberman data analysis models, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of the study showed that the tradition of mandi bakumbo became one of the focuses of culture whose existence was recognized in customs and as a cultural heritage by the people of Pekanbaru City, in addition this tradition had significance and value for the people of Pekanbaru City. The purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of information literacy on the preparedness of the people of Garut Regency in facing the threat of landslide. The data ini this study are the people of Garut Regency who have been affected by landslides based on the 2010 population census based on gender. The research method uses quantitative patterns in the form of surveys. The results showed that the magnitude of the impact of the ability to identify and find the location of  information on public awareness in facing the threat of landslides by 38%. The impact of landslide information literacy can increase the preparedness of the people of Garut Regency by 57%. The conclusion is the impact of information literacy has a significant impact on the preparedness of the people of Garut Regency in facing the threat of landslides.

This study aims to describe the rhetorical structure of the master of ceremonies and the function of Akikah for the community in Akikah events in the Lubuklinggau City. The research method used is a qualitative method. Data collection techniques using the technique of record, see, and proficient. Data analysis techniques with steps to transcribe data, data reduction, data presentation, interpretation, and conclusions. Test the validity of the data by member checking and expert validation test. The results showed that the rhetoric structure of the master of ceremonies in the Akikah ceremony in Lubuklinggau City consisted of: 1) opening the Akikah ceremony, including opening greetings, thanksgiving to God, reciting basmallah, and conveying the purpose of the event, 2) The contents of the Akikah ceremony, including: delivery of the composition of the arrangement Akikah program, introduction to the next program (transition) by inviting the reading of the Koran, introduction to the reading of the Koran, introduction to the next program (transition) section to deliver a speech, the host commenting on the delivery of greetings, introduction to the next event (transition) part of the reading of Al-Barzanzi, introduction to the next event (transition) section of baby hair shaving, and the host's commentary on baby hair shaving, and 3) closing of the Akikah event includes the introduction of the next program section (transition) of prayer reading, carrier comments the event took the form of an apology, and closing greetings. Then, akikah has a function for the people of Lubuklinggau City, namely as a media to announce news of the birth of a baby, as a form of gratitude to Allah, cultivate faith, implement Islamic law, can provide intercession for both parents, and make a child who is pious or saleha.

<p>Mangrove forest is one natural resource which essential for the life of living creatures that lives on its surrounding. The existence of mangrove forests has become an integral part of the lives of coastal communities; hence the existence of mangrove forests should be maintained and preserved. Mangrove forest sustainability cannot be separated from the behavior of the people who live around that forest. The objective of this research was (1) to examine the behavior of the coastal communities conserving mangrove forests, (2) to examine the factors related to coastal communities’ behavior in managing and conserving mangrove forest. The populations were the 100 heads of fisherman households taken from Tekolabbua and Pundata Baji Village of Pangkep District. This research was correlational research. This data was analyzed using Spearman Rank correlation by using SPSS programming. The result shows that the behavior of coastal communities in the preservation Pangkep mangrove forests is in the middle level. Factors related to this are behavior is the intensity of extension activities and environmental support.</p><p>Keywords: coastal community behavior, managing and conserving mangrove forests</p>

AbstractThis research is aimed to explain the efforts to mitigation the disaster by people who are living along the Kapuas River based on local wisdom. This research method uses a qualitative approach with the descriptive research approach, by describing how the efforts of the people to mitigation the danger of flooding by using local wisdom. The research informants were person who living on the riverbank and assisted by community leaders. The results of the research explained that the efforts of the flood mitigations that conducted by coastal communities is based on local wisdom consisting of non-material local wisdom and material local wisdom. The non-material wisdom is in the form of advice and recommendations, norms, and signs of flood disasters, while the local wisdom are in the form of material in the form of a building structure adapted to the potential of flooding and supporting facilities such as the availability of canoes, docks, village hall buildings and the availability of supporting equipment in flood danger of disaster mitigation to the community.   Penelitian ini membahas mengenai upaya mitigasi bencana bahaya banjir oleh masyarakat yang bermukim di sepanjang pinggiran sungai berdasarkan kearifan lokal. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif, menggambarkan bagaimana upaya masyarakat yang berada di pinggiran sungai mengatasi atau menanggulangi bahaya banjir dengan menggunakan kearifan lokal. Adapun informan peneletian ini adalah masyarakat yang bermukim dipinggiran sungai dan dibantu dengan pemuka masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa upaya mitigasi bencana banjir yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat pesisir di pinggiran sungai untuk meminimalisir resiko bencana banjir berdasarkan kearifan lokal yang terdiri dari kearifan lokal non material dan kearifan lokal material. Adapun kearifan non material berupa nasihat-nasihat dan anjuran, normanorma, dan tanda-tanda bencana banjir, sedangkan kearifan lokal berupa material berupa struktur bangunan disesuaikan potensi banjir dan fasilitas pendukung seperti ketersediaan sampan, dermaga, bangunan balai desa dan ketersediaan peralatan pendukung dalam mitigasi bencana bahaya banjir pada masyarakat pinggiran sungai.
