Simplicia of turmeric and ginger is widely cultivated and developed by local farmers. Making these simplicia often does not meet the quality requirements because the process is still traditional and there are no guidelines used, there are still many raw materials for turmeric and ginger. The farmers of Ponorogo Regency cannot penetrate the traditional drug factory market. Objective: To determine the quality of turmeric and curcuma simplicia in Ponorogo. Method: Simplicia samples originating from Slahung village, Slahung sub-district, Ponrogo Regency were taken by purposive sampling. Quality testing is carried out according to FHI Issue I of 2008 and Republic of Indonesia BPOM Regulation Number 12 of 2014. Results: In testing turmeric rhizomes, referring to BPOM Number 12 of 2014 on water content testing, AKK test and ALT test meet the requirements. In the first edition of FHI parameters in 2008 did not meet the requirements of the curcuminoid test parameters, total ash content test, acid insoluble ash test, ethanol soluble extract test, water soluble juice test, but at the test of essential oil content and shrinkage test drying meets the requirements. None of the ginger rhizomes meet the quality test requirements. Conclusions and suggestions: Simplicia of turmeric and ginger in Ponorogo Regency has not met the quality requirements of traditional medicine and it is expected that farmers improve in the planting, harvesting and post-harvesting processes.

Bromelain is one of the protease that can be produced from all of parts of the pineapple plants (Ananas comosus). It has potential to improve quality of local Indonesian food such as tempeh gembus, virgin coconut oil (VCO), and dumbo catfish based fish sauce (DCBFS). Tempeh gembus is a traditional food that has unique characteristics especially in its taste because it contains amino acids. VCO attracts consumers because of its health aspect. Its raw materials are available in Indonesia. DCBS  is a product of fermented fish with salt that has a distinctive taste and is produced in Indonesia. This study aimed to analyze the effect of bromelain on local Indonesian food and its applications. The result showed that the use of bromelain in local Indonesian food could improve the quality and nutritional value of local food. Bromelain can be used in local food like tempeh gembus, virgin coconut oil, and fish sauce from dumbo catfish. The use of bromelain in tempeh gembus could  increase both of the water-soluble nitrogen level and the pH value. However, the addition of bromelain in the production of virgin coconut oil and fish sauce from dumbo catfish could increase the yield of theirs. .

Turmeric is a plant that included in Zingiberaceae. Turmerics often used as a traditional medicine to heal wounds, antibacterial, reduces intestine motility, reduce unpleasant body odor, treats fever, diarrhea, and many more. Standardization is performed by examining turmeric rhizome simpicia and extract. Standardization is carried out to guarantee the quality of traditional raw materials and requirements for reproducibility of pharmaceutical and therapeutic qualities. Parameters that have been used in this research are macroscopic test, microscopic test, total ash content test, acid insoluble ash content test, water soluble simplicia content test, ethanol soluble simplicia content test, shrinkage drying test, and Phytochemistry screening qualitatively. From the results, turmeric simplicia has met the requirements, while turmeric extract has  not eligible in requirements, because its acid insoluble ash content are not eligible. This expected because of the impurities which contamine the extract are silica and sand.  Silica can cuts the mucosa of the throat when used it orally. Turmeric extract in this research does not eligible and cannot be used for the next step.

A promising method of intensifying the process of sinter preparation preparation was investigated by using surfactants as an additional binding material. It is shown that surfactants provide efficient compaction of charge materials. The use of water-soluble surfactant additives (aminocrylate of various compositions) when moistening the charge in the blending and pelletizing of charge materials positively affects the sintering performance and the quality of the finished sinter. An increase in the strength of the agglomerate during recovery, a decrease in abrasion, and an increase in the temperature of the maximum melt filtration were noted. An increase in the recoverability of the agglomerate and the associated decrease in the “aggressiveness” of primary slags were also observed. When using surfactants, the duration of the process was reduced, and the vertical sintering rate increased from 1.0-1.8% to 6.1-8.5%. The yield of the charge has increased by 0.4-2.4%, the strength index - by 0.4-2.2%. Analysis of the results of laboratory studies confirmed that the introduction of surfactants in moisturizing water can improve the quality of the mixture. In particular, the gas permeability of the charge is improved, the best conditions for burning solid fuel and the process of liquid-phase sintering are provided, and the strength properties of the finished product are enhanced. The involvement of a part of metallurgical wastes in the fermentation domain complex allows to significantly expand the resource base of iron ore components, reduce the cost of input raw materials and improve the environmental situation.

The efficiency of modern cosmetic products mostly involves multifunctionality. The denoted requirements impose on producers of cosmetic raw materials and preparations the continuous improvement of formulations of existing emulsion supports for cosmetically active substancs, the use of new raw materials and technologies for manufacturing preparations, as well as the development of completely new supports for active components and a large number of various sources and concepts for obtaining cosmetically active substances. Special requirements for the quality of cosmetic raw materials and products are analyzed, as well as the corresponding legislation.

Research objective was development of an express technique of allocation and quantitative definition of water-soluble polysaccharides in leaves of a Arctium lappa L. For acceleration of process of extraction of biologically active agents of leaves of a Arctium lappa and also augmentations of an exit of water-soluble polysaccharides, it was decided to use an ultrasonic bathtub. Varying process indicators, it was succeeded to pick up extraction conditions under which process of extraction and quantitative definition of water-soluble polysaccharides of leaves of a Arctium lappa comes down to 1.5 h, namely: an izmelchennost of raw materials of 0.5–1.0 mm, temperature – 80 °С, frequency rate of extraction – 3, duration of extractions – 15 min, ultrasound frequency – 35 kHz, a ratio of raw materials and the ekstragent of 1 g for 15 ml. The developed technique of a validirovan on indicators of repeatability, correctness, fastness and linearity therefore it is proved that it is a pretsizionna in the conditions of repeatability, is correct, steady and has rather rigid linear dependence of mass of a deposit on mass of the analyzed raw materials at gravimetric definition of water-soluble polysaccharides in leaves of а Arctium lappa. The technique can be used for the express analysis of quality of leaves of а Arctium lappa and also at industrial receiving an inulin from this type of raw materials.

Armaceutical dextrose monohydrate (DMH) as one of the raw materials for drugs which is widely used in the manufacture of infusions and drug preparations, including BBO, which is entirely still imported. To achieve the independence of national pharmaceutical raw materials, it is important to study and develop the DMH pharmaceutical production process technology in Indonesia. In this research, the validation of the DMH pharmaceutical production process using food quality liquid glucose raw materials on a pilot-scale of 5 - 6 kg/product was carried out. The validation process has been carried out three times in all stages of the process, namely saccharification, carbon purification, resin purification, evaporation, crystallization, centrifugation, and drying. Several test parameters have been established at each stage of the process so that the repeatability of the production process and the quality of pharmaceutical DMH can be achieved. The results showed that each stage of the process played a role in improving the quality of dextrose. Product yield and weight loss of dextrose in the whole process were 50–52% and 9–10%, respectively. The results of testing the levels of dextrose (dextrose equivalent/DE), endotoxin content, pyrogen-free tests, and other parameters that have been carried out on pharmaceutical DMH products have met the quality requirements according to the Indonesian Pharmacopoeia Edition V. In conclusion, the validation results show that the bench-scale pharmaceutical DMH production process technology is developed to produce pharmaceutical DMH products with process repeatability and good quality. Abstrak Dekstrosa Monohidrat (DMH) farmasi merupakan bahan baku obat (BBO) yang banyak digunakan pada pembuatan infus dan sediaan obat serta termasuk salah satu BBO yang seluruhnya masih dimpor. Untuk mencapai kemandirian bahan baku farmasi nasional, maka pengkajian dan pengembangan teknologi proses produksi DMH farmasi menjadi penting untuk dilakukan di Indonesia. Dalam penelitian ini telah dilakukan validasi proses produksi DMH farmasi menggunakan bahan baku glukosa cair kualitas pangan pada skala pilot 5–6 kg produk/bets. Proses validasi telah dilakukan sebanyak tiga kali ulangan pada seluruh tahapan proses yaitu sakarifikasi, pemurnian dengan karbon, pemurnian dengan resin, evaporasi, kristalisasi, sentrifugasi, dan pengeringan. Beberapa parameter uji telah ditetapkan pada setiap tahapan proses agar keterulangan proses produksi dan kualitas DMH farmasi dapat tercapai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setiap tahapan proses berperan dalam peningkatan kualitas dekstrosa. Rendemen produk dan kehilangan berat dekstrosa pada keseluruhan proses masing-masing adalah 50–52% dan 9–10%. Hasil pengujian kadar dekstrosa (dekstrosa ekivalen/DE), kandungan endotoksin, uji bebas pirogen, dan parameter lain yang telah dilakukan terhadap produk DMH farmasi adalah sudah memenuhi persyaratan kualitas sesuai Farmakope Indonesia Edisi VI. Disimpulkan, hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa teknologi proses produksi DMH farmasi skala pilot yang dikembangkan dapat menghasilkan produk DMH farmasi dengan keterulangan proses dan kualitas yang baik.

In 2016–2017 at the experimental selection site of ARSRITTP the influence of modern agrochemicals of Potassium Humate, Bio Fish, Plantafol, Mikrovit, Rexolin ABC, Floroni of the traditional mineral fertilizer ammonium nitrate on the quality of tobacco raw materials of the Virginia variety type from the world collection of the Institute was studied. The dominant indicators of the smoking benefits of tobacco are proteins, nicotine, carbohydrates and chlorine. It has been determined that three-fold foliar treatment of tobacco seedlings in the main phases of development «cross», «ligules» and «fit for planting» with complex agrochemicals improves the chemical composition of tobacco raw materials, and does not change the quantitative indicators of nicotine. The content of water-soluble carbohydrates in raw materials increased by 4–60% and 7–57%, the amount of proteins decreased by 3–11% and 8–16%, respectively, for the years under study. The preplanting application of ammonium nitrate to the soil reduces the quality of raw tobacco. Fertilizer in doses of N60 and N90 helped to reduce the amount of nicotine in tobacco over two years of research by 4–8%, and in doses of N120 and N150 to increase it by 1,5–15,0%. A decrease in the content of carbohydrates in the raw material was established with a decrease in the doses of ammonium nitrate by 39–235% relative to the control. The protein content was at the level of the variant without treatment. The amount of chlorine in the raw material is determined within the permissible limits for good flammability of tobacco (less than 0,4%).

Triamcinolone acetonide is an antiinflammatory drug that has been used for more than 50 years for the treatment of various inflammatory disorders including the arthritis & gout etc. Moreover, in recent years its use has been rapidly increased for the treatment of retinal vasculature disease and Uveitis, periocular and intraocular treatment. This review summarizes the whole manufacturing process of this formulation along with the complete in-process QC & Finished dosage form test parameters that ensures the efficacy and safety of this drug. Furthermore, the industrial requirements in the production and QC department to manufacture this product are emphasized to optimize the production as well as the quality of the Product.

Tea is one of the most favorite drinks in the world. About the useful effect of green tea on the human body is known very much. In connection with the fall of the economy, the quality of products entering the trading networks is also deteriorating, so we decided to check the quality of green tea sold by trading networks in St. Petersburg. There are the results of a study on the quality of green tea from different manufacturers in the article and accordance with their normative documents. Organoleptic and physico-chemical methods were used to allowable the quality of tea. We studied these samples for safety according to the maximum permissible content of toxins, radionuclides, mycotoxins and microorganisms in tea. According to the physico-chemical examination revealed violations in terms of: the content of tannin, water-soluble extractive substances, active acidity, increased mold content, which attests about assortment falsification of green tea, the use of poor quality raw materials, violation of technological processes and storage processes. As a result, it can be concluded that in production of tea it is necessary to take into account all regulatory requirements and comply with all technological processes, consider the requirements for storage and transportation of tea, certify the goods and use more manual labor when collecting tea leaves. Trading enterprises should use only certified goods and to use the conclusions of expert laboratoriesmore often.

The combination of basic fertilizer with leaf and root fertilizing allows to obtain up to 65 t/ha of pepper fruits of high quality.
