Tujuan daripada penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana strategi Musyrif dalam membentuk karakter kepemimpinan dan kemandirian siswa Boarding School. Penelitian ini mengambil studi kasus di SMA Insan Cendekia Mandiri Boarding School (ICMBS), Sidoarjo.  Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, dokumentasi dan in-depth interview dengan key informant: Supervisor Asrama SMA ICMBS, Musyrif, siswa, dan Alumni. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat dikonklusikan: (1) Strategi Musyrif dalam membentuk karakter kepemimpinan dan kemandirian terbagi dua yaitu internal dan eksternal. (2) Strategi internal meliputi enam tahapan yaitu: perencanaan, pengenalan, pelaksanaan, pengawasan, reward and punishment, dan evaluasi. Perencanaan diintegrasikan melalui organizing divisi kepengurusan asrama. Pengenalan diintegrasikan melalui pembelajaran diniyah, Taujihat Wal Irsyadat, pendidikan keorganisasian, dan keteladanan. Pelaksanaan diintegrasikan melalui kegiatan Organisasi Asrama Santri, multi activities, dan kedisiplinan. Pengawasan diimplementasikan oleh seluruh komponen lembaga pendidikan. Reward and punishment diintegrasikan sesuai prinsip dan ketetapan yang berlaku. Evaluasi diintegrasikan melalui rapat Musyrif, Musyrif dengan siswa, dan ujian diniyah. (3) Strategi eksternal meliputi pengenalan, pengawasan, dan evaluasi yang diintegrasikan melalui komunikasi aktif dengan orang tua wali baik dalam bentuk formal maupun nonformal.

This research takes a case study in high school Insan Cendekia Mandiri Boarding School (ICMBS), Sidoarjo. The method which used in this research is qualitative. The Data obtained through observation, documentation and in-depth interviews with key informants are Boarding Supervisor, Musyrif, student, and Alumni. The technique of data analysis used is by descriptive analysis technique.  Based on the results of the study it can be concluded: (1) The Musyrif's strategy in shaping the character of leadership and independence is divided into two, internal and external. (2) The internal strategy includes six steps, they are: planning, knowing, actuating, controlling, reward & punishment, and evaluating. The planning strategy is integrated through organizing the division of management. The knowing strategy is integrated through the learning of diniyah, taujihat wal irsyadat, leadership education, and model. The actuating strategy is integrated through the organization of Boarding School, multi activities, and discipline. The controlling strategy is carried out by all components of high school ICMBS Sidoarjo. The Reward and punishment strategy is carried out by principles and provisions. The evaluation strategy is integrated through the evaluation between Musyrif, Musyrif, and students, and the examination of diniyah. (3) The external strategy includes three steps they are: knowing, controlling, and evaluation which is integrated through effective communication with the guardian's parents by formal or informal.

This study aims to provide an overview of the process of cultural change through total quality management in Islamic perspective carried out at Daar El Manshur Islamic Boarding School. The method of the study is qualitative method by using in-depth interview techniques with informants. This research was conducted at the Daar El Manshur Islamic Boarding School, Depok City, West Java. Data analysis was carried out using content analysis with the stages of reducing data, triangulating data, presenting data descriptively, and drawing conclusions/verification. The results showed that cultural change through total quality management at Daar El Manshur Islamic Boarding School was seen from 7 focuses. The focus of planning for Islamic boarding schools is still focused on current conditions. The focus of the organization is participatory by involving all individuals to improve the quality of education and to develop Islamic boarding schools. The focus of control is still in the form of monitoring and supervising each section based on the existing SOP. The focus of communication has been two-way communication. The focus of the decision is still reactive and not based on well planning even though decisions are made based on deliberation and consensus. The focus of functional management has not been fully integrated. The focus of quality management is still reactive because it is still in the stage of finding the best and most suitable method to be applied in Islamic boarding schools. Therefore, the process of cultural change at Daar El Manshur Islamic Boarding School has begun to occur.

This research aimed to study how the party`s accountability for offences committed by legislative candidates. What action that taken by a party of electoral violations and whether the party can be charged for. In the doctrine of Criminal Law known by criminal responsibility related to offenders, and in progress subject to criminal law, not only individual but institution or agency or corporation/firms. So, they should be responsible for it. It was a normative legal research, studying the principles of law related to criminal responsibility. Collecting data were done by two stages that were literature and field research. The first aimed to obtain secondary data namely, law material ;primary, secondary and tertiary. And then, the second, collecting data with an in-depth interview with certain key informant. It used a qualitative method.The result showed that party never asked for their responsibility related to offences by legislative candidates who committed election crime because the act did not rule it. The party had not take action associated with offences were done by them. Politic party as cooperation/firms ideally should take account to candidates who conducted the crime. It was a necessary regulation that managed its accountability as in cooperation. Besides, the party should give politics education and strict sanctions to them who did despicable manners. Key words: accountability, party, election of criminal act, legislative ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengkaji bagaimana pertanggungjawaban partai terhadap pelanggaran yang dilakukan oleh Calon Anggota Legislatif, Apa tindakan yang diambil oleh partai terhadap pelanggaran pemilu yang dilakukan oleh Calon Anggota  Legislatif dan apakah  partai dapat dipersalahkan terhadap pelanggaran yang dilakukan oleh Calon Anggota legislatif. Hal ini dilatarbelakangi oleh karena di dalam doktrin hukum pidana dikenal adanya pertanggungjawaban pidana yang dikaitkan dengan pelaku, dan dalam perkembangannya subyek hukum pidana bukan hanya orang perorangan, malainkan juga suatu badan atau korporasi. Sehingga yang dapat dimintai pertanggungjawaban adalah juga suatu badan atau korporasi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian hukum normatif, yang mengkaji asas hukum yang terkait dengan pertanggungjawaban pidana, namun demikian diperlukan data lapangan sebagai pelengkap. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui dua tahap yaitu penelitian kepustakaan dan penelitian lapangan. Penelitian Kepustakaan (library research), untuk memperoleh data sekunder  berupa bahan hukum; primer, sekunder dan tertier. Penelitian lapangan dilakukan dengan cara wawancara mendalam (deptintevew) dengan narasumber yang ditentukan. Data yang terkumpul baik dari hasil penelitian lapangan maupun dari penelitian kepustakaan dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Partai tidak pernah dimintai pertanggungjawaban sehubungan dengan pelanggaran yang dilakukan oleh calon anggota legislatif yang melakukan tindak pidana Pemilu, karena Undang-undang  tidak mengatur pertanggungjawaban Partai terhadap tindak pidana yang dilakukan oleh calon anggota ligeslatif. Partai tidak pernah melakukan tindakan terkait dengan calon legislatif yang melakukan pelanggaran. Partai Politik sebagai Korporasi idealnya juga harus bertanggungjawab terhadap tindak pidana yang dilakukan oleh calon anggota legislatif. Diperlukan regulasi  yang mengatur pertanggungjawaban partai terhadap tindak pidana yang dilakukan oleh Calon anggota legislatif sebagaimana pertanggungjawaban dalam tindak pidana korporasi. Di samping itu, hendaknya partai melakukan pendidikan politik kepada anggotanya dan memberikan sanksi tegas kepada anggota partai politik yang merlakukan perbuatan yang tercela. Kata Kunci: Tindak pidana Pemilu

Islamic boarding school can train a santri’sIndependence and it can be reflected after a santri becomes an alumni, such from economic welfare. This study aims to determine whether the consumption practice of alumni Islamic boarding school is in line with Islamic welfare or not. The research method used is descriptive qualitative approach by using case studyon alumni of Miftachus Sunnah Islamic boarding school. Data collection is done by in-depth interview, observation, and documentation. The validation technique used by source and technique triangulation. The analysis technique used is Miles- Huberman’s.The five areas of maqashid sharia in dharuriyyat level stand as an indicator of Islamic welfare. The results showed that the consumption practice of alumni of Miftachus Sunnah based on the values (justice, responsibility, and guarantee) and basic principles (efficiency, adequacy, freedom, balance, and solidarity) of Islamic economic behavior in the achievement and guarding of maqashid sharia indicate the suitability. Key words: Consumption behavior, values of Islamic economic, principal of Islamic economic, and maqashid sharia.

This study discusses about the existence and extent of the contribution of women religious leaders accepted in society in West Aceh district by using sociological analysis (social practice). This study was conducted in Aceh Barat district using a qualitative approach, notably through in-depth interview techniques by way of to-face and observation. According to the thinking of Bourdieu (1990), habitus and domains provide an easy way to see how the process of constructing of the realm of Islamic boarding school and the community and penginternalisasi habitus and religious values, socio-cultural and customs in society that formed the existence of women religious leaders in the community. . the results showed that the existence and contribution of women religious leaders in society, to understand the people of Aceh are still in the capacity of women. Women have not been possible to contribute to the public realm, just in taklim, special lectures for or fellow women and local preachers. Keywords: Existence, contributions, women scholars, Aceh Barat

In recent years, the magnitude and complexity of movements have brought increased attention to the phenomenon of emigration which affects nearly all countries in the world. In developing countries, labour emigration is extremely complex. The main objective of the study is to explore the trends, causes, and challenges of labour emigration from Ethiopia. In-depth interview, key informant interview, observation, and document analysis were used as methods of data collection. Content and document analysis techniques were used to analyze the data. The results of the study show that there is a high level of labour emigration from Ethiopia. Labour emigration from Ethiopia is mostly associated with economic factors such as unemployment, underemployment, and the search for better life in the destination countries. The institutional structure and inter-institutional collaboration in relation to labour emigration are informed by a fragmented framework. As a result, Ethiopian migrant workers are highly vulnerable to human rights violations.

Objective - The aim of paper is to investigate whether traditional management, is the Islamic boarding school has implemented the Islamic Corporate Governance Methodology/Technique - This research is a qualitative study using case study. Key Informant in this research is the General Secretary of Bahrul Ulum Foundation. The analysis technique used is the technique belong to Yin (2009) that divides three techniques for the analysis of case studies: the pairing pattern analysis techniques, the technique of making the explanation, the time series analysis technique. Findings - The findings indicate that in its implementation, corporate governance at Islamic boarding school based on the value of Tawhid. Furthermore, principle of transparency, accountability, responsibility, independence and fairness being the corporate governance principles at an Islamic boarding school. Research Implications: This study uses only one boarding school. Future studies are expected to examine more than one boarding school to obtain mixed results. Novelty - Based on the finding, the study suggests the ICG formulation will be found appropriate for every boarding school in Indonesia. Upaya pendidikan dalam pembentukan karater disiplin salah satunya yaitu dengan menggunakan metode reward dan punishment. Masih jarang lembaga pendidikan yang menggabungkan antara metode reward dan punishment dalam satu wadah. Namun Pondok Pesantren Moderm merupakan lembaga pendidikan islam yang mampu menggabungkan dua metode tersebut dalam satu wadah dan menjadikannya budaya disetiap pondok pesantern modern. seperti yang diterapkan di Pondok Pesantren Modern Daarul Uluum Bantarkemang. Pondok pesantren ini menerapkan metode reward dan punishment dalam mendisiplinkan santri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah memahami reward dan punishment dalam pembentukan karakter disiplin santri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian etnografi digunakan untuk meneliti nilai budaya yang alamiah. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan; wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan; analisis model Spradley, pengumpulan data, reduksi data, display/penyajian data dan verifikasi. Pemeriksaan keabsahan data menggunkanan triangulasi sumber dan menggunakan bahan referensi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: (1) Pondok Pesantren Modern Daarul Uluum Bantarkemang menggabungkan konsep pembelajaran salafi dan umum, yaitu dengan mempelajari kitab-kitab tradisional dan sekolah madrasah; (2) upaya pesantren dalam membentuk karakter disiplin santri yaitu dengan memerapkan kegiatan sehari-hari yang edukatif dan metode reward dan punishment; (3) reward yang diberikan kepada santri berupa materi dan non materi. Reward berupa materi diberikan setiap satu semester; dan(4) punishment yang diberikan memiliki tingkatan yaitu tigkat I, tingkat II, tingkat III dan tingkat istimewa. Reward dan punishment diberikan oleh pengurus pesantren dan HISADA sebagai tangan kanan pengurus.Kata kunci: karakter disiplin santri, pondok pesantren modern, reward dan punishment.REWARD AND PUNISHMENT IN THE FORMATION OF DISCIPLINE CHARACTERS SANTRIAbstractEducation efforts in the formation of one discipline character is by using reward and punishment methods. It is rare for educational institutions that combine reward and punishment methods in one container. But Pondok Pesantren Moderm is an Islamic educational institution that is able to combine the two methods in one container and make it a culture in every modern pesantern hut. as applied in Pondok Pesantren Modern Daarul Uluum Bantarkemang. Pondok Pesantren this method of reward and punishment in disciplining santri. The purpose of this research is to understand reward and punishment in the formation of santri characters. This study used qualitative methods with ethnographic research used to examine the natural cultural values. Technique of collecting data is done by using; interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis using; Spradley model analysis, data collection, data reduction, display / data presentation and verification. The validity check of data uses source triangulation and uses reference material. The results of this study show: (1) Modern Boarding School Daarul Uluum Bantarkemang combining the concept of salafi and general learning, that is by studying the traditional books and madrasah schools; (2) the effort of pesantren in shaping the character of discipline of santri that is by applying educative everyday activities and reward and punishment method; (3) rewards given to students in the form of material and non-material. Reward of material is given every semester; and (4) the punishment given has a level of level I, level II, level III and preferential level. Reward and punishment given by boarding school and HISADA as the right hand caretaker.

Ambon as the capital of Maluku Province had been occupied by 3,558 farmers whose farming works have contributed to the production of estate commodities for about 1,169 tons.  There were three estate commodities with significant contribution, namely clove, nutmeg, and coconut. The objective of research was to analyze the characteristics of estate farmers and the contribution of estate commodities on household income. Sample was determined purposively from Nusaniwe District, precisely 30 farmers from Nusaniwe Subdistrict, 60 farmers from Latuhalat Subdistrict, 50 farmers from Amahusu Subdistrict, and 60 farmers from Urimessing Subdistrict. Total sample was 200 farmers. Data were collected using questionnaire and depth interview with key informant. Data on respondent characteristic were analyzed through simple tabulation. Income count was used to analyze the contribution of each estate commodity on household income. Result of research showed that education, number of household member, side-job selection, land width, and commodity species were not varying across subdistricts. Contribution of clove and nutmeg to household income was found as high for 70 – 80 %, while that of coconut reached only 10 – 20%. Side-job activity as fisher and construction worker gave contribution to household income for 5 – 10%.

This study aims to describe the discourse structure used in Nyadran Agung ritual which was held in Kulon Progo District. The data of the research are words (utterances) and material elements in the ritual. The data are collected through observation and in-depth interview. The collected data are validated using key informant review, source triangulation and method. To analyze the data, the researchers perform interactive analysis technique and Teun Van Dijk’s model of discourse analysis. The result shows that discourse structures of Nyadran Agung ritual are divided into macro structure, superstructure, and micro structure. The macro structure covers social-culture, religious value, tolerance, and mutual assistance. The superstructure covers pre-preface, preface, content, and closing. The micro structure is observed from the sentence types used during the ritual which covers declarative and imperative (politeness, request, hope, and invitation) sentences.Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan struktur wacana ritual Nyadran Agung di Kabupaten Kulon Progo. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa kata-kata (tuturan) dan unsur material dalam ritual Nyadran Agung. Data diperoleh dengan observasi dan wawancara mendalam. Data yang telah diperoleh divalidasi dengan review informan kunci, triangulasi sumber, dan metode. Data yang telah divalidasi dianalisis dengan teknik analisis interaktif dan model analisis wacana Teun Van Dijk. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa struktur wacana dalam ritual Nyadran Agung terbagi menjadi struktur makro, superstruktur, dan struktur mikro. Struktur makro ritual Nyadran Agung, yaitu sosial-budaya, religius, toleransi, dan gotong royong. Superstruktur dalam ritual Nyadran Agung terbagi menjadi empat bagian, yaitu prapendahuluan, pendahuluan, isi, dan penutup. Struktur mikro dilihat dari jenis kalimat, dalam ritual Nyadran Agung ditemukan kalimat deklaratif, imperatif (santun, permintaan, harapan, dan ajakan).
