This study discusses the nature of the curriculum in Islamic education which is an important component in education. This paper is qualitative in nature with an Islamic educational philosophy approach. The research concludes that the basic framework of the Islamic education curriculum is based on revelation and value of tauhid to Allah SWT. The curriculum has four foundations, namely; philosophical, sociological, organizational, and psychological, while the principles of the curriculum, for example, are based on Islamic values, integral and flexible. Then the first curriculum orientation is preserved Islamic values, students, labor and science and technology. In essence, the curriculum content must include three parts, namely; scientific intelligence (cognitive), skills (psychomotor) and values. Likewise the curve of evaluation and review as changes from social change and the times. Therefore, it is important to emphasize that essence, basic framework, principles, orientation and content refer to the reference to Islamic values ​​and monotheism as a characteristic and relationship of Islamic education. This characteristic of monotheism is what distinguishes Islamic education and Western education from a philosophical perspective.

Islamic education is a long life process in digging and performing Islamic values of (raḥmatan li al-’alamīn). It is also long-life attempts to excavate raḥmatan values amid the challenges of modernity and thoughts. This article discusses Islamic education from a philosophical perspective. This study found that ontologically theessence of Islamic education is on the process, while epestemoligically it requires the interaction between ratio and revelation. Axiologically, Islamic education should bring dignity, prominence, and happiness both in the word and the hereafter. The golden age for children at an early age is the growth of intelligence in children because this age child started to vulnerable to increased them in faith and the development and growth physical mental out of the ordinary in phase which gradual. This day and age is a period of the formation of the nature of, personality and the character of a child. Early age is the most important because of the creation of the children the most important personality. Very important start instruction and correction of the child by religion give education from an early age. If religious education is not the doctrine taught to a child in effect learning early childhood, but education by changing civilization to embody the generation who excels in intellectuals religious by instilling religious values and sticks to young kids. In the planting of Islamic values sticks teaching Islamic education having a very large share. Especially for the developments of the times sure. Keywords: Early Childhood; Education; Values Aqidah. Abstrak Golden age bagi anak-anak Usia dini merupakan masa tumbuh kembang kecerdasan pada anak, karena rentan pada usia ini anak-anak mulai mengalami masa perkembangan dan pertumbuhan fisik mental yang luar biasa dalam fase yang bertahap. Masa ini merupakan periode pembentukan watak, kepribadian dan karakter anak. Usia dini merupakan masa yang terpenting, karena masa untuk pembentukan kepribadian anak yang paling utama. Sangat penting memulai didikan kepada anak dengan memberikan pendidikan agama sejak dini. Bukanlah doktrin jika Pendidikan agama diajarkan kepada anak dalam mempengaruhi pembelajaran anak usia dini, melainkan pendidikan dengan mengubah peradaban untuk mewujudkan generasi yang unggul dalam intelektualis serta religius agamis dengan menanamkan nilai-nilai Aqidah kepada anak sejak dini. Dalam penanaman nilai-nilai Aqidah Islam Pengajaran Pendidikan agama Islam memiliki andil yang sangat besar. Terutama bagi perkembangan zaman tentunya berbeda dalam metode pengajarannya, tetapi nilai-nilai Aqidah harus tetap ditanamkan sejak anak berada pada tahapan usia dini. Pendidikan Agama diperkenalkan sejak dini kepada anak berarti telah membentuk pribadi anak yang religius, terutama dalam nilai-nilai keagaamaan yakni Aqidah dan syariat agama. Purpose: This study provides an overview of the importance of massive reform in the Curriculum of Islamic Education at the Faculty of Islam, University of Muhammadiyah Gresik. This reform is needed so that the Islamic education curriculum can answer the challenges and demands of the times that continue to change globally. Besides, this deafness also poured out the results of a solution to Islamic religious education in the face of the Era of Industrial Revolution 4.0. Method: this type of research is a type of field research. To obtain the data of this study used the observation method, interviews, and documentation. The research was analyzed with descriptive qualitative. To analyze the factors that influence the internalization of Islamic values, reduction analysis, data presentation and verification are used. Findings: The era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 had a broad impact on all lines of life, including in the field of education, especially Islamic education. The era that gave birth to this disruption phenomenon demanded the world of Islamic religious education to participate in adjusting. Graduates of Islamic education are now faced with new challenges, demands, and needs that have never existed before. So it is necessary to update and innovate the system, governance, curriculum, human resource competencies, facilities and infrastructure, culture, work ethic, and others. Implications for Researh and practice: Islamic religious education will be increasingly left behind and outdated. Therefore, it is necessary to look for concrete steps for Islamic religious education in order to be able to remain competitive in this disruption era.

The issue of renewal will always be associated with the advancement of science and technology as well as the changing demands of the times. Modernization or renewal can be an attempt to improve the situation both in terms of ways, concepts, and a set of methods commonly applied in order to deliver better circumstances. In the context of renewal education is the absolute thing to be done because part of maintaining the existence of education itself. Islamic education is uniquely different from other types of educational theory and practice largely because of the all-encompassing influence of the Qur’an. The renewal of Islamic education is an attempt to actualize the great values of religion in the form of an empirical and historical life. Nurcholis Madjid and Kuntowijoyo are two great Islamic thinkers of Indonesia who seek to actualize Islamic values in everyday life. Although not specific in the world of education, but what is done in Islamic renewal can be used in renewal in education. The values of religion that are still normative and subjective must be transformed into theories that can be translated in the empirical world and become objective. This paper aims to explore the thinking of Islamic renewal of these two figures and find its relevance to the development of Islamic education.

These opportunities need to be fulfilled by utilizing all the positive potentials of globalization, spreading Islamic values ​​to the world as an effort to save humanity from the scularization virus that ignores the spiritual dimension in humans. This paper will examine the thoughts of Abdurrahman Mas'ud on Nondikotomik Educational Format (Humanism Religious as Paradigm of Islamic Education). Mas'ud argues, there is no separation between religious science and general science. Mas'udseems to want to compromise the general assumption between Western education which is more concerned with the knowledge aspect with Eastern education emphasizing more on the Religious aspect. The educational goal according to Abdurrahman Mas'ud is the connection between man and his God (Hablum Minallah) and between man and man (Hablum Minannas). Ultimately, education aims to enable students to become human beings, which is perfect in the eyes of human civilization and perfect in the standard of religion. Furthermore, Mas'ud is in line with the concept of religious humanism that is applied in Islamic education by emphasizing on the aspects of teachers, aspects of methods, aspects of pupils, material aspects, and evaluation aspects.

Ali Bin Abi Talib once said that children should be educated in accordance with the  development of the times. The Ali bin Abi Talib’s statement could be considered as his attention more to the development of human civilization. For that reason, there should be studies focused on the role of educational institutions in facing the challenges of the times. On this stand, the writer raises the existence of pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) for being considered to have been able to survive amid the onslaught of civilization increasingly obscuring cultural identity. In addition, this study also aims to identify and discuss the role of pesantren in the modern era. This is a literature study using a descriptive and exploratory approach. It can be concluded that pesantren are non-formal Islamic educational institutions. Pesantren have permanent and distictive methods and learning models. The purpose of pesantren education is the same as Islamic education in general, instilling a sense of virtue, familiarizing themselves with courtesy, preparing for a holy, sincere and honest life entirely. Pesantren could be seen from three aspects: (a) pesantren that are seen from facilities and infrastructures, (b) pesantren that are seen from disciplines taught, and (c) pesantren that are seen from the fields of knowledge.

Abstract Education is the way to prepare the next generation with excellence and competitiveness and Islamic education is no exception. Islamic education, which aims to form the perfect man (insan kamil), is faced with complicated problems of globalization era characterized by the transformation of information. Islam must dominate the quality of education, to be both resistant and flexible with the times. To form a solid Islamic education takes various steps. Reconstruction of the essence and urgency of Islamic education is a way to drown out the dichotomy of science, since all sciences, according to Islam, comes from one authority. The concept of pluralism education should be done so that Muslims are not conflicted in the belief monopolistic practices. By understanding and accepting diversity, the nature of tolerance and inclusivity have been more mature so that Muslims are able to exchange thoughts for the future progress. The term "reconstruction" in this paper indicates that there has been existing paradigm used in Islamic education. However, this paradigm must now be designed or renewed so that Islamic education is able to build a democratic, religious, innovative, and ready person to face the challenges of the transformation of great and rapid information. Tak terkecuali bagi pendidikan Islam. Pendidikan Islam yang bertujuan untuk menbentuk insan kamil dihadapkan pada permasalahan pelik akan derasnya globalisasi yang ditandai dengan era transformasi informasi. Mutu pendidikan Islam harus mendominasi, agar bersifat resisten dan fleksibel dengan perkembangan zaman. Untuk membentuk pendidikan Islam yang kokoh diperlukan berbagai macam langkah. Rekonstruksi essensi dan urgensitas pendidikan Islam merupakan cara untuk meredam dikotomi ilmu, karena pada hakikatnya semua ilmu menurut Islam bersumber dari satu otoritas. Pendidikan yang berwawasan pluralisme perlu dilakukan agar umat Islam tidak terbentur dalam praktik monopoli keyakinan. Dengan memahami dan menerima keberagaman, maka sifat toleransi dan inklusif semakin matang sehingga umat Islam mampu melakukan tukar pikiran demi kemajuan bersama. Term “rekonstruksi” di dalam paper ini mengindikasikan bahwa sebelumnya telah ada paradigma yang digunakan dalam pendidikan Islam. Hanya saja, paradigma tersebut kini harus dirancang atau diperbaharui kembali agar pendidikan Islam mampu membangun masyarakat yang demokratis, religius, inovatif, dan siap untuk menghadapi tantangan transformasi informasi yang begitu hebat dan pesat.   Kata Kunci: Pendidikan Islam, Essensi dan Urgensitas Pendidikan Islam, Transformasi Informasi, Pendidikan Islam dan Transformasi Informasi

Textbook is one of learning components that plays an important role in determining the success of learning. Textbook as a media and one of main resources in the learning process has a strategic role to be developed to improve the quality of learning and cultivate religiosity of the students. The cultivation of religious characters will be effective, efficient, and interesting if the available textbooks are combined with the Islamic education and characters contents. Those contents will create religious atmosphere and familiarize the students in practising their religiosity in everyday life. In this way, the competency of Islamic education and characters are combined with the competency of other subjects that are packaged in a learning experience. Thus the Islamic values will be formed in students characters.
