The study was launched from the statistical indicators on the drug addiction phenomenon and returning to it, as this phenomenon is considered universal, so the researcher sought to verify this phenomenon by studying the economic and health motives leading to the drug return, where the researcher examined the theoretical studies and benefited from them and made a special questionnaire on the phenomenon Where the questionnaire included 190 cases after excluding 10 cases because they were not complete. The study reached a number of conclusions, including: There is a severe weakness in the economic and health treatments for preventing the recurrence of the drug, as the study showed that there is a strong relationship between economic and health motives and the recurrence of the drug. The study came out with a set of recommendations, including: the need to activate and support economic and health institutions and increase awareness of community members about the phenomenon and the need for economic and health institutions to come together in the fight against drug addiction addiction.

A session at the 2005 Delhi Congress on Women, Work and Health was entitled “Social movements and research on women, work and health: How can researchers and community members work together on current problems?” and described researcher-worker collaboration to gain recognition for the constraints and requirements of women's jobs. Suffering in the workplace may appear to come primarily from such visible aggressors as toxins and heavy weights, but its ultimate cause is the powerlessness, isolation, and denigration that sap workers’ ability to fight back. Participatory research projects described here have promoted solidarity and encouraged the transformation of working conditions.

For several decades, community interventions have promoted community development with strategies involving capacity building, advocacy, social change, and empowerment. Although community interventions intend to ameliorate social and economic inequalities, there is still a need to evaluate the outcomes of Participatory Action Research (PAR). PAR approaches have demonstrated to be a helpful tool for addressing and identifying community issues and strengths, while leading community members into action. The PAR approach described in this case study of “Ciudad Renace” (Town Reborn)—the Concerns Report Method (CRM)—provided a process for the community to come together and identify main issues, organize, and take actions. The findings suggest multiple activities and outcomes in areas like environmental contamination, social services, and education. Participatory methodologies like the Concerns report Method provided opportunities for community members to become engaged in pursing issues and addressing their own needs. The implications for community psychology research and practice are discussed.

As the need for wildfire adaptation for human populations in the wildland-urban interface (WUI) intensifies in the face of changes that have increased the number of wildfires that exceed 100 thousand acres, it is becoming more important to come to a better understanding of social complexity on the WUI landscape. It is just as important to further our understanding of the social characteristics of the individual human settlements that inhabit that landscape and attempt to craft strategies to improve wildfire adaptation that are commensurate with local values, management preferences, and local capabilities. The case study research presented in this article evaluates social characteristics present in a WUI community that faces extreme wildfire risk to both people and property. It explores social processes that impede the ability of community members to work together collectively to solve problems (e.g., wildfire risk) and offers an alternative perspective about the nature of residency status (i.e., full-time and non-full-time) and its role in influencing wildfire mitigation efforts. This article closes with recommendations intended to facilitate collective action and foster community development.

Abstract Objectives We provide a systematic literature review on tissue miRNAs in patients with RCC to evaluate and summarize their usefulness as prognostic markers. We undertook a systematic search for articles in English using the PubMed-Medline database from January 2010 to December 2020. Studies were identified and selected according to the PRISMA criteria and the PICO methodology. The population consisted of RCC patients undergoing nephrectomy and the main outcome of interest was recurrence-free survival (RFS). Only studies providing hazard ratios (HRs) from multivariate or univariate analyzes with corresponding 95% confidence intervals (CI) and/or area under the curve (AUC) were considered. Content All nine included studies (1,541 patients) analyzed the relationship between tissue miRNA expression levels (up or downregulated) and RFS. Some of these found that the methylation status of miR-9-1, miR-9-3 and miR-124 was associated with a high risk of relapse. Moreover, miR-200b overexpression was associated with OS. MiR-210 overexpression indicated a shorter OS than those who were miR-210 negative. Finally, patients with high miR-125b expression had shorter CSS than those with low expression; similarly, patients with low miR-126 expression also had shorter CSS time. Summary and Outlook Several studies tested the usefulness of specific miRNAs to predict RCC recurrence. Some of them showed a fair accuracy and strong relationship between specific miRNA over or under-expression and survival outcomes. However, results from these studies are preliminary and miRNAs use in routine clinical practice is still far to come.

After the revolution in 1989, the romanian society was met with a new fenomenon, that of building new associations and foundations, institutions that were meant to come to the local communities' aid by offering services that the authorities could not. Although marked by ethnic and religious diversity, the Dunarea de Jos region is known throughout history as a well-established and coherent community, that managed in time to create new mechanisms for solving collective needs. If during the period between the two world wars, the association phenomenon had a significant spread and grandeur, after the communist regime was instilled, this phenomenon stopped even thought the law that regulated the start-up of associations and foundations was not abolished. The following article is proposing the realisation of an xray of the construction of nongovernmental associations in the „Dunarea de Jos” region in the postdecembrist period, keeping in mind the subsequent objectives: the identity of the organisations constructed in the studied region (after the revolution in december 1989), the breakdown of the active NGO profiles of the „Dunarea de Jos” region, and the analysis of the phenomenon based on some statistical indicators.

During the nineties, a new theatrical trend developed. It was called New European Drama or New Writing. It was represented by authors such as the British Sarah Kane, Mark Ravenhill or the German playwright Marius von Mayernburg. The classical theatre will never be able to return to itself, unless giving the spectator the utopian sense of life that only a staged play could perform, not from a delusive perspective, but from a real and personalized perspective, giving a certain meaning to reality. Being against the conservatory type, the authors put an end to all the theatrical conventions. They considered that it had to come to a point of changing the old patterns, of introducing new themes, new structures, new means of performing in the attempt of seducing and shocking the audience. Most of the dramatic texts focus on the plots about hard human existence such as racism, madness, suicide, sexuality, drug addiction and any type of abuse. The language is vulgar and slangy. All the dramatic texts when performed on stage invade the personal space of the people watching, who is now considered one of the characters. It is not only the dramatic text that is taken into consideration, but the performance itself. The new type of theatre developed in Russia, Poland and Romania, giving specific projects (Teatr.doc, The Drama Laboratory and DramAcum). All were influenced by the verbatim dramatic style performed in theatres under the slogan of the in-yer-face. The study intends to explore the importance of the Romanian theatrical project – DramAcum, as a new type of theatre and dramaturgy.

AbstractObjectiveThis study explored nurses willingness to work in assisted living institutions for the aged.BackgroundAssisted living institutions are multifunctional facilities that provide clinical and ambulatory (day hospital) care for somatic and psychogeriatric elderly with multiple pathology, disability, and handicaps.MethodsThe study used a mixed-methods approach in which qualitative data was collected first before the quantitative data. Data was collected through focused group discussions (FGDs) and questionnaires from 248 respondents with age ranging from 20 to 58 years from October 2016 to January 2017 with 8 missing from the quantitative data. Four pertinent questions were sked both in the study. Sampling was convenient and purposive from 4 different health institutions in the metropolis. Data from the FGDs were digitally recorded and transcribed verbatim. Quantitative data was entered in SPSS version 23 and cleaned. Both sets of data were coded and analysed.ResultThe nurses appreciate the increase in the number of the aged in their communities; they think community members prepare towards their ageing by using their children as security, and the idea of assisted living was enthusiastically supported, but with the proviso that it would need to be ran by a private entrepreneur. Almost all the 240 respondents said that government should establish an institution for the aged and they would be willing to work in such an institution, if only it will run by a private entrepreneur.ConclusionThe nurses also think that families are now becoming more nuclear; that is why caring for the aged has become a problem, thus creating a need for assisted living facilities.
