Mykhailo Deineha is a prominent artist, painter, weaver, and professor. His creative output includes more than a hundred paintings, each of which is unique. The artist has dedicated more than 30 years to his favorite craft. Mykhailo Deineha is a man of high culture and diverse talents. For many years, he has held the position of director of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Art Museum and for more than 10 years he has been professor at the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. His broad experience and strong academic background that he gained while studying at the Lviv National Academy of Arts contribute to the ability of the artist to create freely. No limitations exist for Deineha in his work, he is not tied to specific plots or techniques. He is constantly experimenting, looking for new ideas and forms. Among the genres in his creative work are most often abstract works and landscapes, sometimes portraits and still lifes. Nature is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for the artist. That is why he often goes to open airs, during which he experiences new feelings and tries to focus on his feelings and emotions. This process is integral to his creative approach, because association is the pillar of all Deineha's works. The associative series become key in the form making, and color is the main means of expression in his works. The artist pays considerable attention to color combinations, because he believes that color is the main factor in creativity after emotions and impressions. The color scheme in the works of the artist is always complex and saturated, and the palette is extremely rich. Although Deineha often likes to use local colors and contrasting combinations, he has a very subtle sense of painting, which is immediately noticeable in his paintings. This is how Mykhailo Deineha’s unique style of work developed — associative painting. This approach implies a clear transmission of associations by the author and a mandatory understanding of the work by the viewer. The work should not be extremely realistic, may have a somewhat simplified character and form, the general features may even be abstract. However, if the author painted the canvas under the impression of mountain landscapes, it will be read immediately and the viewer will be able to feel it for himself.

The article examines an electronic journal as a modern type of a periodical from the standpoint of the distinguishing features of the color palette (color system). The topic of the color influence on the user in the electronic journals’ design has not been substantially studied to date. With the aim of attracting the target audience not only the content is important, but also the design. The emphasis is laid on identifying the relationship between the color system applied for the journal’s design and its content (functional focus). The author sampled and analyzed a considerable amount of factual material, representing the examples of the electronic pages’ design of the journals and magazines of various types. In accordance with the division into thematic groups, characteristic color combinations and the patterns of their use on the page were identified. The thematic component is far from being crucial in choosing the electronic journal’s color scheme. The reason for this is the presence of a large number of additional factors affecting its formation. Moreover, there are general trends in graphic design that set conventional limitations for the color palette, especially the trend towards minimalism.

This article analyzes the newspaper texts from the perspective of specificity of manifestation of the literary jargonizing type of speech culture – one of the relevant tasks of modern speech studies, substantiated by the state of modern journalism and linguistic problems of mass media. This paper complements a range of linguistic research that determine the attributes of the types of speech culture. The object of this article is the journalistic speech of the popular weekly newspaper “Komsomolskaya Pravda”, the linguistic peculiarities of which (intentional inclusion in the texts of colloquialisms and jargon elements) are substantiated by the thematic orientation of publications. The subject of this article is the texts of articles written by the correspondent A. Meshkov in their ration with the specificity of manifestation of the markers of literary-jargonizing type of speech culture. Special attention is given to the peculiarities of creative style of the journalist, which allow tracing the goals of jargonization of the own speech. The analysis of speech culture of A. Meshkov is based on the anthropocentric approach, as well as linguostylistic, communicative and discursive methods of modern Russian studies. The conclusion is made that the literary-jargonizing type cannot have an unambiguous assessment, since it characterizes different types of the users of jargon speech. The novelty of the study consists in the attempt to extend the boundaries of literary-jargonizing type by determining two variations with the common and distinguishing features. Analysis of the articles authored by A. Meshkov allows attributing his speech culture to the second type of literary jargonization, which is characterized by appropriateness and expediency of using extraliterary linguistic units for delivering the author’s message, professional degree, experience, creative individuality, and unique style.

Through his life as a pupil in his early years and the transformation into a Fauve (wild beast), Henri Matisse learnt that he must forgo the traditional techniques of the masters and understand art in his own way. He first replaced the color scheme in his paintings with purer colors and clearer outlines of color ranges; in his later life, he devoted himself to two-dimensional coloring and finally to two-dimensional paper cut-outs. Therewith, a unique style brought forth by Henri Matisse took shape, ushering the diversification of the drawing medium. Since then, paintings are no more confined to rigid classicism, which only explores the relationship between colors in sketch-based three-dimensional spaces, but a reflection of the painters’ scrutiny of the nature of painting.
