Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi masalah yang membatasi penggunaan sampel populasi data hanya pada mahasiswa yang mengampuh mata kuliah bahasa Indonesia di Program Studi Bahasa Indonesia IPTS. Dengan adanya beberapa identifikasi masalah, maka peneliti terfokus pada masalah yang diteliti, yaitu tentang kesalahan- kesalahan apa sajakah yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa yang mengampuh mata kuliah bahasa Indonesia di Program Studi Bahasa Indonesia IPTS dalam penulisan KTI. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi kesalahan-kesalahan penulisan KTI yang dilakukan mahasiswa yang mengampuh mata kuliah bahasa Indonesia di Program Studi Bahasa Indonesia IPTS. Secara teoretis penelitian ini bermanfaat sebagai tuntunan untuk menghindari kesalahan-kesalahan yang sering terjadi pada saat penulisan KTI untuk mahasiswa khususnya dalam mata kuliah bahasa Indonesia di Program Studi Bahasa Indonesia IPTS. Temuan dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan beberapa kesalahan dalam penulisan KTI diantaranya adalah Kesalahan dalam menyusun struktur penulisan karya tulis ilmiah, Penulisan bagian abstrak, Isi terlalu panjang dengan pendahuluan yang berlebihan, Kesalahan dalam cara mengutip pendapat orang lain sehingga berkesan menjiplak (plagiat), Penggunaan bahasa Indonesia yang belum baik dan benar (penggunaan spasi pada penulisan tanda baca dan penulisan imbuhan di-, ke-, kata di), Tidak konsisten dalam format tampilan (font yang berubah-ubah, margin yang berubah-ubah), Penulisan kata berbahasa asing.   This study discusses the problem that discusses the use of data samples only for students who apply Indonesian language courses in the Indonesian Language Studies Program at IPTS. By presenting several problems, this study focuses on the issues discussed, namely what the problems are made by students who apply Indonesian Language courses in the IPTS Indonesian Language Study Program in accessing scientific writing. The purpose of this study is to correct the mistakes made by scientific writing by students who apply Indonesian language courses in the Indonesian Language Studies Program at IPTS. Theoretically, this study is useful to solve mistakes that often occur when discussing scientific writing for students specialized in Indonesian language courses in the Indonesian Language Studies Program at IPTS. The findings in this study indicate that several errors in the scientific writing discussion were published: the errors in the composition of scientific papers, writing abstract sections, content too long with excessive introduction, the errors in how to quote other people's opinions can be plagiarized (plagiarism), the use of Indonesian that is not good and right (use spaces in punctuation changes and additions in, words, di), inconsistent in display format (fonts change, margins change), writing foreign pronouns.

The present study aims to know the impact of the Bahasa Indonesia (BIPA) training on enabling the macro skills among the 144 respondents from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines in Sta. Mesa, Manila as well as the perceived benefits of including the language as one of the foreign language courses in the respondents’ curriculum. The researchers used the descriptive research design. The respondents were selected using purposive sampling and the data were gathered through a survey form with 9 questions.  Through the grand mean, it was found out that powerpoint presentations were impactful in enabling them to perform reading tasks. Writing paragraphs were impactful for their writing tasks while Listening to lecture and doing dialogues were impactful for enabling them to perform listening and speaking tasks.    Opportunity to work in other South East Asian Countries emerged as the mostly agreed benefit of including Bahasa Indonesia in the curriculum.

This study aims to describe plagiarism in writing final assignments for students at STIE Jambi. This research was conducted at the Management Study Program at STIE Jambi. Data were collected through interviews and in-depth observations, and analyzed using explanatory approaches, specifically qualitative descriptive techniques. The findings obtained indicate that plagiarism in thesis writing includes duplication, which consists of (1) duplication of titles, (2) duplicate themes, (3) duplication of theories, (4) duplication of data, and (5) duplication of references. The process approach in writing this thesis can be used to prevent plagiarism. Such an approach consists of the following steps: return the draft thesis, show the original source, and cancel the thesis. This can be done by investigating, discussing, evaluating, and presenting the title and substance of the thesis. And the final results of finalizing the thesis are done by doing book printing, the printing of this book is intended as a reference material, input and knowledge / teaching material for the next student in scientific writing / thesis writing techniques to avoid plagiarism and increasing interest in writing scientific papers .

Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi kurangnya pemahaman mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia semester 1 Universitas Balikpapan. tentang keterampilan menulis, khususnya pada materi menulis paragraf dan menulis artikel ilmiah pada Mata Kuliah Bahasa Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan analisis naratif berita dalam Majalah Tempo dan implementasi struktur narasi pada Mata Kuliah Bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan jenis penelitian kualitatif. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis naratif oleh Tzevetan Todorov dengan struktur narasi yang dimodifikasi oleh Nick Lacey dan Gillespie.  Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa struktur narasi yang terdapat pada berita “Detik-Detik yang Menentukan”, “Satu Pemilu Dua Sikap”, “Cacar Monyet di Negeri Singa”, “Siberut Terancam Hutan Industri”, “Bukti Campur Tangan Menteri Lukman”, “Jerat Makar Pengancam Presiden”, terdapat lima berita yang menyajikan persitiwa secara kronologis dan satu berita yang tidak kronologis. Berdasarkan hasil implementasi struktur narasi pada Majalah Tempo edisi 20-26 Mei 2019, diketahui hasil tulisan paragraf narasi yang memiliki urutan peristiwa secara kronologis adalah 88,2% dan tulisan artikel ilmiah yang memenuhi syarat sesuai dengan indikator sistem penulisan artikel ilmiah adalah 82,3%. Kata kunci: Struktur narasi, berita, majalah Tempo   Abstract This research is motivated by a lack of understanding of students in the 1st semester of Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program at University of Balikpapan. about writing skills, especially in writing paragraphs and writing scientific articles on Indonesian Language Courses. This research uses descriptive method with qualitative research to describe the structure of news narratives in Tempo Magazine. Data analysis techniques in this study used narrative analysis techniques by Tzevetan Todorov with a narrative structure modified by Nick Lacey and Gillespie. The results of this study indicate that the structure of the narrative contained in the news “Determining Seconds”, “One Election Two Attitudes”, “Monkey Smallpox in the Lion Country”, “Siberut Threatened by Industrial Forests”, “Interference Proof of Minister Lukman”, “Pitfalls of the President's Threat”, there are five news items that present chronologically and two news that is not chronological. Based on the implementation of the narrative structure at the magazine Tempo 20-26 edition 2019 may show that paragraph narrative writing having a sequence of events in chronological order is 88,2 % and in writing scholarly article qualified in accordance with an indicator of a writing system scientific article is as much as 82,3 %. This research is based on the problem of the many errors in the use of affixes in students' papers or scientific papers. This affects the various changes in meaning caused by affixes. This study aims to describe the errors in the use of affixes contained in the first semester student papers in the Indonesian language study program at Univeristas Al Asyariah Mandar. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The instrument used in this study was the human instrument. The data collection technique used is the note taking technique. The object under study is a paper written by a student. The results showed that from 14 research sources 32 data were produced and there were three types of errors in the use of affixes, namely prefixes, confixes, and simulfices. As for the prefix error, which is 1 error or 3.13%, there are 18 errors or 56.25% and 1 error or 3.13%. Errors in the use of confixes, namely as many as 1 error or 3.13%, and as many as 8 errors or 25.00% and in-i as much as 1 error or 13.13%. Error in using simulfix, which is 2 errors or 6.25%. Based on the results of data analysis that has been done, it can be concluded that students make a lot of mistakes in the use of pre-prefixes. In addition, various spelling errors were also found. Therefore, mastering affixes and spelling needs to find a solution.

Religiosity is a benchmark for studying religion. In doing scientific work, students need to pay attention to the ethics of writing scientific papers. but some students do not understand writing and want an instant way to be able to quote sentences without including the author's name. This study aims to determine the level of influence of religiosity on the ethics of writing scientific papers for students of the 2017 Islamic Religious Education Study Program, Faculty of Islamic Studies, Islamic University of Indonesia. This type of research is field research with a quantitative approach. The object of this research is Religiosity (X) and Ethics of Scientific Writing (Y). In addition, this study used 41 random samples from 161 students, while to analyze the level of influence of religiosity on the ethics of scientific writing using simple linear regression analysis techniques. Based on the results of research and data analysis with simple linear regression analysis calculations, the results are the magnitude of the influence of religiosity R 0.573 obtained R Square of 0.328 or 32.8% and 67.2% influenced by other factors such as lack of socialization, poor understanding of scientific writing, lack of supervision, technological progress, student laziness, negative attitude so that it can be concluded that the influence of religiosity on the ethics of writing scientific papers for students of the 2017 Islamic Religious Education Study Program, Faculty of Islamic Studies, Islamic University of Indonesia by 32.8% is influenced by religiosity factors.

This study was conducted to develop evaluation instruments for scientific writing instruction with a constructivism approach. The development of evaluation instruments is important to provide valid and reliable measurement to measure the success rate of scientific writing instruction with a constructivism approach. In order to achieve these objectives, the combined models of development, i.e. 4D and RDR were used. The implementation of the development consisted of four stages, namely the preliminary study, define, design, and product development. The research data were in the form of quantitative and qualitative data and the data sources were the students, lecturers, practitioners, and experts in relevant fields of study. Data analysis technique was the domain technique and t test statistical technique for related samples. Based on the results, the obtained development product in the form of the evaluation of the instruction of writing scientific papers were valid and reliable. The development product consisted of four types of evaluation devices, the assessment rubrics, portfolios, observation sheets, and learning journal. Based on the results of the four development products, the effectiveness test was valid and reliable so that it can be used to conduct evaluation of learning to write scientific papers with constructivism approach, both for the evaluation of the process and the evaluation of the learning outcomes.

This study aims at determining the effectiveness of meaningfulness approach in enhancing students’ speaking skill at German Language Study Program, Faculty of Languages and Literature, State University of Makassar. This study used a Pre - Experimental Design, and applied one group pre-test - post-test design. The population was the fifth semester student years 2011-2012 at the German language education study program with the total sample was 64 students by using total sampling method. Inferential statistics analysis in form of t-test was used to test research hypothesis. The result of this study showed that t = 4,09 is higher than t- table (t table = 1,999) at the significance level 0.05 or 4 , 09 ≥ 1,999 . The result showed that the meaningfulness approach was effective in enhancing students’ speaking skill at German Language Study Program, Faculty of Languages and Literature, State University of Makassar.

The School of Linguistics and Applied Language Studies (LALS) at Victoria University of Wellington conducts research and teaching in Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, Writing and Deaf Studies. It incorporates a Deaf Studies Research Unit, which undertakes research on topics relating to deaf people and their language in New Zealand, and the New Zealand Dictionary Centre, set up in partnership with Oxford University Press, which provides a base for research into New Zealand lexicography and aspects of language in New Zealand. It also incorporates an English Language Institute, which specialises in teaching English language courses and teacher education programmes. A particular strength of the School's makeup is the opportunity to engage in research which benefits and is benefited by both theoretical and practical approaches to issues in linguistics and applied linguistics. This report describes one of a number of examples of the productive integration of language teaching and language research at LALS. We describe an ongoing research project that has developed organically over the past twelve years. The research involved first collecting and analysing authentic workplace interaction between native speakers, and then making use of it in explicit instruction aimed at developing socio-pragmatic proficiency in the workplace among skilled migrants with English as an Additional Language (EAL). We are now engaged in evaluating the results of the instruction, not only in the classroom, but also in workplaces where the migrants have been placed as interns.

This study aims to (1) classify errors in the use of Indonesianlanguage which include the use of spelling and punctuation, word selection,sentence composition, paragraph preparation in the scientific work of FTKUIN Mataram students; (2) describe the obstacles and solutions for the useof Indonesian in writing scientific papers among students of UIN Mataram.This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach that is supported by verbaldata writing. Data collection in research uses documentation and interviews.The documentation was taken from the fifth semester students’ scientificwork of the Arabic Language Education Department. The results showedthat the errors in the use of Indonesian language of FTK UIN Mataramstudents included 35% letter writing errors, 45% writing punctuation errors,25% word selection errors, and 20% sentence writing mistakes. The obstaclesin the use of Indonesian in the scientific work of students of the Faculty ofEngineering UIN Mataram are language barriers and non-language barriers.Language barriers in the form of not mastering Indonesian languagerules correctly, and non-linguistic barriers include lack of practice andhabituation, control of the results of writing scientific papers for studentsof the Faculty of Engineering UIN Mataram. The solution that can bedone is to get used to the use of Indonesian language based on languagerules, coaching by lecturers through mentoring writing scientific papers.   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengklasifikasikan kesalahanpenggunaan bahasa Indonesia yang meliputi pengguanaan ejaan dan tandabaca, pemilihan kata, penyusunan kalimat, penyusunan paragraf dalamkarya ilmiah mahasiswa FTK UIN Mataram; (2) mendeskripsikan hambatandan solusi penggunaan bahasa Indonesia dalam penulisan karya ilmiah dikalangan Mahasiswa FTK UIN Mataram. Penelitian ini menggunakanpendekatan kualitatif deskriptif yang didukung dengan data verbal tulisan.Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian menggunakan dokumentasi danwawancara. Dokumentasi diambil dari karya ilmiah mahasiswa semesterV Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Arab. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwakesalahan penggunaan bahasa Indonesia mahasiswa FTK UIN Mataram meliputi kesalahan penulisan huruf 35%, kesalahan penulisan tanda baca45%, kesalahan dalam pemilihan kata 25%, dan kesalahan dalam penyusunankalimat 20%. Adapun hambatan dalam penggunaan bahasa Indonesia dalamkarya ilmiah mahasiswa FTK UIN Mataram adalah hambatan kebahasaandan hambatan non-kebahasaan. Hambatan kebahasaan berupa kurangmenguasai kaidah bahasa Indonesia dengan benar, dan hambatan nonkebahasaanmeliputi kurangnya latihan dan pembiasaan, pengontrolanterhadap hasil menulis karya ilmiah bagi mahasiswa FTK UIN Mataram.Adapun solusi yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan pembiasaan penggunaanbahasa Indonesia berdasarkan kaidah kebahasaan, pembinaan oleh dosenmelalui pendampingan penulisan karya tulis ilmiah.

Research and Development methods are used in this research. The objective of the research is to develop teaching materials focused on the criteria and quality. This instructional material as a guidebook of the subject course to improve student’s learning in the classroom, so the students got the understanding and improved skills in learning the Indonesian language. This instructional material, as a reference to the Indonesian language for students of PBI UNISNU Jepara is to improve students’ motivation and increase their understanding in self-learning. This textbook development procedure consists of 4 stages: planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation. This textbook is created by the lecturer, are given suggestion by expert and peers (in peer review section). This teaching book is then evaluated the quality by the lecturers who are appointed as assessors and students as a filling instrument practicality of the textbook. Quality data obtained from the descriptive analysis is then changed into the score. This category is then converted into a conversion score in order to know the quality and value of textbooks used in the learning process of teaching Indonesian language courses.
