Effective fight against unfair competition is one of the priorities of state policy and development strategy of each business unit. At the same time, in today's difficult economic environment, exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic, many businesses face numerous hybrid financial conflicts, including unfair competition. In this context, the article substantiates the need to find new ways to combat this destructive phenomenon. The author considers the approaches of scientists to understanding the essence of unfair competition and the peculiarities of its legislative regulation. An analysis of the impact of unfair competition on the financial and economic activities of business entities in Ukraine. The article notes that with a fairly broad interpretation of the essence of the concept of «unfair competition» is not always possible to correctly classify certain methods of competition. Blurred boundaries between healthy and unfair competition are a prerequisite for hybrid financial conflicts. The author identifies key manifestations of unfair competition, in particular: economic espionage, influence on consumers by manipulating information, counterfeiting competitors, bribery and blackmail, corruption, financial fraud. Technologies of interaction of unfair competitors with employees of the victim enterprise in order to obtain its confidential financial information are described. These are various negotiations, which often take place through bribery or with elements of psychological pressure, in particular, intimidation, blackmail. In addition, it is determined that in the implementation of unfair competitive activities are actively used technologies of interaction with government agencies and due to corruption mechanisms gain a competitive advantage. Technologies of interaction with the media are also revealed, the purpose of which is to form a favorable public opinion for competitors about the activities of the victim enterprise and to compromise the management of the business entity and products or services offered by it on the market. The article examines the most common types of unfair actions that are carried out in order to achieve undue advantages in competition. In order to counteract unfair actions by competitors, the need to balance the financial interests of market participants is justified, in particular, emphasis is placed on the need for competitive intelligence to raise awareness of potential threats from competitors and protect the internal environment from economic espionage.

Examining the transformation of financial relations in Ukraine, in the previous article the authors analyzed the impact of foreign capital on the economic development of this country’s economy and found that its concentration in certain economic activities contributed to consolidating its raw material orientation. The authors conclude that due to the distorted model of Ukraine's economic development, successful practices of developed countries to attract foreign investment and reform the financial sector are ineffective in this country’s economy. Continuing the study of the transformations of financial relations in Ukraine, which are taking place under the influence of the approximation of domestic legislation to European standards, the authors could not leave aside the question of impact of the liberalization of currency legislation on the economy. Given that currency liberalization significantly affects the behavior of foreign investors, the authors conducted an in-depth analysis of legislative changes in the financial sector, and described the main results of their implementation. The positive and negative consequences of currency liberalization in Ukraine for business entities and the economy in general are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the risks associated with the liberalization of operations related to the movement of capital and the behavior of non-residents in the financial market of Ukraine. It is concluded that Ukraine’s economy with its distorted development model belongs to the financially and institutionally weak ones, hence is not presently ready to liberalize its monetary relations, which could only deepen the deformations and reduce resilience to macroeconomic imbalances.

The article discusses the impact of government measures in regulating production of fish resources on daily life of fishing communities of the Ob North and on related public moods. The main conclusions are based on the data obtained during expeditionary works in Beloyarsky, Oktyabrsky and Berezovsky districts of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug–Ugra) and introduce indigenous peoples' opinions in scientific discourse. Associated normative documents, scientific literature and publications in the media were also used in the article. The study identified positive and negative factors affecting the socio-economic condition of rural communities of the Ob North. It is noted that a wide system of state support has been formed in Yugra, which allows to promote the development of indigenous traditional economic activities including fishing. At the same time, in reality people faced many bureaucratic obstacles that impede realization of their legal rights and make them « involuntary poachers». Among such obstacles are: the declarative principle of granting rights to fish production; quotas for personal consumption; restrictions on fishing gear, species of fish and the timing of its catch; complicated procedure for accounting catch amount and reporting on it; selling problems; imperfection of legislative and regulatory framework on the basis of which traditional fishing is carried out. Special attention is paid to identification of collisions related to the lack of documentary evidence of the Russian Federation citizens belonging to indigenous peoples. It makes difficult the implementation of their rights provided by the legislation and confuses environmental authorities, which are monitoring the legality of the extraction (catch) of water resources. Existing situation creates potential conflicts and requires corresponding changes in the current legislation

The article analyzes the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on business activities in Ukraine and the world and its financial security. The analysis showed that the economy of Ukraine and most countries of the world suffered significant losses from the introduction of anti-epidemic restrictions on business activity, which turned out to be in the fall of GDP, index of industrial production investment activity. Because of temporary or complete shutdown of business the unemployment rate increased significantly. The pandemic crisis also negatively impacted the financial results of enterprises, which decreased significantly in all kinds of economic activities, especially in industry, transport, temporary accommodation and catering, where the share of unprofitable enterprises reaches 73%. Thus, the problem of ensuring the financial security of business becomes relevant. The aim of the work is to develop methodological approaches to assessing the impact of the pandemic crisis on the financial security of business and to identify effective ways of ensuring such security. In the process of research methods of scientific abstraction, comparative and system analysis and synthesis, systematization and logical generalization were used. It was determined that the pandemic affected small and medium businesses most of all, where a strong negative impact was experienced by more than 60% of entrepreneurs. Large businesses were less affected, but they also suffered significant losses due to the decline in business activity and demand in the domestic and foreign markets. Agriculture was least affected by the pandemic, which suffered the least losses, primarily due to the insignificant impact of restrictions affecting the activities of this business. The paper systematized the risks arising from the factors of the pandemic crisis, identifying their manifestations and financial implications for business. As shown by the research, such consequences are manifested in the form of full or partial loss of profits, problems with debt repayment, reduction of financial stability, liquidity, increase in accounts receivable, increased costs for anti-epidemic measures, etc. Thus, the procedure for assessing the business’s financial security is to take into account all factors that shape the financial situation of business entities during a pandemic crisis in a comprehensive manner.

The article aims at summarizing the existing risk management strategies helping to prevent bankruptcy and liquidation of enterprises, taking into account modern environmental challenges and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the performance of business units. As a result of the study, tactical and strategic methods of risk management were identified. The components of the risk management process are identified in accordance with international standards. The main types of enterprise management strategies in crisis situations are described, highlighting the ERM approach, together with its main differences and advantages for its use at enterprises. Statistical data on the number of business entities in Ukraine and the number of bankruptcy proceedings in 2016-2020 are analyzed. It is emphasized that the goals and main tasks of the state policy of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine for 2021-2023 include the introduction of transparent bankruptcy procedures, which will quickly restore the debtor's solvency or fairly distribute the bankrupt's assets among creditors. Changes to the procedure for initiating bankruptcy proceedings of a legal entity, defined by the Bankruptcy Procedure Code of Ukraine, are suggested. Threats to businesses engaged in foreign economic transactions are presented based on an overall assessment of the global impact of risk scenarios on business (GBI). It is proven that the rationalization of strategic planning instruments and the implementation of a systemic approach to the crisis management of an entity, in general, and its financial and economic activities, in particular, influence greatly the effectiveness of restoring the financial solvency of that entity in a crisis situation. Determining the effectiveness of state support programs for carrying out business activity in the pandemic, and assessing the medium-term effectiveness of measures taken by government agencies make up the directions for further research.

The purpose of the article is to analyse the current state of regional media platforms, identify development problems and justify solutions. Methodology. General scientific methods are used in the research. Among them are generalizations, comparisons, statistical analysis – to analyse views of the scientists on the current state of providing regional media platforms, identify development problems and justify solutions. Results. In the process of analysing the current state of regional media platforms development, an increase in the number of business entities in Ukraine that provide information and telecommunications services (in 2010–2018 from 55,977 to 174,622 units) was revealed. In general, the increase was due to an increase in the number of information services and computer programming, consulting and related activities. Considering the field of publishing, film production, radio broadcasting and television broadcasting, it is necessary to state the fact that during the study period, the number of subjects decreased significantly. This trend is observed due to the reform implemented in these areas. The leaders of the reform process are Kirovohrad region, where 25 out of 28 print media and editorial offices have been reformed, Zhytomyr (24 out of 28), Khmelnytsky (23 out of 27), Mykolaiv (22 out of 26), Poltava (26 out of 31), Ternopil (16 out of 21) regions. Outsiders of the reform process are Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Transcarpathian regions and the city of Kyiv. In particular, in Kyiv, according to the monitoring data, none of the 4 communal mass media was reformed, and in the Transcarpathian region, 3 out of 31 editions were reformed. The volume of sold products by enterprises of the type of economic activity “information and telecommunications” increased 3.8 times or by 200,727.1 million UAH. A significant increase in sales is observed in all areas, except for magazines and periodicals. This once again confirms our opinion that the majority of the population gets information from the Internet but not from print media. Therefore, the volume of sold products has decreased significantly. The main problems hindering the development of regional media platforms are presented. The main problems include: inadequate provision of the Internet access; low quality of traffic, content (no advertising market, no paid subscription) and fact-checking; the influence of the media founders on editorial policy; the dominance of hidden advertising. Practical meaning. These problems of media platforms will allow to form their development strategy. Prospects for further research. The study will substantiate the prospects for the development of regional media platforms in Ukraine.

The selection of this title was based on the anxiety towards entrepreneurship education phenomenon in hinger institutions which has only been introduced in 1900s. The number of universities and higher institutions in big cities offering at least on class of entreprenenurship is increasing every year; however, hinger institutions are still limited to merely creating graduates as job seekers instead of graduates as job creators. Further, the lack of integration between entrepreneurship education and the structure of curriculum causes problems related to entrepreneurship mental; separated itself from the industry sector, and causes lack of orientation to business development and business opportunities. The issue raised in this research is related to the strategy and development of entrepreneurship program focusing on Philosophical Problematic; entrepreneurship meaning-building, Process Problematic: entrepreneurship development policy, Result Problematic: the impact of entrepreneurship development, Strategy Problematic: the search for model and strategy of entrepreneurship development in higher institutions. Despite of the popularity of interactive movie trailers, rigorous research on one of the most apparent features of these interfaces – the level of user control – has been scarce. This study explored the effects of user control on users’ immersion and enjoyment of the movie trailers, moderated by the content type. We conducted a 2 (high user control versus low user control) × 2 (drama film trailer versus documentary film trailer) mixed-design factorial experiment. The results showed that the level of user control over movie trailer interfaces decreased users’ immersion when the trailer had an element of traditional story structure, such as a drama film trailer. Participants in the high user control condition answered that they were less fascinated with, absorbed in, focused on, mentally involved with, and emotionally affected by the movie trailer than participants in the low user control condition only with the drama movie trailer. The negative effects of user control on the level of immersion for the drama trailer translated into users’ enjoyment. The impact of user control over interfaces on immersion and enjoyment varies depending on the nature of the media content, which suggests a possible trade-off between the level of user control and entertainment outcomes.
